Positive experience: Never been there it ok.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service from the HU10 Anlaby Branch, Hull Sunday 27.10.2024 Multiple lockers broken into and personal goods stolen from my son including a £69.00 Rucksack and a £99.99 Berghaus Zip Top. Managers not interested ? No phone call as promised Cant be arsed to look at CCTV It happens all the time evidently

Fantastic experience: If i have to join pure gym, it would only be because of Ray Azeem PT, such a nice professional guy with loads of knowledge.

Negative experience: I think this place isn't what it use to be I just done a body pump class I thought it wasn't structured, something she put together 5mins before it started and I thought the PT was lazy. If I'm honest I don't do any of the classes anymore they are getting worse. If you want a machine majority of the younger generation shall we say are on the phones or talking to there mates and then back on their phones. The staff just walk by and don't even give you the time of day

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Pure Gym for a while now, and overall, it's a fantastic place to work out. The equipment is well-maintained, the gym is spacious, and there’s a great variety of machines and free weights for every fitness level. I also appreciate the 24/7 access, making it super convenient to fit in a workout regardless of my schedule. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness of the gym floor is always on point. That said, there are a couple of things that could be improved. Many of the locks on the changing room lockers are broken, which makes finding a secure place for your belongings a bit challenging. Additionally, the tap in the bathroom has a very strong water pressure, causing a sharp splash that can easily get your clothes wet if you're not careful. Overall, though, these are minor inconveniences in an otherwise great gym experience. With a few tweaks, it would be perfect!

Fantastic experience: Open 24hrs loads of equipment, decent gym couldn't ask for more.

Negative experience: Currently locked out of the gym after going out to my car for a charging lead for my phone, there’s no telephone service available, spend a little bit more and go to a proper gym that has staff on, piss poor to say the least!

Positive experience: Decent little gym for the low cost. It can get very busy and struggle to get on stations. Could do with more kit and potentially heavy bags for boxercise/kickboxing but aside from that great gym. The app itself is worth the subscription

Positive experience: I like the gym, it's got all the equipment you need, there are lots of different exercise machines and it's all well placed. The downside is that too many people sit on the machines on their phones for too long.

Positive experience: I enjoy going, but I feel the cardio stuff is getting a little dated now. It’d be good to have stuff with touch screens to get with the times a little. It just looks a bit tired, the belts slip on some of the treadmills and regularly have out of order signs on them. Weights are all fine

Fantastic experience: Me and my girlfriend's first visit to the gym, we weren't so sure what to expect and we were really nervous especially me but once we got started and found out how the machines worked we then got more into it, by the end of our session and our first visit to the gym we really enjoyed it and couldn't wait to go again also the personal trainers were very approachable and helpful and gave great advice on how to use the machines and the kind of workouts to do depending on the goals you set out to do

Negative experience: Gym is okey but the bloody loud music during classes ruins the peaceful environment, even if you put the sound to the highest volume you still hear it, a kind request to PT responsible for the classes lower the volume please bcs it s too bloody loud, the key is in the programme not the loud music ‍♂️

Fantastic experience: Signed up and attended on the same day, the app is decent to use although there is way too much information in it. Much of it is useless to me. Entry to the gym via qr scan was extremely quick. And my first impression was of a clean, fully featured if not a little crowded gym. The Pump class was good, with loads of space and so was the Pilates I did after. For the price, it's hard to complain and I would recommend it.

Positive experience: It's OK. Could do with more spring collars for the barbells. If people put things back where they should be, instead of just putting them wherever is closest to them at the time, this place would be a lot better. 5kg and 10kg plates are often behind the 20kg plates on the stack, so you need to take them off first if you want the smaller plates behind. The place is clean as in hygienic, no dust or debris about, but quite a mess when it comes to stuff being misplaced and left around. Overall its OK. But if you expect order, and no groups of kids hogging equipment for half an hour at a time (not exaggerating) then it might test your patience.

Fantastic experience: Always good to go not very big but it has every thing you need to keep fit and keep the mind motivated

Positive experience: Cheap, affordable and does the job. Don’t ever buy from the vending machine. Overpriced. Scam. The toilets are clean. Take a few steps further and limp towards the disabled toilets for the optimal lighting. Machinery is decent, free weights are fine. Benches are good. However, sometimes the preacher seat and bench press can sometimes be unstable. If you want protein after your session. Head to Morrisons for a meal deal or the food warehouse sell a protein shake for £1.

Positive experience: Terrible set-up. Changing rooms and toilet are located upstairs. God forbid you need a pee before getting in the showers, you will need to come out of the changing with your towel around your waist or put your clothes back on to use the toilets outside the changing room! Lol. But the gym itself is clean and ok. It does the job

Fantastic experience: One of the nicest looking puregyms I've visited. Only issue was I went at peak time and struggled to get on anything. Unfortunately full of kids that were twatting around in the locker rooms when I visited. Good gym though, nice and clean. Puregym, if they have any sense will get another location open soon.

Positive experience: Pretty decent place and lots of equipment! Watch out for the chief!

Negative experience: - The only puregym in Hull - large inside with an upstairs - only 3 toilets (dirty): 1 female, 1 male, 1 unisex. Despite how large it is, it's a bit odd there are so few toilets - considering much smaller pure gyms around London have 6+ toilets

Negative experience: Certain members of staff are rude and unwelcoming, can often overhear them spouting pretty radical and offensive views it makes me feel rather uncomfortable. Besides that it’s a decent gym it’s a shame certain people ruin it.

Positive experience: Good price and everything you'd expect from a gym. One minor niggle though, the showers could be a little hotter!

Positive experience: I've been a member since it opened and over the years I've seen countless trainers come and go, along with the steady price increases. Overall for the £17.99 I pay (£19.99 if you joined now) can't be complained about the gym is an OK size and covers all your bases. The only things I can moan about personally is that a few years back they rearranged the weights area and moved the leg and chest press outside of the room, these are some of the big users of the 25KG plates which means when squatting or lifting you need to go hunt them down which is daft. Put them back in the room and keep it all together. Secondly there's a real lack of appropriate weights, most people use 12-16's which I believe there are only 3 sets of each, but they have 2 sets for everything else up to 50's, you can count the people on one hand who can even press them so why have 2 sets of all of them. Drop it down to one set of everything over 40 and load up on the most commonly used. I will say the Gym itself is kept really clean, so well done to the staff on this point. Overall for the price it's a good Gym and it will be great for most peoples use.

Positive experience: Not a bad gym for the monthly price. Best checking their app to check out the amount of people currently in the gym. Not many cardio equipment, so try and get there when it's quiet or you'll find it quite a wait to get on some of the equipment. Male showers have 3 cubicles but seems to only have 1 working shower. Plenty of treadmills and exercise bikes. There's plenty of classes that you can join, depending on availability but good chance there's enough spaces. Good atmosphere. App is very useful and helpful.

Negative experience: Spin class usually fully booked and on the rare occasion there is space in a class, the spin studio is cramped

Positive experience: Good place for workout but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do something with those flipping teenagers on their mobile phones occupying a training machine for a half an hour just watching Facebook or something. So annoying when you have busy life and want to do a quick workout and get the hell out.

Negative experience: Nowhere near enough equipment to get anything done between 6 and half 8. Ok so I know that its peak, and gets busy but. Theres just not enough weight equipment to go round. Only been twice. Wont be going again, cant be bothered queuing up to benchpress

Negative experience: No enough machins and equipment. Cold space and freezing showers.

Negative experience: The gym is alright but nothing special. Not big enough imo, only had 2x bench press, 1x seated rowing machine, 1x deadlift station and NO hack squat machine! In addition, the showers are only three and they aren't working properly. You have to push a button every 30sec to turn on the water (as it auto-shuts) and the water changes from hot to ice cold every 5-min. I think they did that in order to not spend much time in the showers, but guess what? It's just resulting in having to wait few minutes (wasting lot of water) to go back to warm again... Parking space is alright if you avoid evening and weekends, but you do have 3-h limit or you get a ticket. Plenty of treadmill and cycling machines if that's your thing. TLTR: good for cardio training / poor for weightlifters

Fantastic experience: I have just been working out here for a month and must say that it goes beyond my expectations. It was a lovely gym to work out,staff/instructors were really friendly, professional and vey easy to approach. They offered loads of classes you can choose that suit individuals preferences. Highly recommended for everyone who looking for affordable gym that truly care for your overall health and fitness!

Fantastic experience: One of the best and most affordable gym experiences. All machines maintained to a very high standard. Other gyms i have used have been more pricey but with worse equipment or facilities. Highly recommend for business professionals that may only be able to train late nights or very early mornings. Alot of covid controls in place. Great resistance machine selection, large freeweight area and cardio systems are wide ranging and well located.

Positive experience: Everything you need for a gym, showers often don't work though, would be good if people didn't just leave their bags and cloths in the changing rooms while they work out as makes less space for people to get changed they should use the lockers

Fantastic experience: Really good gym plenty of equipment benches and free weights. I’ve trained in a lot of pure gym and can say this ranks up there with the more expensive ones in London. Real shame there isn’t one in the east of hull would pay multi gym to us both. Maybe I didn’t word that quite right. I am more than happy with the price of my membership, when I was working in London I paid the ‘multi-gym’ membership to use any of the ones in central London and I meant that it’s a shame we do not have one in east hull as well as Anlaby as would happily pay the same ‘multi-gym’ membership to use both Anlaby and one in east hull.
