Negative experience: Really like the gym here but the toilets downstairs, near the pool are disgusting. Told a member of staff the sanitary bin in the women's single toilet was overflowing and disgusting. Was told they "don't deal with it", told her it's disgusting as it's pool side and children will be using that toilet, there was even a wotsits packet crammed in there. Considering it's not only a biohazard and the drug use in the area was shocked by the member of staffs response. Thankfully I only use the gym but be careful if you take your children there/use the toilets.

Positive experience: And the award for the best classes cancellers are.....VICTORIA LEISURE CENTRE. This is getting more and more ridiculous. First of all, it's not a bad place to go swimming or take your kids swimming but they cancel classes like it's no man's business. They never have a replacement. Once a teacher is not available, then that's it. Sometimes classes are cancelled in a row for weeks. It's not nice please. Hire more staff.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant place. They have a real heart for inclusion. Fabulous staff and great facilities. I’m a wheelchair user and have been able to participate in everything from swimming to gym sessions to the health suite with steam room and sauna. Well worth a visit!

Positive experience: Very nice leisure centre, I went for a swim, really nice pool. The changing room floors could be cleaner and showers don't stay on nearly long enough!

Negative experience: I had booked a swim for fun session today @2:30 pm with 3 of my friends and had most horrible experience with the life guards over there. They don't understand their duty properly and treated us in a most suppressed way possible. First and last time visiting this place again..

Negative experience: I called up to book onto a class, I use both Nottingham and Ilkeston and accidentally called up the wrong one for the class I wanted. After not being able to book online I was confused as to why i was being told the class wasn't on at all as I had it right infront of me with all the class information. Instead of just kindly pointing this out to me that I'd called up Victoria leisure centre Nottingham instead of Victoria leisure centre Ilkeston the woman on the phone was very blunt, dry and made me feel like a total idiot and wasn't helpful at all. I work in customer service, I know it's not exactly fun and can be frustrating at times, but that doesn't mean you can just be rude to people and make them feel stupid.

Negative experience: We visited yesterday with 2 of our residents, the receptionist was lovely and the facilities was clean however the life guards made us feel unbelievably unwelcome and penalized our residents which by the way, the session we attended was advertised as " support session". I think you would benefit from lifeguards who paint a smile, offer to help and don't discriminate. We shall not be returning

Fantastic experience: Really lovely staff! Karen was amazing and friendly. Lots of parking space nearby. Baby changing tables could do with some extra cleaning. We enjoyed the baby swimming classes very much!

Fantastic experience: this place has been amazing for me I was over 20 stone 2 years ago, I got involved with active and never looked back! The staff are amazing and friendly always smiling, have got to know so many people and made great friends with the groups along the way.I use the health Suit most days as it has helped with my disability and my mental health so much I can not put into words how much I love this place and its on my doorstep! Will be looking forward to when Health suit is open again x

Negative experience: I just start using my membership today and as I don't understand they told me health club and sauna open to until 9 pm but by 8.20 pm staff come in and start cleaning and ask me to leave ??? And they told me ever thing switched off and stop using the any more health club and they ask me to leave which s not confirme with me before ???

Positive experience: The swimming pool is quite crowded at most times, as 36 people can book to swim in the same time slot in a 6/7 lanes swimming pool, so you're constantly dodging people while attempting to swim across the pool. Besides that everything's great! Especially love the aqua fit fitness session (so fun!). The group sessions are great but I did rush out of the room to catch my breath for a level 1 fitness session. Overall a great deal £30 for swimming, gym and group fitness classes.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic! It was my first time visiting this lovely Leisure Centre earlier today and what a superb first impression I got! Friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, the hot showers , toilets and everything else there seemed fine and the swimming pool is kept in excellent conditions.

Negative experience: I don't understand why it is so expensive? I been inside and in my opinion just not worth £37 month (plus the £30 signing up fee) just to be able to use the gym? I also don't understand why you have a separate swim package but not one for gym use only?! I would not use, is just too expensive for what are getting.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fine for swimmers of all ages! Staff is friendly and helpful and go the extra mile to help their pupils. You won't find a better place to start your journey of being an ace swimmer.

Fantastic experience: Very nice place! In 5 years I always wanted to go for swimming but I couldn't find a place close to me, which is easy to use and cheap. Today was my first swimming session. I'll go every week, I was very satisfied! The stuff is very kind and helpful as well!

Fantastic experience: I have swum here many times over the years even though I don't live in Nottingham, but use the pool when I visit my son. It is a lovely pool - clean, welcoming, efficient and super- friendly! (For instance, I once forgot my water and a member of staff brought one for me.) The booking system post- covid was excellent, too. My only gripe is that we were still not allowed to use the showers, which came as a shock as at The National Pool Swansea (my regular pool) these have been available since the facility re-opened. However, despite this I have still given Victoria Leisure Centre five stars as I assume the shower situation is due to council policy and so is no fault of the pool staff - who are wonderful! I know I didn't use any of the facilities, I'd remember that. But it looks pretty good in the literature. I'll go when I start my new health and fitness regime next year. Do they do a weekly pass?

Fantastic experience: *This review is for the yoga.* I highly recommend Margarite’s class on Thursdays! In her classes you’ll see that her expertise and genuine kindness create an all-around great yoga session. I was struggling with a bad knee a few weeks ago and she gave me alternative poses to avoid any further injury. Her knowledge in the practice is apparent and assuring. Thanks for the lovely lunchtime yoga classes Margarite!

Fantastic experience: Learnt to swim here, as a non swimmer with the ‘Adult Swimming Lesson’ over six months with patient instructors, and now another six months later on! I am water confident swimming breast stroke up to 75 metres and treading water! It has a shallow end of 1m and the deep end 2m! Great facilities spacious corridors and clean changing rooms with £1 returnable lockers!

Negative experience: Great potential, but not very clean. I cannot attend the swimming pool because of the horrible smell and the state of the changing stalls. They need a better cleaning solution because whoever is cleaning is not doing very well. Upstairs is not as bad but often the floor is very dusty so when I doing the exercises class I'm constantly sneezing especially the Abs blast because it involves getting going close to the floor.

Negative experience: Green slim on both sides in the deep end , investigated wearing goggles , NASTY, must be a hazard, needs sorting asap , only used victoria leisure centre as arnold is being refurbished, ( always clean ), wont be returning which is a shame as its a lovely centre except above concerns
