Fantastic experience: Friendly helpful staff, pool is comfortable temperature and plenty of changing rooms. Thumbs up from me.

Fantastic experience: Only used this place for my daughters swimming lessons, teacher are good that she has had. The only downside is that sometimes the classes seem to have a few to many students

Negative experience: My daughter was already having swimming lessons at the metrodome in Barnsley however I live at Mexborough so I thought I would move her to Wath as it was closer for me. Anyway she had completed stage 5 at metrodome so she had just moved up to stage 6 and thought this was the ideal time to do the switch. She had her first lesson at Wath and the swim teacher seemed to be loud mouthed and came across as a drill Sargent not a swimming instructor for a 9 year old child. Anyway on the day she had my daughter swim up and down doing lengths and then a 50 metre swim up and down non stop which she did without any issues. I was actually quite proud of her and at the end of the lesson I decided to have a quick word with the teacher and she said well in my opinion her breathing was not right and she would struggle in stage 6 and wanted to put her back to the beginning of stage 5 which she had already done and had the cerficate to prove this. This was all said in front of my daughter and upset her. I cancelled the lessons and moved her to dearne valley which is in denaby and guess what she is now at 42% through stage 6. So my gut instinct was right you lot at Wath are money grabbers and should be ashamed of yourselves! Also when I arrived with my daughter at Wath another little boy came out of the lesson crying I really would not recommend Wath swimming lessons at all.

Fantastic experience: Frequently visit the leisure centre to swim and gym, it is well maintained and clean throughout. The staff are customer focused and the facilities are good for the price paid.

Positive experience: Didn’t answer phone what so ever rung them 12 times didn’t once pick up and the pool is great tho so much fun but just need staff to start answering there phone because turned up and then they said only lane swimming so wasted my time when they could have just answered the phone and save me a job

Fantastic experience: Lovely local swimming pool. We went mid week, and it wasn't too busy. Brilliant staff, who even lent me a locker coin as I'd not brought a £1 with me. It's really clean. We will be going back again. The only thing to mention is that it's a duel set up for changing rooms, so men and women are not separate. There are cubicles, my friend and I were perfectly fine. I don't mind personally, but others might.

Positive experience: Very busy, took kids to have swimming lessons here, there's simply not enough seats and room, there's parents that just sit in the changing room throughout the kids lessons and blocking other people, after the lesson, kids are literally queuing to take a shower while shivering, the staff should probably move parents away from changing room, and not let them just sit there.

Positive experience: To attend Wath leisure centre you can either have one of a number of different memberships or pay as you go. They have a large number of exercise classes, a gym & two pools (main & small/teaching). The main pool has general swims and lane swimming sessions. Lane swimming starts early at 6.15am which is great for anyone wanting to get a swim in before work. The changing & shower facilities are mixed but there are group male/female rooms if needed. There are separate male/female toilets. There is a gallery where you can sit and watch the teaching pool & there are vending machines and the option to buy hot drinks from reception. They always have a good selection of swim wear & accessories on sale too. Staff are friendly, the pool always has a lifeguard on each pool and whenever I've been for general swims there is the radio on. The lifeguard pays attention and pulls up any untoward behaviour in the pool. There are lockers which accept a pound coin or same sized token with keys that strap like a watch strap for safety. They have mixed size where you can get at least 3 people's worth of stuff in the large locker and a smaller version. There are also mixed size changing cubicles with changing facilities at the back of the changing room. In the showers there is a disabled seat and shower section and there is a wheelchair accessible entrance in the foyer. I haven't noticed what other disabled access facilities they have. The changing rooms have two hair dryers plus blow dryers that can be redirected to face/hair too.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant facilities for toddlers and grown ups. Best swimming pool in the area for access into training pool.

Positive experience: I found the water FREEZING at the start to the point I was shivering. I then found out its because of the vents that run around the pool emitting cold air. After an hour, I started swimming and it was a pleasant experience. It was still quite cold though. Nice area, nice staff but cold water. It was still quite fun though cos I went with my family.

Fantastic experience: First time at your leisure centre for myself and granddaughter just went to swim in lanes. First impressions walking in was your reception ladies, everything was spot on really enjoyed it. We had a big shock on our way out to our car I can only describe it as chaos school was just out your carpark was like a war zone they was driving in , quick pick up of their kid's that was waiting for them and straight out.. we had to sit on the grass behind our car and wait 15mins to even try and get out.. that is our only down fall of your leisure centre shame you can't manage this, why do we have to go back to our car with proof we was using you centre when we incountered this

Negative experience: Don't rate at all. Took my 9 year old and 11 year old who are competent swimmers and after being in the deep end for a while a lifeguard then decided she didn't like how they were swimming and wouldn't let them in the deep end! If knew they had to be Olympic swimmers before they went in I would never have paid to go in. Will not be returning will stick to the other pools in the area that have never complained about their swimming before. 2 very upset little boys who have come away feeling rubbish and confidence knocked. Do not go

Positive experience: Had to go hear after Dearne Valley Leisure stopped all pool exercise classes. Very impressed with the set up.

Fantastic experience: Membership options are great and recommended if you plan to use regularly. The gym is not often full and there are gym classes to book on the app. The pool is clean and well maintained. My only issue is that the water is normally quite cold.

Positive experience: Took toddler and baby swimming. Lovely quiet swim session on a Sunday. Nice environment to get little ones used to pool. Will return. Only criticisms are: family/baby change cubicle far too small and awkward. Freezing between pool and changing rooms. Better to take towels to pool side.

Negative experience: Looks like they've removed a cap on Gym membership, To small a space with too many members. We've had a few occasions of turning up and leaving straight away as there was no equipment or space spare to use in the gym. A shame really, we're now looking elsewhere.

Positive experience: First Lane swimming session in a long time. It got quite busy at around 2015 on a Thursday. Changing rooms reasonably clean and showers aren't clap cold.

Positive experience: Great value for money and good facilities. Gym equipment has all recently been replaced so is new within last 3 months. Pool and changing facilities also good. Only vending machines are available for food and drink, would be great if there was a small café

Changing area has lockers with wristband and returnable £1.Plenty of cubicles to change and family changing rooms. Hairdriers available, showers, toilets. The pools are clean, 1 large, 1 training pool. ‍♀️I entered a prize draw and won free gym for December

Positive experience: The teaching pool is nice to take younger children, we had the entire pool to ourselves, however, you only currently get 45 mins which isn't quite long enough. The changing rooms smell of urine, which was really pungent.

Positive experience: I've been coming to this leisure centre for either the gym, classes or swimming for years. I've been today and have to say what a poor standard the female toilets are in! The smell is horrendous, they're dirty and not pleasant at all. I mentioned it to the receptionist and she did not seem the slightest bit interested at all!

Positive experience: This place is ok but the changing rooms very often smell. The vending machines hardly ever give change meaning it costs £1 for chocolate/crisps at the end of a swimming lesson.

Positive experience: Clean, lots to do, amazing facilities. Staff can be hit an miss, sometimes helpful sometimes not, feels like you have to stand about waiting for them to react to you at times. Come on ladies a few more smiles wouldn't hurt, but generally good. Can tend to be quite busy in reception area. Enjoy our weekly visits here. Swimming lessons are great.

Negative experience: Very dissapointed with wath leisure centre. Use to take my son there for swimming lessons. 18 months later still didnt have a single certificate to show for it.!! Asked about one to one tutors and no one bothered to contact me. So cancelled my direct debit and stopped taking him altogether. All that money spent for nothing.!! Wont be going there again.!!

Positive experience: Only used the swimming pool here, staff are usually friendly, everywhere is clean and tidy, it would encourage more to go if the pool was available for lane swimming with less restrictive periods. Having to always go in, pay then go back out to the car park with a pass is a tiresome burden of a process. Cold calls asking for increase in membership duration wasn't the best, particularly after saying yes and the second the payment cleared they hung up, at least a thank you and bye would have been nice.
