Positive experience: I don't go to PureGym at all, but I'm a regular customer at Wickes. I find it very annoying sometimes not to be able to park my van there because of all the Gym customers. I know it's probably a shared car park but can't we have it segregated a little better?

Negative experience: Way too hot always got the heating on which is completely unnecessary One bench press in the whole gym. Ridiculous Music way too loud, and awful

Fantastic experience: I joined PureGym a month ago and I am loving it. The classes are fabulous with knowledgeable instructors who are motivating. They create great workouts which are varied (no 2 weeks are the same) and are adaptable for those that require it.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy the early morning classes and the instructors are really friendly

Positive experience: I enjoy visiting PureGym in Northallerton; the kit is new and always in good order, you are generally left alone to do your own thing and there's always someone around if you need help. I find it more enjoyable going when it's emptier as it's a small gym and can easily become too busy with 30-odd people in. Classes run daily, and PTs are around if needs be

Positive experience: Good Gym with everything you need. I was just in Northallerton for a few days and used them on my stay. The staff were super friendly. However as someone who uses Anytime Fitness I found this gym a little less refined. I also expect to have more equipment. But the equipment they had did the job. Yes I would go again.

Positive experience: Great gym coukd use a few more types of equipment for 5 star: 1) Assault bike by the free weights 2) Hack squat machine 3) One more free weight barbell rack with safety pins. With only 1, its often taken. 4) Fridge for protein shakes isnt working, drinks come out warm

Positive experience: A nice layout and pleasant staff. However, the equipment is a little bit too limited - it could do with more specific machines such as a hack squat for example.

Negative experience: Small and not a lot of equipment for the price

Positive experience: I joined this gym recently has I now work away so don’t have access to my normal home gym. I tend to go early in the morning around 05:30 ish at which time there is a steady flow of people but still good access to most of the equipment and if you do have to wait for a bit of kit it’s not for long. The free weights area is quite spacious but I find the area that contains most of the cable machines a little cramped but not that bad that you can’t work out. Because I leave the gym and go straight to work I have to shower and change in the gym, the showers bases aren’t the cleanest so I would advise taking flip flops I found it to be quite an off putting experience . All in all it’s quite a good gym if your able to pop home for a shower

Negative experience: Probably the worst gym iv been to for the size of it not much equipment expensive for a day pass awful atmosphere didn't enjoy at all

Positive experience: Modern and well kept equipmen. However, there is not much floor space to warm up and cool down.

Positive experience: Why is a 24/7 gym that needs no staff not open on xmas eve and xmas day? That is super annoying. But This is actually a good little gym. Has what you need - plenty of dumbells, a rig with multiple barbells, plenty of treadmills, couple of rowers, weight machines for various muscle groups, various benches, 1 squat rack and 1 Smith machine. It's also got an upstairs area for classes and if you wanted more space to work on your own or something. It's also got a little prowler run, kettlebells, medicine balls and a decent selection of boxes. So yeah a good little gym. It's not quite as good as the northallerton leisure centres gym imo but it's half the price and you can go to most pure gyms. No comparison to the York pure gym but it's like a quarter of the size so good for its size.

Positive experience: Nice staff, very clean & spacious. As an experienced gym goer there is a noticeable difference in the variety of machines. For example no alternative squat pattern machine such as a hack/pendulum, no leg extension so no machine to work the quad in the shortened position, as a commercial gym I would have expected the basic machines but hopefully in time they’ll be added? If you’re after a good workout you can definitely have an effective workout here but if you’re on a bodybuilding route you may struggle.

Fantastic experience: 1st visit but very impressed

Positive experience: Puregym Northallerton has some great new matrix equipment, however it is a bit too small for a commercial gym. I've found that it does not have enough for multiple members at one time. It could do with a slightly larger unit. For example there is only 1 Smith machine.

Positive experience: Very Poor Customer service: was told on opening that legcurl/extension machines were due to arrive July, then August and now staff have no idea when they are due! Why did it open with out the standard machines you find in the other puregym's? Not good enough it's false advertising......

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym with a good sized, and stylish studio. Great atmosphere, and all the staff are friendly. There’s definitely room for more equipment in the future, especially upstairs, but It would be nice to have more cardio machines. My only critiques are the external lighting, or lack of during the night as it’s extremely dark in the car park/road leading up to the gym itself, and the toilets, and showers could maybe do with more regular cleans

Fantastic experience: Great gym! It has 24-hour access at a price that isn't extortionate, which really benefits me given how busy my job can be. The classes are great too. I have never really done gym classes before, but I have done three different ones here (Bootcamp, Strength 30, Burn It) and I would recommend all of them
