Fantastic experience: Nice and clean

Positive experience: first a was happy here,but the most unpleasant started when I tried to cancel my swimming subscription (this it's impossible) becouse if you agreed with term and conditions,no way to cancel it which its disgusting , I bought for 1 year subscription ,now I do not can attend even 1 time a week .inside it's nice and clean, nice pool for this 3 stars.but you have to PAY till finish contract no way to cancel it . this it's BIG BIG minus.my advice it's to avoid buy 1 year subscription just pay as you go.i call them I said I am ready to pay a fee for early finish but NO just to pay in full.thank you

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Leisure Centre. Extremely cheap with so many services available. Even has a steam room and sauna.

Fantastic experience: Called to ask some questions regarding pre school swimming classes for my little boy. Claire on reception was extremely helpful and didn’t leave me with any unanswered questions!

Negative experience: Sick of being unable to access the facility properly due to the website being down so often. They have a stupid policy of charging when you don't cancel in time, but how can you cancel when the website doesn't work properly. Sucks!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Lovely place but their pricing leaves a lot to be desired

Negative experience: Used to love taking my children here until recently. A worker there was very rude and had something against my husband to come over and have ago at it him in front of my children wasn’t every professional at all. Made my children very uncomfortable!

Fantastic experience: This facility is top notch, I'd go as far to say it's probably one of the best ran leisure centers in the country. Always clean and tidy, staff are always friendly and happy to help. Hinckley is lucky to have such a good facility.

Positive experience: Book before you go swimming. Site is easy to use. Swimming is affordable. Went swimming yesterday and I really loved it. Helped with my lower back pain. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Very busy pool. All pool was laned off.. Gets very busy at weekends and a Friday. Suna was great. Shame steam room was not working. Changing facilities lovely and clean. Separate changing facilities for men and women. Private showers. Toilet facilities good. Sink was a bit dirty but lunch time so busy time. This is normaly clean any way. Cafe is really nice and does really nice affordable food and drinks.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities, friendly staff. Just one small issue - missing family changing room, which could be difficult for single parents with more kids.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful facility, we use it most days. The staff are great although the IT (early in the morning) can be temperamental.

Positive experience: I had to visit for a blood test and as a disabled person having to get to the top of the stairs to get in was a bit uncomfortable especially in the wet conditions hence the 3 stars, the centre staff were very helpful and friendly

Fantastic experience: Since my daughter has been taking swimming lessons, the swimming teacher is amazing...with all the children she has the patients it takes with the responsibilities...l don't worry about anything, the care and support all the children receive is 100% If you ever wish to take your child to an amazing place to learn to swim, l would recommend Hinckley leisure centre, swimming is a skill that can save a life...with qualified teachers to teach your child. Hats off to them all.

Fantastic experience: I've been using the new leisure centre for a while now but have only recently become a member. Really good facilities and a wide range of classes all situated in the middle of Hinckley. There is also plenty of carparking with the added bonus of discounted parking for members. Perfect :)

Negative experience: Employees ( not all ) in reception are really impolite and have lack of respect and manners. This is not the first time I thought it was an individual situation when we came over last month to swim where there was a girl who (maybe) hates her job and I needed help on how to use the changing room closet and she start to explain to me in a way that made me feel like ( oh I'm idiot, I don't have a closet at home and I don't even know what it is). She didn't offer to be kind and show me how to use it she sat behind the reception desk with her mobile phone on her hand waiting for me to solve my problem on my own!!! On that day I said to my self naaah I'm not gonna write anything about it I'm not gonna ruin my day for that. BUT!!!! TODAY!!!! I came over with my wife and my kids to the soft play I met another 2 rude girls on the reception they were talking to each other and when I came over the desk to tell her that I want to pay she made me wait until she finished her talk with her colleague!!! THEN I asked her I wanna pay for soft play she said yeah but its until 12pm is that okay? I stopped for a second to think about it because I think its too much money for just 45 minutes of playing but my daughter wants to play no matter what ( obviously I was thinking) so she thought that I don't understand or speak English so she decided in VERY VERY VERY rude way to say again what she said to me again ( slow in a silly way) Like for god sake is that a joke? Is that a polite behaviour? Is that how these employees got this job? ARE YOU RUDE? DO YOU HAVE LACK OF RESPECT? COME AND JOIN US! LOL

Fantastic experience: Just finished my free Senior swim. The person I registered with was very helpful ,courteous and knowledgeable. Would recommend this Leisure Centre.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful place to look around. Has got all the modern facilities such as Gym, swimming Pool,indoor play ground.

Negative experience: As a local leisure centre it's fine and the pool is nice but as a gym I think there are other options locally that are better. In the gym one of the rowing machines has been broken since November (it is now May), one of the others is damaged too and the other 4 machines whenever I go in there are in constant use. I've stopped going to the classes because they are always so full you don't really have the space to move properly, very awkward to have a random persons foot floating in your face during an entire yoga class. On top of that the music in the gym is regularly excessively loud, to the point that I can hear it through my noise cancelling headphones. I understand not wanting silence but having it loud enough that I have to crank my own music to an uncomfortable level to drown it out is ridiculous, especially when you look around and 90% of people in there have headphones in listening to their own stuff. I'm switching my gym membership elsewhere and will pay as I need to go swimming

Fantastic experience: Big hall facilities, car park free after 6 pm. Reception with Coffee bar.

Negative experience: The facilities in here is really good, but poor customer service. The staffs here were bit rude.

Positive experience: Minimal parking spaces for the EXCLUSIVE use of the disabled & little or no provision of chairs for traders & model club members at the recent model show there.

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service from Pia. She explained everything in detail, nothing was too much trouble. I now have the information I need to make plans for my daughter's party.

Fantastic experience: I think this place is great .but I do wish they would do a hour that people with disabilities or special needs could go have some fun .without it disrupting normal swim They would make some very happy

Positive experience: Have played badminton for years and really enjoyed the experience. But recently they have put pickle ball in the same sports hall which is a new sport but extremely loud! If you are unfortunate enough to be next to them it's very difficult to play badminton as you cant hear. Why is this happening? I

Fantastic experience: Great soft play for £6. No need to pay for adults. Small and perfect for an energetic toddler! Bigger kids would be ok too. Swimming pool is nice and changing rooms and big and mixed gender which is great for families. Cafe is nice to have a coffee and cake after, they have some sandwiches etc but I don't think they do any hot food options, but you're a stones throw from the town center for lunch after if you are making a day of it.

Fantastic experience: This place is always busy! It has a cafe and many sports are played here. I have even seen kids rollerskating in the holidays. It's great to have this so near to where we live as my husband goes to a class here and really enjoys it.

Fantastic experience: Busy, don't know why. Still clean and showers available although some are better than others. No blocked drains today too.

Fantastic experience: My child attended swimming lessons here from 3 months old and it’s an amazing pool, great instructors. There’s always great events going on in the summer outside the centre, we love coming here :)! Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Meets the minimum standards of an average leisure centre. Nothing stands out positively, some things need extra attention (specially access control - gates are often open without any visitor screening)

Negative experience: First time there and paid for a one-off swim to check the place out. Had a decent evening swim sesh despite there being ignorant group of individuals. Personally I think if it’s a designated lane swim session then there shouldn’t be people doing canon balls in the slow lane, it was more like a family fun lane. Definitely wont be going there again.

Positive experience: Had blood test there so can't really say anything about the centre

Negative experience: First and probably last visit to this place. I've never been here before and decided to take my 2 year old swimming. I told the lady on the main reception I hadn't been before and didn't know where I was going, etc. She was very blunt, uniterested, and unhelpful. Immediately, this is off-putting for me and I expect friendly and helpful staff especially when they are told you've not visited before. The centre itself seemed clean but I spent half the time asking random strangers questions about the centre as the other staff in the centre also seemed like they would rather be anywhere else but there. I'm not saying avoid the place, but for me this is just unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: TAGB Squad training. Great facilities. Car park very small though get there early.

Fantastic experience: I have been on a course here for 3 days and the standards throughout the facility are amazing. Clean and tidy, excellent customer service. I have been blown away by the amount of community facilities available at the centre and how welcome the customers are made to feel. It is a brilliant place!

Positive experience: Swim times on website should be updated, not correct!!! Water is on cold side but ok on a hot day, showers a bit hit and miss - no temperature control and on the forcefully side, but the saunas are good.

Positive experience: Review of the soft play only. Price is a little steep for the size of the frame, kids can very quickly lose interest. Limited seating. And the room can get rather hot when the sun is out. However if you want your kids to burn off some energy in Hinckley town centre then it's a really good option.

Fantastic experience: Lovely atmosphere. Staff are very friendly, approachable and helpful. I only use the gym but as a member I have access to the swimming pool, sauna etc as well as soft play for the kids.

Fantastic experience: Went to the lane swimming, very busy but did thin out. Changing area is clean and enjoyed the sauna and steam room.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities at an affordable price. Friendly and helpful staff. The only centre locally that has a swimming pool and a steam and sauna room. Sets it apart from all of the other local gyms.

Negative experience: Me and my partner both pay a full membership for gym and swimming, and ideally wanted to go swimming 2 or 3 times a week due to my injuries. Nearly everytime we turn up, it is never open for the public/members. Its disgusting that they take your money and then you can't use the swimming. We check available times and plan a routine then it's all of a sudden got a class on. When can we actually use it apart from ridiculously early in the mornings. Will certainly be cancelling our memberships, taken for mugs. Sort it out Places Leisure!!

Positive experience: Ok. Nice pool Floors are permanently slippy when wet. Bad choice of tiles

Negative experience: Changing room was dirty, and the showers , some lockers wouldn't take the pound coin and one of the life guards was a sleep on poolside, when asked why , they said they had been on a late shift Saturday night and then told they were on an early shift Sunday morning.

Positive experience: Good children's play, room could do with wiping tables down and cleaning flooring more often, that is the only negative

Fantastic experience: New building. Clean and tidy. Lots of facilities. Badminton court is wood floor

Fantastic experience: Swimming pools are good, nice and clean and the right amount of Chlorine (online some pools where the water is like slime and burns your eyes). Changing rooms are clean and tidy, good showers but sometimes can be a bit too hot especially for kids. Play area is not overly big but still very good and compact over 3 floors so you can grab a drink and see almost all of the play area to keep an eye on the little ones. Also, a cided door so kids don't escape.

Negative experience: Paid £5.10 for only 2 lanes available. No drink tap to fill up my water bottle and was told to the only place to fill it was the disabled toilet. Could only get in at 930 which is fine but no one had told me prior that this was the case until a second before I was about to hop in. No flags up to help with the 5 metre mark and when I said there are bo flags they just said yes and nothing else. I am fine with all of these things but not when I'm spending £5.10 for limited use of the pool.

Fantastic experience: Been to the centre for a birthday party. It's a nice place to bring kids for swimming to a multitude of activities available.

Fantastic experience: Really nice clean leisure centre, my son says the water is quite cold though, nice cafe, lovely sandwiches.

Positive experience: There for a swim gala - Rubbish Internet reception and no free wifi. Other than that like any other leisure pool for a spectator - hot!

Fantastic experience: Lovely shallow pool for young children, nice hot showers, and snacks available afterwards.

Positive experience: Good, clean facilities. 25m pool with depth adjustable floor to 1.8 meters. Sports hall, gym, spin room and studios. Plenty of membership options, although junior membership very restricted.

Fantastic experience: It's a Great place to do your workout and swimming. Most of the staffs are very friendly.

Fantastic experience: Attended the East Midlands Model (kit) show. The hall used was spacious. Simple parking (most appeared pay and display). There's also another pay and display car park a short walk away. There's a (what I'd call) cafe next to the entrance foyer. The (male) toilet that I used (in male changing area) was clean. Though I think they could have had another cubicle and a couple more urinals. There is a park area outside the centre. The leisure centre is a short walk away from the town centre.

Fantastic experience: Lots of activities for yourself or all family, car park, new and well maintained gym accessories and friendly staff.

Positive experience: We where here for the best car show in the Midlands do only had a coffeem

Negative experience: My son's goggles which was purchased at the time of his first swimming lesson not more than 6/7 weeks ago keeps leaking water into his eyes despite being tightened to the extent he is uncomfortable. I spoke to reception and I filled a form out for a replacement, I was told I would hear back a manager by email to at least acknowledge my complaint. A week later and nothing, I went to discuss this and was completely brushed off by reception and told, it can take up to 21 days for a refund, I stated for god knows how many times, I want replacement not a refund. The receptionist then went to speak to someone, came back and wasn't helpful, however she did bring my sons googled out which had been handed in a week ago, and told me you can take these back if you want, but the manager needs to see what's wrong with them, I asked how long this would take and surprise suprise, I was told maybe 28vdays, I challenged what she had previously said at 21 days response and she said I will get my manager out. I said how can you leave a child for you don't know how long without googles for swimming lessons, she went to get her manager. I was told only managers could issue refunds, again I explained I did not want a refund, but a replacement. They told me they would try and escalate to xxxx, I still haven't heard anything. They are extremely quick to take your money, but when customer satisfaction comes to the fore, this company is completely lacking, I am so disappointed I am ready for complaining to the board. My son is extremely upset, and we feel as the original googles kept leaking I'm water he has not benefited from his swimming paid for lessons as he is constantly having to remove the goggles to clear his eyes. I would not recommend this company at all. I even had my son down for one to one lessons and again no one could help, fobbed off every week with the person dealing with this is not in, the system is down so I am unable to tell you where xxx is on the register. They need to train staff and managers correctly so they can deal with all issues and not fob customers off. My son is so upset about this, he does not want to come anymore

Negative experience: It was fairly clean however, the smell from changing rooms or toilets was terrible. I went there for evening family fun with kids aged 2 and 4. Both of them had neoprene long sleeve swimsuit and they were still freezing. After 20 minutes we went under the showers which are a way too hot compare to the water and air temperatures especially in changing rooms. Overall wouldn't be that bad if they could sort out temperatures issue.

Positive experience: Went for an early morning swim, well organised lanes and everyone friendly. Will definitely be going back.

Negative experience: I see this place hasn't changed. Trying to contact them as I want to rejoin but as usual no one ever answers the phones no matter what option you choose. Then goes to a mailbox that then takes 3 days for someone to call you back! App and website is still as useful as a chocolate teapot and I have tried resetting my password many many times and Im still told it is incorrect. Has put me off as customer service here is diabolical !!!!

Fantastic experience: Really nice place for family, or individual training, very friendly & welcoming staff.

Negative experience: Booked a session on-line only to arrive and be told it was not running, it was incorrectly showing on the internet week after week and needs to be removed. The Leisure Centre has the facility to take your booking, debit your card and email you the tickets, but is unable to contact you to cancel the session. What a shambles!

Fantastic experience: My grandchildren have started swimming lessons here and I'm very pleased with the friendly and professional staff

Fantastic experience: So took mother in law for 4th covid jab staff were really friendly. Took 20 mins. Not sure why but parkland area was happy kids on swings playing Football quite serene. But cool.

Fantastic experience: Staff and facilities are clean and managed well. Great area and prices are reasonable with a great selection of classes.

Negative experience: None of the drink machines working?? Told to go downstairs to fetch paper cup and would be given water. Questioned when I wanted to use the lift as member of staff moving banquet tables. Used lift to go downstairs and couldn't use to go back up again due to staff loading the lift. Took 10+ mins for me to walk the 1 flight due to disability, left me in much pain and discomfort ☹️

Negative experience: Pool water is a bit cold. But the changing rooms are freezing when you've come out of the water to get dry. It's not good when you have babies and young kids. Turn the heating up please!

Negative experience: Poorly managed, if there was somewhere else in Hinckley to go I would never use this facility again. Staff are shocking and seem to lack common sense, training, admin and timekeeping skills. If I could leave less than 1* I would.

Fantastic experience: Took my granddaughter here on Saturday 5th Feb...wow just an amazing centre ...swimming area is just amazing Toddler pool sooooooooo warm ..depth perfect..arrive on the hour for full swim...softplay area in reception too

Fantastic experience: Very happy staff, great facilities with temperature just right for swimming. Soft play and outdoor play area very useful. Only downfall is not able to book in advance

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, cafe and toilet facilities . The pools look very inviting although I haven't tried them.

Negative experience: My main interest joining the leisure was to use the pool and sauna facilities. However very limited times are available for members as it is mostly busy with lessons. For instance on a Saturday the only slot available was 6:30 in the morning for one hour. There few more slots during the week about one hour in the morning, sometimes lunch time and 18:45 to 19:30 in the evenings. Feels like you are paying for others to use.

Fantastic experience: Went to kids soft play, clean not over crowded, and safe. What I liked most was there is only one main door so you can relax knowing that your kids are safe while having fun letting off some steam.

Positive experience: I stood outside while my dad had his covid booster, looked lovely from outside, not sure I am really qualified to give a review about the leisure centre though and my dad was grumpy so his review might be unbalanced.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic new building with a wide range of facilities. Amazing pool with swimming lessons for all ages

Fantastic experience: Nice gym plenty of cardio machines and some specialist weight machines I've personally not seen in other gyms, get free classes I've done spin class but lots of other classes to choose from.

Fantastic experience: Great for kids and family. Neat and clean. Helpful staff. Parking is free after 6pm. Before 6 pm it is 60 0ence and hour but you get additional 2 hours.

Fantastic experience: Very clean you can smell the bleach and cleaning detergents. Great equipment and friendly staff. Very good Covid measures felt safe.

Fantastic experience: Our first visit here with our grandsons to use the softplay. Nice facility although a little small. Friendly staff and reasonably clean. The swimming pool looked nice so we'll give it a go soon.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy attending this venue. Very helpful staff. Never a silly question. Always feel welcome and comfortable. Swimming pool well organised and sauna. Gym could have more equipment, a punch bag would be nice. Great instructors.

Positive experience: Nice, clean leisure centre. Polite staff, very friendly. There is an up to date gym and great swimming pool. The pool was warm and the prices are average for the area.

Positive experience: We went in for a drink and cake. A very nice, relaxing cafe. Seats comfortable and nice to be able to look outside into Argents Mead and watch people swimming. I ordered a latte which was really strong, I took it back and they changed it really quickly, apologising profusely. The second cup was lovely. Would recommend and return.

Fantastic experience: Great leisure centre, nice gym with decent selection of equipment. Multiple swimming pools with a splash area for kids. Cafe is good and not badly priced. Would definitely recommend it
