Positive experience: Good gym facilities and friendly staff. The gym itself is pretty big so more often than not you’re good to be able to use equipment without having to hang around. As with lots of settings nowadays it’s sometimes frustrating when you’re tight for time and you just want to get in, use the gym and go but there are people utilising the space or machine that are spending more time looking at their phone than actually doing anything resembling a workout. This doesn’t happen all the time and I try hard to avoid the peaks but balancing this with work sometimes makes this difficult so it’s quite frustrating when people do this. Good sized changing rooms (Men’s) and sauna which in my experience have always been clean. The showers are sometimes smelling a bit fusty and have had period where they have been out or order. An improvement point for Adwick would be to fix the showers so that when you press the button for the water that it stays on longer than 5 seconds and it’s pretty difficult to wash one handed as you have to keep the button pressed in!

Negative experience: The play zone really only for under 5's... very small . Toilets dirty, door ripped off , dryers not working and no paper to dry hands. Positive note coffee was lovely.

Negative experience: What a joke.....all i wanted was to look at the swimming sessions for the week...i dont want to be a nember i dont want to book ....i want to see a full lay out of your available times to swim...in all your pools too...and as for that over excited automated message your put through to ....get a receptionist on every reception in every facility.....also how wrong is it that if i dont book ive to pay a pound more???

Positive experience: Went for something to eat at 6.25pm and the kitchen was already closed. I need to check the opening times.

Fantastic experience: Great pool

Positive experience: The nephews enjoyed the swimming. But the facilities are very dated. The floors felt unclean and grubby. It felt like the whole place needed a good deep clean!

Positive experience: Staff are friendly and happy to help. Gym facilties are good as is the pool. Good for kids as there's also bowling and a play area, with a bar and food the enjoy whilst they let off steam. Just dropped a star due to a seriously high number of lights that need replacing either due to flashing or just out.

Positive experience: Women's toilets had no paper

Negative experience: I came here for a competition with my swimming group and the floor was dirty and disgusting mold was on the floor. There was only a bit of space to sit but with the amount of people from other swimming groups it wasn't well and I wanted to sit on the floor as there was no choice however the floor was very dirty.

Negative experience: Been for a swim this morning with my boys, ended up standing on a rusty drawing pin in the middle of the pool. Handed it to staff, don't worry I was ok, don't bother asking. No really, don't. The bottom of the pool is disgustingly dirty, it looks like mud and stuff at the bottom, do they not put the pool cleaning hoover type thingy in anymore?? Also the men's pool toilets are gross, the urinals haven't been cleaned in a long time there's dust on them.

Fantastic experience: Showers have been out of order for some time now, and the blow dryers are nonexistent. When asked why they don't bring new ones , I was answered that they will, but its been a year already.

Negative experience: Play area not bad. Staff take 6 years to let you in. They don't watch the area so when kids trying to go down a slide they can't as other kids walking up it. Very disappointed.

Positive experience: staff are great here and they have premier on tap, always good - bowling is good but please can you drill out some more balls as most finger holes are too small lol

Positive experience: Gym is very clean with friendly staff! However the swimming changing rooms are very dirty! As well as the toilets which smell of urine, definitely needs attention. I also don’t feel comfortable using the mixed gendered showers, needs to be sectioned off in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit, I was greeted by cheerful friendly staff. They checked me in and escorted me to my class as I had no idea where to go. Nothing was too much trouble for them. There is a well equipped airy gym, The changing rooms were spotlessly clean with plenty of lockers. I didn't have a pound coin for the locker and a member of staff lent me a trolley token to use. The shower cubicles are on the small size, I recommend you put your towel in a carrier bag and hang on the door hook, otherwise it will get wet while you're washing. The Synergy instructor was knowledgeable and encouraging. They run a good selection of classes that you can book on the new app. Next time I go, I will check out the pool and other facilities. So far, I'm very impressed with the high standards here.

Negative experience: Lack of availability. Members of the open public are unable to use the facilities at key times (ie weekends & evenings) poorly managed. 25 minutes on the phone to be treated like snot. Poor customer service.

Positive experience: Seems nice first time big pool and it had 2 pools so nice for family's with small children. Rio has autism so I wasn't sure if he would like but he seemed to enjoy his time so all is good

Fantastic experience: Pretty good. Only take kids for play area. Bit expensive for what it is. Foods ok though. Again bit expensive for pub grub. But wont stop going.

Positive experience: Played Badminton. Been going since 1974 when it opened ! Place was spotless....but the bowling, bar and adjoining areas were empty. Quite sad . Staff were brill.

Negative experience: The swimming facilities are foul. They’re not clean enough for children. The floors are disgusting and the changing room stinks. Maybe the manager instead of walking around thinking he’s important should actually address the issues he walks past.

Negative experience: Child does swimming lessons and 7 lessons have been cancelled in the last 3 months. Do not book your child into swimming lessons with this centre as they cannot provide a service.

Positive experience: Does anyone know if the changing room lockers at the leisure centres are secure as I've had keys& money stolen out of my locker before. Round keys are the most securest as I've never had a problem with the tubular Round locks. ○-

Positive experience: First visit for years, so everything has changed. Changing rooms for pool are communal, not sure about that, small desk on entry to centre for all enquiries inc members. Centre was extremely busy which I thought was very good considering everything with COL Went for a aquafit which was excellent, will be returning

Fantastic experience: We recently visited here to try the soft play area and bowing and we was surprised by the facilities on offer. We live reasonably close by and didn't really know what it had to offer. The soft play is on the smaller size but our 3-year-old enjoyed the bigger part and our 10-month-old enjoyed playing in the toddler area. Bowling was good, get to set the game up yourself, eg names and barrier choice. Get to use your own footwear if you have trainers on. Will visit again.

Positive experience: Really wanted to go bowling and decided to give this one a try following the recommendations of a friend. We normally use TenPin near the Dome, but discovered their recent refurbishment has ruined the venue for us (too many arcade/amusements, noisy, overcrowded with no quiet space or bar area). We arrived at the Adwick Complex without a booking, but managed to get a lane within a few minutes. It's a much quieter venue with only 8 lanes, but it doesn't overload your senses and actually allows for a fun but calm social experience. They've got separate seating/eating areas, a few "arcade" machines and quite possibly the nicest/cleanest toilets we've seen. The prices are very reasonable. Personally, the only negatives for us are that they use "string-pin" setters instead of the traditional/preferred "free-fall" pin setters, the lane scoring computers are a bit out-dated and the food menu is quite small.

Positive experience: Booked for lane swimming and there's only a few lanes in the pool ,but for some reason there's 60 spaces available,therefore there were 20 to 30 people in the pool when we went making it near impossible to actually swin a lane, as the other people were swimming in all different directions.

Negative experience: Don’t book your children in for swim lessons!! My sons on week 9 of swim lessons and only done 2 as they get cancelled constantly! Yes you get a refund but we pay upfront and refund takes up to 5 days after class is cancelled. Absolute joke

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Adwick Leisure Centre for a few years now, mainly for the gym and exercise classes. They have a good range of equipment and really helpful and friendly staff and a great range of classes. There is also a sauna in the changing rooms. Also used the swimming pool which is good but missing a slide which means we often prefer to go elsewhere for swimming. Kids soft play is good, it's small but we went on a sunday and it was so quiet we ended up with the place ourselves which was nice. Nice bowling area and bar, checked out the menu recently though and not really any healthy options to choose from so doubt I would purchase food there. Overall though I think the facilities are great to have local, staff are great and the place is kept clean.

Positive experience: Me and my son love a bit of bowling..not to busy on a week day.

Negative experience: Got a skatepark which they can only open from 3-5 on a weekday which only seems to be in use for kids no choice of being able to use during the day for people who might have a day off but doesn’t want the hassle of 30 kids on scooters. They also said they have to have someone watch as well which is mad because I’ve rode over 100 places built by councils and never had to have someone watch me ride. Wouldn’t bother asking them questions they can’t justify a couple of adults using a skatepark for a hour to themselves. Embarrassing

Staff here are very polite and helpful. Feel at ease knowing we will come back here for our 2nd vaccinations.

Fantastic experience: Had my covid jab and flabbergasted at the organisation and timely manner it took to have the jab! In and out, no messing about! Very well managed! Thankyou so so so much to every volunteer giving up their free time to make sure we're all vaccinated and safe! You need gold medals each and every one of you! Thankyou to the leisure centre, for the use of this space. To vaccinate so many people!! The jab didn't hurt one bit!

Negative experience: shocking, in the middle of a pandemic and the only way to go to one of the Doncaster council run gyms is to sign a 12 month contract for £30 a month! What a joke. People may not have a job that long. Other gyms doing a one month rolling contract. Disgusting

Positive experience: Nice pool. Pleasant staff on reception. Nice to see a collection of trophies displayed although not sure for what haven't actually stopped to look. Pleasant well knowledgeable people who run the classes for Pilates and yoga.

Negative experience: They need to look at increasing accessibility to their facilities. Eg the only current gym membership is the monthly one. Day entry now costs £8.50 for those visiting relatives in area.

Negative experience: Good new gym, but showers are rubbish, never had a personal trainer show interest and do stats since refurb. Sauna in changing rooms. They dont serve coke zero in the restaurant - a little thing but frustrating for a fitness centre. Good quality food at a good price. Wish swimming had better hours in a morning it's always closed for schools etc. A small flume for the kids would make a big difference. Bowling is great. At £30 a month plus more for kids play center it's by far not the cheapest, so I expected higher standards. Can get more for your money elsewhere, which is a shame as if they addressed those points I would be happy here.
