Fantastic experience: A good hotel for visiting the south bank, a short walk across the road from Lambeth North tube and a little further from Waterloo. 5 min walk to Imperial War museum.

Negative experience: The ROOM Bed was great, TV channels are limited with mostly news, tea and coffee sachets and bottled water are top up daily. Upon request, linens and towels are changed daily. The in-room phone to call Guest Service, Housekeeping, Room Services and etc are not available. Maybe it's just for decoration. Blackout blinds yes. Day curtain yes as well. But there's no privacy! There's no proper toilet door except a sliding glass door either for covering the shower or the toilet bowl. You can smell whatever is coming out from either area. Loud footsteps from above at night and really early morning. We can hear next door neighbour chats when our room are ready for bed. And ya, that's it. The SERVICE All are friendly and communication was smooth f2f. They have an APP that guest can access for quick check in and out, all in-room dining services and even quick chat. And with this smart features, my stay happened to faced with a problem on my last day before my flight. I ordered a cup of Hot Green Tea via the APP in the morning at 7.01am (order email timestamp) to start my day before I head out with my friend. The APP shows the waiting was 45mins. By 7.56am, I did not receive any email updating me with my order was being prepared (previous orders are within 5mins). Hence, I uses the APP quick chat function which it diverted me to their business whatsapp. They checked on my order number and mentioned will get their room service team to chased up my order. And I waited for another 30mins which was 8.37am, no update no email. So I whatsapp again. I seek for refund if the cup of Hot Green Tea can't be delivered to me within 10mins. And they mentioned they will inform their manager and this manager will get in touch with me shortly. And for the whole entire day until I went back hotel at 6.30pm, nobody came back to me for any updates. And again, I whatsapp for updates! And again! They told me they have informed their manager and this manager has been informed and accepted a refund for me but still pending for confirmation. SERIOUSLY?! The LOCATION Convenience spot with really good pasta, good vibe bar and cafes as well as souvenirs shops and supermarkets for whatever essential needs. 5mins walking distance to Underground (Lambert North Station).

Fantastic experience: Stayed at the Park Plaza Waterloo in London on November 2, 3 & 4, 2024. I really got to know the breakfast team led by Carol Velez and they were exceptional! They went out of their way to provide excellent service and were so friendly and accommodating! I also want to mention Priya, who was at the reception desk for the pool, sauna & steam room. She was extremely warm and friendly and made me feel so comfortable! I basically had the place to myself, but I felt very safe. It was a great experience!
Positive experience: I stayed there for 3 nights part of our strategy days Hotel in general was good in terms of location, safety, facilities and rooms Check in as quick and ok but they didn't explain about services offered or what they have in the hotel such spa or gym etc. Room was spacious very clean and the bed was very comfortable I opted for the initiative that they are doing to help climate change and helping the environment however the receptionist explained that my towels will be changed daily I stayed there for 3 nights and no one even entered my room or changed anything for 3 nights not even for a turndown service I used same towels for 4 days as I didn't even had the time to ask for anything and they have everything on the app. For check and check out as well If I go to hotels or restaurants it is for the human interaction and the kind smiley people but couldn't find neither there Hotel location is great as it is nearby everything and you have lots of souvenirs shops just down the street and a Tesco express as well Gym was great, new equipments, very clean and have towels and water dispenser however you need an employee assistant to open the elevator door for you so I had to go to the reception Every day to open the elevator for me to go to the gym The meeting room was ok but not great it was on the executive lounge The lights were too dimmed for a meeting and when it gets little darker outside it will become so dark inside as well AC was off on its own so we felt sometimes suffocated However I was in touch with the team and they were trying to act on it directly The food wasn't great as well the choices were fine but the food taste was just mild and tasteless The coffee breaks were ok We do our strategy every 3 months in a new hotel in London and the best one so far was The Standard London

Positive experience: I could happily stay here again as it’s quite a good hotel compared to many of the ‘4*’ hotels that are available in London. The location is good as it is right across the Lambert North tube station and a five minute walk to Waterloo tube station which has better connections. There’s a Sainsbury’s Local, Tesco Express and Co-Op all within a five minute radius of the hotel. Be warned that the bathroom is a weird set up. You can only have the door on the shower or the toilet as it is a shared sliding door between the two. There were some minor damages that could’ve been easily fixed if attended to. When I did have a problem such as the control buttons for the room not working and the toilet that would not stop running - they were solved instantly. The fact that I could do everything online - check-in and out and have a digital key on my phone - and never had to interact with a human if I didn’t want to also made the stay much easier.
Negative experience: The WiFi is terrible. It drops intermittently. The staff are unhelpful and don’t care with unclear directions and rolling eye looks to each other.

Positive experience: One of the many Park Plaza hotel around Waterloo London. It's about 10-15 walk away from Westminster Bridge and London Eye. The rooms are modern and trendy. The service was good and the front staff was also welcoming. Good connectivity from this location via the Bus, tube and rail across London and beyond.
Fantastic experience: I recently stayed at the Park Plaza Waterloo and was truly impressed by the exceptional service, especially from Harman, who went out of his way to make my stay memorable. The hotel is fantastic—safe, comfortable, and perfectly located for getting around London. Thanks to the wonderful team for making my experience so enjoyable. I’ll be returning in two weeks and plan to make this my go-to accommodation for all future London trips!
Negative experience: Whorst experience ever in my entire life for a called 4* hotel! I check in on 25.10, room vey dirty, staf full of people untrained! After I ask to change the room it took 3-4hours and I checked around 6pm! You pay 700£ for a messy room, to stay in line like a communist country for breakfast in the morning with a line of 30-40 people, if you don t have pay the breakfast and want to go inside to leave something they became very aggressive the Indian staff at entrance ! Not recommend this hotel even to my hater’s!!

Positive experience: I would not stay here again, but it's not the worst hotel experience I've had in London. The main issue is that the bathroom provides little to no privacy if you're not a solo traveler. As others have mentioned, the bathrooms have no main door! There is only a thin glass door that slides between the toilet and the shower. So if you're trying to preserve any mystery and romance on your trip, avoid this hotel or travel to the lobby anytime you want to use the toilet. Even after I switched rooms, the door on the bathroom didn't close all the way. Upon checking in, the person at the front desk didn't provide any welcome information regarding pool or restaurant hours, etc. The pool was not heated and did not look very clean along the sides. The sauna was fine, but the steam room smelled like mold so I left immediately. I asked for washcloths 3 nights in a row and finally had some brought up after the 3rd time I asked, our last night at the hotel. Because of this and the bathroom situation, I didn't feel the staff was very attentive to requests. In terms of location, it was convenient to public transportation and walking distance to the Westminster area. It didn't seem like the safest area at night, but it's a huge city so that's to be expected. I appreciated that it was walking distance (8 mins) to Wahaca, which has excellent food. There's also a bar right across the street which had a nice vibe, but smelled heavily of fish. The TV used Chromecast, which didn't always work well and caused frustration. Thankfully, the bed is a full king-size and was comfortably firm. So it was easy to sleep well at night. I also didn't notice too much noise outside or from neighbors. Overall, considering the endless options in London, I'm unlikely to stay here again given the bathroom situation and inattentive staff.

Positive experience: Really uncomfortable bed (too hard) and uncomfortable cheap hollow fibre pillows. Also there was no shower gel in the big wall mounted bottles. Hallways are also very dark and foreboding.

Fantastic experience: So convenient: tube station literally facing the hotel, and very near Westminster. Very nice atmosphere, I really loved the clear bedroom with its large window: probably great views from the highest floors. Lots of storage available, and functional bathroom. But what I particularly appreciated was the staff: so efficient and very professional. Reception was clear and fast. Mornings and evenings were made even more enjoyable with everyone's smiles and discreet but constant presence, always ready to help or provide whatever needed. I remember Anshida and Rhituja's warm welcome every morning at breakfast, as well as everyone at the hotel restaurant, who made us feel like their guests every evening.

Positive experience: Stayed at this hotel for 8 nights with a group. Cannot say enough about the staff here, especially our fabulous concierge - Tony! I had heard about him from others who have also stayed here. He is amazing and oh so very helpful!
Negative experience: Despite speaking to staff at the hotel on 4 separate occasions - 2 in person (including on the day), 1 over email and 1 over the phone - the simple request to make the sofa-bed up in advance was not done and it did not have bedding in it. After making the booking online I was contacted to let me know that although the room was advertised as wheelchair accessible, there were no shower chairs in the rooms. Only when I went in person in advance on behalf of my guest, which is usually not possible, was a solution offered. Therefore, I don't think this hotel is suitable for Disabled people. The restaurant did not have enough space for a wheelchair to navigate comfortably. The controls in the shower were difficult to use and the wet room was flooding.

Positive experience: Despite VIP member, the executive lounge is not available. Is just for private events. I had to work in the middle of tourists, kids and in low light common area.
Positive experience: It was a fine hotel but two things really detracted from the experience. First, we messaged to get new sheets at about 9 am while we were out. We returned at 3 pm with no change. I messaged again at 5pm when we left for dinner and still nothing when we returned two hours later. At 9pm we finally get a knock on the door and I had to reexplain that I just needed a new sheet. The second thing was that the food vouchers do not work for the morning buffet. it's a small thing but food is food and it's already a hefty 25 pounds per person, per day. They are also still operating on COVID rules for the spa area. It makes sense for the pool because it's not very large but I shouldn't need to reserve times for the fitness center.

Fantastic experience: We love this hotel for its location..easy access to Waterloo, theaters and shops by buses which are frequent and the hotel has a great swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam rooms which can be booked ... The staff are very friendly and courteous.

Negative experience: Hotel is lovely but I literally could not breath in reception area. The perfume is so strong and thick almost triggered an allergic reaction to it! More awareness for people who suffer from allergies and asthma and opt for more subtle scents if any at all!

Positive experience: No doors on either bathroom or toilet closes fully. The entire reception smells like toilets since they keep doors open to toilets downstairs for both men and women... No toilet in this hotel has got a toilet brush so I'm sure where I'm going with this.. The chaos in the restaurant at breakfast is mind-blowing sometimes..there isn't enough stuff to accommodate.. not going to even comment on the restaurant. You can't broadcast to your TVs.. Last time duvet was dirty underneath the sheets..List just goes on incl broken shower etc.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic customer service + awesome location. This is my second time staying with them, and they continue to impress. When I had a small issue with my room at check-in, I requested a switch, and the front desk handled it immediately, no questions asked. They even gave me drink vouchers as a gesture of apology. To top it off, chocolates were delivered to my room during cleaning the next day. 10/10, I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in London!

Negative experience: I usually do not write reviews, but this one is something different. When we arrived we met a very racist and mean receptionist, although we booked previously and asked for rooms close to each other, they said that the rooms are not clean and kept giving excuses. When we got the rooms they were messy and the bathroom door could not close all the way, literally outrageous. The breakfast was okay, but very limited options Overall, the experience was really poor, I do not recommend anyone to book , there are several options around the area that I suggest to explore

Positive experience: This hotel is in a good spot for the Southbank and easy transport links. There's a Gail's and Sainsbury Local nearby, as well as Choc Dino cookies and a few other coffee shops. The hotel lobby is quite dark, but very well kept. Staff at reception incredibly helpful. Rooms a bit tired and quite noisy pipework (we were moved to a different floor but pipework also noisy 9 floors higher!). Front desk incredibly helpful. Spa area is pleasant. Ahmed very helpful indeed. Pool tired, edging falling off and needs some love. Great to have a pool in a central London hotel, mind. I'd say the price is too high for the hotel overall, but it's definitely a user-friendly option and the staff are fantastic.
Fantastic experience: Very clean place. We loved the compliment service of luggage storage. It really helped us moving around. The swimming pool was bit small for such a big hotel and it's not like you can just go to the pool whenever you like. We need to book timeslots, that is something I disliked abt this hotel. If a person or family is visiting a city then it's obvious that you can never know when you will be available for swimming. But again it's personal choice to use this facility. This place is not very far from London central. Overall nice experience.

Fantastic experience: This place is lovely. Nice staff and sweets at the counter. Very easy to adjust the room to your liking although the bathroom privacy isn't the best. The sofa beds can sometimes be lumpy. The rooms have fridges and a keetle plus dry robes and slippers. Nicely placed outside Lambeth North on the bakerloo line and have a chicken shop, sainsbury, pasta shop, boba tea and more. Food is okay, our family prefers home cooking but pretty good. The spa and swimming pool is good.

Fantastic experience: Great hotel, next to Lambeth North tube station. Check in was easy and friendly. Room was clean and large. AC worked perfectly. If you are looking for a nice hotel near the Imperial Museum, I definitely recommend.
Negative experience: Online the hotel looked great BUT wasn't. Room was filthy , we found cobwebs around the room . The surfaces had not been cleaned and the headboard was worn badly on two spots where people lay terehead, it looked very tacky . The windows were n't cleaned or dusted.see pics . I had two bad scratches from the shower door which had sharp edges , very sore and bleeding . The lighting is very dull and difficult to navigate the halls. Would never recommend to his hotel

Positive experience: Good room but the shower was broken. AC goes off overnight which isnt ideal with no opening windows. There was a mouse in the dining room that the floor manager seemed to ignore when alerted to the sighting. Bar staff unable to have a simple drink of water in open sight, our server had to drop out of sight from the dining room to have a glass of water. I find this approach to be very infuriating and worrying, the server was very nice and approachable and this level of dehumanising that he had to endure was unnecessary and unacceptable. The mindset that forces this behaviour needs to change. Hotel was also very dark and poorly lit.
Negative experience: Most unfriendly and un-human hotel management that one can imagine. Trip had to be cancelled due to intensive care and management denies refund due to terms and conditions. Don't ever book there if you believe in humanity. I expect a certain understanding as a guest and can't reckon nobody to step a foot in this hotel. Or hotel management has to change.

Fantastic experience: Park Plaza Waterloo has been a wonderful place to stay. This is our second year staying here and we couldn’t be more pleased! Special bedside touch programming to control everything from lighting to A/C. And location is great. Very close to Big Ben and TheEye. Totally recommend!

Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel but very dark reception and corridors. Our room too was dark and needed the lights on at all times. This was probably because of its first floor location and frosted window. We didn’t like the lack of privacy in the bathroom and toilet area with its glass doors. Oh, and there was no plug in the sink, nor any way of using a plug! Spa was good although at the time of our visit the steam room was not working. Very convenient location for underground and bus stops plus an easy 15 minute walk to Westminster Bridge.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic hotel in a great central location but equally peaceful. Spacious rooms, great shower pressure and lovely Elemis toiletries! Love the room mood lighting and the temperature control and electric curtains! Great size TV. Room service was expensive but the food was hot and fresh. Positive experience: The Park Plaza Waterloo is a well-situated hotel, conveniently located near the Lambeth North tube station, with Waterloo station just a seven-minute walk away. The rooms are stylish and modern, boasting impressive views. Amenities include a mini bar fridge, a Nespresso coffee machine, Elemis bathroom products, and Harrogate bottled water. Although the executive lounge was closed due to a private event during my stay, the hotel offers a concierge service and reception that can be easily reached via WhatsApp. Breakfast was average, with some items like omelettes available for an additional charge.

Fantastic experience: We started at the hotel for.four says and we had a wonderfull time. The rooms were very clean and pleasant, the staff were superfriendly and assisted is in anything we needed. The location of the hotel is also perfect. Close to an underground station, walking distance from some mayor landmarks and there's a supermarkt nearby of you want to take out something to nibble on. I can only recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Negative experience: Stayed here for two nights. The view from the room was of the train tracks. The customer service is atrocious. 9 times out of 10 they don’t answer the phone when you try calling from your room. Our fridge was broken and the replacement was just dumped in the middle of the room and that barely worked too. Will not stay here again!

Positive experience: The service is excellent! From front desk, restaurant, room service. ( Courtenay was a sweetheart, give her a raise) particularly enjoyed the takeaway/ coffee bar by conference room! The people make this place special. All were kind and accommodating!!!
Negative experience: Location is just about the only thing going for this hotel… A/C sucks, barely any hot water, the towels look old and used even tho it’s been washed a couple thousand times. Thank God we brought sleeping bag covers to protect us against their sheets. Would I recommend, Def NOT… would I come back, HELL NO. Idk how this hotel has 4 stars, I wouldn’t even rate 3!

Fantastic experience: Great hotel. Lovely rooms. The view over the trains coming into Waterloo is a good way to fall asleep. There’s a few Park Plaza hotels in the area so ensure you get the right one.

Positive experience: AC only works when motion is detected. There seems to be no aircon running in the halls either. This means that you either: 1. Don’t mind sleeping hot 2. Wake up sweaty and wave your arms frantically every so often to force the AC back on. I can’t recommend any hotel with this customer hostile sort of HVAC system.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I stayed for a weekend stay a couple of weeks ago and we had a great experience. The service was exceptional and all staff showed this consistency. All polite, professional and very welcoming. The gym and pool are great and the sauna, so relaxing. The concierge Michael was great and really made us feel comfortable. A great stay! Amazing view!! The pillows and beds were soooooo comfy! Transport great. Definitely be back. Fantastic experience: It’s good choice to stay if you have planned several days to explore this city. Ahmed did a good job and he was very friendly to us. The work of Reception desk was also very effective as we were not very satisfied with first room, they gave us choices for alternatives. We are leaving for two days, wish you could finish this journey with tons of joyments.
Negative experience: Before we arrived, I contacted the hotel to explain that the second room I had booked was under my sister-in-law and second guest my other sister-in-law but my first sister-in-law would be arriving until much later and therefore it would the other checking in. I was told this would not be an issue as it was myself who booked both rooms. When we arrived at 14.00pm, I was not acknowledged or greeted and had to ask if I could check in. I was then asked for ID - something that I’ve never been asked for but did give some ID which was my driving licence. I then asked if it was possible for an upgraded room as a premium Radisson member and due to the ongoing email conversation I had with Ahmed previously back in January. I was told that if i came back in 10-20 minutes, and then she would see if an upgrade was available. The whole time I was not greeted or acknowledged as a premium member. I came back 20 minutes later and spoke to another member of the check-in team. I was told check in was not completed and I needed to go through it all again and they needed to see ID of my sister-in-law. I explained that she would not be arriving until later and showed my email trail and explained the phone call about this. I was then told that we could not check in as my sister in law was the lead. I showed my emails with both room bookings, I showed them my Radisson App and then my bank details showing the one payment for both rooms. None of this was enough and was repeatedly told none of us could check in. I then asked why this had not been said 20 minutes ago when I first arrived and why was I then sent away for 20 minutes. I asked this to be escalated to the manager, again, I explained I stay at Radisson hotels regularly and never had this level of poor customer service and incompetence. I arrive back in London in two weeks to stay at a Radissson hotel. The manager gave her apologies, checked us both in and provided us with a voucher to use for a drink. When we arrived to our room, the sofa was set out as if this was a family room, the walls were heavily marked and the plug socket was on the floor. We made reception aware and then left to start our day. When we arrived back to our hotel, the sofa bed had been put back to a sofa but nothing had been done about the plug socket and it was still on the floor. The next morning at breakfast, which we had pre-paid with booking which I understand is around £25 each. We were seated at a table, usually at my frequent stays, I order an omelette or poached eggs and it has never been an issue. We were presented with a list of omelette/poached eggs but were told it would be an extra £7 each. I think this is highly unfair given how much has already been paid. The lack of choices, juice options and warm food was shocking and we did not eat or get value from spending £75 on breakfast. On our way out on the 21st, we received a knock at the door to say reception sent a bottle of wine, I explained we were heading out and would not be back until midnight and then leaving the next day, the thought was appreciated but practically, inconvenient. I also explained we do not drink red wine but she placed the bottle on the floor and left. Overall, the location is perfect, but the customer service needs improving and rooms need updating and some TLC.

Fantastic experience: Lovely pool sauna and steam room. The staff have been really helpful. Lamberth north underground is practically opposite so ideal to get about.
Negative experience: I have been a loyal guest at Park Plaza Hotel in Waterloo since its opening. It was my favorite hotel, always immaculate with well-trained staff, high-quality service, and a pleasant aroma as soon as you walked in. I dined at the restaurant almost every evening and had zero complaints. However, my recent experience was a complete shock. The hotel was filthy, and the service was incredibly slow. I planned to stay for two nights but changed my mind after what I saw today. I came to meet a doctor and suggested we have a drink and something to eat in the hotel lobby. To our horror, we saw a mouse running around under our table, looking very comfortable. When we informed the waiter, his response was, "Oh, you saw the mouse?" He wasn't even surprised, implying this wasn't the first time it had happened. He said he would bring the manager, but we waited for half an hour, and no one came. We left without eating and were not even offered an apology. I canceled my plans to stay at the hotel and will never return. The decline in cleanliness and service is unacceptable. It's disgusting to think this was once my favorite hotel in the Waterloo area. I need to escalate this issue because it is completely unacceptable.

Positive experience: I'm forced to leave a negative review for one simple reason: there is no bathroom door. The bathroom itself had no door, and there is a sliding *transparent* door that can only shield the toilet or shower - but not both. This made for an awkward stay with my mother, but I expect couples would want some privacy as well. Other than that, the location was perfect, breakfast was great and staff were courteous. However, the bathroom situation makes this the most memorable hotel I've ever stayed at. Attached one photo taken with the shower door *closed*, and you can see the top half is transparent.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed our stay in Park Plaza Waterloo so much. Negative experience: As all others reviews location is great, the size of the room is amazing for London, but SERVICE is a HUGE FAIL!!! I volunteered not to have my room cleaned for a voucher and when asked for it; it seemed as I was begging for a discount or paying less for something, they looked at me at the worst possible and the person at the counter asked 2 people about it, then all stared at me. I was also offered to use their app and do the check out online, surprise! Even with my do not disturb sign at 6am, 7am and 8am i was visited by cleaning team, repeating I was still there. I called in front office to ask to stop this until me leaving at 12 as per check out time, and nobody could do it unless I personally go to the reception…. So why all modern things of app services, digital notifications if at the end it does not work??

Fantastic experience: Excellent hotel with a fantastic pool, sauna, steam room and gym area. The room was clean and as described and staff were great. All in all, great stay and would definitely come back.

Positive experience: Our room was extremely warm despite engineer coming to investigate the air conditioning in the room 3 times. Seems like a fundamental issue with the air conditioning in the hotel. Service however was very good, in particular Sveva at the Illy Cafe within the hotel who was very friendly and particularly accommodating towards our 2 year old. Location is great with direct buses to Waterloo and Lambeth North tube station on the doorstep. The spa was limited to 15 guests and was fully booked so we were unable to secure a booking the night before for the following morning which was a shame.

Fantastic experience: Room was super comfy, clean and spacious. The breakfast was really good. I ate in the restaurant twice in the evening and really enjoyed both meals. Used the gym and spa most days. Stayed for 5 days and I can’t fault this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would happily go back to this hotel.

Positive experience: Park Plaza London Waterloo was an interesting stay. We had a few issues throughout our short 3-day stay including the AC not working, our rooms phone battery was dead with no replacement batteries available, and the piece that the removable shower head was connected to was broken so it wanted to keep falling forward.. The reason that this review remains at a 4* is because the service we received and how they addressed our issues was top notch. We were very impressed by the hotels prompt action on our issues and their ability to solve them. Additionally, the hotels pool facilities and sauna were great and a wonderful way to spend our final evening. My only other issue, was that the lighting in the hotel can be very dark and the lights available are quite harsh. I would recommend they add in more ambient lighting to the shared spaces... To summarize, amazing service and the rooms overall were still good, but with all the tech, comes a lot of necessary maintenance which I’m not sure they had the maintenance staff numbers to address.
Negative experience: Hotel facilities are good - very bad service, even something like a room service for a panini takes 45 min. And the concierge still argues that if you order from Uber or Deliveroo takes more…. Ridiculous

Fantastic experience: Will stay again! PROs - great staff - child friendly in London city center - great location - good breakfast - comfortable bed - quiet - great spa and gym - train station nearby, a few pubs on the street nearby - restaurant offers good food - we had pizza and ceasars and those were great CONs - if not traveling with kids, the spa is probably too noisy before 8pm when the kids are sent out They offer you an option to opt out of daily cleaning for a bottle of wine or food vouchers, and in that case the room gets cleaned every 3rd day. We tried the service as the cleaning usually interrupts our childs naptime, and it was great.
Fantastic experience: We had a great stay at the Park Plaza. I want to especially give thanks to Ahmed in the Spa. He went out of his way to assist me with getting my boarding pass printed-not even his job! Great service from all the staff but Ahmed went beyond expectations.

Negative experience: I recently stayed at Park Plaza London Waterloo for a hen do with a large group of friends, and I must say, the experience was extremely disappointing, especially in terms of customer service. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were informed that our room wasn't ready, even though it was well past the check-in time of 3pm. The receptionist assured us that they would allocate an available room for us. However, when we finally reached our room, we were dismayed to find only two single beds and a two-seater sofa – clearly not suitable for accommodating three people as booked. When I approached the reception to address the issue, I was met with indifference. The receptionist insisted that this was the room we had booked and that all rooms were of that style for three people. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction and the inconvenience caused, I was offered no viable solution. The manager's response was equally dismissive, merely suggesting that the sofa could be unzipped to make a bed or I could seek accommodation elsewhere. Subsequently, a male attendant was sent to prepare the sofa bed while I was left to shower and get ready in the same room. The lack of apology for the room not being ready was glaring, and the entire ordeal was handled with a remarkable lack of empathy. To add insult to injury, the sofa bed itself was a nightmare. The metal springs dug uncomfortably into my back, rendering it virtually impossible to get a good night's sleep. It's appalling that a hotel of purported four-star quality would deem such an uncomfortable sleeping arrangement acceptable. Furthermore, the absence of basic amenities such as robes, slippers, cups, and towels for the third person only compounded our dissatisfaction. Overall, my experience at Park Plaza London Waterloo was marred by abysmal customer service, inadequate room preparation, and substandard amenities. I would caution anyone considering staying at this hotel to reconsider their options, as the quality of service and accommodation falls far short of the standards one would expect from a purportedly reputable hotel.

Positive experience: I have stayed many times at this hotel & just finished a stay this previous weekend. We had a lovely time. The hotel itself is lovely & the staff are equally just as nice…..however the bar!! The bar is atrociously over priced! I had a rum & coke and kept asking the bartender how much I’d would be but he kept ignoring me & would continue to pour my drink then proceeded to charge me £13!!! For a rum & coke! What a joke, stay away from the bar if you don’t want to be ripped off!

Fantastic experience: Very pleasant stay. Very busy hotel. Arrived early but had to wait until 1500 to check in. Our room faced the Hercules Restaurant. Although not a high room facing the London Eye, it was still a quaint view. All of the lighting and window shade were controlled by a panel. I wish there were a couple more lighting options. There is a sliding glass door in the bathroom. Sleek design, but offers little privacy. Also, the sliding door may be heavy for some. Full but unchanging breakfast buffet. They offer additional dishes you can order and purchase if you want diversity. They have a cafe in the mornings and a restaurant onsite for dinner. Great location and short walk to Westminster. A 1.2 mile walk to Borough Market (almost a straight shot). Everyone was very kind and professional. Very helpful Concierge service.

Positive experience: Hotel located a 1-minute walk from lambeth north station. In London, where accommodation costs are high, you can stay at a relatively reasonable price. It is a 7-minute walk to Waterloo Station, making it convenient to go anywhere in the city. Hotel facilities are standard. However, the restaurant where you can eat breakfast is not large, so you may have to wait during busy times. From the high floors (9th floor in the photo), there are no tall buildings around, so you can see a nice view.
