Fantastic experience: Very nice staffs and well respected

Negative experience: I received a letter from PCN that I have parked next to your outside gate on the 4th at 6:10 pm. I want to tell you that I didn't park there I just turned my car and stopped beyond your gate and picked my son. Your parking cameras has taken that picture with my break lights on, that means I just stopped there for two minutes. This penalty is nothing to do with your club as I stopped beyond your gate. There are so many ways to make money. Please don't do it this way. You should know how hard it is to earn money. You have sent £60 penalty and if not paid within 14 days £100 will be charged. I want to write you something. God is watching everyone very closely and he will Justify each and everyone.

Positive experience: Good place, not exceptional, to spend an evening. Staff are friendly. Beer is good. Light meals are offered. Reasonable prices. Sports facilities are good too. Need better changing rooms, cleaner, more privacy.

Fantastic experience: Attended a 30th birthday celebrations, staff were all lovely and we had a great time. Drinks reasonable price too!

Positive experience: Had my wedding reception here, the experience was mixed. Steve is very friendly and easy to talk to. The room was lovely, the only issue we had was with the catering, we found that the amount of food received was not worth what we paid. Also we spoke to them regarding allergy food, which they said they would provide, which they never did, then denied ever having a conversation with me about this, even though I have the messages as proof. It really was a shame, as said earlier the venue itself is really nice. But the food was the only let down.

Positive experience: I went to listen to the Swing Shift Big Band. They are on once a month. Next month they play on the 14th with guest Brandon Allen from Perth Australia who plays saxaphones. Plenty of parking. Good bar and staff. Comfortable seating and friendly clientelle.

Negative experience: Unfortunately the parking cameras let the venue down. Due to our function being a funeral I had to drop a vehicle over the day before hand so I did and the recovery truck I used has now had a PCN and I wasn't even in the grounds of the social club and it's picked it up what's worse is you can clearly see the trucks brake lights illuminated! Needless to say I won't be paying the fine! It's a shame as the staff and catering are lovely and the venue was great for our function.

Fantastic experience: Had our wedding party at Jag club in Feb 2020 with vegas tables from Midland casino hire amazing room & food. So our son & girlfriend wanted the same party for their wedding 14th May 2023 so booked function room, had balloons done by Blossomin Balloons, vegas tables by Andy @ Midland Casino hire. Food done in house by Stef & Collegue. ( sorry forgot name). So late afternoon we had coffee, tea, & we had like a mixed grazing table with crackers, crisps, cheeseboards, grapes, mix basket of breads with proper butter. Evening food went down a storm samosas from sweet memories but ordered in hot by Stef , crisps, nibbles,, chicken nuggets, gala pie, savoury eggs, filled rolls, just so much stuff to list so much food. So much care taken into presentation and they catered for veggie, vegan & gluten free. I couldn’t ask for anymore off Stef & other lady (sorry). They put the cupcake stands and cone stand up for me, put paper cloths on table and wedding sprinkles. They looked after the wedding cake in there cellar over night (less stress) set up the wedding cake table for us. They went above and beyond for us and my son & daughter in law. I would highly recommend The Jaguar function room and their catering 5 stars. I’d recommend Midland casino hire with real croupiers, printed money with wedding couple picture on. I’d recommend blossoming balloons. I’d recommend Tina Carvell in Daventry for wedding cakes, celebration cakes, cupcakes, ice cream cone cakes all amazing and great prices Thanks for reading

Negative experience: I recently went to the swimming pool/sauna/steam room here and had a terrible experience. as i was walking into the steam room i could not see a thing due to how steamed up it was which is fine, however the steam vent which lets out all the hot steam is on the floor with a warning sign that is no where to be seen, the vent has no cover and typically steam vents should be on the roof of the room to prevent a situation like mine happening… not seeing where anything was i stepped into the steam room infront of the vent as i could not see it and got 3rd degree burns all up my leg and had to go to a&e. it is now infected, all i was told when i called up a few days after was “sorry about that we will try and raise it” and nothing in return, for future if anyone goes here please be careful as it’s extremely dangerous.

Negative experience: Club is nice and good choice of beers. We attended a party where the club supplied the food, very poor quality and poorly presented!! Not value for money at all, I would be asking for a refund. Would not recommend their catering at all

Positive experience: The place seem very nice, the small bar in the function room was well managed and the place has a good layout. The bathrooms were good and well placed. They have proper sink taps rather than those annoying anti vandal ones that never work very well. The hand dryer can do with some updating as they are the like the ones from the 80s that don't really dry anything, just make a noise. The carpark layout could do with some change, as by the time you realise the main part is full, there is no much room to turn around to go to the overflow carpark, you end up just reversing quite a long way.

Fantastic experience: Went here for a Christmas charity fate and took my mother and daughter. Great cause it was for and ended up with a nice second hand free 6ft green tree. If I got there 10 minutes earlier I would have had two 6ft trees but the other one would have been white. Nice place to watch the football and any sport as they also do food if hungry.

Negative experience: Visited this place on 23rd October afternoon. The place looks lovely and well presented served drinks with a friendly staff behind the bar. My daughter ordered a kids meal. As we were waiting we were horrified at the sight of a male staff licking first a knife and then his fingers several times from a tab. After this revolting incident he carried our plates to come and serve us. My sister called the staff who served us drinks at first and explained we were not happy to eat the food after what we had seen. The staff in question came to the table and to our horror instead of apologising went on a rant how he had sanitised his hands!! and did not see why we had a problem. He walked away came back and shoved his hands at me asking me to smell that it was sanitised! Quite surprised at his audacity I rejected and walked to the serving desk to speak to the female in the kitchen kindly why I was rejecting the food. The man claiming to be the 'Manager' stepped into the conversation and asked why i was talking to the female as he was the manager! I explained to him manager or not his behaviour was unacceptable as a hygiene standard and in the light of all the safety measures in place due to covid! We rejected the food. He later came to apologise but frankly the damage had been done by his poor luck of customer service! It was such a shame seeing the staff at the mercy of a manager who clearly did not see the magnitude of his gross behaviour. As a food lover this is not a place I will be coming back to!!! He clearly needs to have a food hygiene training.
