Angel Centre

Fantastic experience: I last went to the Angel Centre on 21st June 1991 when I attended the 'Dance 91' rave being held there. It was an amazing night with state of the art lighting and sound system (at the time). There were some of the top rave/techno DJ's inc Grooverider, Colin Dale & Colin Faver. The Angel Centre staff were brilliant all night long selling the bottles of water & Vicks (sure they must have gone home with tinnitus). Will have to pay a visit to reminisce.

Fantastic experience: I went to tonbridge angel centre today with my class we did egg and spoon we did lots of activities there The activities were very good there I enjoyed each one of them I had a lovely time there today I think my classmates had a good time there as well I think I went there with Lisa biggs the one that used to be my teacher years ago She is with my class wilson on Friday's and Mondays The staff that work there are very kind lovely and very honest Your angel centre gets a 5 out of 5 star rating I sure I have been to your angel centre before I sure I have don't remember when I last went there This is was first time coming back to the angel centre in a while This is also my first review because when I did come last time I sure I did I didn't get to do you a review But I thought I would do you one today You can always have a look at it on Monday if you like Doesn't have to be today tomorrow or Sunday Enjoy reading your first google review

Fantastic experience: Nice to wander around

Negative experience: £19.30 for 1 badminton court and 2 rackets for 1 hour absolutely ridiculous price and businesses wonder why they go bust

Fantastic experience: The Angel Centre in Tonbridge is a great place. A reasonably priced centre to exercise. The gym is well equipped and so many other classes and activities on offer. There is something for everyone. I was told the other day that it might be closing - I do hope not as this would be a disaster.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and helpful staff. Value for money

Positive experience: Quick and helpful staff at the desk at any time the center is open. However, it must be said that the layout of the overall building is incredibly confusing and requires some getting used to. Though there is sufficient space for indoor sports such as volleyball and badminton, the walls on either side could have been pushed further back for extra space and its sometimes somewhat likely to hit a ball too far up into the balcony or the ceiling. I do quite like that the courts are separated by nets rather than hard walls as it does catch balls easier. Overall, great location and great halls. It only falls short with its architectural design.

Negative experience: Cheats you of your money

Fantastic experience: Great gym, has everything I need and not too busy.

Positive experience: I went their for the model railway show. All a bit disorganised. Was also quite disgusted that being Disabled I had to wait in a long queue with nowhere to sit down. Seems that the organisers had no provision for Disabled people !!

Positive experience: Solid choice for exercise. Range of classes and a fair gym with friendly helpful staff. Just remember a £1 for lockers here. Also, the water is chilled and heating just taking the edge off

Fantastic experience: Mainly use the angel centre for their gym. It's tidy, modern and kept to a high standard of cleanliness. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Lots of classes go on here for kids. My daughter is doing a gymnastics class which is great they have a gym here staff are friendly.

Positive experience: As a sports and recreation centre it's fine. It has quite a lot of classes on offer and the staff have always been very friendly. I recently went to the Centre to receive my Covid-19 vaccination and it was extremely clean and the whole team were extremely efficient. I feel that some of the look of the Centre is a bit dated and very drab in places, which is the only reason I'm not giving it a full five stars.

Positive experience: Not too bad for a local authority sports centre and venue hire complex. Some improvements/modernisation works have taken place but more investment needs to happen before I'd award 5 stars. Reasonable size car park facilities for the evening but you're in competition with Sainsbury's and the High Street shops during the day.

Fantastic experience: Visited to give blood, so didn't use any facilities. Have to pay to park which is annoying just to give blood.

Negative experience: Some facilities ok but very popular so could do with an upgrade

Positive experience: Good choice of classes and facilities are also good. If you are over a certain age there are classes designed more for you in mind but not as many as there were so be aware. Check and maybe talk with their team, some of whom are dedicated to the older age group.

Positive experience: good gym space and very reasonably priced

Negative experience: They hoover AROUND the equipment.

Negative experience: very old fashioned and the sports hall has odd lighting and floor is slippery- needs to be refurbished
