PureGym Gloucester Quedgeley

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of pure gym Quedgeley for 2 years and visited usually 3 times a week. The gym is always very tidy and machines clean . When a machine is out of order it takes less than a week before it’s mended. I’m leaving pure gym due to change of workplace which is a shame as I really enjoyed my time here. Well done pure gym

Negative experience: A small gym with missing clips on the cable machines for ages plus only 2 plastic D handles waiting on peak time to finish your workout you need at least 2 hours! The only think the managers care about is to fill up the self service machines! That makes money for them ! Sad

Positive experience: The gym is always very tidy. Equipment looks new and taken care of. However the gym is quiet small so it can be a bit of a struggle at peak times

Positive experience: Groups of Teenagers usually all between 2 machines for about an hour , teens wearing birkenstocks around the gym talk about health and safety haha.

Positive experience: A good gym with lots of equipment but is let down by its small interior space. Definitely go in off-peak hours.

Negative experience: It was very basic when I went and smelt of sewage. It was also very busy waiting for equipment

Fantastic experience: Lovely PureGym! Great space, clean, organised, usually not too crowded. Changing room always pretty clean. I haven't taken the classes yet but from what I've seen they seem like a lot of fun and a great way to not skip cardio

Positive experience: While I like PureGym as a whole, I wanted to come on here purely to complain about the app. It’s slow, doesn’t remember your card details so every time you buy a pass you have to enter you details again, it doesn’t track workouts accurately and the QR option doesn’t always appear. If you want to be a day pass after using one the day before it doesn’t give you the option to restart your membership meaning you have to go to the website to start the whole process again

Fantastic experience: Went here to lift some heavy stuff ended up lifting some heavy stuff, pretty crazy. It's a gym and you can exercise here, you can also drink water and breathe.

Positive experience: Cheap gym, quite small but the kit is always in good order, changing facilities spotless. Just plan visits especially around peak times!

Negative experience: No way to know it was shut, didn’t say online. Treat your customers better.

Negative experience: Average gym, 7 kids on one machine like the usual. Ideal if you’re starting gym and it’s your first month

Fantastic experience: Always clean and any machine that's breaks is very quickly fixed

Positive experience: As far as a gym and classes go, it's fab! But memberships could be better. I find the classes I like, I can't do on my lower membership. Although to begin with, I could, then the times changed outside my membership time a few months into it. Now I'm stuck with the same selection unless I upgrade. Otherwise, I can't complain. It's a great gym on our doorstep!

Fantastic experience: Its a great gym .. still too early for me. Havent used all the equipments. One lat pull machine was broken at the gym. Dnt knw if they will fix it. Just been here 2 days. So far so good.

Positive experience: I've been going to PureGym in Gloucester for on and off nearly 2 years now. The access is fab that you can come and go when you want with either the QR code on the app or the code that you can memorise, which I have not done! I tend to only go in and use the cross trainer, but the machines are SOOOO close together you are practically touching the person next to you with your elbows. I have actually left at least twice because I felt so uncomfortable with the none existant distances. This is also compounded by the fact that the two cross trainers at either end have the ability to be angled so I don't use those in case someone wants to use them for that purpose, so I always take the second one in. It might be worth moving the angled cross trainers both at the mirrored end to avoid to many empty cross trainers. Other than that they have a fab selection off classes on and offline.

Fantastic experience: Very good gym well spaced environment plenty of equipment to use

Negative experience: Planty of cardio equipment and only one Bench for Bench press,always waiting for it

Positive experience: Good gym - all the usual equipment/weights. It does get extremely busy 5-7pm.

Positive experience: Great place to workout. It's a little claustrophobic as it's a small space but they do have a lot of machines. Cleaners are always about working hard to keep it all clean and you can see people cleaning the machines once they've finished. Classes are way too loud the PTs need to use a mic so they can be heard instead of just turning the music down. But, Overall I'm happy working out there.

Negative experience: no phone number available so can not inquire with members of staff further to your reply, since the pandemic why would it be more beneficial to do a face to face instead of a phonecall. I'm trying to ascertain a few things, I've been a member for almost a month and still haven't stepped foot in your gym.

Fantastic experience: Great place to be in free time

Negative experience: Good gym but very crammed! With the tall warehouse height surely a 2-floor gym would have been more suitable? Hopefully a plan for expanding is in the pipework but for now with how busy it can get, it's difficult to get the equipment you need.

Positive experience: Other than the gym seeming to be a little cramped its a nice place to work out, Good variety of free weights and machines. Showers and changing rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. Just dont know if id go at peak times as i dont like waiting to get on equipment

Positive experience: A bit small for the size of the population in the area meaning you can be waiting around for equipment no matter what time you go. Apart from that it's clean and the staff are good. There are a lot worse places!

Fantastic experience: Great place to come and work out was a bit worried about joining a gym but made to feel welcome had a great induction session and my worries are a thing of the past great staff nice members and a clean gym what more could you want .

Positive experience: Open 24/7, and good equipment, but can be very busy at times. Only 3 shows. Could be better considering the base price (now £22 / month).

Positive experience: I have a Pure Gym Plus membership so i can attend multiple gyms, this has to be my least favourite in Gloucester. Compared to the Eastern Avenue gym this site is so cramped and just seems everything has been squashed in and there's no privacy when working out! Would be better if there was a second floor for separate machines.. also the studio has a mesh side so everyone can see you working out.. Pure Gym staff, equipment, cleaning and showers are great! just don't like how compact this site is.

Fantastic experience: Love it. My only one concern is that the showers has no cold water... only hot water is running, and there is to mixer with which you could adjust it. I juts love a nice and cold shower after my workout.

Positive experience: Clean, quite spacous now social distance have been removed,but good that there is antibacterial liquid and paper towels still available.

Positive experience: Unfriendly vibes, high chav count, and quite tight for space. Positives: new equipment, free parking. Negatives: clientelle, not enough running machines, tight of space.

Positive experience: Cute little gym which isn't too intimidating, and the staff on the floor were really helpful. Major downside in that it was absolutely packed, and I only saw one other person wearing a mask. Half the sweaty patrons weren't using the sanitising stations (that is bad enough even when there isn't a pandemic on). Given how gross people are, they need to be limiting the safe maximum number- I would have rather been turned away because they are full but at least known it was safe.

Positive experience: Little bit small compared to others in the area, but enough of a selection of kit to not make it an issue. Never been too busy as to make training awkward

Positive experience: Nice place but too small for 90 peaople capacity. No enough equipments for 90 people capacity. And the water in the showers is sooo hot guys. I cannot breath showering my head..... You need to reduce that or to leave the people to set up the water.

Fantastic experience: Gym is immaculate, really nice vibe. Staff really welcoming. You can tell once covid restrictions are lifted, it will be very spacious.
