Cardiff University Fitness and Conditioning Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: 10/10 gym
Positive experience: Good gym but would be nice if opening times where extended
Fantastic experience: Good
Fantastic experience: Love both gyms and how many racks and weights they have. I only wish you would open up earlier (5-6am) or give 24h access. It is also a bit annoying that it closes over Christmas for weeks and all bank holidays. Working times suit students but not staff and the public!
Fantastic experience: THE first gym I visited when beginning my strength training journey while studying at Cardiff University. A lot of nostalgia here when coming back to Cardiff to train. Equipment is ideal for teams and students on strength-based programs, with a good amount of squat racks, plates and barbells.
Fantastic experience: Tidy, easy to get in and it's laid out really well.
Positive experience: I really like it, three floors of machines of many types, maybe small building with no swimming pool and I missed an elevator for my recent knee surgery.
Fantastic experience: Fabulous facilities and great staff
Fantastic experience: Plenty of gains were made here. Steve is a legend
Positive experience: Has most equipment but very very busy and usually have to wait to use a machine
Negative experience: £25 per month for a multi site gym where the equipment is old, half of the gym in one of the buildings was closed off and not one of the gyms had the full range of equipment ie a working leg press machine in one site but not in the other one. I would have been better off joining Pure gym or Easy gym for my time in Cardiff. One of the worst university gyms I've ever been in
Fantastic experience: Gainz are good
Fantastic experience: Great gym, there are lots of equipments which are fairly spaced out
Positive experience: A decent gym, lack equipment for preacher curls. The ground floor tends to get cramped up and people usually hogs the equipment even when they are resting.
