Positive experience: Good clean pool, with a few oddities: 1. You cannot just turn up and swim. You must check their swimming timetable. 2. You may only enter the pool for a single timeslot. This means if there is "leisure swimming" followed by "lane swimming", you must choose which you want. The pool is emptied of customers inbetween, you cannot stay in the pool. This is poorly communicated on the timetable. 3. The "lane swimming" slot has a single lane, and two double-width lanes on either side. If you are swimming lengths to a time (or use a smart watch), this means you can only use the single lane! If you use the double-width lanes your times and distances will be wrong (the locals expect everyone to swim square laps using the entire width of both lanes).

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of this gym for years. The staff there are all friendly and very helpful. Plenty of equipment and it’s clean there. I generally go to the gym late mornings/ midday to avoid the busy times, as I don’t really want to wait around to use things.

Fantastic experience: Much to my surprise I love my visits to the gym!. The staff are just great and extremely helpful and everywhere is kept clean. Some of the easy chairs look decrepit and could do with recovering but on the whole it is very good facility to have in Sandown.

Positive experience: Nice gym, friendly staff but they really do need to be reinforcing the cleaning down after use of machines. The amount of scabby people not doing it should be noticed.

Negative experience: Our child started lessons there in the beginning of September(!!!), it's now middle of January and they are still on Level 1. Either the quality of the teaching is very, very bad, or they intentionally delay them in lower levels, so we pay more money for lessons. We have to pay for the next 10 lessons in 2 weeks, and I'm not sure I want to continue the lessons with them, I've already paid £142 for the lessons so far for Level 1, do they want another £70 before they transfer them to Level 2???

Fantastic experience: I can only comment on reception service, swimming lessons and changing rooms. My son attended swimming lessons here and the team behind reception were amazingly helpful and friendly and had a happy vibe about themselves. My son loves his swimming lessons and I was impressed with the size of groups, number of instructors to each group and also that the younger kids go into a separate, shallow pool. Changing rooms are clean, good size and had warm showers available as well as lockers. Waiting area for parents watching their kids during lessons was large, well lit and has a large glass wall so you get to see your kids in action while staying dry.

Positive experience: Would rather do 4.5 stars if I could. Can get a bit busy, and it's quite pricey (not sure if that's an industry thing though.) But it's clean, and all the facilities are there that you'd need. The staff are helpful, which is always a nice bonus and the they'll even set up a training program if you wanted one.

Negative experience: Not proper family changing room not suitable for 6 months or baby needs to lay down one family changing area has bad with no curtains and other had wheelchair it is awkward to move around and the bench is way to small to sit or lay baby down. The pool in baby pool is good for youngsters only down side is the floor of the pool is too slippery couldn’t get a grip with foot the flooring needs a grip if you need good baby pool and good family changing area go the medina in Newport it’s very good

Positive experience: No family changing facilities. Lockers need £1 (or trolley token) and the hairdryers need 20p. We found the ambient temperature around the pool to be cool. The changing rooms could have been cleaner.

Fantastic experience: Since my last review of the heights it has changed on the gym side of things quite drastically. They have removed the Pec Dec & Chest supported wide row machines. And since been replaced by an extra lat pulldown, preacher curl/tricep extension, squat and glute machines. This was a great decision as all machines are far superior to there priors. If you are new to the gym or an older person this gym is PERFECT for you and even if you are quite experienced it's still better due to it's health suite and swimming facilities included in the price of as little as £33 a month. I personally won't be using any other gym now as this is catered almost perfectly for anyone. What they lacked in leg machines they have now supplemented perfectly leaving just a chest fly, and lat row machine being the only things left before I could say this gym is PERFECT with no improvement to be made. That being said I still firmly believe the heights the gym is the best value, quality and useful gym facility on the island 4.9/5

Fantastic experience: Its a great facility, easy parking, clean, well maintained, staff always friendly and helpful, great gym‍♂️, loads of equipment, the only health suite on the island. Changing rooms are nice and big, private areas.

Positive experience: It's my local swimming and gym. My 4 year old loves it here swimming, staff friendly and the place is great. Only thing I will say is there use to be a cafe where the sitting area is before you go to the gym....it's a shame that would be great if it was still there

Negative experience: I go for the health suite. Trouble is it's a lottery if its all functioning. You never know if the steam room is working or the hot tub. When either of them is out they could be out for weeks and it's usually a part that's coming from some obscure region in China. To top that you get some really ignorant people use the health suite. Some don't grasp the basics of hygiene, like have a shower before getting in the hot tub after getting out of the sweaty sauna. Others are selfish and will hog the hot tub for up to an hour knowing others are waiting to use it- It only seats four in comfort. I used to have a membership but now only use it once a month or so.

Positive experience: Please please please turn on the heating!! Kids having convulsions, shivering and crying because it's soo ridiculously cold. Changing rooms are even colder than the artic with an icy gale blowing through. Would not recommend until the summer arrives

Negative experience: The floor in both studios is not cleaned. The radiators need cleaning, you can see debris in some of them, imagine the state of the filters! you are breathing in deeply in every lesson. Lessons are lovely though.

Negative experience: The only way to book for family swim sessions is to call but the phones never get answered or to go in and book. I wish that information was on the website! Great facilities once we were there but awful to book and really busy going in and out.

Positive experience: Lovely pools with plenty of sunshine coming in the big windows as you enjoy your swim.Havent tried the gym room but you can see into it as you swim in the main pool. Receptionist and pool staff all very pleasant and obliging. The ladies changing room/ showers desperately need a deep clean other than that I would give 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Popped in here for a swim on a rainy day on our holiday. A really great pool and would recommend! Reasonable price on a family ticket and clean and bright changing rooms. Lockers are operated by a returnable coin and the showers were bliss! A sizeable toddler pool was a good size and the main pool warm and not too busy.

Positive experience: I'd rate this place a 5 if it wasn't for the fact that the health suite always seems to have problems with it's Jacuzzi, and as such it's never available. Huge gym with great facilities, fantastic pool and a ton of classes available. Doesn't really get any better here on the island!

Negative experience: My wife and daughter went today to the pool and it was was full of hair and didn't seem clean as a result my daughter has now come home with diarrhea and sickness. She has been perfectly fine until now and hasn't been in contact with anyone else with any form of illness. My wife has also come back not feeling great.

Negative experience: Went there to be told we had to wait 30 minutes for a less than 45 minute swim, if you're going to change it to sessions atleast update the website to let your customers know. Thoroughly dissapointed. Edit- The staff were also quite rude and impatient.

Negative experience: This Place has gone Downhill Substantially Since i joined 2017.The New Gym is very good.However aside from a small handfull of Instructors the Customer Service is Woefull in the Gym.It is a Novelty to even get a Good Afternoon said to you or even a discussion about your Work Out Programme.Duty Managers clearly care little about this. There are Children running round the Gym(often unsupervised) pulling weights incorrectly. As to the Cleanliness of the Mens Changing Rooms and Relaxation Spa areas then a visit from the Health&Hygeine is urgently needed.Both areas are filthly and in need of deep steam cleans.The Steam room is filthy and smells.The changing and toilet areas regularly dirty(especially weekends). It is a Wonder that Members are not catching diseases. The Jacuzzi has been broken since January 2019 and still not fixed or replaced with Staff unable to give basic updates? They are still deducting monthly monies for it. The Pool area and front Desk Reception staff are mainly fine. I would hope on these issues of concern that Senior Management sort Matters.

Positive experience: 25m Large Main Pool which is ideal as one is not restricted to lane swimming only.

Fantastic experience: They've got small and big pool, studios and gym. Prices aren't to big and loads of classes to chose from. My kiddies enjoy their swimming lessons, while I can sit down, read magazine and drink coffee.

Positive experience: Unfortunately very average. I used to love the heights but unfortunately I think it's declined over the last 10-20 years or so. Hopefully the gym upgrade will give it a much needed boost.

Positive experience: Be sure to save money by doing a group swim for £10, adding on any extra people. We linked up with some strangers in the queue to save money as there was less of us this night. It's got to be done. The worse they can say is no!(N.B The price has now gone up to £10.50 for a group of 4 but you can add people including adults on for just £2.30 which is still cheap)
