The Gym Group Swansea

Negative experience: It's super cheap so bare that in mind, but the equipment is really lacking and the machines they use aren't very good quality so if your workouts are machine based don't go here. It's also super bright and in my opinion has a bad atmosphere. I did like 2 workouts here and found a better gym elsewhere, it's also pretty busy all the time in the day.

Positive experience: The only problem I have faced is the car parking compared to other gyms

Fantastic experience: Pretty decent facilities with lots of equipment and plenty of space. The entry mechanism is a bit annoying but it's fine. The downstairs area stinks of feet (!)

Fantastic experience: Clean, affordable and great gym with awesome staff. You can always see either emily or billy on the gym floor interacting with clients or attending or cleaning any equipment to ensure a safe place for training.

Negative experience: Didn't feel comfortable there due to the amount of body shamers giving unsolicited advice to women and making inappropriate comments about their weight. Gym rats also do not clean their sweat from the machines.

Fantastic experience: Had a business trip in Swansea this gym was well situated near the hotel and the 3 day pass worked really well and easy to get on the app. Would go again when am next back in Swansea

Fantastic experience: This Is a medium sized gym on the outskirts of Swansea City centre. The gym is on one level, on the first floor of the building. On the ground floor there is an Amazon Locker unit and some bike spaces There are plenty of high tech equipment in this gym including weight assist machines and free weights. There are also plenty of cardio equipment, such a rowing, and tread meals. There is also a large warm-up area. It is a shame, however, that at the moment there is a lot of scaffolding and plastic sheeting covers all around the gym and surrounding buildings. This obscures the gym building making it easily missed unless you know it's there.

Fantastic experience: Clean affordable gym, top equipment and the best staff. They always find the time to explain new workouts, and always willing to help regardless of how busy they are. Very approachable and super informative during any scheduled free classes they offer. Catrina is very approachable, very knowledgeable and conversations always leave me motivated to hit my own goals as she is so inspiring and supportive.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited this gym and although I was nervous as I haven’t been to the gym before I was greeted with welcoming and friendly faces. The gym is very clean and tidy and staff are friendly and helpful especially catrina one of the personal trainers there as she was very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend going to anyone I know.

Fantastic experience: The Swansea Gym Group is an excellent gym in contrast to others I have gone to. The staff are incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The gym is spacious and well-equipped. I highly recommend personal trainer Dan, who has been invaluable in my weight loss journey. His expertise and motivation have made a huge difference in my progress.

Fantastic experience: As an engineer who does work on site I can honestly say first hand, it’s one of the most up kept gyms in wales and surrounding areas. Staff are amazing and on top of everything. Couldn’t ask for more from a gym as either a contractor or a member.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to the gym group now for I think atleast 4 years , I’ve found that it’s easy to get too, it’s cheap especially for it being open for 24hrs. The staff are very helpful with any questions that you need an answer too. There’s so much equipment- I voted 5 stars because with this gym there’s no judgement , no cliques it’s just people who are coming to the gym to workout for themselves , with coming to the gym everyday I’ve made friends.

Negative experience: Paid for two day passes and neither of them worked, ended up waiting an hour and a half before going home disappointed due to wasting time and loss of £16. No help available to solve this issue. Not happy terrible service

Positive experience: Decent range of equipment and useful that it's 24 hours. There are some issues however. The weights are often left lying in random places and weight selection isn't great.

Positive experience: A pretty good gym that can basically meet your fitness needs. The only regret is that there are too many people who are new to the gym. Apparently they don’t know that putting things back is the first lesson they need to learn in the gym.

Fantastic experience: It was my first ever proper time at any gym ever, and I decided to do a free class (Legs, bums and tums) with an amazing trainer Carl, he was so sweet and reassuring and just helpful and welcoming. Honestly I’d really suggest going. Side note. One of my favourite features of the app is the fact you can see how many people are in the gym ima see you don’t want to go in while it’s busy amazing. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: Girls here are NOT friendly! Tried to go recording for my tiktok account (1204 followers!! :happy: :100: :100:) and they started throwing around words like 'thats not appropriate' (what isn't??). Anyways not going here again smh!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym - the range of equipment for the price is really unbeatable. There are two weights sections which mean if you prefer a quieter area there is always one available. Cardio equipment has everything you’d need - also only gym I’ve found in Swansea with both Adductor and Abductor machines! Staff are absolutely cracking. Incredibly helpful and friendly, great amount of knowledge, classes are fun and engaging and as it is 24 hours there is always a time that suits. Also, even in the middle of the night it’s clean, safe and friendly!

Negative experience: Been coming here with my friend for about a month now and it’s been great! I understand that if your training boxing or any martial art that you need to be supervised by a PT but I had a one of your staff come up to us with a disgusting attitude saying I’m not allowed to help my friend with training and how it’s unfair to the other Pt’s that work there and how we’ll be banned from training there, better yet I get an email that’s a warning about pin misuse when I have my own pin!!! So if you want to help your friend with technique and how to use the equipment DONT COME HERE!!

Fantastic experience: Great Gym in a central location, I've been training Tevin Jospeh (personal trainer) for a while and had great results. Tevin is knowlegble and helped me reach my goals.

Negative experience: I have visited this gym for a year, but one day I realised that they scam people. Their employees even know this, but they can't do anything because this scam comes from the top of company. For instance, you paid your monthly membership, meaning legally you have right to visit this gym for a month. Next day you want to cancel your membership for next month..bang! They cancel your entire membership. You paid your membership for this month, but you are not allowed to enter the gym studio. You are scammed. You are not alone brother. They do this to their all members.

Fantastic experience: The PTs are friendly, the place is clean, (including the changing rooms and loos atm) and hours are very convenient. Sometimes can be difficult to get on equipment due to idiots just sitting, playing on their phones, so needs more proactive staff. There are free classes but they get booked up. I'm on a lifetime £10/month deal, so certainly can't complain about the value!

Negative experience: Awful. Busy all the time. Not enough of the things people actually use. Large groups of students hogging equipment for ages. Cancelling membership.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful place to workout. Machines, free-weights and what not, the sky is the limit in your ambition to develop that perfect body. There are locker rooms - separate for men and women and toilets. There is of course a monthly membership subscription that varies city to city. Entry is regulated by the use of a PIN that is mailed once membership commences. All in all, it’s a great gym.

Positive experience: Great place for a gym. Lots of equipment for everyone and lots of places for people to do different things. Downside would be the fact that you need a code for the toilets which is very annoying. They don't have everything such as equipment for sledding and nordic benches. Overall, definitely recommend this gym!
