Positive experience: Got a free 3 day pass though due to work commitments only managed one day. Have not been to this gym(or any for that matter) for 8 years but I enjoyed my experience today getting a good hour of cardio done on the stepper,rowing machine and treadmill Rocky style with blood sweat and tears! Lol. Plenty of equipment to use and a nice calm atmosphere. A few members of staff on hand to help with any questions who were pleasent and approachable. Nice changing and shower facilities. Only slight downside were a few gym users strutting around like they owned the place having loud conversations in changing area on there phones with speaker on using language and talking about things that the rest of us really don't need to be hearing about though you will always get people like this so it has not put me off what was a good experience at puregym. I may take up a membership as was a good free day to test the water. A solid 4 out of 5

Fantastic experience: Well worth it. Opened 24/7 and it's got all of the equipment needed. Showers and changing rooms are nice and clean as well.

Negative experience: A particular PT who works with this company needs to be sacked immediately!! Displays inappropriate behaviour to females that in a sexual/grooming way and is crossing the barriers of a professional relationship in an unlawful way , I'm leaving this review at the moment without naming the individual until I contact the company myself and this Man , he has made females feel very uncomfortable and asked personal sexual questions and tried to move his relationship from a professional level to a personal level, if anyone has a young daughter do not sent them to Puregym for private PT sessions , disgusting behaviour and police will be made aware . !!

Positive experience: Good, big space. The kit has bells or whistles, or TV, but it's in good condition. Lots of space in the changing rooms, plenty of lockers. It may be quite basic but it is good value

Negative experience: Really cheap equipment , poor gym layout, lots of unhygienic members that stink of body odour, it's like stepping back in a time machine compared to a modern gym like JD

Negative experience: Simply gave up with this gym . Have done there feedback n complained about the volume of music n classes . Last 2 visits before I cancelled my membership. 1 membership of staff walked in n turned the music volume right up to what they wanted not what customers want . 2nd visit I thought a class was on board was up heavy metal blasting away but could not hear staff or customer's. It was 1 of there staff only playing there own music loudly . So tvs on playing music, they then blast music when class on or off now , so now u can't hear the TV music . I can't wear headphones cause i cant hear them due to the level the staff put music on .but the staff do what they want no wonder the place is dead . Yes I did put this on feedback but no reply must ave been to busy listening to there music Sept 21st 23
Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave this review! Staff do regular cleaning checks in the gym and we have dedicated cleaning teams who come each day to carry out. Of course, during peak times it can be difficult for us to compete all cleaning routines, however as soon as it is possible our staff will complete all procedures and checks. Positive experience: This was a pretty decent gym to go to. The equipment is slightly older than I’ve seen in the Glasgow PureGym’s but all seems well maintained and works just fine. The only things keeping it from being 5/5 were that it felt stuffy when I was there and the showers are rubbish. Usable but more water comes out the buttons than the shower heads. A great gym if you’re local, with good equipment and easy access from parking. I’d go again if I’m in the area.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our providers to ensure that our facilities are fixed as soon as possible, if anything should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. Thanks, PureGym

Negative experience: Only just joined this place, but it's kind of claustrophobic - the weights area is not at all what you'd call 'roomy', and the guidance and instruction on how to use machines doesn't exist. However it is very convenient if you live locally and don't like the atmosphere of a steroid infused beefcake gym.

Positive experience: No atmosphere and serious lack of customer interaction from the staff. In saying that, the place does what it says on the tin. Some of the equipment could be doing with an upgrade. Avoid at peak times. Your workout will suffer as you struggle to find a machine/barbell to use

Fantastic experience: Clean, excellent facilities. Staff helpful and very friendly.
Positive experience: Equipment etc seems fine. Changing areas could be better. Turn a couple of the toilet cubicles into an actual changing facility, all of those toilets will never be in use at the one time, changing room would be much better. Classes are ok. Some I've been to have been taking by instructors with plenty of energy which rubs off. Other classes have been taken by very quiet timid instructors, the lack of energy has made the class boring.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym, plenty of machines to choose from. Dose get really busy at times where there's about 100 people in at one time but if you use the website/app it allows you to see how many people in the gym at that time which i find helpful.

Fantastic experience: Good gym with an easy to use app to see how many people are in.
Positive experience: Great gym with lots of equipment and classes available, but it's disgusting how many people don't wipe down the equipment in this gym and it's sometimes really bad for members not putting stuff away when they're finished with it so the gym can look very messy at times. I have seen staff clearing up after them but more signs or penalties could be considered for members who leave mess or sweat stains

We made a conscious decision as a company to not provide wipes so we could reduce waste from all our gyms. This said, we will highlight this issue in the hope this is looked at ASAP. Fantastic experience: Wouldn't workout anywhere else
Positive experience: Great gym for beginners, intermediates or advanced lifters. I like how the staff understand that there will be noise from heavy deadlifts at a certain weight no matter how slow you lower the bar. Some gyms think you are intentionally trying to slam the weights.
Positive experience: Would have been 5 stars as the gym lay out, equipment, staff and value for money all get a thumbs up. Two stars off for the one important (my emphasis) thing that really annoys me - I, like most users, have my own music with me, the gym always has it's own background music, which is bearable. The big problem is when the spin classes are on upstairs. The volume is so unacceptably loud given that the studio is so close to the CV workout area. I find myself having to put my ipod volume up to its maximum level. Not good for the ears!!

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. no pestering by staff , but they are very helpful when needed. being 24 hours makes it great for those on long shifts or those that need to work around childcare. classes offered are extensive and varied times. great easy to use and well labelled equipment. As a large lady, the gym has seemed daunting in the past, I have never been made to feel out of place here or been stared at by anyone. the clientele are just happy to go in and get on with their workouts. upstairs has a large cardio area with spin room and changing facilities as well as a few weights machines, downstairs is accessible by both stairs and elevator and has more weight machines, a vibraplate, accessible studio for floor work when classes are not on, and a separate free weight area. excellent gym and for less than £20 for a membership you really cant go wrong.

Fantastic experience: Well looked after and clean
Negative experience: I was a member for many years but the past year and a half its went down hill, an influx of bullies attending the gym, several in which have attempted to bully me yet when I stand up for myself I'm being made out to be the bad guy yet these toxic individuals decide not to disclose the conduct towards me, I would truly recommend not to attend this gym
Positive experience: Nice gym... air con doesn't need to be that cold

Fantastic experience: Free parking up to 2 hours and 24/7. Changed from my old gym to this one as my working hours mean I can only work out late. Friendly atmosphere and lots of machines available.

Positive experience: 2h free parking. Could be more space for free weights. Overcrowded after 4pm.

Negative experience: great gym except for idiots hogging equipment whilst on mobile phones its a gym go and train not sit on your f***ing phone

Fantastic experience: Good clean environment friendly staff has lots of equipment to suffice to your personal training needs close to all amenities and optional free classes.

Positive experience: Decent gym with lots of equipment and classes. Biggest downfall is lack of air con, place is always roasting which makes working out uncomfortable especially spin classes. Staff are all really friendly and helpful

Fantastic experience: Lots of machines
Positive experience: Morning classes are kind of quiet when I visit. There seems to be a relaxation on the cleaning of kit after use, I did not see many people cleaning or encouraged to clean.
Negative experience: Been a member for a while and it is somewhat impossible to get on any equipment there is not enough area and not enough equipment, running machines upstairs if we come in around 9pm ish half of them are switched off not catering for the fact it's getting busier and it is off putting .. and also the cleanliness of the weights and machines is a worry no one washes them down and people who use them should after use I have to use hand gel to clean before and after as there is no blue roll or spray to wash it down its increasing gotten worse

Our gyms are very popular and can become busy, especially at peak times! The busyness does fluctuate throughout the day, and from day-to-day. We have implemented a section to the website and the app which informs our members how many people are in the gym at that time and a graph to show the previous busyness of the gym on certain dates for comparison which we have found has really helped our members plan their workouts!
