Jetts 24HR Gym Wigan

Fantastic experience: Love this place.. great location and equipment yet not crowded.

Negative experience: Don't park on the so called free carpark. Received a parking ticket. Owner will not help you to sort it out. Cost Me £100 .

Negative experience: Small gym but you can find everything you need.Staff is not happy to help.I didn't even have induction when signed in. Very dusty equipment, seems not cleaned at all.

Negative experience: Pros - 24 hour, location, price is average Cons - there's always something broke and takes forever to get fixed, too much cardio equipment and not enough weight machines (about 5 cross trainers no one ever uses, treadmills I've seen a maximum of 3 people use at peak times, bikes I've seen 2 people on at once - so theres about 17 cardio equipment that 80% of just collects dust), big cage in the middle I've seen used 3 times in 3 years, never any staff in so if you've a problem with your card or parking etc good luck, got too busy on evenings so I had to start coming in the morning, only 1 of most resistance machines, 3 cable machines but 1 is always out of action, tvs don't work on cardio equipment and haven't in a very long time, the music is bloody awful , loads of lockers are out of action, needs money spent on it its getting very grubby (locks on bathroom doors look dodge, tiles missing in disable toilets, lockers broke, equipment broke, shower screens have seen better days etc etc) it's long over due a refurb. Only staff member that's consistent is the cleaner and she's lovely. Must have seen over 10 PTs come and go over the last couple of years so I'd assume the pay isn't great too? I'm legit only still coming to this gym because of it location. Everything else is pretty dyer to be honest.

Positive experience: Standard gym only let down it has bo suna or steam room

Negative experience: Don’t join the gym if you are looking for a flexible monthly option. They offer a more expensive option that is avoids a 12-month contract but you can only cancel with 30 days notice. This is entirely unreasonable as in practice it means you will always pay an additional month when you want to leave unless you write to them on the an exact specific day in the month. In terms of the gym, Pros - can be quieter than some gyms Cons - a bit shabby, poor hygeine (the hand sanitiser was rarely refilled) and very small (make sure you see it beforehand). But remember, if you are signing up for flexibility, you’ll likely have to pay a whole month for nothing unless you are super organised and write on the specific day. That policy leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Negative experience: Joke of a gym be careful parking on the car park for parking fines, got 3 parking fines for parking there a few year back as the registration machine was not working, now I’m having to go to court, the gym did nothing to help, absolute shambles.

Negative experience: I'm not good at judging at the moment. I went for the first time and got up at 3.40 at night and I couldn't use the card to go in. dew error I activated my time in the normal program. Maybe next time will be good,I hope so.

Positive experience: It's a decent gym but that's about it. Overall it doesn't represent value for money at £24.99 a month. It's a very small gym and very limited on weight machines. However, the free weight area and lifting platforms are better. Due to the lack of space it's impossible to offer a variety of classes, I think they do a boot camp style class a few times a week. Since it first opened not much has changed and very little investment has been made on facilities/equipment. Its big selling point was that it was Wigan's only 24hr Gym, but it's even lost this status due to another gym in the area operating 24 hours. It's location is central to Wigan Town Centre which is very convenient and handy. There are parking facilities right outside the gym but occasionally it can be an issue if the dedicated gym car park is full, there is additional parking but is chargeable if outside the gym's dedicated parking area. The staff has changed over the years but they have always been friendly and helpful. I'm still a member of the gym simply due to location, but would explore other options if I had the option to travel further afield.

Fantastic experience: Has everything you need, when ever you need it, speaks for its self

Positive experience: Cheapest gym in the area, open 24 hours, fairly well equipped, enough to cover all the areas you want to cover anyway. If youre a bodybuilder you'll probably want more options but can't go wrong for a general gym. The PTs are all nice and helpful when needed. Lighting isn't great overall, for some reason the main lights have been out for over a year at the free weight section making it a bit dark, only really an issue for wanting to see your gains though!

Positive experience: I have only been twice, so don't have a lot of experience with the gym, it does have a lot going for it, it is open 24 hours, great value for money, awsome punchbag and the farmers plough, it doesn't have a seated calf machine, which is a shame, but this isn't enough to put one off the gym. Will consider joining in the New Year!!

Positive experience: A gym that's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the town centre is great! Good location, you get up to 2 hours free parking by entering your car registration into the terminal inside the gym, and the equipment is top notch. There are 4 private changing rooms and 3 unisex toilets. There is also a disabled changing/shower room but currently no way of anyone who is in a wheelchair to be able to access the gym as there is a step up from the pavement into the gym, and the doors do not open automatically. There are no leisure facilities such as swimming pool, sauna etc. I haven't given this a 5 star rating as the gym only recently opened and is awaiting a couple more things before it's finished, such as hairdryers and the underfloor heating in the changing rooms. The only other thing that I would say is that the regular membership price of £34.95 per month is too expensive compared to other gyms in Wigan that have much more facilities (steam room, sauna etc), and are cheaper per month. This gym classes itself as a boutique gym purely based on the fact that they have private changing rooms. In my eyes this is just a mechanism to charge more for what is, in most people's opinion, a regular gym.
