Vital Health & Wellbeing at Macdonald Inchyra Hotel and Spa

Positive experience: We booked through spa resort so while booking we were not shown the timing of the massage that was included in package so we assumed we can use that facility whenever we need but looks like we have allocated timing so if you r first timer look out for that. Regarding massage experience its just mere applying product and wiping off..no pressure points applied,so it was total disappointment for me. So if you are looking for massage with pressure points this is NOT the one for you.

Fantastic experience: I loved this. Went with my daughter for a spa day and afternoon tea. Cannot fault it. The staff were super friendly and the treatments were superb. The afternoon tea was just incredible

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed a spa day followed by dinner. The spa is really lovely, staff are friendly and attentive and the facilities are excellent. Especially loved the heated beds. Food was delicious.

Fantastic experience: I've only been there once, but everything is clean and tidy. The pool is amazing, and so is the steam room. I can't wait to go back.

Negative experience: Warning to potential new members at the Vital Health & Wellbeing Leisure Club at Inchyra Hotel & Spa. As a current paying member of the club, I am currently going through an unfortunate experience with the Inchyra Leisure Club, and I believe it's important to share my concerns to warn potential members. My interactions with the manager have brought to light several issues that may impact other potential future members: • Unfair Contract Terms: As a member of the club, you will be typically locked in to a 12-month fixed contract. If any member faces illness, financial difficulties or unforeseen changes in circumstances, etc. Then you will typically be met with you are ‘under contract’. The contract terms seem unbalanced and unfair, granting the club extensive powers to modify or terminate agreements without offering any recourse for members to do the same. • Unilateral Membership Fee Increases: The club can increase membership fees with a 30-day notice at any point. Members are left without any means to dispute these increases, even when facing financial strain. • Inadequate Support for Pregnant Members: After asking management a few times to confirm whether members of staff/instructors at the club are appropriately trained in pre/post-natal qualifications to provide support and training to members during pregnancy, I have never received a response to this query. If a club this size, operated by MacDonalds Hotels and Spas, doesn’t ensure that every leisure club has a staff member/instructor appropriately pre/post-natal qualified to support members during this crucial time, then this is a major failing. • Excessive Notice Period for Cancellation: Members require a three-month notice period to cancel the membership, which is unreasonably lengthy for a gym contract. Overall, the club facilities are fine but look tired in places (Mouldy shower cubicles, Broken Lockers, Cold pool, and Steam/Sauna rooms closed regularly for maintenance) The staff are generally helpful and friendly when I have used the facilities. These issues collectively contribute to a negative overall experience and reflect a lack of consumer-friendly practices by the club’s management. I hope this information assists individuals in making informed decisions, enabling them to avoid getting stuck within a 12-month contract should they encounter unforeseen issues throughout their membership.

Fantastic experience: An incredible experience and great value for money if you get the spa package. The pool was nicely heated, and the accompanying saunas were great. Locker rooms had plenty of space and empty lockers. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Positive experience: Nice place ,but the spa was not up to what I expected .....pool was cold , and treatment was not what I asked for !!! .but the staff was nice and friendly

Positive experience: The bedrooms extremely hot. No air conditioning. Asked for a fan and was supplied one. Cooled down a little bit a good night's sleep was impacted.

Negative experience: Floor wet in changing room. No A frames advising of this. Aqua aerobics class just out. I fell badly on 12th June and required ambulance. The floor is regularly wet and no staff around to monitor or clear up excessive water. Additionally at least 2 showers been out of order for months. Been in agony since fall and only q phone call asking how I am, finishing off with comment "Hope she'll be back!

Positive experience: Decent spa, gym and pool. Can get very busy at times so pick you times wisely. Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I love the gym and swimming pool and the staff are friendly and helpful. They provide towels and Elemis shower gel and body lotion. Well worth the membership.

Positive experience: Impossible to get through on their phone number. Clearly not fussed for business. Basic maintenance not carried out. Tape to fix wood in sauna, experience shower just hot and cold water, shower out of use in men's area for at least 5 mths. Gym is good and spa area nice on the rare occasion its not swarming with Spa quests.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic facilities, friendly helpful staff and spotlessly clean. Child free times which allows some peaceful times.

Negative experience: Pool is open but criss crossed with ropes so it's impossible to do any proper swimming, of course they don't tell you that until your in the water.

Fantastic experience: I have the opportunity to be a free member for nearly 3 weeks and this place is amazing as a free treat or for cheap. Within the gym there are plenty machines and plenty weight between fixed weights and free weights and whenever I was in (over the Christmas period) there were never issues getting access or using the resources. The pool and thermal area have also been easy to access, few issues getting a bed alot of towels and no apparent owners and not many staff around but those that were there were very helpful and friendly. Overall I would love to be a full member but at the monthly price I would not be able to use it based on my work schedule and this is upsetting.

Fantastic experience: We acquired a free day pass to all the fisilites and was shocked how thing have gone downhill. We entered the spa only to be trapped inside the steam room. Which was poor not very hot. Sauna was not that great ether Pool was so cold and was unbearable so we left after 1 hour. Giving 5 star because it was free and never payed anything.

Positive experience: Nice gym and leisure facility's. Starting to look a bit tired now and could really do with a step up in the maintenance and cleaning dept, I wouldn't go in the showers or sauna with out something on my feet!
