Halo Bridgnorth Endowed Leisure Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Good swimming pool. Didn't try any other facilities
Negative experience: To the manager. Please review the cleaning of the changing cubicles and changing area as there are some very concerned customers on the standard of cleanliness. This is no reflection on the Life Gard's and Teaching Staff ! .
Negative experience: Poor car park management. As a Disabled driver supposed to have free parking in appropriate bays. You need to touch screen with registration number which I did and still got £100 fine. Despite being advised by on site staff that I did right the car park bullies are hounding me. I definitely will never go there again and I'll tell.my friends.
Dear Roy, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience at Halo. We truly appreciate your honesty and the valuable insights you provided regarding our car park management. Firstly, we would like to extend our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and frustration you encountered while trying to park in the appropriate bays. It is deeply regrettable that despite following the correct procedure by inputting your registration number, you received a £100 fine. We understand how distressing this must have been, especially since you were reassured by our on-site staff that you had done everything correctly. This kind of treatment goes against our mission to provide excellent service to all of our valued customers, especially disabled drivers who are entitled to free parking. We completely understand your decision of not wanting to visit us again, and we want to assure you that addressing this issue promptly is of utmost importance to us. We genuinely value your custom and we would love the opportunity to make things right. We kindly ask for your guidance on how we can improve our car park management and rectify this situation for you and future customers. Your insights will be invaluable in helping us enhance our processes and ensure a seamless parking experience for all visitors. Please can you get in touch with me at the centre and I can assist with getting the charge revoked, as you fit the criteria for free parking. Once again, we apologise for any distress caused. -Bethany
Negative experience: Disgusted at the way the car parking is 'administered'. I'm a disabled driver who was according to the T&Cs was allowed free parking . I still bought a ticket and registered my number in reception as advised by the onsite staff. However I have now recieved a threatening letter from a car parking company saying I owe them £100. There does not appear to be anyway to contact the centre as the website doesn't seem to work properly and the phone doesn't get answered.
Negative experience: The leisure centre is great but the car park owners are abysmal. I attended, paid on arrival and still got home to a £100 fine today. Shocking and I won’t ever be using this leisure centre again when there are others locally that don’t even charge for parking let alone give you a fine even when you do.
Negative experience: Went over time on car park by 6 minutes and received a £60 fine! This has really put me off using the leisure centre.
Positive experience: Friendly and helpful Staff. Sports Hall shabby and poor lighting.
Positive experience: Has sizeable swimming pool, we use it for the squash court. Has a small but hood equipped gym.
Fantastic experience: Staff are very polite, friendly atmosphere and facilities great
Fantastic experience: Staff were brilliant daughter loves it
Fantastic experience: Great for swimming lessons for small children.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic traditional lesiure centre. Its like walking back into the 80's, everything is really old but seems to work OK and the staff are great.
Fantastic experience: I likevtheir swimming pool, and swimming lessons for children great)))
Positive experience: Used the pool at 7.30am. Booked in advance. 25m pool has capability for four lanes, however the booked session only had two lanes merged into one large circular. One for both slow and fast. A little impractical & no lane etiquette goes out of the window - 8+ people in each lane. Facilities are a little dated but overall they looked clean and well maintained
Negative experience: Went to the active for life session as a family member had lost all confidence in swimming since a serious illness, it says in the advertising, a relaxed swim for people that want to take it easy and aren't up to lane swimming. We were in fact the only ones that weren't lane swimming, it was far from relaxed as we were having to move out of the way of people going up and down all of the time. The pool was freezing but nowhere near as cold as the changing rooms, my wife couldn't even get showered it was that cold so waited until we got back home. We asked to use a pool noodle to assist with confidence building but the lifeguard said we could use a float but not a noodle as he had been told no but didn't know why. You have to remove your shoes before entering the changing rooms (in the hallway)and walk across the wet floor. The person on the counter, although not rude, was so miserable, he didn't even look up when addressing customers. The BMI scales upstairs take your money but don't print out, when I reported this to the man on the front desk, he said, we don't own the machines, the paper must have run out. No offer of reimbursement or anything. The only decent thing I can say good about this is the changing rooms aren't bad, just cold. We will not be returning, and considering they were asking for help not so long ago to stay open I think more of an effort from their side should be made. We'll carry on going to Stourbridge crystal center, a real swimming pool with a decent temperature and customer friendly.

Fantastic experience: A friend had a kids football party here. Well organised. They loved it.
Fantastic experience: Lane swimming in the evening. Plenty of room for swimmers to go at their own pace be fast or slow like me. Staff were helpful as we've only been going for 2 weeks and didn't know the protocol.
Positive experience: Nice staff gym definitely needs more and new equipment as it’s old and most of it grinds and creeks . Also paying for parking when ur a member isn’t good at all

Positive experience: Pleasant small pool. Book sessions
Fantastic experience: Lovely staff so friendly
Fantastic experience: Friendly and helpful staff. The lift on the other hand is very temperamental. So if like myself, you're of a nervous disposition in a lift, avoid at all costs...
Thanks for the rating, Hannah!
Fantastic experience: Multiple choices of activities and friendly willing to help staff, myself take my son 3 times a week for martial arts classes.
Thanks for your review Lesley. We hope your son enjoys his classes. See you both soon!
Positive experience: Nice. If a little dated.
Fantastic experience: Good gym
Fantastic experience: Good place to keep fit
Positive experience: Great new facilities
Positive experience: Getting better now its having some money spent on it. Staff are great and helpfull
Fantastic experience: Good
Positive experience: Standard local leisure centre. Average charge of £4.45. Changing room very dated. Pool and staff very nice. Locker needs 20p non-returnable so if you want to get your towel/shampoo after a swim for a shower that trickles out it's an extra 40p for the pleasure. I was staying in the area for a week but can't help feeling it could be better.
Fantastic experience: Lovely pool and warm which is important when you have young kids, as you don't tend to do alot of swimming when looking after a child so need a warm temperature.
Fantastic experience: Would recommend to anybody, I have had such a pleasrnt experience with the leisure centre that I would use again!
