Fantastic experience: Outstanding Hotel & Restaurant! Absolutely Recommended with superb views over The River Thames!

Negative experience: Lovely Location and nice clean rooms. The Breakfast in the morning was lovely too with warm friendly staff with a smile. However the night before the service was appauling! We were here for my husbands Corporate Annual Christmas Party with around 80 people from all over the world. We had been to the same venue last year with a lovely lady managing the event for the Swan who was friendly and flexible. This year was different not a single member of staff had a smile, if you asked a question the answer was no or I'll find out and no one came back. The food was awful too. They looked fed up and this created a hostile environment that was felt throughout the night. This came to a climax when one of the waiters tipped a tray of drinks over himself splashing one of my friends. We didn't say anything but he came back again shortly after to try and clear the table again after we had already said we were going to take the drinks to our rooms. He gave us a look of absolute disgust and said to my friends husband to get out! We complained to the Manager on the night but his attitude was much the same. He said they didn't have to be flexible and match the service of last year and that he wasn't going to ask the waiter to apologise for his rude manner and that he could apologise instead and it was that or leave it, oh and can you pay the bill now. So we said we will leave it and won't be back! That's 80 people many of whom stayed over and the cost of the event plus drinks tab who won't be back. So avoid for private events and go some where else where they provide service with a smile and know the meaning of customer service!

Positive experience: The room was great. Dinner was OK but nothing special

Negative experience: Went to the swan for our sons 21st birthday meal, food was very poor table service mediocre, have to say very disappointed overall and definitely would not return

Fantastic experience: Beautiful room, nicely furnished. Gym and sauna facilities available onsite. Good food in restaurant, friendly service. Village is very picturesque, lots of scenic walks available from the hotel. Ideal countryside retreat

Negative experience: Coppa is my local spot I’ve always come here and love it but it has to be said it’s lost its essence. Some of the staff are not switched on. Came for coffee which they forgot about then 30 mins later received warm coffee that had clearly been sat on forgotten about on the side - even when I complained they bought me a coffee not that hot and the coffee wasn’t good. Message to the owner/ manager - I would get a critique in to experience and feedback what is lacking as it’s not the same anymore. Positive note foods always been good :)

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely stay at the Swan at Streatley with my girlfriend. We booked the suite, and the room was huge and well-stocked with great amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a relaxing night. However, the soundproofing could be improved – we could hear footsteps, banging from the neighboring room, and workmen in the morning, which unfortunately woke us up. Overall, a nice experience but the noise was a bit disruptive.

Negative experience: Whilst the location by the river and a lovely village is great with a fantastic Indian restaurant, the hotel needs to improve. My key interactions were with staff from Europe so along with a strained conversation in English, there seemed to be a lack of service skills on reception, like being handed the room key and me having to ask where the room was?, where is breakfast served? and where the gym is? The expression implied I should have known. The room, although modern looking, was very small and uncomfortably hot. The large towel radiator in the small bathroom was very hot but even when turned off and the door kept shut, only dropped the room temp by a degree. It must be a known issue with this room as there was a large fan in the room. The bed was small, like a 3/4 rather than a double. The pillows were so soft they were useless. So not a very good night's sleep on either night. Skillet breakfast was ok, bacon was frazzled, but very expensive for what it was, not worth it - I wondered why it was quiet at breakfast! And watch out for the added 12% service charge onto breakfast, makes it feel like a total rip off.

Positive experience: My family and I visited in August for lunch. The setting is beautiful, and the service was very good. The menu had an excellent selection of choices, and I’d say that there is something for everyone. All the food and drink was fabulous apart from the fish and chips. Sadly the fish had not been fried for long enough and it was very pale. It also had the skin on still something that both people who ordered it, said it spoilt it. I had the sourdough pizza, and I have to say, it was wonderful! Oh, and the puddings are to die for!

Positive experience: The location is picture perfect , of the river & they have made the most of the setting with lots of room to eat and drink whilst enjoying the view . The rooms are also nice, but there is a smell from the drains; but I think it’s the whole area .. we were on first floor with balcony so able to leave the doors open & toilet seat down & it seemed to clear it . Food ; we found the starter/sharers to be good, & portions good , but the mains very poor quality and small quantities & was left hungry. So good for lunch maybe but I would not recommend for dinner . Beware they have order via the app & you have the privilege of waiting for 30 mins for a drink and then charged a service fee for the wait ! lol .. just got to the bar or order via a waitress . Very dog friendly , which was lovely & staff I found friendly & helpful too . If they improved the quality of the food , place would be very popular.

Fantastic experience: Just had coffee’s at the coffee shop and was served by the most friendly and professional baristas called “Lilly” and “Amelia “ they we so happy and we had our coffee and pastries before we could blink. What a dynamic duo. Martin n Kipper the dog

Positive experience: Great stay BUT!!! Stayed for 2 night’s amazing location , breakfast amazing , staff great, BUT I have 2 elderly disabled family members , instead of the staff saying there is a ramp behind reception, they watched them struggle for 2 days , when I arrived every single time we went too go for a drink , the staff had empty beer barrels , bins, bin bags that I had too move. This is a fire escape and is discussing in this day and age to make disabled people feel a burden . Why bother with disabled access when it clearly doesn’t matter too the staff and is degrading too the disabled people . After all collectively we paid £1300 for the stay

Positive experience: The positives: - The location and venue is incredible. Beautiful setting. - Lunch from the main menu was delicious. - The River view big room we stayed in was fantastic. The negatives: - Service was super patchy and clumsy throughout. - Breakfast was incredibly bad value for money; really average and not cheap at all. Overall, this is a lovely place, it just lacks a little refinement in the service department.

Positive experience: I had a good stay here as I was headed over the Ridgway National Trail. The room was very clean, however, the windows were limited in their opening and it was quite a hot day, though there was a standing fan in the room, which had a slightly loose base that I managed to tighten for them. My room had a fridge, which worked very well, and lovely big shower rose with quite a high powered shower. Streatley is lovely and the views of the river from the lower bar area were really good. Wasn't as expensive as I'd thought it could've been and the food I had was nice. Didn't have any breakfast as I was on the go early, there were plenty of facilities there that I didn't use and the whole place had a substantial footprint. About the only thing I felt was that it was a bit of shame that the renovations seemed to have removed everything old from the place which, in my opinion, often robs places like this of their character; but that's just an opinion. Staff were were really good and very attentive even when the place was busy.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely beautiful location, rooms very modern and spacious.

Negative experience: We went to eat lunch. I ordered the trout and was faced with the smallest slice on a bed of wilted spinach. For the price it was very small. I could not take and so ordered the chicken ceasar salad. A much better option and one that was hearty in size. The service was not great and the staff did not present themselves as they should. In a place like this they should be outspoken and clear. Not quite sure what happened. So why 2 stars. Did not use the rooms .

Fantastic experience: Thameside location which would be beautiful in the daytime, overlooking the river with uninterrupted views. We went for an evening meal, it's full of relaxing spaces to eat and drink and with a bar area.. Good live music as background on the thurs evening we visited. Menu is varied and good quality. We shared an ample sized nduja 'pizzetta' great tasty starter, followed by a share of two platters, a crudites with pittas hummus and beetroot, and then antipasti meats with a soft cheese and seeded bread. Crudites very fresh and crisp. Good variety of meats, bread moreish. All excellent. Could not fault any of it. Highly recommended. But let's be clear it's not a pub, more a wine bar/restaurant.

Positive experience: Only 4* because duvet too thick for the time of year and shower was of the over head rain shower type. Food was excellent and room spacious.

Negative experience: Dinner Terrible, Breakfast Superb. Hotel lovely. How can one place have such a different experience? Dinner was poor with ridiculously small portion sizes and met with a rude and obnoxious waiter who questioned everything and was particularly put out by only wanting to pay part of the discretionary service charge for poor service and poor overpriced food. Paid in full, left and went over the bridge to get a much more substantial meal at the local pub with much more polite staff. Breakfast was a completely different affair polite staff good portion sizes and good value for money. Rooms are excellent. Dinner service in dire need of improvement. Wont be returning.

Positive experience: Hadn't been for a while because after covid, the service was appalling. We went yesterday, and the problem is solved. Efficient friendly service, in a great location. Especially enjoy the courgette friies. Would be 5 star but they struggled to serve the coffee hot.

Positive experience: It's a wonderful location, overlooking the the rolling River Thames, it seems confused as to its name, Copa, or The White Swan, it entices you as it seductively spraws along the river bank. It has lots of parking, and lots of doors, a hotel, a coffee shop part, a bar, a restaurant and a splendid terrace, real fires add ambience. It's a lovely place, however, the service is not good, it's sloppy and slow, the place seems to lack professionalism, it's all style and no substance. Which is a great shame.

Negative experience: Stayed here for a business trip. Monday night my room has this loud pounding sound from disco like music starting from 9:30pm. The hotel front desk explained this is from a Xmas party from "the event space" and the music will stop at midnight. I don't know how it's acceptable to play loud dancing party music on a regular Monday?! Hotel response is no other room is available but we can give you ear plugs.... Would not stay here again.

Fantastic experience: We had an excellent stay at The Swan. The rooms were of the highest standard and the food in the Coppa Club is excellent. Staff were helpful with our slightly awkward check-in time. Worth the money.

Negative experience: My wife and I drove from Coventry to visit friends. As it was our wedding anniversary, our friends booked this place. The table wasn't ready on our arrival, so they rushed to clean one. The started was nice enough. Then the main turned up before the starters had been cleared away. My main, which should have been quite a simple dish was awful. The linguine was dry and very egg tasting (raw almost) and the prawns were way overdone. Possibly the worst meal I've tasted. I had one mouthful and returned it. It was awful. I was offered an alternative, but I declined as wasn't feeling it at this point. Such a shame, as the surroundings were so lovely. Never do I feel the need to leave negative reviews, but in this case felt I had to. So disappointed.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful hotel right on the river. The service was excellent and the rooms very nice. The river view is preferred but even the back view is nice. The breakfast is amazing as is the service at the restaurant. I recommend the poached eggs with smoked salmon. Great place for team meetings as well.

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely friendly pub amazing location and food

Positive experience: Disappointing service despite a wealth of staff. Having previously visited the restaurant and had a truly 5 star experience we thought it would be the perfect place to bring and impress visiting family. Perhaps it was just because they were busy, but despite a huge number of visible staff, service was slow to the point of feeling forgotten at times. If you’re going to spend £100 on 4 main courses you expect the service to go with that. 10 minutes after being seated we hadn’t placed a drinks order, and then we’re sitting with empty glasses halfway through the evening. This went unnoticed and at the end of our meal we had to flag down a waitress to get the bill. We found the service embarrassing and had to apologise to our family and explain things were better on our previous visit. On the plus side the food as before was excellent and the menu varied. We also really appreciate the decent selection of non-alcoholic drinks on offer, something other restaurants should note. The view over the river was truly picturesque, looking at times like an idyllic painting. We’d still recommend going, but perhaps avoid the weekends and book on a weekday.

Positive experience: I come here quite often. It is a relaxing place for a light lunch or afternoon. The food here is nicely prepared and very fresh.

Fantastic experience: An absolutely wonderful place to stay and unwind after a gruelling day of medical assessments in Reading. We had the most gorgeous 'River Suite' with the comfiest bed and beautiful bathroom with walk-in shower and roll-top bath. Two face-to-face couches, large TV and quirky, pink SMEG fridge as well as tasteful artwork on the wall. Double aspect with partial river views from one window. We could not fault anything in the room. My only criticism would be that I was overcharged £10 by Reception staff when I bought one of their hand and body washes that they had in the bathroom when we checked-out. I thought it would be a pleasant reminder of our stay! I guess it was just a genuine mistake but it was annoying that I had to call them and although they promised to rectify, there was no apology for this. However, I still give The Swan at Streatley 5-stars and thoroughly recommend *****

Negative experience: I booked a table for lunch on Sunday. For 3 of us, two adult and outgoing daughter, birthday meal for my wife. We love the swan and have been many many times, however the last two times have been disappointing. Firstly we arrived on time and we’re told to wait whilst they prepared our table, when we got to it 3 of were squeezed onto a bistro table! So they clearly hadn’t reserved us one! We waited 20 minutes, no one served us so we had to ask to order! Drinks finally arrived and were swiftly poured all over my wife! The girl gave us a couple of napkins and walked off! We cleared it up our selves, sourcing more napkins from other tables. Eventually a more senior staff member apologised and cleaned up properly! Ordered the burger pink, it turned up well done. We made the most of it and enjoyed the pudding.on the whole, a very Poor show though.

Negative experience: Poor food, poor service. Really disappointing lunch. Over priced - £20 for a so called large platter was a joke. Meals brought at the wrong time. Felt sorry for the waiting staff who tried hard but it was one mistake after another.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time at our son's wedding, unfortunately the weather was against us for taking photos outside, but the hotel staff were brilliant.

Fantastic experience: Really nice Sunday night stay. I mentioned that it was my Husbands birthday on the booking notes and they gave us an upgrade to a river facing room, which was a nice touch along with a birthday card. The room was spacious, clean and had a lovely bathroom with a good range of complimentary toiletries. We didn't eat at the restaurant that night but had breakfast the following morning. Attentive staff and lovely breakfast. My Husband enjoyed the full English and I recommend the salmon, poached eggs and Avocado. We will be back - thank you for a lovely stay!

Negative experience: So disappointed, idyllic location, looked great at night really looked forward to it and it did not live up to the hype. We were stood at front of house waiting to be seated for over 10 minutes before someone came over and asked about our booking, we had booked but our table wasn't ready so we went to the bar, after queing for a drink we went back to front of house to wait for another 10 minutes for someone to seat us, once seated it was a further 15 minutes before being asked if we would like a drink and take our order, we ordered starters and finished them before our drinks came out, not once was we asked if anything was OK. We waited even longer for our mains and couldn't bring ourselves to entertain trying to order a desert, we tried to pay on the app because of how long it took the table next to us to get their bill and that didn't work either, it still had the last parties bill on there. King prawn linguine had 1 King prawn and a few tiny crayfish. It was tasty but small, staff were unprofessional/untrained. Twice the waitress tried to give us someone elses food. Front of house was terrible(camp guy, earings), having to much fun with staff rather than looking at the que that was gathering. Off duty staff were lary and hanging round the bar being rude and obnoxious. All in all just rubbish service for the price, location and potential. Could be so much better. Negative experience: AWFUL FOOD. Disorganised and chaotic kitchen and dinner/breakfast and lunch service. Lovely comfortable rooms and friendly serving staff (although not enough of them). However the food is awful! I was there with my family for my fathers 90th. We had dinner lunch and breakfast. Every occasion was a disaster: Cold but overcooked food, cold coffees, warm champagne, expensive overcooked rib of beef as just an example when ordered rare and hotdog sweet mustard instead of English or Dijon. The kitchen is open and in there you can see them laughing, mucking around, texting or drinking tea (I expect theres was hot unlike ours). The kitchen is a disgrace and needs re-organisation and new management.Out of 30-40 meals in our party pretty much everything apart from salads and uncooked food was utterly awful. Pre cooked and cold, over cooked, dry, arriving at different intervals or unavailable As just one example our fries as accompaniments arrived 10-15 minutes after the main meals were served so people had finished their overcooked steaks before the fries arrived. The serving staff were lovely but too few to provide great service. The location and rooms are lovely but the food, utterly SHAMEFUL and very expensive. Note to below. E-mailed the GM as requested and no reply! Says it all really.

Fantastic experience: Amazing two nights away at the Swan. It's a gorgeous hotel. The little cafe was wonderful to sit and read while having a coffee. Walking around the grounds is sublime. We put a bottle of wine in the fridge in our room and had it down by the waters edge. This was a highlight. Taking a walk through Goring was also really special. Lots of little stores and history to explore. The rooms were great. Only improvement would be to have some thicker pillows available. The gym, sauna and steam room were 5 star. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: The location is spectacular. Food is good too. The staff are fantastic- really passionate about what they do and genuinely care but sadly there simply aren’t enough of them employed so it’s really difficult for them to deliver a great experience. There are often long waits for service as the few staff on duty are busy elsewhere. You have a great team, Coppa Club, so I would invest in them by getting them more support. You’ll get more repeat business as a result…

Fantastic experience: We have just stayed at the Swan with friends for New Year and were all really impressed. Our rooms were great with everything you need, we even received a lovely gift on arrival, a real surprise. Dinner last night in the Coppa Club restaurant was excellent and breakfast this morning was very nice. We found all the staff to be efficient and friendly. Thank you for a really enjoyable stay, we will definitely be back again soon.

Negative experience: Took my wife for breakfast this morning. The service was good. We ordered a skillet and garden breakfast. It arrived and unfortunately my breakfast was cold. I politely told the lady serving us and she took it back to the kitchen. I don't like returning food and found myself apologising for some reason. Anyway my wife finished her meal and after about 30 mins without my food arriving I asked for the bill. This originally still had my food on it. This was removed and I paid the remaining bill. Just not good enough.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here to attend a charity dinner. We have been to many such events at other locations and whilst the hotels have been good, the food has been mediocre at best. Not the case here! The food was prepared with care, panache and tasty blooming lovely…oh, and it was very hot as well! The staff were just lovely, the room was impeccably clean and just beautifully furnished. Everything from the kettle to the bed, from the tv to the shower was of the highest quality and nothing was left to low budget! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, my only disappointment was it didn’t last long enough!

Negative experience: I came for lunch with friends on 13th November and it was amazing great setting the food was really good I chose the fish cake and it was delicious plus the cheesecake for dessert . I raved about it to a friend who needed cheering up so suggested we go there Sunday 20th It was so disappointing I chose the fish cake again served so differently from the week before two smaller ones arrived that tasted slightly burnt on cold salty kale My friend chose the chicken and said it was okish, the dessert menu had changed no cheesecake!!!!, the choice was stodgy puddings apart from ice cream and crème brûlée which isn’t what everyone wants.The waiter was attentive and friendly but service slow not like the weekend before I thought I would be making the Swan a place to go and recommend to friends but sadly I won’t be returning

Negative experience: I have tried to contact The Swan by phone and registered letter to no avail. My telephone number, email have been left but no reply. I slipped on a slippery step in Coppa Club on 1st October and sustained a broken left leg in three places and a badly sprained right ankle. The only help was that the staff on duty rang for an ambulance after being requested to do so by a member of my family. This has resulted in me having to have an operation to pin ankle etc. The staff paid no attention after the initial fall and left us to our own devices. I had to be carried out to my daughter’s car and was assisted by my grandson and an off duty member of staff. My granddaughter visited the next day to be told they had no idea what she was talking about. She left my details with a promise someone would contact me. No response neither to my letter sent by registered post. I telephoned today and , once again, was promised a response - no response.

Positive experience: Better pillows, wedding music went on way too late, more vegan options would be nice. Can't eat burgers and pizza every night.

Fantastic experience: 60th birthday lunch 29/08/22 Went to the swan/ Coppa club to book a meal for my 60th . The Coppa club could only offer us a table for 2 hours. So walked to the hotel side the swan luckily Mollie ( events manager) was working that day she showed us around all the meeting rooms & suggested the Kingfisher room for my lunch lovely views out to the river & gardens so booked it . Mollie sent all paperwork & organised the food & drinks I wanted kept in touch or was just an email away. On the day arrived to find room was layed out how I wanted it. Met William the young bartender who was very professional polite & helpfully. Then met Evita (the events manager) who was very helpful as well as being professional & friendly put us at ease & made us feel welcomed & special The day went as planed food came out hot & well-presented we didn't feel rushed at any time had plenty of time between courses. Everyone commented on how nice it was. We stayed at the hotel for the night think we got the best room lovely views of the river. William & Evita should be very proud of themselves & the hotel should be too. A very BIG THANK you to all others who were involved with my day. I would recommend the hotel for any kind of function plus for 3 courses & drinks very happy with the cost

Positive experience: Overall a nice hotel. Lovely large dog friendly rooms, beautiful grounds and ok food. However, they really need to train some of their team better. Turned up at 7.28am and asked for a take away coffee but was told they don't open until 7.30am for breakfast so nobody could help me. When I asked if I could wait 2 minutes I was sent to the bar in the restaurant area. I asked the guy standing around there for a take away coffee and he said he could help but not right then and just walked off. I complained at reception where the guy told me he didn't know what to say. And then told me to order a drink at the bar by reception. The girl there told me the tills weren't on so she couldn't make me a coffee either. I told her I was staying at the hotel so to put it on my room or I'd pay when I got back from my walk but that's also too much for the staff as she said she needed payment before she could make me anything. Poor customer service like this just doesn't leave a guest leaving with that warm fuzzy feeling.

Positive experience: Lovely location. Room service a bit lacking- came back from a day out and the room had not been cleaned. We had to ask for everything- fresh towels, tea and biscuits etc. Menu in the evening did not inspire....needs more vegetables. The cauliflower steak sounded good, but was not available. Some staff spent more time chatt than looking out for cust needs

Fantastic experience: Lovely setting, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. Had meals in the Coppa Restaurant which were excellent, staff very friendly whilst maintaining their professionalism. Just one slight improvement we thought could have been offered. We visited during the recent heatwave, it would have been really useful to have mobile aircon units which could have been offered, even for a supplementary payment, this would have made our visit much more comfortable.

Positive experience: Beautiful location with stunning views of the River. Room extremely small and could not swing a round in it. Food not great and the service worse, slow and grumpy.

Negative experience: The venues beauty I cannot fault , the food I cannot fault . Great place to stay for a night but for weddings I thought we’d picked the best one . Everything was fine leading up to the wedding day, However when it changed hands to another person , I was so disappointed, if you are wanting to get married here. DONT only if you are keeping a low key small wedding , we booked the venue till Midnight , was disappointed my DJ was being kicked out before Midnight and told my DJ he had to turn the music down due to noise complaint ( not being funny it’s for wedding bookings too, expect noise) This I was clear that my family like to party and I was told it’s not a problem and if the bar is making profit from the evening they’d open up the other bar after midnight which didn’t happen. Also evening food was late and was a waste of money as nobody was told it was even there. There’s so such I was told and had paid for that didn’t follow through on. Hugely disappointed and for the money you pay it’s not up to the books. Mollie prater : cannot fault her if it was just her running the day and not Evita I’m sure this wouldn’t all happened . Just advice for people getting married ask all the questions and make sure the keep promises they make for your wedding day As I said not all bad. food was wonderful , rooms and venue is just beautiful. But not worth the money unfortunately for a wedding.

Positive experience: I attended my nieces wedding yesterday, the location was lovely and the staff were attentive my disappointment came when the food was presented, totally lack of skill by the chef. The ingredients were good but who wants to eat just a ball of mozzarella cheese, how about some fresh baby tomatoes, basil or something to add a flavour to something so light. We all just looked at each other and we’re disappointed and then came the chicken, despite the drizzle of gravy it was so very dry, long stemmed broccoli and cabbage, new potatoes. It was just executed badly. Looking forward to desert which again was overwhelmingly bad, burnt chocolate pudding with a scoop of ice cream. I suppose it doesn’t help as I’ve worked in a hotel myself and seen food done right, this was just bad. Try dressing the plate with a sauce, layer the plate, a sprinkle if icing sugar finishing with a sprig or fruit. We went to the coffee bar and the coffee must of been a single bean in the whole pot why not bring tea and coffee around the room after desert or a least announce coffee and tea were available. Great venue bad food. My daughter checked into her room which had been booked for 8 months as she was a bridesmaid and wanted to stay in a nice room, they knew exactly which room they had as it was discussed the week before. They walked in and to their surprise a couple were in bed, they apologised to the couple and went back to reception to complain. They were offered a smaller room, no balcony and no river view just a pitched roof it was just not suitable for the same price, a 20% deduction for their inconvenience was offered after my daughter mentioned compensation but my daughter was so disappointed in the room they decided not to stay. Apparently they sold it as a last minute booking the ladies in reception could offer any more information on how this happened as the lady who takes the bookings works from home I did feel bad for the couple they walked in on

Positive experience: Great spot. Here for a conference and mostly excellent. Just slightly disappointed that lunch was a plate on your lap. Food was excellent though.

Fantastic experience: I stayed here a few months ago, and had the most amazing experience. The food and drinks are amazing. Popped in on the way past the other day for a drink as the sun was out, you definitely can’t beat a cocktail in the garden by the river here.

Fantastic experience: As a wedding venue, the Swan at Streatley is superb with its backdrop of the Thames and ideal internal layout for a full day and evening function. We had the most incredible event, and the Swan and Coppa Club team could not have done more to ensure our special day went smoothly. After some early days hiccups with the planning leading to a crisis meeting with the new management, Michal, Evita, Lewis and Samuel really came to the table, and we could not have asked for more. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, including the delicious wedding breakfast, thanks in no small part to their hard work. I have no hesitation in recommending the Swan 100%.

Positive experience: Rooms are light and bed is comfy. Worth getting a river view. Service is fine but the standard on food is patchy. Dinner was very good. Had a bad breakfast- cold food, toast not toasted etc - and manager was incredibly defensive. Almost aggressively so. As its included, we obviously weren’t trying to get something for free, just give what we hoped would be constructive feedback to the kitchen.

Fantastic experience: Lovely dog friendly hotel which has a relaxed feel about it. Go for a river view room. Only minor gripe is that the bar has a limited selection of draft beer. Perfect location for walks along the Thames or boating with its own moorings

Fantastic experience: Happy to give a new 5 star review as the cafe by the gym/car park entrance has transformed itself back into a lovely place to meet up with friends and sit by the river when the sun shines or by the fire as we go into winter.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful location and buzzy hotel with great bar and restaurant. We had a fab weekend at The Swan and spent time in the Coppa Club, that’s on-site too. Plenty of great walks and lovely things to do on the doorstep, then back to the hotel for a glass of rosé by the water. Perfect!

Positive experience: Room was ridiculously hot but the room itself was lovely and very comfy (apart from the heat!) Lovely staff in the bar and avery welcoming lady in the breakfast room.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant stay. We moved rooms halfway to have a downstairs river room but actually would have stayed in the upstairs balcony one in hindsight. Could have done with a plug socket near a mirror in the downstairs room as it was hard to use a hairdryer. Food was amazing and the hotel was beautiful.

Negative experience: A lovely location and food menu. While the food looked/tasted good quality. if you are being served by the waterfront the food comes out in cardboard packaging and plastic cutlery. A real waste of packaging when it can be served on a plate and tray, then placed back when you depart. Trying to eat with plastic cutlery with food clearly is made for metal is really silly. A solution they though of for ease of the kitchen but really not practical or eco friendly.

Positive experience: Meal was good but smoothie not fresh, served in a plastic bottle without even bothering to open the lid! Great location hence 3 stars but otherwise a bit average

Positive experience: Lovely place. Rooms are warm, cosy and didn't hear any noise from the neighbouring rooms, just what I needed for one night of proper sleep. Staff is well polite as you'd imagine.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at The Swan earlier this week, the room and hotel were lovely. It was amazing to have a little reading space with such a beautiful view. The food and drinks at The Coppa Club were amazing. We will definitely be returning. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly and made our stay really relaxing.
