Anytime Fitness Bath

Positive experience: 8 pounds for day pass and not a very good bench for bench press

Negative experience: The gym its self is okay with its size and range of equipment. There always seems to be something broken or out of order and certain rules seem to only apply to some customers depending on if you know the staff. I’m most frustrated with the con of a cancellation policy which requires one month notice to cancel hence it means you have to pay an extra month of membership fees no matter what. Not ideal

Fantastic experience: Me and my friends were looking for gym options for the next academic year, and so we popped in to Anytime Fitness for a tour. Kayla very kindly offered us a free day pass, allowing us to use the facilities that day. She was very helpful in showing us around and asking all of our questions, and we look forward to popping back in September!

Fantastic experience: Been coming to this year for a number of years now. Friendly staff, easy to talk to them for advise and chat to other members. A great range of equipment, never too busy. Good changing and showering facilities.

Fantastic experience: I’m here after work usually after midnight. The kit is good, the music vibes, and I always feel welcomed whenever I come in to ask any issue during day light hours.

Fantastic experience: Been at anytime fitness for 2 years now, throughout my time the staff has been friendly and helpful. I’m always provided with a happy and judgement free environment to workout in and is definitely a place where beginners or experienced gym attendees can feel comfortable.

Positive experience: A cracking wee gym. I was visiting for a week and managed to get some great workouts here. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. There's plenty of showers and even hairdryers and straighteners for the girls. I only dropped a star as I'd like heavier machines and more of them but considering the space available this gym has done well. This will definitely be my first choice when revisiting Bath.

Positive experience: A very impressive setup. Central location in Bath, right next to parking facilities There is a wide range of machines and freeweights. The gym is very safe and secure, and not crowded. Staff are on hand, know their members well, and are always friendly.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym- I've never been somewhere with staff so willing to help and so friendly too! Excellently stocked with a good variety of equipment (and importantly for me, treadmills that go up to 20kph). Also has the best changing rooms and showers (with variable temperatures) of any gym I've been to.

Positive experience: Good location and great variety of equipment. Only down point is that it attracts a certain clientele who behave as though they're exclusive members. Typically, this manifests in ppl leaving their bags indefinitely by certain equipment, whilst using something else. Very irritating

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym since May 2021 and wouldn't have a single negative thing to say about it : the staff is super helpful and lovely, the facilities and equipment are great and always clean, and the atmosphere is nice. I just moved away from Bath and I truly miss the gym already.

Fantastic experience: 24/7 open so you can workout as and when you want. Wifi included for all members. This place gives you a feel to actually workout

Negative experience: Uff … well my experience with this place is a strange one … i had a contract with them which finish in 2020 (after I cancel due to no usage since 2019 ) … in July 2021 from suddenly 3 payments were taken from my bank account… i try to sort the problem out with them and i hit a big wall … missing of cctv footage where can check it wasen’t me using the keyfob( mention here the key was returned after i finish my contract ) , some invented stories and so on no refunds for my money … i was verry hyped about the place even recomanded to a few friends when i joined and bring them with me to this 24h gym … but after all … i will tell my story to everyone who asked for a gym :(

Fantastic experience: Friendly gym with plenty of equipment and good facilities. Slightly smaller than other gyms but haven't noticed a problem with it.

Positive experience: Pricy but convenient in town. Facilities were always clean and it had all you could want, with the obvious exception of saunas and pools. It's now not the only 24/7 gym in Bath, so you could definitely work out for cheaper with a competitor, which personally I would recommend.

Negative experience: The size of the gym is very small, limited amount of dumbells and not worth the price. You are better off trying a different gym with better value for money.

Fantastic experience: Never too busy, the selection of equipment isn't incredibly high, but you never have to wait long to use any of it. Would definitely recommend.

Positive experience: The experience I've had with the gym is mixed. First of all the facilities are brilliant and the staff were helpful in the gym. I couldn't fault that. Same when it came to communication for freezing my membership when I was hospitalised. The pandemic has effected everyone and I appreciate that people are working twice as hard. But I didn't appreciate that after emailing I've not received a response for almost a month. When I phoned I was told the correct person to sort things wasn't in and to phone another day or email again. Then phoning today I was sent a link to cancel by a helpful new girl. Surely contradicts what I was previously told on the phone. Because of the time taken, I've been charged another month's fee for having my closest gym 29 miles away. Like I've said, I appreciate that everyone is trying their hardest, but this amount of time seems a little obscene. Especially at a time when most are being very money conscious.

Fantastic experience: Great gym as its in the centre of Bath. The staff are friendly and always keen to help. Good amount of space and equipment to use. I would highly recommend.

Negative experience: I signed up for a class and the instructor did not let me attend the class because I was 2 minutes late and told me they "had already started"

Positive experience: Great gym in central Bath. It's pretty small so it can be hard to get in the free weight area in the evenings between say 5pm and 9pm but outside of those hours I'd definitely recommend this gym. It's also really expensive but it's Bath so no surprises there.

Negative experience: Didn’t make me aware I owed any charges or try to get in contact with me. Sent a debt collector a few years later. Dodgy business

Negative experience: Why would they have carpets in the floors of a gym?? People are sweating all over it!! Also the music is always way too loud , i like to listen to audio books while I work out and can't hear it over the sound of the music. Most people who want to listen to music bring their own so playing it in the gym is just distracting and annoying. The staff are lovely so nothing against them though. The gym is just badly designed. Seriously. Carpets!? That's just unhygienic.

Fantastic experience: On holiday in Somerset for a few days so are visiting Bath. I didn't pop in myself but was told by my boyfriend that this is one of the best Anytime's he's been to, and he's been to quiet a few!

Fantastic experience: The best Anytime Fitness I’ve been to! Been to heaps of these all over the world (London, Melbourne, Europe) and was so impressed with the cleanliness of the equipment, the friendliness of the staff and how well they’d utilised such a small space! Spoke with Callum who was a legend, would happily recommend this branch to anybody!

Negative experience: It was a great gym until the current manager took it over and it's now the most disgusting gym I have ever been to. It's so unhygienic, there are no paper towels to wipe down machines. There is no sanitizer in the bath rooms.

Negative experience: Nice gym but lacks pool and sauna of nearby FitnessFirst. Outrageously expensive: £8 month more expensive than sister Bristol gyms and more expensive than its central London cousins.
