Hi Mark, the Aquagym has been a mainstay in Cowdenbeath for over a decade, before lockdown we did have a budget put aside to replace the equipment. However largely due to Brexit the cost of the importing the equipment has greatly increased, unfortunately at this stage we are not sure if it is possible.

Hi Wendy, we agree that the changing area could do with an update and we are pleased to let you know that some upgrades are in the pipeline. Further details will be shared once dates confirmed. If you use the leisure centre for just swimming, did you know that a monthly membership is less than £20 per month for unlimited swimming? This cost is less at £13.90 if you are eligible for concession discounts. If you are swimming just once per week a monthly membership is worth considering. Visit our website or ask at reception on your next visit about this.

Hi Fiona, we are glad you enjoy your visits to the centre. Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre is managed by Fife Sports and Leisure Trust and we would just like to confirm that we have not changed the water temperature. The ambient temperature within the building may seem colder at this time of the year, this can make you feel colder when not fully submerged in the water.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review and for the 4 star rating Kepler Mission. If you visit our website you can see our prices, we don't have any that are more expensive at weekends, in fact several prices are actually cheaper at the weekends. Did you know Google has a handy graphic that highlights the times that the centre is busiest. This may help you avoid busy periods, but as you stated yes the weekends are the busiest. We don't want to contradict a local song, however we can confirm that the vast majority of Cowdenbeath residents now own a TV :)

Hi Dylan, Thank you for spending time to leave us a review. We are sorry the standards you experienced did not meet your expectations. At Cowdenbeath Leisure centre we try hard to create a welcoming, clean and enjoyable experience. We are aware of the sand from our filter system on the pool floor area and we are working hard to resolve this. The pool floor is cleaned with our underwater hoovered and the water tested regularly. Regarding the showers, the intermittent loss of pressure has been reported and this is been investigated. Once again we can only apologise about the visit you received and hope this will not stop you visiting our centre again.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We have to disagree with your comment about the pool being dirty. It is monitored regularly, we are aware that occasionally sand from the filters does build up at the corners in the deep end but the pool is clean. In our non-manned gym we rely on customers to be respectful of other users and clean equipment after use, we have signs in the gym highlighting this. Our staff clean the gym regularly but are not permanently positioned in this area. In instances where equipment needs to be cleaned we recommend highlighting this to a member of staff, like you did. We are sorry if you feel they were disrespectful, this is not the kind of behaviour we would expect and will pass on this information to our management team. Regarding kissing in the pool, however trivial it may sound, it is unfortunately one of the rules and it is not permitted. The same rules will apply in any other public pool you visit throughout the UK.
