Atlantic Reach Gym and Leisure Centre

Fantastic experience: Visited Pirate Petes soft play area with 2 Yr old granddaughter. Lovely seating area, lots of activities for children (slides, ball pool, etc) Will definitely be returning.

Negative experience: Working here for a year nearby they will only let locals join stupid to turn away money

Positive experience: We went to inquire about swimming pool opening times. Very confusing and also they give priority to gym members. So there are minimal places for the general public. Won't be going back

Negative experience: the most terrible pool. stinks terribly. a ten-year-old child was not allowed in the pool without armbands, and the appropriate size was not available. the money was not returned. never recommend to anyone. the child's day off was ruined

Positive experience: Good selection of equipment, all though it was all positioned very close together in my humble opinion ….. ok if you want to be friendly I guess, for me I prefer a bit more space between equipment and a few less people about … plenty of people obviously love it so I must be in the minority as it was busy on my visit … give it a try and you make your own mind up, worth a visit

Positive experience: Pool was lovely and had great time , but did see a mother trying to change her baby on a bench, you really need a baby changing area please

Fantastic experience: I only came here to charge my EV, but the staff are super helpful and friendly. Went above and beyond trying to help me when another person was hogging the charging point. I will seriously consider becoming a member as they have a wide range of facilities and activities!

Positive experience: You can use outdoor swimming pool all day, there's leisure centre available but you have to book for indoor swimming pool, some parts of the resort does cover Internet but there are very good beaches around.

Negative experience: Lovely cafe very limited shop very limited ridiculous prices for swimming £20 per day or £90 per week for oaps. No us service to Newquay only on way back would Not come back

Positive experience: Nice leisure facilities, and a good café, but there always seems to be a problem with ICED EV charging spaces. I did manage to squeeze my car within cable reach, and the guy who blocked me was very apologetic and moved his van when he saw me, but the EV charging spaces (the 7kW ones) could be marked better.

Fantastic experience: there is nothing wrong with the Gym & the staff are great they show you how to use the Equipment :)

Negative experience: Would rate zero but doesn't let you, because you aren't instantly made aware that you need to be residing in an affiliated holiday home to use the facility, they refuse to allow you to pay rates to use and ban as you it isn't fair on those in affiliated homes, it was empty when I was there, someone needs to learn a proper business plan for a heavily tourist orientated town, will find somewhere helpful to use over our holiday

Negative experience: Support the smaller gyms... not these guys. I joined Atlantic reach after moving here from the Gold Coast Australia. I was so excited as I’d done my research and this gym seemed to be the best option from what is around the newquay area, and from the standard and quality of gyms back in Australia. When I signed up at the front desk, I provided all of my details ( the elderly ladies on the desk weren’t entirely helpful ) .. I provided my bank details for the direct debit option that I had chosen. NO ONE told me that the Monzo bank wasn’t a bank that they preferred not to work with, no one flagged me on it.. not a word said. After using the gym for the first month I was waiting on the direct debit to come through on my Monzo app. Nothing.... so I stopped using the gym as the payments had stopped. I waited a few weeks.. still nothing. When the second month came around Atlantic reach direct debited 3 months worth of membership at 1 time.. that was 120£ Including ( late fees ) that they took at once.... I was in shock! I straight away contacted Atlantic reach and was passed from person to person .. no one giving me a straight answer. Untill I emailed the owner Charlotte. I explained the situation and Charlotte IN WRITING agreed to pay back half of the amount debited. They said the reason for the stunted direct debits was because of the bank Monzo. As I agreed it was a mistake on both our behalf’s. After weeks of not receiving payment or any communication when asked if they would follow through with what they agreed too. I disputed the situation with monzo. I’ve ended up with nothing. I’ve never experienced such unprofessional behaviour and money hungry people. They should have contacted me if my direct debits weren’t making it through the first month, and that Monzo wasn’t their preferred bank to debit from. I was Devistated.. and still am that they took my money without any communication still to repay what they agreed too. I wouldn’t recommend them guys... not at all.

Positive experience: Our place was nice but the deco I little dated, good space in the apartment needs blinds on the windows NO WIFI only in the pub, didn't see a bus for trips to town. Well it was just after the lockdown
