Fantastic experience: I went here for a free NHS Health Check by Active Northumberland. Tge sports centre is lovely and bright, airy and clean looking

Positive experience: pool cold

Fantastic experience: Visited soft play which was immaculate and the staff were wonderful and helpful

Positive experience: Friendly staff. Bit of trouble with logging onto the machines in the gym. Apparently because the clocks changed.

Positive experience: plenty of free parking. the staff are very helpful and friendly. lovely cafe helpful staff. we attend the swimming pool twice a week lovely pool. pool staff excellent.changing room are hit and miss. sometime clean but many a times dirty changing cubicle no locks on many doors. the toilets are smelly no lock on door.

Negative experience: Pool and gym spot on the one star is for the rude obnoxious argumentive person on the front desk she seams to think the sports centre is card payment only management needs to tell her otherwise what a let down for a lovely place where I've been going to for over 46 years when it was just a swimming pool and Bert the life gard had just started to the thing at front desk get a life would like to say a lot more but she's not worth it once again management have a word

Positive experience: Not crowded, got parked OK but I think there maybe problems at peak times

Negative experience: Little pool closed again for the 3rd week running, Apparently there’s a loose tile around the pool area. How long does a loose tile take to fix. Not great when you book swimming with a 2 year old.

Negative experience: Have always loved this centre, definitely the best pool around although with the new management I feel as though the pool area has become extremely dull and there just isn’t any light at all in there because they’ve covered up most of the windows. My main complaint though is that one member of staff who works at the front desk is so incredibly rude and condescending, I’m disabled and have a Places Leisure membership and a carer on my account too because of that, but during my latest visit the woman on reception thought it was okay to shout at me across the centre when I was going into the gym that my carer couldn’t use the machines with me, which I was already aware of but she had caused a significant amount of embarrassment and upset to me by making a scene of me in front of everyone else there and her tone was so rude towards myself and my carer, despite her being very bubbly towards everyone else there. I don’t want to return after this experience.

Fantastic experience: Excellent clean soft play ,fair price not ridiculously busy , kids loved it , well worth a visit with little ones

Positive experience: Great soft play. Good pool. Food ? Pretty standard . You don't get any sides with your toasted sandwiches anymore or burger . Which is bizarre. No menus ? Which takes staff more time to serve as people don't already know what option they will go for or pricing ? Food stops at 5 the friers go off I was told each time .. so don't try and get anything hot after half four. (Unless the three seperate times I have asked there was a problem suddenly on each day ? ) Staff mainly very helpful and friendly Swim instructors and life guards all seem lovely too when we have interacted. All in all a good place but food in general I think needs to be revised .....with sides included or stated that they aren't and which options are available and an actual physical menu or pricing list ? Soft play , pools and general areas always look really clean thanks to the staff tirelessly cleaning they seem so busy all the time.

Negative experience: Just been for a basketball session, bad experience, I won't be back: I have never seen a dirtier floor and the court wasn't ready on time.

Positive experience: Visited the soft play 0 to 4 area with my 1 year old Grandson ... Very little for the kids to do .There's a wooden ship that the children climb up onto which consists of a seat a wooden steering wheel and a hole in the floor with a wooden slope to climb down, good job I was supervising him as being 1 year old he didn't realise that if he stepped off the edge he would hurt himself falling onto wood.there was a padded circle that was empty and a toy cooker that literally had no equipment ie pots,pans,food etc. The only other thing was a wooden climbing frame very sharp edges and again not suitable for a child.of one. He came away with a bruised cheek and marks on his legs and head from the solid wood and sharp edges. Some padding really does need to be added on the wooden equipment

Positive experience: Great local facility that has just been updated to modern times. Clean and well presented inside with a large parking area at the front of the business. Large swimming pool with cafe facilities inside. Spa is modern and well kept. Staff are friendly and approachable and willing to help.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would Good facilities but sky high prices, Disinterested and bored staff and dodgy people who hassle females... Staff are no help with this either. No help with exercises, no help with goals, no actual help with the machines as staff are only there to clean. No one answers the phone when you ring, just left on hold for what seems like forever. No easy way to cancel your membership by design. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place...

Fantastic experience: Has had a few rocky weeks due to what seems to be issues with pool temp. However I'm glad to see it's back to being a fabulous pool again, Staff are really friendly and always assist if needed. On Friday my son hurt his toe & two lovely friendly girls assisted in getting in a plaster and making sure he was OK and smiling again, he even got a ice pack quickly. We had a great swim lesson where all the kids were supported so well, with a lovely clean changing room, pool is lovely and well maintained. Great classes esp love the yoga and spinning, cafe has great meals and play area always clean.

Fantastic experience: My 3 grandchildren aged 4-8 loved this play area. Large enough for them all not to get bored but not too big where the grown-ups can see them

Positive experience: Regularly use the Spa during the week, always nice and clean and usually quite quiet, Would be nice if they could copy what the other active northumberland spas do and have some relaxing music played in the spa as oppose to the Same tracks as the gym

Positive experience: The venue is great and modern. But there needs to be some parking enforcement. Litteratly 30+ spaces free yet people continue to park in the most stupid places.

Positive experience: Soft play was smallish but the reason for 3stars is the wall between the seating area and top of soft play. Hard to sit and enjoy the kids playing with some quiet when you can't see them.from the seating area.

Negative experience: It didn’t answer my mam all day she been on call with them for 12 hours straight she has got mad I can’t walk down anymore they never answer her

Positive experience: I love my swimming, but oh to have decent cubicles to shower in and not have to press the button in after a few seconds to keep the shower going! Staff are lovely though and the pool is great. Hubby likes the gym too.
