Fantastic experience: This is an amazing spa calm and relaxing. The pool is stunning, and the thermal zone is a total winner. Anything you may need is there from a jacuzzi that looks out over trees and fields, steam room, aroma room, ice room, 2 different types of sauna, not forgetting the waterfall. Upstairs, the food is a delicious treatment room, warm and cosy, and the relaxing room is just perfect to chill. The thing that makes the place perfect is the staff they have that calm manner with nothing is too much trouble and is there anything else we can do to make your visit perfect. Well done, and thank you.

Positive experience: ...like the Tardis..!...tiny gym, I didn't use the changing room or spa as had treatments booked ( and it's mixed). Beauty/treatment rooms upstairs with a small lounge/cafe room. Unfortunately mixed and full of clients scantily dressing but in gowns..! And the 'bento box's not described anywhere, basically... packed lunch..!Not as fancy as the menu suggests but was actually just right. Anyway, the treatments - FAB! Will I go back.. possibly

Positive experience: The treatments were good, lunch great, nice pool, sauna's great. Staff nice helpful. Take a water bottle. There are no paper cups or drinking water other than in the changing rooms. The only negative was the jacuzzi area that opens onto the outside is in need of tlc, there were marks around the edge of the pool water line (make up i expect), the cover that pulls over the water looked like it had seen better days, tiles coming off in small parts, wall in need of paint.

Negative experience: Parking beware Was picking up a family member and waited in the car for 10 mins. Only to receive a fine from parking eye for £100. I am truly livid. And it's a bad reflection on the hotel if they are resorting to such medieval methods to make money. I would not recommend. ( How on earth does 10 min equate to £100, no doubt that the hotel will be pocketing most of not all)

Positive experience: This is a lively place with great facilities and treatments - Diane was fantastic. The lunch was ok but as it's a hotel I think they could improve the selection. There were free drinks- water, tea coffee which was nice and the lunch area was lovely and included outside seating which was great as we had a nice day weather wise. The only down side was the thermal spa outdoor area which was undergoing maintenance during our visit - it would have been courteous to let us know beforehand that this was taking place. Otherwise we had a lovely day and I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely day here. They offer coffee, tea and biscuits. All staff is super friendly. The treatments we had was really good. I received a massage and facial treatment from Josh. He was always smiling, willing to help and seemed very knowledgeable about skin treatments. The dessert from the lunch was good, but the vegetable wrap was so so spicy. It was way too spicy to eat. That’s the only downside. The rest was really good. The lockers have hangers and space for shoes which was nice, so you don’t have to mix your belongs with your clothes. Space was really nice and the jacuzzi with the open area to see and hear outside was a nice plus.

Fantastic experience: Nice relaxing spa experience. Great massage and use of the facilities made it a really enjoyable day. The bento food boxes were good aswell and kept you in the relaxation zone.

Negative experience: UPDATE: The manager became very hostile with me after this review. he sent several emails stating its his provocative if he doesn't want to maintain his facility, and asking me if i dont have anything better to do with my time. Avoid this place at all costs. I have been a member here on and off for several years. The facilities do not match the cost of membership. The changing rooms: The changing rooms are old and tired and in desperate need of refurbishment pure gym changing rooms have better facilities than here. There used to be a swimwear spinner for drying your wet swimming kit, this broke several years ago and has never been replaced, you can still see the capped drain where it once sat. Instead now you get a single use plastic bag to put your wet kit in. The showers are like what I imagine prison showers to be, single button, no temperature dial. just a button to turn it on that you have to press every few seconds to keep it going, not very "Spa" like. (this is not the case in the women's changing room, they are allowed to have real showers) The Pool: The pool is nice, its quite shallow but perfectly usable for swimming lengths. It would be a lovely experience if it wasn't for the spa day guests taking selfies and judging people who are there to exercise. Thermal Suite: This thermal suite used to be amazing, its slowly fell into the stage its in now and it feels tired and well in need of a refit. The ice room is not cold anymore , instead there is just a pit of ice and cold shower, the whole room used to be cold. the thermal room sits in the mid 20 degrees instead of the temp its supposed to be. The steam room is good, on a good day, some days there is hardly any steam. The experience showers no longer work at all and are cold most of the time. The staff: Dean and the guys who work behind the desk are great, so polite and friendly. If it wasn't the only place near to me that has the facilities I would choose to go somewhere else, however I'm currently stuck. Try it out for yourself, don't take this review as fact this is my opinion.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member here since 2017. Recently I upgraded my membership to spa club and I must say that the extra £25 a month is very much worth it. So far I’ve had two deep tissue back neck and shoulder massages, Danae and Jordann are very very good at their jobs. Thanks team for continuously making my experience great.

Negative experience: I ordered a service , and they did not have the facility operating on my scheduled appointment date, after negotiating that a refund would be made , the company made no effort to give the refund , and did not issue it after assuring us it would be the case .

Negative experience: You go to a spa day to feel special and relax. I felt neither from yesterday's spa day. It feels like the Spa is very dated. Changing rooms were very grotty and felt unclean. To the point where after our spa day we went home and showered. The light lunch is a joke. It's a cross between an airline meal and a child's school dinner plate. Lacked any taste and the ham was cheap ham. There is only one area to get water which is upstairs away from the swimming area and saunas etc. The swimming pool area feels unclean. The hydropool smells. After my hour and 15 mins treatment was over I wasn't even offered a glass of water. My friend had to ask for one. I would not recommend this spa.

Positive experience: Great place. New gym recently fitted with great equipment. The pool is amazing and really well maintained and there is a great choice of spa facilities, 2 saunas and 2 steam rooms plus and ice room and jacuzzi, the open air jacuzzi and view of trees and birds and wildlife is this places winning feature. The staff are always friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. Some odd music choices sometimes... often really questionable and featuring many 'older' hits that do not really create the relaxing spa vibe you might expect and seek, which is a shame. Where's the relaxing tranquil chill vibes!? ;)

Fantastic experience: Beautiful spa with attentive staff. Clean rooms, a lovely relaxation room and a brilliant thermal suite. The pool areas and eating areas got quiet busy at times but the areas were well managed and there was plenty of room, despite the numbers.

Positive experience: Stunning spa and nice staff! The thermal suit is brilliant. Only reason not a 5 star because of an error on the booking - we asked for a treatment extension when we booked but on the day we didn't receive it..

Positive experience: Had a nice day here with my mum at weekend. Greeted promptly on arrival given robe slippers and towels. Shown around and left to our own devices as we had an hour before our treatment. Tea, coffee water and biscuits available as part of the package in the new refreshment/bar area which has improved massively since we last visited, the only down side is orange and apple juice were part of the package previously but you now can purchase these at the bar. The mud rasul was nice very intense heat in the steam room. Our skin was left feeling smooth and looked fresh. The outdoor jacuzzi is lovely as always (be careful in the slippers as they don’t grip very well) clean and tidy all round. The changing rooms can get quite crowded as the pool and gym users use the same one but it is what it is! The food we didn’t stay for due to having to leave early from what I saw it’s very much like my previous visit a wrap salad and cheese cake I’m just not keen on it being in a box (my preference)

Negative experience: Came up on Wednesday evening at 7.30 and changing rooms an absolute state!

Fantastic experience: Really nice and chilled day out for the other halfs birthday. It isn't my idea of fun but i actually loved it. The facilities were really clean and smart. We were given everything we needed and told where everything was so were not left guessing later. I did somehow manage to get a parking fine despite logging into the parking system but they even managed to sort for me quickly so thank you. We will be coming again.

Negative experience: Rang up to book a package, told no availability., no problem! Was offered a potential treatment at 4.30 and 5pm, with use of facilities for the day at an extra cost.(manager approval required) times weren't suitable due to a family meal. Called back to book these as the meal could be moved, got through to manager who refused to help and wouldn't approve at all. Maybe staff shouldn't be offering such things without checking with manager first! This just gets people's hopes up! Was late to book due to annual leave not being authorised until now! Was booking for a birthday. Oh well.... plenty of other spas!

Negative experience: Warning for potential visitors with Celiac disease ( gluten free ) I visited with my partner and a friend on the 6th November 2021 The spa was good, but we also booked a treatment which had a lunch included. My partner is Celiac ( gluten free ) and diabetic, so on entry and during sign-up we made sure she had stated this in all places possible to avoid any mistakes. We also made note of this and were told at every point along the way that this would be carefully catered for. When sitting down for the lunch, the food was handed out in bento boxes to each person. The server specifically told my partner that her food had been prepared carefully and was definitely gluten free when serving her - but this turned out to be false. As we were leaving the spa my partner started to feel unwell, and by the time we got home was extremely ill and throwing up any food / water / sugar that she tried to eat due to gluten poisoning from the spa lunch. This was dangerous and quite scary as her blood sugar level was very low and she couldn't retain any sugar to raise it back up. We ended up having to use an emergency glucagen shot to bring her levels out of the danger zone. I later called to let the spa know this happened and was told a manager would be in touch about it, but that hasn't happened. It was probably an honest mistake but it left my partner in a dangerous situation that could have resulted in hospitalisation if the emergency shot hadn't worked, and I would hate for someone else to end up in the same situation.

Positive experience: I personally love the facilities here, it's just a shame customers dont always adhere to the rules and dont clean up after themselves. It's not difficult and would make for a much more pleasurable experience for all.

Negative experience: Hydro pool is never has hot as it use to be, always between cold- warm rather than warm-hot. Hydro pool was the reason I made a membership there and its not cheap!!

Positive experience: We let our membership lapse a few months ago and on enquiring found that the monthly fees have gone up over 20% which seems excessive even considering inflation. I do like the pool and thermal pool but the disabled changing rooms leave a lot to be desired and the showers in the men's changing room are fixed temperature and keep turning themselves off every thirty seconds. Certainly I think that if they are going to upgrade the fees then they should upgrade the facilities as well.

Negative experience: On arrival were given robes & slippers but the changing room was so hot almost unbearable not just for me but most people said how hot it was. The facilities were lovely a relaxing sauna swim and rasul mud room. The restaurant was very nice complimentary tea coffee & fruit but unfortunately staff were never there had to call reception at one point for them to send staff. The food which was a choice of wrap was one of the worst I have ever tried presented in what looked like a plastic jewellery box. The staff however were very courteous and I had a pleasant day but would not visit here again. I also left my scarf in the locker I called within an hour of leaving but staff couldn't find it.

Fantastic experience: Norton Grange hotel and the Spa are a great location for locals and a meeting place. Easy to travel to, just off the motorway. At the Spa, netter than average, friendly staff. Able to book, pampering sessions. Easy to stay half a day if new. As a member, good to visit the gym, or chill in the Suna for 20mins. Yes chill in the ice room too. Garden Centre over the road, easy access to Rochdale town centre.

Negative experience: My daughter and son bought vouchers for the spa natural,after a very bad year of illness to help in my recovery,I decided on an express manicure and pedicure,also to treat my sister and friend as well,unfortunately we were extremely dissapointed with the result,even before i left the nailpolish had started to come off and was touched up in the foyer.I have no complaint about the girl who did the treatment as a person, she was polite friendly and easy to talk to but i unfortunately have had to take off the polish, i can say i would not use your services again in the future.
