Negative experience: Very overcrowded weight-lifting area
Hi Oli, thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We’re afraid it's true, our gyms are very popular and so can become busy, especially at peak times. The busyness of the gym does fluctuate throughout the day, or depending on the day of the week and you can check how busy the gym is before attending on your PureGym app. Thanks, PureGym
Fantastic experience: I have been going this gym since february, i have progressed quiet well considering i could be more consistent.. The gym has all the equipment to progress well in, compound lifts or bodybuilding type exercises. The pts are nice and keep to themselves. The main problem in this gym is customers dumping weights everywhere or leaving their weights on the machines/bars especially leg press. The people at the gym are genrally nice, never had a direct bad experience with anyone. Best times to go are from 9-4 throughout week and saturday and sunday are the quietest days. Avoid monday 5pm-7pm, turned around for a second to grab a 1.25kg plate for skullcrushers and someone stole my EZ bar within a second lol. Gym is cheap starts at 17.99 and pt sessions are quite cheap aswell if you need one.

Negative experience: Iam not going to pay even day longer for this disgusting gym, mens toilet smells so bad its impossible to change, no cleaners no cleaning products in use at all, equipment is so old it barely works? Half of the treadmills are just faulty wtf is this?

Positive experience: I went in as a seven stone weakling and came out as quasi modo ringing in my ears a large hump on my back.

Negative experience: I did not go to pure gym I’m just posting this to stop getting bloody notifications about it!!!
Positive experience: Decent gym but the abs class instructor has failed to show twice now although he has been on site on each occasion. A bit unprofessional.

Positive experience: It’s a well equipped gym, 2 floors, with reasonable people. I only go on Saturday and Sundays. Got showers. My only issue is the class session are right next to non class gym section and when they are blasting their music, it’s all you can hear.

Positive experience: Standard pure gym. Generally fine, good value for money, does the job, no major issues at all. Same problems as any pure gym - occasionally equipment is broken and not fixed for a few days, lack of sunlight, loud classes with no separating wall, bad music, musty moldy smell due to lack of ventilation.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. Positive experience: Good range of equipment. Really needs better air conditioning as it's very sweaty upstairs. Weights section downstairs is very cramped. Really could do with expanding or at least a second weights area woth more equipment

Negative experience: I m at the gym now at 16:45 on a Tuesday and there are at least 4 underage kids in the gym using weights and machines. This is highly irresponsible from the management. I can’t add photos as they are kids.

Negative experience: Racism and Assaults at this gym. Ive been a witness to and a victim of racism and assault at this gym on a number of occasions. I escalated to management and the "safe space" team. They will say they have zero tolerance to incidents but you will still see the perpetrators at the gym. They also dont have sufficient CCTV and blind spots so you will be assaulted without evidence. Management at this gym are not only incompetent but also by ignoring their zero tolerance policy they make the gym a dangerous place for both staff and customers.
Negative experience: Horrible company
Fantastic experience: I attended the Legs Bum and Tums class. The trainer Oliver carried everyone along and kept motivation and energy levels at a great level throughout the session. Keep it up!

Positive experience: Overall experience is not bad. But there is no kettle bell, also if the scale is placed inside the changing room would be more convenient, as the measure cannot be accurate when you have to wear sweaty t-shirt to measure your weight.

Positive experience: Overall experience is good. It's a clean gym with good facilities. The only problem I see is some machines may not work like treadmills. The changing rooms and toilets are kept clean and the experience is great.

Fantastic experience: clean gym & a very good work out. i was by myself having a really good workout but sadly shortened because off my shoulder popped out but was luckily spotted by oliver speakman. he calmed the situation down & popped it back in for me & continued first aid. i went to A&E for a check up on it and the doctor said i was lucky that he seen me because he did the perfect job. would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Took advantage of one day free pass unable to go again this year to use the other two days free
Negative experience: Very concerned about an incident I witnessed a week ago. I was walking down the stairs from the upper level and witnessed an Asian male block a white girl from walking down the stairs. He then started to call her a slag and tell her that her clothes are inappropriate for the gym. She had leggings on and normal girl gym clothes. The next day I spoke to har and she told me this person waited outside the gym for her and continued to shout at her and be very aggressive calling her a slag and teling her clothes are inappropriate. She has reported this incident to the police but pure gym have not even barred this person. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR FROM THE MANAGEMENT AT PURE GYM. I have now cancelled my membership. I'm very interested to see what the response in from the manager at puregym they are well aware of thus incident as the police have spoken to them.

Negative experience: I have been in this gym for several months now, my experiences include having my belongings stolen twice in the locker room and this time argue with a rude woman and complain on me caused my membership to be suspended, disgusting. As far as I am concerned, why the manager and hir assistant should help a member in particular, maybe they are taking bribes or something and doing something illegal.

Positive experience: Decent gym to reach health goals. But no focus on refilling the hand gels, anti bacterial sprays to clean the machines. Even the Hand sanitizer machine doesn't work upstairs (last time I went). Lastly, even in the day time, staff is very limited.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic stretch class on Sundays. Really targets the the right muscle groups. Would love this class to be 45 minutes long.

Negative experience: Generally maintained well enough for a budget gym but massively oversubscribed and constant efforts to push this further as with all ‘value’ gyms The worst thing - the gym has not had proper functioning air conditioning for over a year. Really poor and the gym gets incredibly warm unless it’s sub-zero outside as there’s not really any windows to allow for ventilation even

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Positive experience: Decent gym but hardly ever any cleaning stuff, towels always running out and only one station per floor with cleaning spray.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this gym. I attend the early morning classes. The PT's taking these classes are great!! The class content is good, they often change it up and you can do two back to back!!

Fantastic experience: Just done Doms burn it class which as always gives you a really good workout simple but effective. Today's was body weight based and proves you dont need alot of equipment
