Fantastic experience: Good

Negative experience: Gym has been very dirty in recent weeks. Both floors and machines are dusty and dirty!!!

Negative experience: Last time I went which was, admittedly, a while ago I just remember the equipment being nasty, plastic, cheap equipment but I guess you get what you pay for. As it's largely unmanned by any staff, you often get youngsters in there causing all sorts of mayhem. If you don't mind working out amongst the, mainly, younger populous, then I guess it's fine but as another reviewer said, there's absolutely no privacy on any of the machines. For the person that mentioned the Ergs, I wonder if he/she doesn't realise that the drag is changeable with the lever on the side - it goes from 1 - 10 but having it at 10 doesn't mean that it's set at its hardest or 1 is its easiest - it just changes the amount of air that gets into the fan - the drag is determined mostly by the push you make with your legs.

Negative experience: The A/C is non-existent. A very hot and stuffy atmosphere even at 22.00. A lot of people have been complaining about it over the last few months but nothing has changed. I personally sent an email to the local manager and I got a reply that A) the temperature is fine!? and B) that this is controlled by the headquarters who constantly monitor the temperature (that's a joke) Puregym, If you don't want to spend money on A/C just put air circulation from outside...at least that would be better from the oven we are in...

Fantastic experience: Great gym! My induction was fab, thank you Kieran Watts (Assistant manager) equipment was clean and well maintained and it was a good atmosphere. Looking forward to working on my fitness at this gym.

Positive experience: Pure in my area is good , only downside is the car can be difficult to park at prime time.

Negative experience: too small, too many people, constantly being hassled for the machines by rude, arrogant meatheads. Supposed to share machines between sets- not very covid safe is it?

Positive experience: Good to burn the extra calories ️‍♀️

Negative experience: You only get 2.5 hours of parking, in my opinion some gym seshes take 3-4 hours if it's one of those days. Not many machines for legs, or many machines in general. There's only one of everything so it can be quite annoying to try and do what you want. Very open and zero privacy I prefer when puregyms have the tinted plastic around machines.

Fantastic experience: Good gym with lots of equipment

Positive experience: It's a Pure Gym, so you pretty much know what to expect. As it's formerly a Lidl grocery store, the space is big and open and can be quite noisy if there is a class in session. Good selection of equipment and free weights, but the locker rooms are cramped considering the size of the gym.

Negative experience: Gym is fine, but got parking tickets when training for 3+ h....

Positive experience: It is a pretty good gym, but they need to stop polishing the benches as everyone slides across the gym on them and more plates are a must!!! But it is a pretty clean gym.

Positive experience: Joined the gym and thoroughly enjoyed my first session. Lots of different equipment and although busy was able to access most.

Negative experience: Over sold on memberships. Unable to access equipment due to over crowding. School kids attending in groups of 5/6/7. Just impossible really.

Positive experience: Just not enough space when it's the peak time.

Negative experience: Pretty rubbish - I went on a Sunday afternoon and was absolutely packed. 2 people queuing up for a bench press. Probably a combination of it being cheap and in a convenient spot. God knows what it’s like on a workday after 4ish

Negative experience: Unfortunately now too busy. A 45 minute workout can now take close to 1 hour 30 minutes because there can be literally four people waiting for one machine. This gym is just too small for the amount of members that it has. Will sadly have to look for another gym.

Positive experience: The gym is ok packed after 6pm weekends are good. But not a bad place to work out.

Positive experience: Decent enough for a commercial gym. Be great to have a Hack Squat. Gets extremely busy

Fantastic experience: 11pm and I was at the gym 1am I left the gym, call me crazy but its great only a handful of people in there and no people walking by staring at you ..... love pure gym, always clean n tidy, good air circulation and great equipment

Negative experience: Woke gym, poor equipment, dated and poor customer service

Negative experience: Issued parking ticket even though there's proof on their own app of being in the gym the whole time. Parking company sent out reminder for £170 but there was no initial letter. There's no phone to call as the parking company phone is disconnected. An appeal was made over 2 weeks ago with no reply.

Negative experience: Small and cramped, with limited amenities.

Fantastic experience: Good equipment , friendly staff, free parking, clean environment to train in, locker room ,toilets and showers are cleaned to a high standard. A safe, clean , friendly gym.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, good equipment, no frills gym. Parking: you need to log your registration at the entrance and scab your QR code to get in. About 10% gym bunnies, big range of fitness levels, feels welcoming to newbies.

Negative experience: Really disappointed with puregym! It’s not easy to cancel a direct debit with them. I will never use their gym again

Fantastic experience: I'm visiting my parents from the US and have purchased a months membership. I love this gym. It is very clean and spacious. Range of equipment is outstanding. If I ever move back to the UK I would have a permanent membership at Witney Pure Gym for sure.

Positive experience: Decent amount of new equipment the size of gym is ok not quite as large as other pure gyms I've been to but it's reasonable and gym is nice and clean also the amount of parking space available is very good would definitely recommend

Negative experience: Overcrowded with poor choice of equipment. Weights left scattered around floor and on equipment. Always waiting to use a machine whilst others Instagram themselves doing very little.

Positive experience: Nice clean gym. Good range of classes of varying intensity. My only issue is parking ‍♀️☹️. I'm not sure what if anything can be done about it, but between 5pm -7pm you're very lucky to find a bay

Positive experience: Great staff, great range of equipment and generally a very good gym. The app is useful to book classes and check how busy it is... I'd avoid 6pm-8pm if your wanting to go when it's less busy and park easily! Lots of free weights and machines for use, also vending machines and sport water dispenser for premium members. Dropped a star because I've been trying to get the rowing ergs fixed properly for over 6 months. They are serviced but not calibrated so none of the 4 ergs have variable resistance, you are stuck with what it's set at & its pot luck which isn't ideal for training, 1 is at a normal level, the other 3 are too low or high. It's a minor niggle but it's my main cardio due to bad knees and it's very annoying, not sure how a company can service but not calibrate gym equipment. Also random photo off an erg with me trying to get back to a sub-7min 2k row before the ergs went

Fantastic experience: Great gym and very well organised with many different machines and classes to book. Big car park outside. Chancing rooms always clean, I tend to pick morning times, typically not very crowded and never had to queue to exercise. They've been also very careful in providing sanitiser during covid restrictions

Fantastic experience: Nice large, clean gym. Staff are nice and you can just train with no issues. I go in the day as starts to get really busy after 5pm.

Fantastic experience: Love it! The gym is always clean, the trainers are happy to assist with any questions you have and show you how to use equipment that you don't know or you are just unsure on how to you it. Very happy I joined this gym!

Positive experience: Quite busy since Christmas, up to 100+ people exercising at times making it more difficult to use the gym, if one is not too keen to queue up for the stations one wants. PG activity looking to sign new customers with a 0% joining fee incentive surely contributing to this situation. Staff present in the gym are always helpful though and most people considerate and courteous wiping down stations after use. One point deduction for increased fees while trying to sign new customers while visitor levels clearly lead to overcrowding.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! The staff are very approachable, there is loads of equipment and great sounding classes (not my scene). There is an abundance of parking for which you need to sign in. Their Covid measures are good, with loafs of gel and antiseptic wipes. The equipment is new and a pleasure to use. The layout is brilliant with clear zones for aerobic exercise, stretching, weights, machines and classes. Change rooms/toilets are clean and there are enough showers and lockers. Covid care is well managed. My biggest bugbear is a very small minority of people don't wipe the equipment after use and a very small minority don't put stretch mats back. I would love to see the Puregym team (including PAs) to monitor that.

Fantastic experience: Brand new gym to the Witney area, modern fit out, great equipment, air conditioned and free parking!

Fantastic experience: brilliant gym very good , with lots of equipment available and always with the help of the pts .

Fantastic experience: Great new gym, plenty of new equipment, decent choice of cable machines and a big free weight area, spacious studio for group classes and open 24 hours a day! There are lockers available to use (bring your own padlocks), there's a couple of showers in the changing rooms, vending machines selling your typical sports drinks, protein shakes and bars, to padlocks, headphones, key fobs and other "essentials". The ability to see how busy the gym is on the app before you go is handy, as well as how busy it is predicted to be at certain times of the day.

Positive experience: If this is what a post pandemic gym looks like, then I hope it stays this way forever. There's just so much space to move about. You're not trying to squeeze past someone or race to beat another to the only open bench. On the general side, it has basically anything to match your training - CrossFit style workouts/weightlifting/bodybuilding/general fitness etc.

Fantastic experience: The biceps bench very poor quality hurting the wrists also the air conditioner very cold and powerful i'ver during the winter time
