Snap Fitness Trowbridge

Positive experience: An ok gym, but its showing its age, when equipment's are broken it takes ages before its properly fixed. And they're usually critical equipment's so I would have to do something else to compensate. Its not very big so peak hours is almost impossible to get onto any equipment and is pretty cramped.

Positive experience: It's not a bad gym. I've been going to lots of gyms all over the country this gym is clean it has everything you need and the layout isn't awful. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because it's very basic, even though it has everything you need for a competent workout it has no variety. I like a gym where you have a few machines that allow you to work muscle groups in different ways so you can have more full rounded workout plans. If you are planning a long gym journey you need to have variety and for that a variety of machines allows for that to be offered to you rather than you having to create it with the Same machines. The gym is not very large when it's busy it feels very cramped I don't always feel comfortable showering just because of how small the corridor is outside the shower. Overall it just makes the vibes for this gym very mundane with dark red colours on all the walls a staff that are not helpful in any smshape or form it's not a fulfilling gym environment. If you go to anytime fitness this is the opposite getting the most out of your membership isn't just about the equipment it's the experience it's the atmosphere having a good workout with a large variety with a nice hot shower afterwards a feeling refreshed and renewed physically and mentally.

Negative experience: Good gym but the staff are very literally doing nothing but workout for them self. A big part of the equipment is broken and they didn’t manage in 3 months now to have someone repairing anything.Equipment breaking every day but no one cares to change it.

Negative experience: Getting worse. Showers are dirty. Toilets not as clean as they should be. Is it members or management its quite hard to judge. Used to was much better.

Positive experience: The staff at this facility are exceptional, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly enhances the overall experience. The gym boasts a diverse range of equipment and makes efficient use of the available space, creating a conducive environment for various workout routines. While the cable machine could benefit from new attachments and some of the other equipment could appreciate some maintenance to ensure optimal performance, the equipment, in general, is well-maintained and clean. Like many fitness centers, the cleanliness of the restrooms could be improved, but all facilities are functional. Overall, the gym provides a positive and inviting space for fitness enthusiasts.

Negative experience: Generally average gym, machines often broken and all the treadmills face walls. Showers also had the ceiling tiles moved. The contract is very difficult to get out of, I was lied to by staff over the phone about my contact ending.

Positive experience: Good enough. It's really clean and the staff are quite nice and helpful. There's quite a variety of machines and weights too. Only issue is size. It's comparatively smaller than I am used to. Regardless, i think its worth it. Definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Apparently I’m not the only person to get scammed by the cancellation process of this gym absolute jokers and for anyone who’s written about the staff being top tier, that’s what I thought when they were taking my money off me, trust me when I say this but they’re whole attitude changes when you let them know you want to cancel… July I went to the gym and asked for a cancellation form spoke to a guy who when he eventually put his phone down let me know that they didn’t have any, so left my details (which they already had, but was too much bother to go onto the computer) then over a week later I got my email of the cancellation form which by then had taken me into the next month… So now I’m paying for an additional month, i then scanned it and sent it back over and heard nothing and presumed it was cancelled, the last payment would have been on 1/8/23 and can use the gym until 31/8/23 but like a lot of people on here I was moving away so wouldn’t be doing that.. September 1st arrives and shock there’s another payment taken by these lot, so I take my cancellation form and have to physically go there, they can’t find an email which I knew they were going to say, and I only had my phone and couldn’t find it on there.. they were unwilling to help me out at all. As we’re now into September they tell me I have to also pay for October, so from August to October they’ve completely robbed me and this is apparently ok? Point is if they had a cancellation form when I went in there in the 1st place I’d have filled it out on the spot and only been charged for August, but the useless individual sat behind the desk couldn’t be bothered to do his job properly so here I am another £76 down keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful facility. Very clean with lots of equipment and machines. Free weights, full body and area for cool-down and stretching.

I've been 1 to 1 training with Jordan and it's kept me the most consistent I've ever been, it's given me a confidence I didn't realise I was missing. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Wife enquired about this place. Just to see what prices were like. Even after telling them we aren't interested they still feel the need to ring up multiple times on the same day. To make it better they're now calling using mobiles, not just the gyms main phone. Completely put off and feel entirely harassed.

Positive experience: I went to Snap Fitness for around 18 months and always had a pleasurable experience. The staff were always friendly and there is a good range of equipment. However, a lot of the equipment was often out of order and took a while to be fixed. I also found their membership quite expensive compared to other gyms in the area, which eventually led to me switching. TL;DR It's a good gym with ample parking in the centre of town, but equipment often breaks and takes a while to fix.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever, be careful if you move often, you will be offered the most expensive membership with the words that you can cancel it at any time, as it is a monthly membership. Be sure that no one will tell you that to stop you need to inform them 2 payments in advance, because they in any case, after your warning will charge "the last month." For example you decided in December to close the gym and if you warn them on December 3 (December 2, you paid for December), that you want to stop subscription and December will be the last month for you, they will refuse you and say that they will take money from you on January 1, but will leave you access to the gym until the end of January ( for what I need it if I am leaving), really? You can give almost a month's warning that you're stopping, but you'll charge anyway Nice scheme to get some extra money.

Negative experience: If you're looking for the worst experience imaginable, welcome to this club. From the fact that the administration lies when signing the contract, to the lack of the slightest desire to help with problems. The receptionist informed me that by choosing the most expensive package, I am not tied to them and can stop using the gym whenever I want, the main thing is to inform. That's what I did 1-2 weeks before I moved out of town I said I was closing my membership and it turns out I have to pay for another month for whatever reason, just because they want me to, saying I will have access to the club, why do I need it when I'm out of town? Why would I pay you, especially if I told them I was leaving. I remember the administrator's words when I signed the contract: just give us a warning. The second point is parking - be very careful, because if the tablet does not work, as it was in my case, the hall will not take your side and will not help with the decision. You'll get a parking ticket just because their tablet didn't send your car's details. Spam: I am now getting hundreds of messages threatening me with fines for not paying them for +1 month, a month when I am not even in town. Be careful, a nice method to steal your money.

Fantastic experience: I came in to the gym for a tour. The girls were really welcoming and helpful answering all of my questions. The gym was spacious with lots of equipment and extremely clean and tidy. Definitely the best gym I've seen in the Trowbridge area.

Negative experience: They say it’s a no contract gym but they put everything in the terms and conditions instead to catch you out. Tried cancelling my membership after being a paying customer for a couple of years, they wouldn’t let me cancel over phone so I had to find time to go in. I cancelled my membership couple days into new month due to that being my nearest available day and they charged me for another whole month on top of the one I just paid. Feel very disappointed. When I asked if they could change this I just bluntly got told “it’s in terms and conditions” even though they pride themselves on being a no contract gym…lol. Toilets are always dirty and when the gym equipment breaks it takes them months to fix it so it stays out of order for long time. Gym also gets really busy so you have to wait to get on equipment. Other than that the gym was decent, but not worth the almost £40 a month. Feel let down by them being unfair in taking another months payment on top of the month I just unwillingly paid for.

Fantastic experience: Been to all the gym’s in Trowbridge and none of them are as good as Snap Fitness! Super friendly atmosphere with plenty of space and equipment to use. Been going since they opened and don’t plan on going anywhere else! Staff and PT’s are great and the classes are addictive! Well done Snap.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic equipment throughout the facility. The classes are what sold it for me, there are a wide range of classes at times to suit all. The instructors are really knowledgeable and make attending the gym a much more enjoyable experience!

Fantastic experience: I have trained at snap fitness gyms for many years in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. This is by far the best out of them all! The facilities are great and the staff are very accommodating and kind. After obtaining my personal training qualifications I have since returned to the gym in a coaching role as a PT. I now work daily with the staff and other coaches and I have to say its an absolute pleasure. The community vibe within the gym as a whole is brilliant! I can't wait to get back to it after lockdown!

Fantastic experience: Tash and Kez at snap fitness trowbridge are two of the nicest, most welcoming people I have ever met. Greet you with a beautiful smile every time! Always willing to help and provide guidance and support. Jack and Ade who PT and provide classes are amazing both offer something different but of the highest quality! Helen's spin classes are always fun and a challenge but again she teaches professionally with a smile and makes every session great! I highly recommend snap as it just has everything you could ask for in a gym, plus a little bit more

Negative experience: So I joined Snap Fitness as I had recently moved to the area, facilities looked great, staff came across friendly to start. I came in the gym and was mid way through a workout and asked a member for a spot, then was accused of staring at woman inappropriately and was threatened to be stabbed to death by the member. I then instead of getting support from staff was then approached by the manageress in quite an aggressive manner asking me what had I done. They reviewed CCTV footage and understood that I was not inappropriate, nor did I deserve to be threatened. Police were involved. I then go in a few weeks later, and was asked for some tips and gave some advice to another member, which I didn't realise was illegal to give free advice, then get accused of touting for clients. Well I was offered a job here the year before to which i turned down as I left the pt world. So why would I want to steal clients? Id didn't realise being nice was not allowed. In short, the facilities are ok, but a select few members and staff make this place horrendous. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a gym than I have here.

Positive experience: I've used Snapfitness for a while and overall I really like it. If it were a fiver cheaper a month I'd give it 5 stars. Good facilities and well maintained but I particularly like how flexible they are with membership, just a rolling contract with 1 month notice. Also didn't want to use during covid stuff, not because I am in anyway worried about it but because for me the whole beauty is as and when 24 access and having to book a slot totally removes the appeal and I'd rather wait until society get a collective grip of its self. Anyway they were fine with temporary suspension of membership which I believe is more accommodating than some of their competition. Hopefully it will open soon.

Negative experience: Way Over priced for the facilities and location, charge a ridiculous late fee which no other gym that I know of does.

Positive experience: Great gym, good parking and equipment. Only slight annoyance is the fact at unmanned hours people abuse the free weight section and never put weights back! Also, the showers don’t have any temp settings which isn’t great in hot weather. Any chance this can be changed?

Fantastic experience: The staff that currently run snap fitness are amazing and it’s become like another family and very welcoming. I’ve been to most of the gyms in the area, and this is the best! It’s not about the money, it’s about YOU AND ACHIEVING your GOALS! If you get a chance! The machines are amazing and place is always clean and well kept!

Negative experience: Went in for a pre-booked appointment at 1500 to walk around the gym with a view to signing up, got there a bit early at 1445 and no staff were present even though a dozen or so people were using the gym. I waited until 1515 (along with someone else who had also turned up to view the gym), we both rang the landline which just rang out (you could hear it in the gym very clearly), in the end I walked out and left a note on the reception desk stating my name and how long I had been waiting, no-one has even tried to ring in 2 days. If that's the customer service you get before you have paid, I dread to think of what it would be like after they have your money.

Positive experience: Being going for a few months. Getting better with cleanliness and maintenance of a few broken bits
