Halo Ledbury Swimming Pool

Fantastic experience: My daughter has weekly swimming classes here and always enjoys it. I used to be a member and loved the sauna! Friendly staff, always happy to help and great swimming teachers too.

Fantastic experience: My Granddaughter had her birthday pool party yesterday... the Staff are really amazing, helpful and very friendly... I have been, taken, done many a birthday party and would highly recommend the venue...we did self cater. Highly recommended and the kids loved it.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has swimming lessons at ledbury pool and the staff are all lovely. The swimming coach (Emily) has been great, she clearly is passionate about her job. My daughter was a little nervous when she moved into the next group and Emily went out of her way to speak to her and encouraged her to get in the pool to join the new coach. Thank you!

Positive experience: I swam here for a month while I was staying in Ledbury, the staff were all really nice and helpful and it was a great place to exercise during the cold months. I mostly used the pool to swim laps, so this is my review for that. Looked like there were lots of classes, and the upstairs gym always had open weight racks. During Swim For Fitness sessions there'd be three lanes open (slow / medium / fast). If I were the supreme overlord of the pool, I'd make it four lanes, because I wasn't quite fast enough to be in the fast lane, but was way too fast to be in the medium lane. Seems like the medium lane should be split into two. I have nothing else to think about when I swim, so I think about this. That said, it worked well, even if the schedule was a bit restrictive some days. Each session is about 55 minutes, so best to be on time!

Positive experience: I recently used the Ledbury swimming pool, run by Halo. I booked an early swim and sauna, the booking process was not as easy as it could have been, a lot of clicking boxes, but it was worth it. The pool was clean and not very busy, the sauna was relaxing. I will be going again soon, and there is a lot more to be explored, but I will expand the review once I have tried the activities. UPDATE! The sauna and steam room were open on alternate days but they have now changed to the sauna and steam room being open every day!

Negative experience: For your £7.50 you only get half a service! Sauna OR steam room, but not both on the same day. Management cut-backs! Misleading info on website. I was appalled!

Positive experience: Good size pool

Fantastic experience: First time in Ledbury branch on Tuesday, loved it! Good set up of machines, all the necessaries and a really good mix of people in there. Friendly staff that will happily help if needed but also don't breath down your neck when you want to just crack on being based in Bosbury this will easily be my regular!

Fantastic experience: Facilities are immaculate and the pool is quiet. My toddler 3.5 did the crash swimming course and now swimming lessons and all the staff are amazing with her (patient, fun but clear). She's making rapid progress and having immense fun. Cannot rate Halo Ledbury and the staff highly enough. It's brilliant.

Negative experience: Definitely don’t join ! £15 every few days if payment is missed so be careful that’s how they trap you .

Fantastic experience: Halo Ledbury has a good vibe. The staff are friendly, professional, helpful Gym is clean and spacious. Can also recommend taking sessions with the personal trainer there, really helps if you have a particular goal, or if you just want to learn how to make more of your time in the gym.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and tidy. Went with all the social distancing and gave covering policies in place. Worked very well. Changing area was spotless and very well maintained. Swimming pool as a good size and we got a good length of time to swim. Overall very impressed. Lots of car parking space. Shame Hereford pool isn't a modern as this set up.

Positive experience: Nice and clean, well kept etc. I only used the gym and the equipment was very nice. Two problems though: the changing rooms are small, only 1 shower in the gents and hardly a dozen lockers, surprising and it's a pretty big place. Secondly, far too many children, in the pool and the gym. Basically not a place for serious adults.

Fantastic experience: Used this pool as the local Malvern pool had turned all the different colours of the rainbow and was closed. However I will be returning to Ledbury Pool from now on. The changing rooms are warm, clean and tidy. Lockers are well positioned and showers were clean and hot. Price was also very reasonable for a general swim.

Negative experience: It would be nice if the gym could open on time, and it would be nice if a member of staff could tell others gym members to clean up after them self, the changing rooms are always dirty from the day before. Not happy with Xmas opening hour

Negative experience: I used the gym upstairs which was good as it was new however it lacked squat racks, dip bars and good cable machine. they did have a cable machine however you couldn't adjust where the cables came from. I didn't know if there was a toilet for the gym area, the only toilet was in the swimming pool changing rooms which was both slippery and very wet under foot. i also didn't want to enter because of hygiene reasons with my dirty shoes where bare feet will be. Even though they were given a budget of £2.3 million it wasn't anything more that any other gym i have been to.

Positive experience: Swimming pool is good and lessons are fun but they don't have long enough with the floats out.

Negative experience: The pool appears not to have been cleaned at all after the refurbishment. The tiles on the pool side are broken, many are covered in scum and the floor of the pool appears to have dust, dirt and rust patches. Even the steps into the pool appear dirty. Having spent so much money on refurbishment, which looks good, the pool looks shabby and unloved. It's a terrible shame and Ledbury swimmers deserve better.
