Fantastic experience: Great gym. Love that it has capped membership as I hate really busy gyms. Good equipment, always spotlessly clean. Bathrooms in particular are good. Staff really helpful and kind. Only suggestions: Leave info somewhere detailing bar weights (EZ bar, H bar, bench bar). Ab machine elbow pads need changing. Preacher Curl bench could do with an adjustable seat.
Hi Harry, thanks for your kind and encouraging words. We are really happy that our efforts are being noticed. Your suggestions are also very valid and I will get our fabric engineer to look at those elbow pads. Regarding the bar weights the bench bars are all olympic standard at 20kg in regards to the others I would have to do some digging i.e delivery notes etc. That particular preacher curl doesn't have a adjustable seat attachment unfortunately. I will relay all this feedback to my team and make sure the standards are kept and the right improvements/changes are carried out. Keep up your good work at the gym also
Fantastic experience: Good friendly atmosphere. Friendly and courteous staff. The place is clean and well maintained. Love the music choice they play, always picks my mood up.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff!! Ps: Norris i will miss you. Great family friendly atmosphere, from gym users. Would recommend Bart PT sessions 100% all over. He is the best! I'm so so sad I have to leave, due to a change of work place. Will definitively come back whenever possible.

Positive experience: Close by and 24 hours. Works well with my working hours. The place have almost all the equipments you need tbh. Staff are lovely. Shower facilities available plus free fruit !

Negative experience: Shocked at how the member of staff spoke to a female customer today, he was very aggressive, the gym used to be a really nice place but I will be cancelling my membership.
After looking into this matter with a thorough investigation including looking at the other review made by this account we as a company can full heartily claim this review as false. This gym has a personal and intimate setting and treating all customers, members and staff with respect is the foundation of this establishment. Negative experience: Sadly the gym has gone down hill over the last year. Equipment is showing signs of wear and tear to the point that machines are breaking on a regular basis and servicing isn’t being done correctly and repairs advised not done. Showers are a slip hazard tiles are not non slip so it’s like an ice skating rink once you turn the water on. Premises is not always manned during advertised hours more and more often. Sadly as the owners are not gym people they really don’t get it and focus on their other businesses more so. The only reason I keep going is the actual other members who are awesome they make up for it not being looked after. Surprised that anytime allow people to buy a franchise who have no real interest or care for the members or gym itself
Hi Chris, Thanks for your review, we apologise you feel this way.. We are doing everything we can to resolve the issues. We put in slip mats inside the shower to stop anyone slipping, we have non slip tiles in the bathrooms too. We spoke to you yesterday regarding this, you mentioned that sometimes that staff are cleaning or washing towels next door, we need this to ensure that the gym is kept tidy for everyone, so we cant be everywhere at once. Negative experience: A nice little gym fairly clean, a fair range of equipment but the main problem is the member off staff who was on the desk for me. I was staying in Harlow for work and this was the closest gym, I went and asked how much is a day pass please he said we don't do them we only do a three day free trial. I signed upto that went the next day and he kicked me out saying no it's only a day trail. Then he said you can pay £5 for today if you want to stay. Genuinely ill never use a anytime fitness gym again just because of this. I'm not bothered by paying for day passes bc I travel all over and I know it will cost me more than signing upto a year's contract. Just disappointed by the sales guy. He didn't even make me aware of the 7 day trial they over on the website.

Positive experience: It's an ok gym. Depending on your needs I suppose it's all relevant. For me there wasn't enough of the equipment I like to use. Only two squat racks, and three Olympic bars so when it was busy it could be a long wait. I asked about getting things like a sled and some other strongmam/crossfit type equipment but I guess that sort of stuff is not in Anytime's remit. As with most commercial gyms it's top heavy with cardio machines but that's the rule in most places. I've moved on from Anytime now, which I only joined as it's open 24/7. The staff are friendly and the Harlow one has generally a friendly feel to it but it just didn't have what I needed.

We do have a large selection of free weights, resistance machines, cardio and functional equipment including plyo boxes, boxing bag, kettlebells, sandbags etc. Sorry to hear we did not have the specific equipment you were looking for currently. We do take requests into consideration and try to offer the types of equipment that the majority of exercises require.

Negative experience: Member of anytime and like their facilities but sweet jebus. This is my least favourite anytime branch - fob didn't work on entry, showers smelled like Jimmy savilles sock draw. The place is small. Colchester one is the place to be

We do currently have a booking system in place that will not allow access unless you have a booking, which may explain why the fob entry did not work for you. Our showers are currently being worked upon to improve our members experience. Despite our smaller size than other branches we do have an extensive array of equipment and do not get busy. Negative experience: cancelled membership 2 years ago due to poor management couldn't get in the place at night because fob wouldn't work they've still billing me despite cancelling my membership

Negative experience: The gym has gone downhill massively over the past couple off years. The changing rooms are filthy (the same piece off dirty toilet paper has been on the floor for over a week).and the showers are disgusting.

Fantastic experience: Everything about the gym is excellent quality, from the personal trainers and members to the management staff. All staff and members alike are pleasant, supportive and friendly; the equipment is some of the best on the market and; you have access to your own personal toilets and showers, which are always clean and smelling fresh! Oh I nearly forgot to mention: the gym is open 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! You can train anytime you want, so you no longer have any excuses! ;)

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best gyms in Harlow. Clean, friendly atmosphere and staff always support their members to reach their goals. You also have state of the art equipment, modern and upto date.
Negative experience: This is the worst gym I've ever been a member of, the facilities are not at all great, they hardly have any decent classes and they are considerably more expensive than other gyms in Harlow but I thought I'd give them a try because of the proximity to the train station, really not worth it. The staff are arrogant and don't approach gym-users with a desire to help nor assist them, there are lots of passive aggressive comments and if you walk round the gym you'll see for yourself there are angry sounding directive signs all over the place. Several times I've had e-mails from them in the morning saying things like "To the person who didn't put their weights back last, we know who you are, treat the equipment with respect, we're watching you", those e-mails would come even when I hadn't used the gym so they can't have been directed at me - surely normal adults would just have a polite discussion with the person responsible.

Fantastic experience: I used to belong to a gym in the city near my work and could never use the equipment as it was so busy. I can use any machine I want to now and love the atmosphere. I have only been a member for a few weeks but already feel like my training has improved. Andy the manager is very friendly and welcoming too.
