Negative experience: Bad experience, Cancelled my gym memebrship a few weeks ago and they still asked to pay a extra month even though i haven,t gone for a month. The equipment looks very rubish and looks like its been taken out the trash although staff are very nice and freindly.

Positive experience: Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is not much equipment for a heavy workout, but it's pretty good if you are doing circuit training. Me and my friend enjoyed our session at Energie.

Positive experience: good range of equipment but always something that’s broken. some exercise classes would be great

Negative experience: This place is very poorly run. Equipment is so old and always breaking. Owner is too lazy / tight to get these repaired. No air con so extreme hot in the summer. It's cheap but not worth the grief!

Fantastic experience: Good gym with almost everything needed to train body. If it is just fitness, you have different thread mills and many of them. Staff are also helpful and can guide in usage of the different machines.

Positive experience: This is a very affordable gym however… there have been at least 3+ machines out of service at a time, since I began my membership in summer. Of course this is no fault of the staff who are very friendly and so so welcoming!! But it really is a shame and I find myself contemplating ending my membership each month when I don’t get to use the machines I would like to and should go elsewhere:( Otherwise it is a nice gym but as with most places it’s gets quite busy and there are times you’d probably like to avoid in the evenings.

Fantastic experience: Good gym and friendly staff, I recommend opening it earlier on the weekend .

Positive experience: This is a good cheap option for a gym with its competitive prices. There is a decent range of equipment and everything is normally functioning with no issues. However, you get what you pay for. There are not many additional services associated with a membership and the interior is old with old and worn machines. However, this is not an issue for me. I am happy to pay a little less as long as everything is functioning. I would recommend this gym for someone who is looking for access to equipment, doesn't want to break the bank, and doesn't mind an older environment with older equipment.

Negative experience: Fix the equipment machines will break for months

Not sure what some people are talking about saying 300 people there Definitely not true Plus if you didn’t know, world events have resulted in many parts and supply chain shortages - especially for specialty equipment

Negative experience: Friendly staff but equipment is out of order for months on end. The assisted pull up michine has been out of order since I started going 2 year ago and now the pec fly is out of order since September and the leg curls is out of order as of today along with a step michine. Dosnt inspire confidence things out of order right after using them . Things need to be serviced.

Negative experience: i've been in this gym for the first time, the worst gym ever, Was only a few machines there 300 people in there. And you have to wait half an hour for the shower to become hot water. You need to wait for the bloody machine until the person finish about 40 minutes because there wasn't enough machines, The body gets cold and you still waiting for the Machine, That is a disaster, I wouldn't recommend to nobody to come in this gym. The worst gym ever!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing customer service from the gentleman at Energie fitness this morning. I was allowed a free trial with absolutely no commitment to join, and no pressure from him, which made me want to join even more! Thanks for your help, even though its not your usual shift!

Fantastic experience: So i trained here now for 2 weeks,and there is the same 3 machines down all the time..cant understand how fixing something so simple is taking this long.. if i pay full price i expect to have working machines.. please hurry up and fix them,or if its not possible then just change the whole machine. Small update, the machines are now fixed, so happy days

Positive experience: Small gym, but atmosphere is great.

Positive experience: Overall the gym is great regarding my necessities - good range of equipment and not as busy as other gyms so possibility to do all you need. My only complaint is that things that break down never get repaired (have seen a few machines with the sign of “out of order” for months, as well as a locker in the bathroom which is also acknowledged as broken).

Fantastic experience: A proper raw gym, this is a solid gym for hitting weights hard and / or doing cardio. No fluffy towels here. Friendly staff.

Positive experience: It's fine, usually full of meat heads that think screaming at the top of their lungs while squatting is ok and normal. Everything is pretty tired and needs a revamp

Positive experience: The gym is lacking a great deal of new equipment. Management is below par. Customer relations are near enough gone. The barbells are losing weight where the plastic is coming off of them. I've been here for over 7 years and it's the worst it's been. Have decent pricing for a month. They got a joining fee of 10 pounds at present. Showers and bathrooms aren't too bad but sometimes miss a day of cleaning or two. Staff are friendl y space is good for workouts .

Negative experience: No clock in the gym for last 4 weeks, asked somebody at the gym office, reply "not my problem". Please let me know if you would like me to get a clock for free!!! MANJ

Fantastic experience: Artem is definitely the best personal trainer in the city. I knew Artem from a long time just as a guider at énergie Fitness. Until I decided to start my fitness journey with him, it was a choice that I’ll NEVER regret it in my entire life. Artem is the type of personal trainer who treat his clients as his friends, he has changed a lot in my life during this 3 months, especially my bad habits: sleeping late, eating unhealthy meals and organising my whole schedule. He’s very humble and down to earth, and most importantly that he pushes me and encourages me to a limit I never thought I’ll reach. I’ve been going twice a day to the gym for more than a month to reach my goal which is 100kg by the end of 2021. Without you I wouldn’t have the mindset to be where I’m mentally and physically as well. Positive experience: Pretty good gym. Helpful staff, decent facilities. Toilets and shower blocks are surprisingly very good. And the prices are quite affordable.

Fantastic experience: Had my first day at the gym today and it was great, good section of machines and free weights, also a nice outdoor balcony to workout on. Had an induction with Artem who was great, helped us with what workouts we should do to achieve our goals and what to eat, he was great. Highly recommended this gym and staff.

Fantastic experience: The staff of energie fitness are very friendly and engaging. There is a wide range of equipment and classes. This gym even has a balcony you can workout on with unobstructed views of Canterbury Cathedral.

Negative experience: Well what can i say , just avoid at all costs . Very rude staff i have been going to gyms for years and i can safely say i would not go back in there even if they paid me !!!!

Negative experience: a shambles - crooks - avoid . Like many ex members below I have had 12 months of gym fees deducted through 20-21 , despite e mail confirmation of the gym acknowledging my 'freezing' of the membership through lockdown. I am taking the gym to court - i advise other ex members of which there are many (read blow) to do the same .

Fantastic experience: The coach is very professional and details oriented. The coach also told me how to eat every day. Very good to me. The gym environment is also very good.

Negative experience: I went to this Gym for more than a year, after COVID -19 first lockdown I never been to this Gym. I decided to cancel my membership due to my financial overstretch. I try to Email but no response and no other communication means. Please help me to Cancel my membership, I have to cancel my Direct Debit, I cannot effort to pay every month. Very Poor communication. ( All Email I wrote was undelivered respond )

Negative experience: I went to this gym for 5 months and everything was fine. However,when I wanted to cancel my contract they prevented me from doing so for 2 years including now after numerous calls and emails. They said it could be done online without providing a link and when I found this link on google it didn't work. They blatantly refuse to stop charging me and cancelling the direct debit will affect my credit. After taking legal advice it turns out that this shady and fraudulent behaviour is 100% legal. Avoid this gym AT ALL COSTS unless you plan on going there forever. They are a very evil organisation who will extort you for every penny you have.

Fantastic experience: I joined energie fitness after having it recommended by a few different gym users so decided to give it a go .and have to say the recommendations were spot on very friendly atmosphere not over crowded never have to wait to get on a machine or bench all the equipment you could possibly need not at all clickey like some big name gyms absolutely love the place give it a try you will not be disappointed

Fantastic experience: I would just like to share my experience of joining Energie Gym in Canterbury Being in my senior years I was sceptical about even approaching a gym. I was so glad I did!! I was welcomed by all staff, I feel that I can ask any advice at any time and staff are always willing to show, hands on, any equipment or techniques that may help. Artem Olekhnovych has been amazing and has helped me not only with exercises but also with explaining how the body reacts to exercise and food. We have a weekly review and from there he advises on next course of action. Come on – join now – you really will feel the benefit

Fantastic experience: A good gym with a broad selection of equipment to suit an array of work out styles and goals. Manager is very friendly and helpful. I've been training with Artem, doing some good PT sessions for several months. He's very helpful and takes a no-nonsense approach to help you achieve your goals. Overall good gym with knowledgeable staff. There really isn't anything to fault here.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in Canterbury by far. There is a really nice friendly and helpful vibe in there which you can see filters down from the Manager. Highly recommend this gym. Also good for PT's if you are looking for one on one - this is this place for you.

Negative experience: The staff is very friendly and helpful, the gym is also super cheap! But the equipment is old, not maintained properly and there is no Ventilation!! During winter, the windows of the gym are fully open and its terrible, as the treadmills are just next to the widow, so it's the same as running outside, breathing in the pollution and freezing. But I guess it's what you get for the money so definitely not the right place for me.

Fantastic experience: I never went to the gym much before and was quite intimidated by the whole thing, energie fitness made it a wonderful experience with great equipment and staff that always say hello and happy to help if you're not sure what to do! Not too busy and a great atmosphere to exercise in. Never thought I'd be a gym goer but thanks to this gym I've been going regularly for over a year! Not to mention very affordable!

The amount of equipment there is for the amount you pay is fantastic, and the fact that you can join any class you like as part of your membership is amazing. All of the facilities are great, and they are still adding in more! Unfortunately I no longer work in the area so have had to cancel my membership, however I fully recommend this gym to anyone looking for one!

Fantastic experience: More than 5 olympic 20 kg barbells, squat rack, smith machine, dumbbells (at least 2 pairs) going from 1 kg to 50 kg, 2 bench press, inclined bench press, at least 30 m by 20 m floor area and a separate room, 3 rowing machines 8+ treadmills, plus lots of other machines - this is a very well equipped gym with excellent atmosphere and I do recommend it. The management listens and are always trying to do the best for their clients. Well done!

Fantastic experience: This local gym has very student friendly prices! All the staff are welcoming and always willing to help. The atmosphere is positive so I never feel intimidated when I come to work out. And there are 3 different sections which help me to organise my workouts e.g. weights section; cardio section; and stretch and functional area where I do my circuits. The staff here are motivational and make my experience fun, especially my PT Artem. Highly recommend énergie Fitness Canterbury! :) xx

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for 6-7 months and all this gym has done is move up and up! Might be a bit cheesy but it’s made some serious gains! Rochelle, Saskia, James, Federico, and Artem all welcoming friendly people and they all specialise in different areas of fitness so no matter what your goals are, they’re able to help, true professionals! Highly reccomend this gym to anyone especially beginners as it’s very hard and rare to find a gym that ticks all the box’s like this one does.

Fantastic experience: Go 4 to 5 times a week, staff are lovely and going when it's not to busy is always great but even at it's busiest it's still easy to get the most out of the equipment. Lots of different exercise machine's to use and endless amounts of free weights. Been a member for year now.

Fantastic experience: I'm 32 years old, socially awkward and never been to a gym in my life, so I felt I had to write this review. I had my induction today at the Canterbury branch and It was not what I expected at all, The staff are nicer than some 5 star hotels, these guys are pro's, I had no idea what I was doing or how I should act at a gym, I had a lovely personal trainer show me around and show me how to use all the different gym equipment with a nice segment on info about what I want to achieve, how long I should be there and how often. I walked in there today a nervous wreck and walked out much more confident and am actually looking forward to going back there and starting working on the new me. so for all the people who are nervous, seriously don't worry, these guys go at a nice slow pace for all the newbies like me.

The music is varied and the outside terrace is lovely to exercise in the summer. There is a range of equipment so something for everyone. I really love Fit4Less Canterbury and would recommend it!

Positive experience: Overall a good size gym at a proper price. The equipment is a bit dated in some areas but it also has a few unique bits of kit (although old) that alot of Canterbury gyms don't have. Worth a trial run to judge for yourself.
