Fantastic experience: Great gym setup and pool is decent too

Negative experience: Not ideal for those wanting to actually swim. Have been a few times now on different days and not yet seen the 2 smaller pools in use by the public or the main pool open in it's entirety. The last time I went, the main pool was split into 6 lanes... with public swim being just 1 of those lanes while the others were all taken by swimming clubs not noted on the schedule so impossible to avoid. With the exception of 1 lane for lane swimming that was fully occupied and even had an argument break out because of teenagers messing around in it and ignoring lifeguards. So there was essentually 1 lane full of cramped adults trying to swim and kids jumping everywhere and stopping them because they had nowhere else to go. Terrible experience. Ended up leaving earlier than I wanted as I couldn't even get to the wall because of people just standing there packed in like sardines. Won't be returning. The schedule needs to be fully transparent and they need to stop taking admission payments when they're clearly over capacity. On a lighter note, the ladies on reception are wonderful.

Negative experience: A nice gym, well presented and great staff BUT over the past 6 months it has got extremely busy. People using the weights for far too long (30 min max) but some are on these for 45 mins, younger gym goers (groups of 4/5) chatting whilst using the benches etc and taking up a lot of workout time for other users. And why aren't staff keeping an eye on time spent on benches/equipment etc? I don't have a lot of time and my workouts are taking over 80 mins because I'm waiting around for equipment. Unfortunately I won't be using Waterworld gym now for this reason.

Fantastic experience: There is plenty of car parking, but times and prices are a bit odd. Pool is a decent size with one wide lane for doing lengths. Flume and rapids are a bit tame. Good cafe and very helpful staff. Coffee is good. £4.65 per person but free entry for watchers. Easy to get to from the A483.

Negative experience: Good swimming baths but i just heard water babies so too take your baby to a swim sesh they want 160 quid upfront for 10 weeks. Thats disgraceful. Pay per sesh not good enough, they want your money. Not much care for ya kid just want your money. If you dont like it? Tough you paid 10 weeks upfront. Gentrification maybe.

Positive experience: I have always loved Wrexham baths from when I was a child and tried to stay loyal and continue taking my own child but it’s just too cold. I took my 2 year old a few times but his lips were shaking and turning blue after a few minutes. It’s such a cold pool and when I have tried to speak to the staff about it they say it’s at the regulated temperature! Well it’s too cold! We go to Plas Madoc now. It’s lovely and warm there! And cheaper for a warmer pool!

Fantastic experience: This is mine and my boys favourite swimming pool. £14 for a family which I think is a very reasonable price esp at the moment with cost of living and that is for as long as you like between 9-5 and Sundays too. Free parking after 11. Facilities are clean and smell clean-who doesn't like that chlorine smell! Our favourite part is the lazy river it's so much fun. Boys of course love the slide. Water temps can be abit up and down. Sometimes its a lovely warm temp sometimes it's freezing but really doesn't matter much.

Positive experience: Glad Ive joined this leisure centre. Majority of the staff are so welcoming and friendly however there is one woman on reception whos customer service skills need looking into! On two seperate occasions she has been unfriendly and rude. From speaking to other members shes like that with everyone

Positive experience: Nice clean gym although on the small side and some of the material in the equipment is taped over to hold it together. Changing and shower facilities are good although again it’s on the small side. Choice of classes is good and better than Total Fitness and membership is cheaper with no contract which is a plus.

Negative experience: Smelt of wee by the showers the changing rooms were filthy especially the baby changing. The pool side staff are not even approachable especially the young ones who have an attitude not polite what so ever. Faces looking like they don't want to be there. To top it off payed £4.50 for me an my 2 year old to swim. We had 15mins in the small pool 15 mins in the rapids then was made to go in the big pool baring in mind my child is 2 shocking nothing at all for a child to swim won't be coming again waste of money!

Positive experience: Toilets could do with a good clean, the water for the showers could be longer, not enough pools under 2.00 meters open at all times or are available for young /none strong swimmers. Only left with baby pool and the 2.00 meter pool Could do with an upgraded adding more pools and and slides etc.. Would also be nice adding more free swim days too

Negative experience: Me and my friend took our babies swimming and We arrived here at 4pm to be told that the baby pool was closed, the lift is bloody tiny and just about fit me and my baby’s pram in it. The floor in the actual changing rooms was disgusting and looked like it hadn’t been brushed in about a week, the lifeguard then told us we were only aloud to stay in a tiny corner of the pool with our babies and their little floats so we took them out of their floats and went a bit further to then be bombarded with ‘you’re not allowed over here with a baby’ so we were confused. We paid £5.80 to stand in a tiny corner for 1 hour. The rapids didn’t start for another hour and then I gave my friend my baby and went to grab my phone to take a pic of her to then come back to the lifeguard telling me friend that I’m not allowed to take a picture unless I sign a form which I wasn’t aware about, he was very rude about it. I then signed the form and took a pic then we left because of how rude the staff were. Will not be returning

Fantastic experience: We went to the water world while we were visiting north Wales. Pool and facilities were very good and clean. My son lost his watch there and didn’t realise it until we came home. The staff were kind and friendly when we spoke to them on the phone, they found the watch and posted it to our address in South Wales on recorded delivery for free of charge as a goodwill gesture . Thank you so much for your kindness and help

Negative experience: Quite the experience. Our group were shouted at to leave after being too rowdy and apparently splashing water at other people, poorly explained rules, we probably wouldn't of done that if on the rules board it had said those things.

Negative experience: Very disappointing. My phone and car keys were stolen from a changing room locker. My car was stolen. Since then, I have still not been contacted by the organisation, receiving no apology nor information regarding any changes that will be made to prevent this from happening in the future. Anyone considering going, please be aware.

Negative experience: Public swimmimg baths, closed on a bank holiday weekend for a swimming Gala. No money sense in that at all. Facilities are great, the kids usually love it. Plas madoc is 20 mins away much better.

Positive experience: Generally good. It's not an expensive place, charging £13 for a family of 4. The slide and rapids were on. The place has a hot tub also. The kids loved it there. I wish they'd turn the heating up by 1c - it would make a big difference I'm sure.

Fantastic experience: Great facility, not just swimming, there's a gym, sauna and other activities, you can grab a bite to eat which is not too expensive, kids can join free and swim free on a Saturday.

Positive experience: Great value for money, for us, 4 children and 2 adults it was less than £15. It was clean all round and safe lockers to use for our clothes and valuables. Good variety of pools too so something to suit toddlers to adults.

Fantastic experience: Very good fitness classes and top class instructors.Refurbishment is now over and very impressive hi-tech spin studio is in place.Body Jam and the Les Mills classes are personal favourites.I also recommend Omnia circuits in the gym.Swimming is great and Aquafit classes are popular.Very friendly and an encouraging vibe.

Positive experience: The place was warm. The pool was busy, but the changing cubicles and toilet cubicles were a bit rough around the edges. There was grime and stains on the cubicle walls, I think they could do with a revamp or good cleaning.

Positive experience: Find a time to go when more of the pool is open if you want to swim freely. If going with children you may want to check the slide will be open before you visit.

Positive experience: Great Gym to enjoy. Staff and other gym goers are a lot more friendlier than other places. It's clean, modern state of the art Gym equipment and has everything you need. As for the pools, good pool facilities, not so great when families and kids crowd the place especially during holidays. The spa area especially gets crowded with unattended kids dive bombing and doing all sorts that the life guards are meant to manage but seldom are able to when speaking to them. Rather than a relaxing unwinding time in the spa, get ready for unruly kids doing whatever they feel like... considering they're meant to be supervised until a certain age they could do with making the spa an adults only area like other pool facilities do.

Negative experience: jesus wept i made use of this facility very few days ago, the amount of gunk in the pool was outrageous, my grandson swam here and now i think hes got chlorine poisoning he hasn't slept for days on end. Fuming with the changing room as some little squirt decided to watch me get changed as he was peeking underneath

Negative experience: Not very family friendly. Went after booking time off work for an extremely rare family day with my wife and 3 children. My daughter and son, whose birthday it was, wanted to go swimming so my partner dropped in to see if we would need to book as a family of 5, they said no problem. A 40 minute around journey home to pick up towels and costumes, we return with our 3 toddlers to be told they operate a strict 1:1 adult:child policy and we wouldn't be allowed in without a 3rd adult. The first time we have come across this as a family and would like to know where exactly they expect parents to find a 3rd adult? Ended up with tearful toddlers for the rest of the day who can't understand why we won't ever be able to go swimming there again for the foreseeable

Positive experience: This place is way to hot to sit and watch the swimming, so glad the lesson was only 45 minutes. Now using the centre, staff friendly and knowledgeable, trainers know their strengths.

Fantastic experience: Waterworld Wrexham is the best fun swimming facility i have found for many miles around outside of travelling to its namesake in Stoke or up to Southport or Blackpool. I travel from Ellesmere port (30 mins by car) as this is by far better than anything else near chester, the wirral and Liverpool. 5 pools inc 25m 6 lane main pool 2 smaller kids pools, a rapids pool with air bubble seats and other water features and then a spa bubble pool. On top of this there is a decent slide for use with donut rings. On top of this they have a decent gym containing modern technogym equipment, large freeweights area and fuctional space with 8 station rig. A studio space and state of the art virtual cycle studio top off the facilities. Well worth a visit if you have never been and definitely worth the travel from further afield if you have kids.
