Positive experience: Nice gym

Positive experience: The gym is located in a very convenient place with ample parking. The facilities in the gym are really good. But the number of equipment is very limited compared to the larger member group and the fact that it is open 24/7. Except equipment quantity, it is a very decent gym in the neighbourhood.

Negative experience: I've only given one star because there's no way to give less than that. It was my first time at the gym as I was there with my wife to join the gym. Doors have fingerprint scanners so we were not able to go in. Luckily, there was a sign that asked to ring the door bell (I'm assuming for first timers like me). I rang the bell about five times and stood out there for close to half an hour while I heard their staff frolicking and just messing around (I could see them through the glass). Eventually, a customer came out (after several other customers), asked if we used the door bell to which we replied yes, and her response was "They're there. They're just lazy". Waited another 3-5 minutes and I left when no one attended to us. Terrible experience

Fantastic experience: It’s usually a busy gym with plenty of parking spaces. Good thing is it’s open 24/7. Reasonable rates with good instructors. All classes are free to attend, just book in advance.

Negative experience: Blokes in the mens changing rooms on video calls while others are changing. I complained and asked for a notice to be put up. Head office didn't think a sign was an appropriate way to convey the information, so it continues.

Positive experience: They open 24-hour. most of the time they tidy up and the staff are extremely friendly

Negative experience: This gym has gone down the drain. DO NOT JOIN. 2 showers have been broken for 5/6 weeks now and have had a sign on to say they will be getting fixed but nothing yet. The other 3 showers have the worst water pressure. You have to que to shower. The sauna is also broken with a sign up to say it will be fixed but god knows when. The lockers in the men’s changing rooms are 50% broken. Overall the changing rooms, toilets and showers have a really bad smell and it’s like they are never cleaned, I’ve never seen the shower get cleaned and I’m there at different times everyday. When speaking to staff they just say they will get things sorted but nothing gets done. I’m just waiting for my membership contract to finish so I can leave. I’ve been to most gym in Middlesbrough Stockton and there are a lot better gyms with better hygiene.

Negative experience: To anyone considering joining. Was great when it opened up, been here 8 years or so now. Pros: Management are great, just level minded. Cons: Eastern European loud mouthed chavs are here now and ruining the gym vibe. Gym equipment out for months now it beyond a joke. Join join join is the moto. No one cares if its packed lile sardines. Time to move on for me, shame as it was decent. Advice for exec level: up your prices to £40 a month so the Chavvy scum cant afford it.

Negative experience: Very very bad services, no cleaning, gym is 24 hours open but no staff after 10 pm , smell in the gym same like a toilet, many times emails sent to management but always one reply we have one cleaning staff in night, if its a gym then why a cleaning staff in night instead of a trainer or another member, if someone got injured who will gave first aid?? They said our cleaners are trained for first aid and after 10 there is no cleaner and i had been never seen any cleaning staff at night. Will cancel my membership soon i got another option .

Negative experience: Been a member of this gym for 5 years. Got burgled twice on two separate occasions. Once a bike stole right outside the gym and second time someone breaking into my locker and taking my personal belongings including a car key, reported to the management and dealt with very unprofessionally. Had wasn’t bothered attitude and didn’t want to show the cctv footage, very bad service, feel very unsafe and not help. Would not recommend anyone going to this gym.

Positive experience: Heard a lot of good things about this gym from my partner and thought I try it out, went in around 9:30pm and rang the bell for assistance as I was a new member, no one came for a good 25 minutes but was eventually met by the cleaner who told me that all the members of staff had already left? Considering this is a 24 hour gym shouldn’t there be members of staff constantly present if an emergency was to break out? Or if a piece of equipment broke and injured a member and emergency services needed to be called? I don’t understand the logic behind it but I’m still going to be trying this gym and hopefully my mind will be changed.

Positive experience: Fab gym, lovely atmosphere. I've been coming here for years. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because members that attend the gym during the night tend to leave weights out and leave a mess.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym due to the warm and friendly atmosphere. I hadn't been to a gym for many years but so happy I joined Lifestyle as I am really enjoying it. All the staff are so friendly and supportive and nothing is too much trouble . Love the idea of the fact there is a dedicated ladies area and that I can go anytime of the day or night.

Negative experience: Still waiting for my refund its been 4 weeks. Worst staff on accounts rang them few time but still waiting for my refund its been 2 months now.

Positive experience: It's got everything I need and it's very near home. Some machines could do with upgrades but for now it is all I need.

Negative experience: Rude unhelpful staff, showers that are always freezing, sauna that's never turned on, and trying to cancel a membership is like trying to walk on water. Avoid.

They decided to take 2 last payments because I didn’t give them a notice that i was going to cancel my membership. Seriously shocking! Will never come back here again!

Negative experience: Lifestyle fitness is a good gym overall but one member of staff treated my friend and I with such disrespect that we have decided to cancel our membership just because we were using the bikes in the spin studio. Other members of staff have had no problem with us using it but this one member treated my friend and I with such disrespect we have both now cancelled our memberships. Also, two other friends are going to cancel their membership due to the level of disrespect shown to my friend and I as we were treated as children and not as people who have paid to be there, just like all the others using the gym.

Fantastic experience: Not a bad Gym at all but it is out the way from UNi. As a student the UNi gym does everything I need but if you want a more professional and established gym I highly recommend lifestyle fitness.
