Negative experience: Never answer the phone!

Positive experience: Nice little cafe, cheap and very tasty Sausage and Egg Sandwich with Brown Sauce... yummy.

Positive experience: Excellent place for swimming lessons, my daughter loves them. Attentive teachers and she has a lot of fun. Avoid the cafe for food, I purchased a chocolate tiffin and took a bite. I was met with an overwhelming taste of bitter and sour! It must be several weeks (perhaps even months) old to taste that terrible and strong. It's a shame because the lady running the cafe is lovely, but I don't think food hygiene is a factor here, which is more important in my opinion. I won't order any food from here again.

Negative experience: Can't say a lot about this place as I only popped in to use the loo while waiting for a bus! The staff were extremely pleasant and the facilities were clean and tidy.

Fantastic experience: I only use the changing facilities, baby pool and café, but I have really enjoyed the experience. The reception staff are friendly and always have a smile for my toddler. The changing rooms are so convenient for little ones, with big changing tables and some have high chairs in them too. The pool is warm enough, clean and bright and usually not too busy for the Sunday morning baby swim. I only wish this session had more appropriate music. Some quieter, more baby-friendly music would be less overly stimulating for babies and toddlers at this session. The café is lovely. Nice to be able to watch your little one swim with a good coffee when you're not swimming yourself!

Negative experience: So I was planning to take a students membership 2 months before ie on 28th June. I filled out all my details for direct debit and all my card details, at the end after everything, the next page said 'payment failed due to time out' smth like that and I thought ok the card details might not have been saved so I'll start the whole procedure again but money was taken from my bank account. I called the office and they said they'll see what's happening and call me back but they never did so I went there are asked and they said it shows I'm a member but I haven't paid so I showed them all the bills and stuffs and they did smth and got me in. The gym lacked equipments but the changing rooms were fine.

Negative experience: Went to the reception today as I was unable to get all my questions answered online. I was interested in joining for 12 months using the excellent blue light card discounts. The female receptionist was not keen to help and said I could access everything once I’d joined. I wanted the info prior to a 12 month commitment to ensure it was the right place for me. I felt she wanted me to sort it all online and not bother her which left me feeling less enthusiastic. It wasn’t overly busy and no queues. I witnessed a male receptionist at the other desk behaving in a friendly and pleasant manner so maybe there’s hope. A smile and a kind word go a long way!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Jubilee 2 for nearly 12 years. Over the years my exercise and fitness levels have changed. Thankfully Jubilee 2 frequently update their available programs and equipment. I now mainly do pool based exercise aqua fit , good boost and thoroughly enjoy both. I can’t leave a review without mentioning the instructors and staff. My aqua fit instructors are Nicky H and Ruth they are both brilliant not only do they give me a “thorough” workout but they make it fun too. So thanks to both ladies. The desk staff always pleasant, polite, welcoming, hi Julie. Lucy “de management “ lovely lady, John pool staff always pleasant. Cleanliness is important and Jubilee is definitely very clean. Today 24/7/2024 I noticed the ladies near to pool were exceptionally clean, in fact spotless, smelt lovely….. after asking around I discovered this was down to Maisie . Big shout out Maisie your a little . If I haven’t mentioned you by name apologies. Rest assured you are still held in high regard. I’m so grateful to have Jubilee 2 on my doorstep cos without the available facilities you offer I’d not be a healthy (sometimes happy ) 74 year old. Thank you everyone

Positive experience: It's a lovely pool but lane swimming was a little chaotic today on the 12-1 slot. They are now on their 'holiday' schedule and this is the only time available. Very busy and no directional swimming in the 'slow' lane as there usually is so people were swimming all over the place! What's wrong with keeping it clockwise?

Fantastic experience: Having recently left typical corporate type gym in Newcastle under Lyme, made a refreshing change to go here. Small - yes; pick your times to attend - yes (avoid 1530Hrs - kids from school in). However, very clean, tidy, hygienic (cleaning materials provided), well policed by professional, pro-active staff who ensure machines are clean and weights areas tidy - always willing to give advice, help and / or encouragement as required. If you’re sick of teenager filled TikToker gyms, are a little older / mature, then probably this is the best place for you.

Fantastic experience: I go to aqua aerobics 3x a week and I love it. I also use the wellness hub to help with my mobility

Fantastic experience: A well fitted gym with supportive staff if you need help with using the equipment.

Positive experience: Brilliant staff but the water is so salty and oily had to remind my children not to open mouths or swallow water . Needs cleaning out refreshing of the water and a good scrubbing on the base of pool Feels slimy and gritty in the little pools floor.

Positive experience: Changing rooms were Warm and clean.. As was the pool.. Staff are always ready to help

Fantastic experience: I really dislike public baths but my two kids love swimming, Jubilee2 is as clean as you'll get and the staff are friendly. My 4yo loves the Saturday afternoon family swim

Negative experience: For the price facilities are poor. I also couldn't park as there was no spaces.

Fantastic experience: We go swimming most sundays. Wonderful place for a family outing. Maybe the water needs to be warmer, though, during the cold weather

Negative experience: So many bad faults with this place. Classes out of core hours are very limited. If they do have a class out of work hours they will likely to be cancelled. They don't treat members very well so I can only imagine how they treat their own, probably why there is such a high turnaround of staff. Carpark and the carpark system is absolutely ridiculous. Everyday people fighting for a spot, if you cannot get a spot and miss your class you get penalised for it. Car park attendants place penalities on the cars as you go into to get your printed pass. The whole parking experience is a nightmare and a complete waste of time which puts you off completely. No idea why they cannot just produce a badge we can stick in our window with a monthly expiry? It would at least solve one of the many problems. Customer service is poor. Not all, but the majority of the staff are rude , unsympathetic and unhelpful. Whomever deals with the email enquiries needs a course on customer engagement. They don't take confidentiality seriously. Any feedback or comments are NOT in confidence. So much so many former members left due to feeling uncomfortable after leaving feedback and it coming back on them. I used to love this gym many years ago, it's been run right down into the ground.

Positive experience: Great gym and very friendly exercise instructors. I might start going here more regularly and switch from JD to this place. I just payed for a one off class. Its seems like a good gym to me.

Fantastic experience: Good size pool ideal for teaching kids to swim. Very reasonable prices. The kids love it.

Negative experience: I would not recommend anyone go in the cafe it took 15-minutes for them to make a mug of tea and a mug of coffee had a breakfast which was cold tables and floor had not been cleaned staff walking in and out the kitchen playing with their hair because no one was wearing anything to cover their hair

Negative experience: Really difficult to get hold of the gym as when you call you have to go through Newcastle council! Such a strange system.

Negative experience: Great & very much needed leisure facilities unfortunately let down by the uncleanliness of the changing & shower facilities. There was dirt & marks on every changing cubical that I attempted to change in on the walls & doors No litter so obviously been swept over and classed as cleaned The shower cubicles even worse they had slime , grime & hairs including pubic on nearly every wall time. & floor. This is old grime and slime & no excuse for it all. The cleaning products leisure facilities use work nicely for this. I have worked in sports & leisure for 12 years & I am aware how dirty things can get quickly I am also aware of when things haven’t been cleaned in a long time it was really disgusting It was very good to see it being so well used by families it was extremely busy for a Sunday morning. Please don’t let the community down by hygiene & cleanliness. When I reported this to the male member of reception staff He just casually said “ yeah no problem “. Well I won’t be back because to me it is a problem I was Grateful for the hand sanitizer stations which I used on my way out

Fantastic experience: What a jewel in Newcastle’s crown. I live closer to Mkt Drayton but am happy travelling further because of the variety of activities I can take part in. The good boost aqua classes in the little pool are fab and have really helped me following surgery.

Positive experience: The pool is great, the behaviour of many of the swimmers not so good - there are lane instructions for a reason and it would be good if the rules were enforced because a small minority spoil it for everyone else by refusing to follow the simple rules.

Negative experience: After being served by possibly the 2 rudest receptionists in the leisure industry, the pool was cold, and the changing rooms needed a clean. The only positive thing I can say is that the showers were very warm.

Fantastic experience: Jubilee 2 is great for children’s swimming lessons , the instructors are great with the children , they take the time to help each child with there individual needs

Fantastic experience: Great pool, lots of classes if that's your thing but the lane swimming is well managed, pool is clean and not too busy and the staff are really friendly. They sell costumes goggles etc on site and also have a climbing wall and a gym.

Negative experience: Rang up was told to come down only 20 people In the pool we got there and they said oh We're full! Had to go on. Waiting list. Sat in the cafe and was wondering if we should order a coffee when the waitress came and said can you sit elsewhere when all the tables were empty!? Got into the pool and after an hour we were told our kids had the wrong goggles on! Won't be returning

Negative experience: Not brilliant computers always down... Vegan cafe is friendly enough but ideally need to have a none vegan cafe also

Negative experience: Contract finished in January and randomly debuted £25 today. Been on the waiting line for half an hour but nobody picks up the phone.

Positive experience: Staff didn't seem to care about people using the lanes to chat. There were 2 girls chatting at the bottom of the fast lane for 20 minutes, not moving. I asked the life guard if they could be moved as it was making turns hard in that lane for us all but she said 'if that's what they want to do, I can't do anything about it'.

Negative experience: They say that you canceled a very fraudulent Campaign membership, but they still continue to steal money from your bank

Negative experience: Not acceptable. Got jubilee2 for 1, for the leisure swim, we were put at the top of the waiting list. It comes to 14:15 and we still weren’t called in after multiple people were shouted in to the big pool. We went up to registration a good 3-4 times but nothing was solved. Poor service and we aren’t happy. There were a good handful of families still waiting.

Negative experience: Tried to join, rang 4 times during the day no answer. Will join M club instead now

Fantastic experience: Never used the pool services but the gym is great. Great staff, could do with more treadmills though. Other than that, great!

Negative experience: Really disappointed in the swimming lesson quality. Poor teaching and skills not updated on the app weekly so hard to track progress. Need more teachers in the actual pool with the kids, and less parents. Will not be taking my son back for stage 2 lessons

Fantastic experience: We visit on a Sunday, it is always busy but the pool never feels overcrowded, unlike other local venues. The staff here are always lovely and encourage my son as he is learning to swim. The pool and other areas are always clean and well maintained. By far the best pool in the area!

Fantastic experience: Very clean and welcoming our little girl has just started swimming lessons here and she loves it swimming widths straight away because she felt confident around the instructor teaching her.

Negative experience: Pool temperature has dropped recently. App has stopped working again. App is totally unreliable.

Positive experience: Their limit for the junior pool is too high. Could not swim with our little one due to other swimmers staying in one spot, or not swimming in the same direction. Prices were also quite expensive. Pool was a good temperature, with plenty of changing areas and lockers

Positive experience: Not good. I had two grandchildren with me and there was far too much in the way of couples gropping each other.

Negative experience: Turned up this morning with a 3 year and old and 10 year old and was declined admission to take them swimming on the basis they are no longer accepting anyone above the age of 8. They were only just putting the posters up to say so. I questioned whether this was on the website where the lady was confused and then confirmed it was. I’ve just checked the website and there is nothing on there as of 11:45am. I then had to tell a 3 year old she couldn’t go swimming. Shocking and very aloof staff behind the counter. Was genuinely considering joining jubilee but wouldn’t based on this experience. Looking through the reviews- interesting to see how many reference how utterly rude the front of house staff are…almost a pattern

Positive experience: Great for a family swim, clean also.

Fantastic experience: I use the goodboost classes on the recommendation of a physiotherapist at Bradwell Hospital .Best thing I have ever done . I attend 3 times a week you follow the exercises on a tablet on the poolside I have rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis and these classes have certainly helped my joints .would highly recommend these classes

Negative experience: me and my friend went swimming today and not even half an hour had passed and we were already uncomfortable about the atmosphere with two workers there watching us. They approached us and made us feel very unwelcome and asked if we could swim two laps in front of many people to prove we could swim- as we both have anxiety immediately we felt very timid and again extremely uncomfortable. We soon left and will not be returning for a while.

Positive experience: I use the small pool for "good boost" session. It is a fitness programme specific to my conditions which helps my physical & mental wellbeing.

Positive experience: Clean changing rooms and pool was nice. Fit Swim session needed better management by lifeguards and it was pretty chaotic and difficult to swim continuously. £6 a swim is also on the pricy side of a PAYG membership.

Positive experience: Floors are often dirty. Needs more aquafit classes with Chris or Nicky.

Negative experience: Arrived excitedly with my children to be told me and my 2 year old could go in but my daughters couldn't as it was parent and toddler swim only, (fair enough), so had to leave and come back at 10am to then be told my daughters could go in but myself and my son couldn't until 10.15, seemed badly organised, when finally got inside the changing rooms were dirty and didn't particulary make me want to stand barefoot on the floor well getting changed, actual pool was OK and a nice temperature

Negative experience: Good pricing for family swim session and overall cleanliness was great. However, staff on the front desk were very rude, made you feel uncomfortable especially when you have young children. Felt very unwelcome and looked down upon as soon as we entered the building. As for the family swim session, we attended with our nearly 2 year old and chose this session as it is in the small training pool and states that it is a session only for non or weak swimmers and children under 8. This did not seem the case when in the pool as most children in there were swimming throughout the pool and jumping into the pool, a little off putting for babies and toddlers who are not swimmers as this is advertised that it is suitable for that age group - which is why we attended this session. With being in the smaller pool, it was very overcrowded by the time everybody was in there and you felt very restricted in where you could move. I would not recommend the family swim session especially if you have younger children. As said before the reception staff were very rude and almost made you feel like an inconvenience - expect an eye roll if your baby dares to cry! Strange considering it’s advertised as child friendly. Will not be returning

Fantastic experience: Not too many people in and you can use the whole pool on the leisure swim so you didn't feel closed in. Staff really helpful.

Negative experience: Staff are nice but the equipment is lacking, dated and shabby. The key fob system is less than perfect for logging exercise and there are numerous apps that do it easier. I was sold on the idea of it having a sauna but I'm told that is now being converted to another studio.

Positive experience: Nice enough place but annoyed as it takes half an hour to que up and get in even though you are there early and then they only give you 45 mins session when you've paid for 1hr 15mins.

Fantastic experience: A generous sized pool - almost as wide as it is long. Fitness swim lanes seem to be available throughout the day as there is enough room to have swimming lessons at one end and fitness swim lanes at the other. Lanes are slow, medium and fast-paced swimmers. Other swimmers are very courteous and let you pass if you are a slightly faster swimmer. There is a separate smaller pool which is used for family swim and aqua exercise. They seem to be able to cater to all very generously. Lockers take a pound coin which is returned or trolley token if you prefer. Near the locker room exit, there is a spinner to wring out your bathing suit. There is a good mix of size of changing rooms. Most other places have one or two large changing rooms, but her there is quite a generous amount. If you're doing a fitness swim, you can place a bottle of water at the end of the lane for refreshments. Changing area always looks clean and the pool is closed twice a day for 45 minutes for them to do a thorough clean. Started taking two kids to swimming lessons here October 2021. If you are signing kids up for swimming lessons for the first time, be prepared to queue before 8am on the day of first registering if you are wanting to get a space at your choice of day or time. Before you attend sign-up, you should order a Lyme Card for each child having swimming lessons - this will save time on the day. Also, ask for a list of days and times of the swimming level you need, so you can have an idea of which session you want. It is first come, first served and there is always a lot of interest. The good news is, once there are in, as long as you continue to pay for each term block of lessons, you won't have to do the queuing again. The teachers the kids have experiences seem to be really good and knowledgeable and all floatation equipment is provided. It is amazing to see how quickly some children progress. Highly recommend if you are wanting to sign your children up to lessons.

Negative experience: Staff are utterly useless and are completely unprofessional and disrespectful towards customers, basically a waste of money and time to attend. Only positive is that i’ve left them.

Fantastic experience: Really spacious and clean pool and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I went with my 8 month year old and found it catered brilliantly for babies.

Negative experience: The gym and Swimming are fantastic no complaints but the staff are so horribly disrespectful and rude and make kids cry for absolutely no reason this doesnt apy to the staff in the gym ir fromt desks mostly life guards i could like this sorted out considering it to be child friendly

Positive experience: Great facility, helpful and friendly staff. Good value membership if you use all the facilities but a little short on some gym equipment, only one of each weight machine can make it difficult to complete a full workout when busy.

Fantastic experience: First time booking family pods to take our 20 month old. Very covid cautious and everything kept clean. Lockers and cubicles numbered that correspond with each other so they are kinked together. Cleaned after each use.

Negative experience: IF YOU DARE TO VISIT, THIS STRUCTURALLY DEFECTIVE LEISURE CENTRE, & ITS INHOSPITABLE STAFF, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, FILL OUT A COMPLAINTS FORM, EVEN IF, YOU ARE A MEMBER!! THE DUTY MANAGER WILL UNDOUTEDLY TAKE IT THE WRONG WAY & CALL THE POLICE ON YOU!! YES HE REALLY WILL!! BECAUSE THAT, IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!! AND DON'T EXPECT ANY FORM OF APOLOGY EITHER, BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO DO THAT!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
