Positive experience: Nice recreational centre with lots to do, carpark is difficult to enter due to very narrow gap between posts

Negative experience: Receptionist - great. Pleasant, polite. Sauna / Steam - which is what I want for, absolutely appalling. Discombobulated to say the least. Like an after thought if any design team. Changing rooms next door to the sauna room. Dirty. Not enough bench space/ clothing hooks. Then you have to go outside of the changing area, to get to the lockers. You need a padlock. Reception will lend you one. So, into the sauna room itself. Again, grubby. A few plastic chairs pushed to the sides. A severe lack of ventilation in the restbite area. A little background music wouldn't go amiss. Then, it was back outside to the corridor - at the back of the squash courts and what looks to be yoga studio, in full view of course, forget any privacy, to the lockers to retrieve your kit. Then, back onto the change area - where I had to leave my items ON THE FLOOR - again, lack of bench space and clothing hooks, to go for a shower. Once again, grubby - with a mere trickle of a shower. How on EARTH can councils spend small fortunes doing up places like this, and completely MISS parts like this? It's disgusting.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, have only used for the fitness suite so can't comment in other facilities. However fitness suite is well equipped not the biggest space but so far does not appear to get that busy either.

Negative experience: Good facilities but can no longer use them as the car barrier width restriction does not allow me to enter.

Negative experience: People who work here are great, But they cancel swimming lessons on every other week and then put the prices up.

Positive experience: Decent gym with good equipment Really polite staff. Please fix your doors/scanners. And stop taping QR codes to passes. Just give people new passes.

Positive experience: I use this branch of Livewire only if my schedule has me passing the Woolston area, so not often. Orford Jubilee is a better Livewire site imo because it is more logically set out. When this Woolston hub was revamped in 2010 the Sauna & Steam rooms should have been situated on the wet side of the building next to the pool. As it is, if you have a swim but then fancy a Sauna or Steam afterwards, you have to walk through the main foyer to get over to the Sauna & Steam room. Again though, even when you get over there the set out of the Sauna & Steam room still isn’t logical. The S/S room should have been put BETWEEN the two male/female changing rooms & doors from both the male/female changing rooms should lead into the Sauna & Steam, like at Orford. As it is, you have to go back out into the corridor after using the steam room to get into the changing room! In the changing rooms, there isn’t even a sink in front of the changing room mirrors either. Woolston was refurbished to become a hub, why weren’t these things thought out properly & implemented at that time?

Fantastic experience: Great facilities and team that work here. I've been a member here for years and use the gym, squash courts and pool on a regular basis. The whole team is fantastic and great with our two young children, who do the swimming classes there. Particular mentions to Paul, Michelle, Luke and Leon, who are all so friendly and make the venue. Cannot speak highly enough of the team/facilities and it's great for the community/area.

Positive experience: Entering the car park can be a bit challenging. We go to swimming lessons, the staff is nice but the poolside and showering area, the toilets along with the upstairs area could do with an upgrade as it's outdated.

Fantastic experience: It was not the right post code for the Covid centre, but it was down the end of the road from the school Woolston Neighbourhood hub they were very helpful as to where it was, and all was well

Fantastic experience: This is a very nice swimming pool. On Thursdays it isn't too busy. Spacious dressing rooms. You have to cross reception to get to sauna and steam room.

Negative experience: I don't normally leave reviews good or bad but I had to write this as if I had read this review I would not have taken my son. The pool is OK, a little run down but temp is fine. Family changing rooms are absolutely filthy. Hadn't been cleaned in a long time and the smell was awful. Dirty floors, filthy baby change and dust all over the bins- clearly hadnt been wiped in days. Much nicer places around Warrington so avoid this. Poor standard of even minimal hygiene.

Negative experience: SAUNA/STEAM ROOM STEAM ROOM:clean, the temperature is well set, pleasant. SAUNA: ⛔Unbearable burning hot is inside!!!! the temperature is set incorrectly you can only stay inside with the door slightly open!!! So not health and safety. ❗❗ everyone complains about the heat in the steam room that burns their skin. it is also visible on wood paneling, it is also burnt black. Only healthy to use the Steam room.!!! ⛔In 2022 Hub they dont have coin swimming storage!!?? ‍♀️ you can only storages your things safely with padlock what you bring with yourself or a padlock what you buy it there. ⛔there is no separable shower with curtains. who might want wearing towel in the sauna/steam( and not in a plastic swim suit), it doesn't have a chance to take a cold shower you have to go out to the sauna and go into the changing room to take a hot shower!! ⛔there are no suspended clock for guests to check their stay time. Only things that make it not 5 stars is that there's no private showers for after a swim and the sauna and steam room are miles from the wet changing room. Negative experience: Ducklings session for youngest swimming learners. Water nice and warm, a lot swimming aids and toys available. Air con blowing freezing air in places, and absolutely freezing in showers by the pool. Family changing area with only two rooms available and no toilet there...

Positive experience: Came here on a Thursday morning for the Duckling session (couldn't make it to the Orford Hub during the week). Aqua aerobics was on which was extremely loud so it was strange to have a baby group on at the same time. Not so keen that the door from the main area to the family change area was kept open. Place seemed very dated, ceiling tiles missing in the family change area (only 2 cubicles). However, the baby seat as well as the changing unit was very handy. The person looking after the Ducklings class was very friendly and very helpful.
