Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing place to swim for lessons especially the fantastic instructor staff at crosby leisure centre

Positive experience: If you are going to visit the Gormley iron men on Cosby beach you need a cafe. Cafe in sports centre did nice range of seasonal hot chocolates and coffees Warm seating area overlooking pool. Friendly staff. Car parking available here too

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a first swimming lesson today (4pmish) and I hadn't been here before. The 2 ladies behind the front desk couldn't be more helpful with directions and what goggles I should buy for my daughter. Both literally burst with 5* customer service! And the lady in the cafe was the same she was so friendly, polite, chatty and brilliant with my 2 kids! Brilliant first impression xx

Negative experience: Neglected polluted beach, rubbish, plastic, black oil etc potentially can be amazing if invested in it.. Recreational center is with a very small pool. Miserably no view there to see the sea . Not very good to be in the beach coffee shops abd can't see water. Just closed area.. Needs a visionary thinking in the brilliant promising area. A lot can be done..

Fantastic experience: I like this place a lot, it's clean, the personnel very friendly and helpful, people that come here are good, I been in other gyms in town and its less civilised over there. The sunset and the walk to the beach it's a plus, it's a lovely place overall with tons of activities, classes, and things to keep you healthy and strong.

Positive experience: Great gym with good aircon, Lots of equipment and all new. Though it does get busy at peak times. Helpful instructors. Good choice of classes. Pool is a decent size. Very handy for warm up or cool down walk on the beach. They also have a cafe here as well as vending machines and water stations.

Negative experience: Place needs updating, everything looks and feels unloved, unclean. Using the pool area is not nice, water in the pool is freezing, the family pool was covered on my visit so couldn't be used. As a new swimmer I wanted to stay by the side where I feel safer which I explained but I was forced to move more into the middle as they had some sort of lessons on, but they stayed down the deep end where I was avoiding anyway?! Mixed changing area with cubicles but kids were trying to climb up to look over, no private showers to wash off properly after swimming, one working hairdryer but so weak as to be useless. 20p for the lockers, would be better if you could use your own padlock. Have joined another gym in the area instead, much fresher, nicer and stuff works!

Fantastic experience: What a great place, the beach is clean and seems to go on forever and the leisure centre has everything that you could want, they've even thought about putting very clean portable toilets outside for when the centre is closed and it's all free including the parking. I'll be going there every weekend from now on even in the winter.

Negative experience: Should be dog friendly for well behaved dogs as many people visit the beach and take their dogs. They often travel from afar there. The leisure centre cafe are missing custom from dog owners.

Negative experience: This place is a joke. It used to be a public swimming baths, but now general swim times are only 10 till 12. The council has sold yet another of our amenities off to the lowest bidder. It's impossible to book a swim with your kids on the website and the ill educated 'customer service' staff are trained to keep non members out. Disgusting place run by a disgusting company.

Fantastic experience: Parkrun at Crosby beach this morning... Gorgeous!

Fantastic experience: Didn't actually go in the leasure Centre. But it looked good from outside. Just went for a walk along the beach watching a battle ship sail by (The Portland). Meet some lovely locals who were very friendly and full of info.

Positive experience: We visit here a few times a week, midway through our 7 mile coastal walk. Very friendly, chatty staff. They make a good brew, also plenty of snacks if hungry.

Fantastic experience: Joined several months back, really good gym with plenty of new equipment. Can't comment for the classes and pool yet but the place is always busy so must he equally as good as the gym itself. Busy at peak times as you'd expect but never a problem finding equipment to use.

Positive experience: Only went to the café - we were out and about and by the beach and it was warm and dry with ground coffee and toilets. The accessible toilet was locked the whole time we were there which made my life a lot harder as I didn't know that before drinking a coffee! The other toilets were much harder for me to use but at least possible for me on crutches: others would not have managed. Predictably as it's by the dunes, the other toilets were not very clean. A coat hook to keep bags and coats off the wet sandy floor would be a useful addition. The cafe overlooks the swimming pool where some kids were obviously enjoying their swimming lessons and both pools look fab. The coffee was a little bit weak for us - probably a bit too much water in the americano, or not a double shot, but probably as the machine makes it. It was warm and welcome though. The lady serving was friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Recently joined the gym.. You have to pre book for lane swimming and classes. But it works out well, I think as it makes you go, as you have booked. Lots of different classes available from circuit to spinning, yoga and dance classes. You can use the gym anytime too!

Negative experience: The swimming changing facilities are disgusting really unclean and tired needs updating. Pool is freezing and avoid the swimming lessons for children they are poor quality and way too many children in the lessons impossible to provide good teaching for them .

Positive experience: Great for a swim membership. Rarely have problems. Although take the lane speeds with a pinch of salt as they're never enforced. Never been to any of the classes either in the pool or out but people look like they enjoy them. Was a member of the gym for a while. Not great. Even with the new equipment still very cramped. Quite cliquey and doesn't feel very inclusive, especially in the free weights sections Staff usually very friendly and helpful. Front desk quite often not covered, especially when it's not as busy

Fantastic experience: I do archery every Sunday in the courts there is also a pool small cafe there is a lot to do and you are right next to the beach a Crosby good for dog walkers .

Positive experience: I love this walk. The Merseyside estuary coast is a alluring combination of history,industrial docklands, sand dunes And modern art. On a day with bright blue autumnal sky's it's a wonderful place to walk.

Fantastic experience: Back for the 2nd time, I spent the day on a Social Impact Day cleaning the beach with work colleagues. We had bags, gloves, and litter pickers collecting lots of rubbish. Receiving appreciation and the thank you's from passing people was so rewarding.

Negative experience: has gone down hill its like sefton council don't give a dam foot path is blocked not disabled friendly at all

Fantastic experience: Excellent place to visit on your own or with family or friends, Excellent beach and good walks

Positive experience: Swimming lessons not great. Very slow to progress child sometimes seems like going backwards and the price increases all the time. There are a couple of good instructors and we have moved days several times in order to get one of them only for one of the younger more inexperienced instructors to take over. Very slow to assess. Mostly just the same swimming up and down each lesson not much teaching going on unfortunately.

Positive experience: Great place ... weather was brilliant..... sea views with the cast iron men ..good beach prom walks... many visitors and lots of people with dogs on leads ...plus coffee bar in swimming baths .. Ice cream van adds to the flavour...

Fantastic experience: Brilliant local pool with an amazing new lifeguard Imogen. Been attending this pool and the previous pool since I was a child. I would highly recommend as a great pool in the area. Professionally staff who are dedicated to the cause.

Negative experience: The beach had quicksand and the lifeguard didn't warn us and my mom got stuck so I had to save her because they did nothing.

Positive experience: We were late getting there so we had a bite to eat think it closed about 3 pm nice clean friendly place staff brilliant .

Positive experience: Came here to the cafe after a long walk on the beach only to be told that I couldn't have a bowl of water for my dog because of covid. We bought three drinks and a packet of crisps which she happily handed over but said she couldn't give us a bowl of water for the dog because of covid. I thought that was very strange.

Fantastic experience: The beach is a fun place. Parkrun held here on a Saturday, various exercising opportunities, yoga, boxercise etc

Fantastic experience: Like the fact you don't need a paid membership to access the centre. The pay per use option is fabulous.

Positive experience: Gym and public pool. Good variety of classes with fabulous instructors and well equipped gym. Could be cleaner.

Negative experience: Be VERY careful what you are signing up for. I only wanted a months membership but ended up being charged the following 2 months as well without even realising!! When I asked for them to cancel I had to give a further months payment in order to get out of it. So my one month ended up costing me over £120!!! I realize that I should have noticed these other payments going out but feel the centre could have used their discretion and allowed me to cancel without charging me another monthly fee,they could see surely i hadn't even been in since my first month because I assumed my months membership was done. Really couldn't afford to waste this money so felt sickened by this situation. Feel mislead by the website. Don't want other people to make same mistake.

Negative experience: Cafe Vita - awful! This cafe used to be great but has gone totally downhill. It states on the website that it serves a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, pastas etc but is not true..they have a small selection of sandwiches and the last few times they haven't even has chips or ketchup etc! Hopeless! The lady who runs the cafe is totally unhelpful and uninterested. This cafe is a let down for an otherwise great centre and some massive improvements need to be made.

Positive experience: went for American Wrestling Event. kids loved it. great atmosphere friendly meet an greet would go again. staff in the centre itself let the place down closing the toilets whike event was still active making it difficult with disabled kid present

Fantastic experience: Pic is of the docks from the beach on a very blustry wet day as it was getting dark. The person you can see standing is a statue and when you get up close to them they are amazing to see. On a nice day this would be a nice place to visit for a beach day

Negative experience: Popped in for a coffee today and to use the toilets, no paper in the toilets, no hand-wash either. Another poor experience
