Fantastic experience: Loved it here staff very professional and very polite made visit to Starbucks debbie the manager their very nice and so friendly great place to go for a coffee and to the hotel for an overnight stay this hotel is a must if in the area just a short walk over the bridge takes you to the hydro ,armadillo ,SECC great for all concerts .

Positive experience: Overall experience is very good but menu is bit pricey

Negative experience: Our family had a birthday lunch Saturday 14th December. The server Blanch gave..she went “all out” The food served was in particular “chips” were over cooked and dried up we didn’t eat them. The katsu curry was bland Not enjoyed . I would not recommend to eat here

Positive experience: Could only find 1 USB point. In this day and age, you need at least 4 USB charging points so I recommend a plug adapter is brought to charger phones, vapes and the likes. No other flaws. Great hotel

Fantastic experience: Excellent Stay at Village Hotel Glasgow I recently stayed at the Village Hotel Glasgow, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel is massive, and the spaciousness is felt not just in its size but in the design of the rooms. My room was big, modern, and spotless, offering plenty of comfort during my stay. The facilities were top-notch. The gym was well-equipped, and the swimming pool was a great place to relax after a busy day. It’s clear that cleanliness and maintenance are a priority here, as everything was in excellent condition. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with any questions or requests. The food was another highlight—delicious and with plenty of variety to suit all tastes. Overall, the Village Hotel Glasgow is perfect for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, whether you're there for business or leisure. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Great location for Hydro. Staff seem nice. Paid for & promised full cooked breakfast but managed to secure some toast (once they eventually refilled the bread). Food & staff badly under-resourced with people queuing for far too long for hot options. There are plenty of other & better breakfast options in the area. Save yer money & go there! Oh & if you’re coming mid-week remember to add on your parking!

Fantastic experience: Was in the Village today and again Alaina and Blanch noticed i wasn,t myself .Once again the 2 of them made sure i was ok without bringing it to anyones attention Thanks girls

Positive experience: A friend and I ate in the restaurant at lunchtime. We had been before and much preferred the previous menu. Blanche was our server and she couldn't have been better, very friendly and approachable whilst being very professional. For the first time in any of our visits we were asked to complete the allergy/ intolerance card. Despite saying no dairy or yeast, in one meal, they got mixed up, apparently in the kitchen, and i got the one with dairy. We didn't have time to wait for a replacement so swapped meals. This could have been extremely distressing for me if I hadn't realised when I bit into my wrap that it contained dairy. Kitchen staff need to pay attention when giving them to server. The restaurant was also extremely cold but Blanche was able to sort it

Negative experience: Horrifically expensive for what you get. Breakfast is pretty poor, with small selection of food and greasy cooked breakfasts. Cancellation policy is not clear on any of the bookings with confusing booking policy. For £250 a night, they could at least staff the reception. Location is next to a busy road. The only reason I stay here is that work insists on it. I would never stay here if I had to pay for it myself.

Fantastic experience: I arrived in the middle of the night without a reservation. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and found a room for me with extended checkout time. I’m eternally grateful for the help they gave me.

Positive experience: Excellent location for a show at the Hydro / SECC

Negative experience: Me and my friend booked this hotel for a few days to celebrate our birthdays, was quite high priced but initially looked like a lovely place to stay. When we arrived, we got charged for parking which isn’t necessary when paying a lot for the room anyways. Only one person on reception, felt very rushed and wasn’t great customer service. The room itself is decent, we booked 2 double beds which are fairly comfy and had good sleep both nights. There was a few faults, the bottom of the shower was quite dirty which obviously doesn’t give the best impression, heating and a/c doesn’t work properly and desk chair is very frayed and covered in stains. On our second night staying, we ordered room service. The QR code that was given did not work at all for both of us online, we had to call reception, receptionist was very understanding and helpful with the situation. 20 minutes later we heard knocking on the door, our food was on a trolley and she let herself into the room and ended up spilling a drink all over the tray of food and utensils, she proceeded to basically chuck our food on the end of the bed, walked off with our cutlery which meant we couldn’t eat our food and it got cold very quickly. She came back 10 mins later with a new drink and cutlery, there was no apology and she seemed very awkward and didn’t look like she wanted to be here. Food was very bland and cold, our ice cream had melted by the time we ate dinner and we found what looked like nuts in the brownie bites on the side, what could have happened if we had an allergy and totally unaware with no allergen info to be seen. Little bit to add and would advise, ‘do not disturb’ signs would be good to have as we arrived back to our room late afternoon and our stuff had been moved off the beds to be made and we never got informed that would happen. Would not recommend the rooms or food to others, unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Positive experience: Perfect night away. We got a fantastic deal for a club room which included leisure use and voucher for our dinner. It was my husband's birthday and they added a card, few balloons and drinks vouchers which was such a lovey touch. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Small football area was great fun for our son and loved the starbucks for our morning coffee. Had a lovely view of the OVO Hydro but I would say the SKY TV selection, tea and coffee could be a bit better for it being a club room and the carpets need a deep clean. All in all we had a fab stay and we will be back!

Negative experience: Don't know what the rooms are like, went here for some food. £25 for a burger followed by sticky toffee pudding. To be honest, I've had better in a wetherspoons for less than a £10. Staff are great though.

Fantastic experience: Love this venue, has a Starbucks too. Its situated near Finnieston, with amaizing views of the clyde and iconic Glasgow scenery such as the finneston cran. Was at at a wedding anniversary, the buffet food wasn't great but filled a wee hole in my belly.

Negative experience: One of the worst customer friendly hotels I’ve ever experienced and I have travelled a lot! Bad food quality with way to high prices and the worst thing about all this was the cook! He could not even make some plain and simple chicken and rice for athletes just because it’s not on the menu. The room service and cleaning was also pretty bad! No recommendation at all

Fantastic experience: I stayed here the last three nights, and to be honest chose it as I've stayed before and really liked it. I've forgotten the name of the nice chatty lady at breakfast, but was really helpful and made sure I was happy. And this theme runs throughout the hotel. While many hotels have a gym and pool and restaurant, the layout of village is probably for young professionals and people who want a bit of space to chill and get on with stuff. I was out for dinner, but breakfast was good, buffet with plenty tea and coffee and chocolate croissants. The desk staff were very helpful, including my charger which I left in room and they located and saved for me. Same time, it was nice to use the gym, where towel was provided, AFTER checkout that day allowing me to get morning task out the way and leave feeling relaxed. The rooms are nice, with a bit of urban theme which I like. I think one I stayed at near Leeds had a cartoon theme. Very good sized bed and good heating / air conditioning included a mist free mirror and free WiFi. There are a few of these over the UK and I'd thoroughly recommend. Price was similar to a premier inn, but much nicer. Location is great for Pacific Quay and secc area, about 10 minutes to Kinning Park Underground station (short cut though car park and flats opposite). And 15 minutes walk to Broomielaw and 30 ish to central station. Excellent place.

Positive experience: We paid £190 for a one night stay (overpriced). Seemed like a nice room, bed was super comfortable but maybe the duvet was more like a winters one as it was quite thick. TV seemed okay (very dusty behind tv), the back of remote was missing too. We had a problem with air-con and room was a bit too hot. Breakfast was great. My roasted salmon with garlic mash for dinner seemed good. Their Starbucks was fine. Room service system on site wasn’t good, we called reception to speak to someone and had our room service within 5 minutes.

Fantastic experience: Good medium priced hotel within walking distance to the Scottish Events Centre. The room was clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good with hot and cold foods.

Fantastic experience: This is a nice, clean and central hotel. The beds are extremely comfortable and the pillows are great too. The bathroom comes with a show and a bath which is perfect for those of us who prefer baths!!. It is centrally located and you can easily walk into Glasgow (it takes about 30mins). It is very close to SEC and the Science centre. The breakfast is tasty, especially their haggis which was cooked and spiced just right. Now for the negative side. I stayed in a room with a connecting door to the room next door. Unfortunately the people next door where very loud and I could hear every word they were saying. I was woken up several times during the night by their very loud noises. When I went to reception to ask to change rooms when it first started they said they were full, but would see what they could do and for me which was great. I then didn't hear anything from them to say whether they had or hadn't found a solution which was disappointing. Overall it's a good hotel, just be aware of rooms with connecting doors and maybe when you check in double check and at that point ask to swap when it is easy to do so.

Fantastic experience: I was here for a business meeting in their convention rooms. The staff and service were impeccable.

Positive experience: We ate here before a concert in the hydro...could park for 4 hours free then only £10 charged after this...perfect! Sadly the food was disappointing...and not worth the £45 we paid. They also misplaced our order as we had to enquire after waiting 50 mins and l appreciate they were very busy that night ....they apologised and said it was bring prepared right away. Great for parking but food was a letdown.

Negative experience: The Starbucks in the reception area needs more staff. With only one person making all the coffees and taking payments, the wait time is extremely long. This leads to poor customer service and places an unfair burden on the staff.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic stay I had on 14th June to 16th . Booked due to WWE visiting hydro. Great room, staff very helpful and friendly. Great food at the restaurant. A Starbucks on the premises. Only short walk to OVO hydro for anyone attending a show or an event. Loved the hotel experience.

Positive experience: Very good location when visiting OVO Hydro. Other than that, very basic rooms, on the smaller side, not worth the price really. Breakfast was fairly disappointing, the buffet food was cold (one hour before closing).

Positive experience: Pool was closed unexpectedly during our stay. Hot water in the club room shower cut off mid-shower. Problems happen and it’s how they deal with it that matters… the customer service experience since reporting these has been awful. Would not recommend.

Negative experience: Ok currently staying here, luckily the company I work for paid. Rooms - ok, up to date and maintained. Bed - constantly moving away from wall soft lumpy cheap, Restaurant/ grill. Basic and massively over priced but not bad, took an hour to bring out mains when quiet in the restaurant, Breakfast- at £12 a head this is the biggest travesty I have ever experienced. Soggy scrambled eggs, bacon still oinking and the meat content in the sausages must be negligible, where is the square sausage ? Better off saving the breakfast price and having a Starbucks that is on site ( i ont like Starbucks but anything is better than the swill I had this morning )

Fantastic experience: Fantastic sleep in very comfortable bed. Ate in the restaurant, food was delicious. Handy having the Starbucks onsite.Only thing I could add is it would have been good to have a fridge in the bedroom, apart from that highly recommended, and would definitely stay again. Perfect location for gigs at the SECC. Big shout out to caitlyn on reception, above, and beyound service with a lovely friendly manner.

Fantastic experience: Visited The Pub to meet family on Saturday 20th April. Had several drinks and had some food which was all great. Try the Nachos! Enough to share between 3 or 4 people. Good service and good place to watch football as lots of screens. Pint of Stella £5.50. Perhaps a touch expensive.

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from a lovelie few days at the village hotel glasgow and I feel the need to leave a review on the hotel the staff and the service ..... The hotel is lovelie such a modern property really Brill location to concert halls bus services ibrox stadium etc, the hotel staff are so so lovelie a few I would really like to highlight who went the extra mile for us and made our stay very enjoyable with Blanche the restaurant supervisor such a lovelie person nothing is to much , aimee bar staff lovelie young girl very accommodating on reception hayden the night Porter who was ever so friendly and as I am a bad sleeper made sure I was ok during my nightly danders out front etc , then Adam lovelie pleasant young man nothing was to much and assisted us in everyday possible then the Starbucks girls the friendliest team of girls who kept me very hapi with my order in particular a dark haired girl I'd say mid 40s I'm so sori I never got her name but she def needs mentioned such a pleasant girl finally leanne n Megan another 2 assets to the village hotel I must say the staff alone would make me want to return to this hotel and in fact I will be i have another 2 bookings this year already Thanku everyone at the village glasgow your all the best oh ps the room was jus gorg but the staff def made the trip for me

Positive experience: Just popped in for a quick coffee and had cheesy fries with jalapeños, sour cream and salsa, very tasty. Lovely, friendly young man behind the counter. Good prices, cosy restaurant and clean bathrooms.

Positive experience: A great alternative for the nearby Premier Inn - food and drink good but not the cheapest around. Rooms very nice and beds very comfortable. SEC 2 minute walk so ideal and also nice Clyde River views!

Fantastic experience: Visited the village hotel in Glasgow as we were attending the recent C2C festival at the Ovo Hydro. It was an ideal location in a short walking distance. Our room had everything we required it was clean a nice temperature and the bed was massive! Downstairs there was a sports bar showing F1, Prem league football and Boxing it had a wide choice of drinks available as well as serving food. We ate there a couple of times and the food was outstanding I had Teryaki salmon with cauliflower rice one day then the Sunday roast turkey dinner the next which were both filling although I always have room for a pudding!! Great food and very reasonable. If you just fancy a coffee there is a Starbucks cafe on site too. We would on another occasion have availed ourselves in the gym and swimming facilities which I understand for a small price you can use. For all the facilities available I have to say the biggest plus to our stay was the staff be it receptionists, bar staff ,waitresses, cleaners etc they were friendly and efficient all a credit to the company! We hope to visit again soon and certainly look forward to it!

Positive experience: Fantastic gym and service at the bar for food, but the room cleaning service was not good. My room was not cleaned twice during my stay, which wasn't nice after a long day at work. The management was understanding however after I informed them of this.

Positive experience: Very nice hotel for the price, food is good gym and pool is always very busy with no select times for guests only in the pool. Breakfast was alway a pleasure with the hostess Blanch who always made everyone feel welcome and very at home, she's a credit to the hotel. For long term guests such as myself the cleaners could do a more thorough job i.e. dusting and sheet changes. I would return given the chance. Thanks to all the staff. John

Negative experience: Ate there last night. Only meal I’d had all day, indeed the only food I’d had all day, not even a snack. Therefore I can confidently state that the food poisoning the doctor has just confirmed I now have is down to Village.

Negative experience: Unfortunately this has gone downhill, it used to be in lovely place to visit, but got sadly endless problems during our stay, Only one reception person on, no communication about breakfast time,or location etc, we booked I evening for 530 pm we sat in the restaurant waiting for our ordered food, 1 HR later we walked out as we were going to a show, on 3 occasions we asked about our food, and was told we are busy, but it will be here soon .....not....,we had no food to eat since breakfast,and was 1030 at night we got a takeaway, Staff were polite, but were let down, by poor organisation ,from kitchen to front desk, they knew they were many other functions on. For the money we paid,a uncomfortable bed, and was not asked if everything was ok with our stay, only good thing was I went for a swim in the morning, and got charged 5 pounds,not that long ago, when u stayed u got to use the full facilities, considering what we paid to stay omg....we also had to pay for carpark in hotel grounds...

Positive experience: I had a meet up with a friend for coffee, there was only a couple of people in so not busy.We ordered two hot drinks to sit in, the staff said the dishwasher was not working so we got Paper cups ,I didn't understand why they could not wash the mugs be hand and give us a proper mug instead of a paper one at the same price, it was very Quiet so they could have washed them by hand, disappointed at the service and payed over nine pounds for to hot drinks in paper cups if I wanted that could have gone to McDonald's and it would be a fraction of the price.

Positive experience: I have been to the village hotel for meals before a concert and the food has always been very good . Service is excellent, friendly, and welcoming. This visit was fr a function and it was a very good function room the meal was very tasty and service first class. Couldn't fault it for anything.

Positive experience: Reasonably priced hotel in the Pacific Quay area of Glasgow. Free parking on weekends. Service was friendly and efficient at check in. Rooms are dark and compact, good for sleep. A little dusty and worn looking but good overall for the price paid. Large buffet style Breakfast with typical hot and cold options available.

Positive experience: Been a while since we stayed in a village hotel. Check in was smooth. 2nd floor room was OK but found it dark and small for 2 double beds location was as expected just outside the city short inexpensive taxi ride into centre. Breakfast was just OK but NO fried eggs only scrambled plenty bacon sausage beans , tomatoes, black pudding and haggis also a few assorted cereals and pastries nothing to shout about and as usual in hotels the drinks are pricey. Don't think we'll be back there as not a patch on Crowne Plaza over the river

Negative experience: We stayed Dec14th with our baby son. Around 11:35 a drunk man stumbled into our room waking us and the baby. Luckily he left when asked. When we reported it to reception they didn’t once apologise or explain why it happened, all we got was ‘I’m not sure, miscoded key card’. Which really isn’t acceptable. That situation could have been so much worse! I would never stay here again.

Positive experience: Nice looking hotel, but freezing cold inside lobby and restaurant never felt so rushed for a meal in my life every course rushed out and at the end was asked if we would like tea/coffee or the bill with the emphasis on the bill lol, our booking was for 7:15 and we were given 3 courses and out the door for 8:15

Positive experience: This is a fabulous hotel! So close to the Hydro, with ample parking. The room was lovely but a bit cold, and the service at breakfast and reception (assisted by Blanch and her team, and Sadie) was second to none. It made up for the long wait at dinner the night before!

Fantastic experience: This is my third time staying at this hotel and I'm already looking to book again. We were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and the team went above and beyond to make it a special experience, leaving a card and treats in the room for her. The lady at reception was so lovely and made sure our dinner reservation got changed to a better time for us. Such a welcoming family friendly hotel where we love going for a little getaway.

Positive experience: Village Hotel is not just a hotel. Nice atmosphere, clean and pleasant rooms, friendly service. On the ground floor there is a Starbucks Cafe and a restaurant serving tasty dishes.

Fantastic experience: The gym is an actual gym. Fully equipped, with lots of technogym machines. Even has a belt squat - I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. My go-to hotel in Glasgow for sure.

Fantastic experience: Had a really lovely stay, one night stop off en route to Skye. Lovely big and firm bed, friendly and helpful staff, excellent gym and nice sauna rooms. Breakfast was good value and location and corridors were quiet which was important for us with our 2 year old. Would happily stay again

Fantastic experience: The hotel was good, the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the indifferent reception experience, which was a shame because this is your first encounter with the hotel and it's staff. Not exactly welcoming.

Negative experience: such a bad experience from start to finish. place was dirty outside and inside the room was so tiny. carpets stunk. pool smells like sours. no soap in any the showers. staff where so unhelpful acted like the didnt want to be there. they had no customer service skills at all. breakfast was ok. staff in the bar where nice right enough well one lady in particular unfortunately cant remember her name. but i would never go back for £200 a night is ridiculous i have spent nights in nicer hostels ...

Fantastic experience: Very good location for access to the exhibition centre and Hydro. Staff were friendly, everything was spotlessly clean. My only ‘complaints’, is the lack of a power outlet on both sides of the bed and no coat hook. Otherwise, perfectly nice, reasonably priced place to stay.

Fantastic experience: The stuff was very friendly and welcoming. I have slept in many hotel beds, but this was definitely by far the most comfiest I have ever slept in. Also duvet was perfectly warm for the fresh weather outside and the 2 pillows for each person were just perfect. Also the windows are modern ones that keep the wind outside and the shower was nicely warm. It was also very silent. Small minus points: I was just surprised that there was no toilet brush at all. And the view from the 2nd floor to backyard is mostly blocked by a hotel wall itself. I Pub: we also enjoyed a lot the pub and it’s food.

Fantastic experience: Our stay at Sunrise Serenity Lodge was like a breath of fresh air. The lodge's location allowed us to witness stunning sunrises over the nearby mountains. Our cabin was clean, cozy, and had a porch where we could greet the day with a cup of coffee. The hosts were warm and provided valuable insights for exploring the surrounding trails. This is a place where mornings come to life.

Fantastic experience: Handy for Ibrox and the Secc. Friendly staff and great facilities. We ate in hotel on our first night and the food was excellent with good size portions.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to give credit were it is deserved to Stacy on reception. We called in a few weeks ago in our rented campervan before setting off back home and Stacy was so welcoming friendly and helpful. Because of this we will certainly consider staying here in future for weekend getaways

Positive experience: Stayed at this hotel a number of times and I've always enjoyed my stay. It's modern equipped with a good gym. Restaurant food is a bit pricey but it's nice.

Negative experience: Bad: No fridge in hotel room, improper lighting in bathroom, low water pressure in shower, breakfast food not as nice as other places. Good: lunch and dinner is great, staff are friendly and attending, pool and gym look good, the hotel and room look good and modern

Negative experience: ** In response to reply below - I did contact the hotel directly by email a week ago and received no reply ** Avoid this hotel. Not particularly well located, not very clean, fairly basic amenities and outlandishly overpriced. Like other reviewers, I question the credibility of the reviews that give this place 5 stars - even with everything functioning well and with the price in alignment, it would be a 3 star property by most people's standards. My stay was further complicated by the fact I was allocated a room (104) with a known vibration issue that kept me awake. They were unable to move me to another room so I canceled the remainder of my stay (5 nights) and transferred to the Hilton which was better in every way -and cheaper. However I felt that as the Village knew about the vibration issue and did not disclose it, I should've also been refunded the cost of my one night stay.

Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel , rooms with Aircon , friendliest and chattiest receptionist which I loved … The food is “ok” and unfortunately service is super slow . I would absolutely stay here again but I might go out for dinner

Negative experience: If you score this hotel four stars you must have lived in a cave. A previous review complained about poor cleaning, basically dirty, wrong check in, few electrical contacts and so on, and agree. Two stars is almost generous.

Fantastic experience: Stayed at this location a few times over the last few months for family events, work trips and as a base to attend the OVO Hydro. Rooms are great, comfy beds & clean. very conveniently located with a large car park and a great in house resteraunt.

Fantastic experience: Stayed for a long weekend and was very impressed with the excellent customer service I received throughout my stay. In particular, Ross in the Pub and Grill was very welcoming and knowledgeable, and Gaz and Megan at breakfast were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was also of very high quality. In addition, all areas of the hotel were clean, modern and well thought out. Perfect location too. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay and would definitely return again!

Fantastic experience: I recently ran a conference here for my company, we had over 300 rooms booked over 4 nights and I could not speak any higher of this hotel. The feedback so far from our delegates has been mostly 9/10 and 10/10 for all areas of service. The staff at reception, the bar/restaurant, room service and the conference support team were all really helpful and attended to everything we asked for. Rooms were clean and functional, food was excellent and even some of our delegates used the leisure facilities which are cited as being the best in the city as far as hotel gyms go. The hotel is really close to the OVO Hydro and SEC and just a short walk along the riverside to the city centre. Overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a base close to the city for a short break, or even if you are looking to host a bigger event the staff here are definitely well equipped to support this too. We will definitely host our conference here again in 2024, no doubt about it.

Positive experience: Went in for a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. First impressions were positive, relaxed atmosphere, attentive service, not too pushy, but horriawful polo shirts !!! C'Mon Village dont make your staff wear those hieous things. Made our choice and to be honest, I thought it was a big pricey. However, when the wings came out there were loads of them tossed in Buffalo sauce. (Franks Buffalo Sauce). Big thumbs up fir the Wings. Mains were a similar story . Huge plate fulls and even i was stuffed and couldn't finish. (& i love my food !!). So well done Village, great food, great service, great ambience, great portion size BUT please ditch the V polo shirts for your staff.

Positive experience: Great location. Room was comfy and clean. Facilities and prices seemed reasonable. Only gripe was the gym. I just felt the gym staff on reception could have been more attentive. I'm a hotel gym user and I have to ask for a locker key, the hotel staff seemed shocked I asked. Luckily I knew the village hotels didn't use standard lockers. An upgrade would be "hi welcome, what room, great here's a locker key and the gym is upstairs pool is here mens lockers here". Just a smoother customer service experience. The main reception was alert and attentive. Breakfast was nice enough .

Positive experience: Functional hotel well situated for SEC. Food reasonable. Main gripe was that the ventilation machinery on the roof gives off a constant roar so none of my colleagues on the top floor got a decent night's sleep. Avoid the 4th floor!

Negative experience: DON’T GO TO THIS HOTEL. Rubbish place and horrible lies. Room was absolutely terrible and they didn’t even care when I told them it was our lost special day and we want the best room they have. Paid for the weekend didn’t even spend one night there. Tried to complain but they just ignore you or keep telling us someone will call you but still nothing and I’m still waiting. Thank you Village Hotel Glasgow i will never forget how you ruined my first anniversary.

Positive experience: Ideally located for access to the SEC complex. Easy access from the motorway. Nice friendly staff. However, rooms could use a bit more attention to detail. Floors need to be vacuumed better, and bedding and walls need to be refreshed in some rooms. Overall, though, it was a lovely stay and well situated.

Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel, very funky. Staff were good, big shout out to Leeanne who was really helpful and went above and beyond. Sadly had to return my dinner as it was cold. If you are looking for somewhere to stay for an overnight it's a great place to stay. As a disabled person I found the showers very slippy. They have small discs on the floor of in part of the shower but it was very slippy. Be careful.

Positive experience: This hotel has it all. Good size rooms, showers, gym, pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Perfect for fitness enthusiasts and those who love a relaxing evening. Although I wish they had a fridge in the room and more powerful shower, this hotel is pretty good. Parking on site too. The SEC is across the road and the university campus is a 25 minute walk ish.

Fantastic experience: We had a fab time at the Village in Glasgow. Staff are very efficient, helpful and friendly, at reception, bar and breakfast! We were given a voucher for food on arrival, unexpected but very nice and we enjoyed a delicious steak with our wine. Went to show at Ovo, it only takes 8 mins to walk from Village which is another bonus. We had drink in bar on return and as residents we were told we could have drinks after the bar closed in the foyer, another nice touch. Room was a Club room very clean and spacious, all you needed for an overnight stay. See you soon Village we will be back.

Negative experience: Paid for Club room to get breakfast and use of gym and swimming pool, but the service and staff were not very helpful when it came to a few problems we talked to them about. Bathroom sink plug was jammed and it took overnight before they fixed this, remote control back was missing and this was obviously missed by ‘housekeeping’. Have no idea how because every time it was moved the batteries fell out! Was told to use towels from room for gym or pool and first 2 nights towels etc were replaced and room was cleaned. However, 3 morning after swim & gym we left 09:30 to go out for the day only to come home to wet towels, no tea, coffee etc replaced and in fact the room had not been entered! When telling this to reception staff we were told ‘they don’t clean rooms every day’! But within a few minutes a staff member came up and told us that our room had been marked as R/S which was ‘Refused Service’ and we left room early morning after breakfast so no-one in room to say this! Overall considering we paid for a ‘Club Room’ as we were treating ourself we did not feel we got the service we had paid for! Would not go back!

Fantastic experience: Awesome hotel as always with the Village Group. Room always nice and clean, nice big TV, also had sky sports as standard. Gym was nice and big, well-equipped too. steam room was nice and hot the only downsides were the sauna could’ve been hotter and the pool is slightly on the small side. Other than that great place to stay/workout/relax.

Positive experience: This place has nice rooms and an excellent gym, nice staff no real complaints just the breakfast can be a bit hit and miss at times otherwise great
