Fantastic experience: I've been going here for the past couple years, great gym, very clean with great equipment. It is on the smaller side, and it does get very busy sometimes, so i make sure to go at quiter times. But apart from that, fantastic gym. Kind staff, most people are friendly. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: If it's a normal routine to maintain or improve fitness, it's got everything you need. Peak times are busy, the same as any commercial but that has to be expected. If you're looking to compete and target certain aspects of your training, there are other gyms to tailor for that, but you'll also pay for that luxury. For price, flexibility and size, you can't go wrong

Negative experience: Cleaning stations not often available around the gym. They removed cleaning stations, the ones they have don’t work at the best of times.

We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to remove self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste. We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment. Positive experience: It's too small. I really like the gym but it's not big enough. You have to wait ages for the equipment. It could be 3x bigger. It's very popular. The music is very low. This is good. There isn't terrible British stab rap playing. It's clean. The toilets don't smell like a broken sewer.

All classes are included with in the memberships however, as the Yoga, Pilates and Zumba classes are taught by an external instructor; it would be an extra £2 - £4 which you would pay cash in hand to the instructor. Negative experience: This was a great gym last year, it's really gone downhill since then. The gym is ridiculously hot at all times. I know it's winter but nobody wants to be warm in a gym, a nice cool temperature would be much better. Also completely full at peak times with many people waiting for the popular equipment. Alongside all that there is no mobile phone signal in most of the gym forcing everyone to use the poor quality WiFi. I will probably be switching to a real gym soon.

Negative experience: Even for the low standards of Pure gym this one is terrible. I've heard it was ridiculously busy and even at 9pm on a Wednesday was packed so no machines or benches were free. Terribly behaved aggressive roadman clientele trying to intimidate and groups of chavvy lads stood around equipment chatting but not using it. Gym quite dirty and absolutely stinks. Baking hot temperature inside even during February... You have low expectations with Puregym / equivalent budget gyms but this is by far the worst I've ever been to.

Fantastic experience: Love Dave's abs class! 30 mins hard-core. So good that he listens to what the members want. I asked for an abs class and it was on the timetable the next week and as usual taught extremely well, ensuring we get the most out of the 30 minute class

Positive experience: Nice gym but not disabled friendly you can’t access lift unless you tick at registration your disabled which is a first for me as I was a member at so many other gyms you don’t need to tell anyone your disabled everything is there for you. Secondly no changing rooms downstairs so not disabled friendly at all
Negative experience: There was a rank smell of BO. Need to improve cleaning/disinfection as a priority and also ensure that members are equally cooperative in practising good hygiene.

Negative experience: I was a member of the pure gym two years ago, but because this gym never cared to the opinions of the members, I canceled my membership. After a long time, I came back with the insistence of my partner, but nothing had changed, and the main problem was that the classes were held exactly in the center of the gym, just when I was training and under pressure, I was asked to go to another place, so I agreed the first time, But I didn't do that for the next time, how is it that you only care about those who take classes with the gym and the rest of the members are not important. We all pay the same and want to enjoy our time. I can say that all the staff of this gym are rude and don't pay attention to your request at all. They don’t listen just hear a voice from you and give you a stupid answer. In the last conversation that I had with the gym manager today, I said that you should not disturb me in the middle of my workout and that you can hold your classes upstairs, where there is a completely empty space. He said If the staff wants you to move somewhere else and you don't do it, I will block your pin. It is really stupid for the manager of this gym to talk to the members like that and not even try to keep them at least happy. They use the easiest way to solve the problem and that is REMOVE. I will soon cancel my membership and tell all my friends, who are about 15 of us, to go to the gym. Pure Gym does not want to pay any fee to keep the members happy and they try to run the gyms with the lowest cost. It has been requested many times, there is a space on the top floor that is always empty, you can hold classes there, but they are still very selfish and ruin our training, and they hold classes right in the middle of the club, and they don't care that the rest of the members are in a small space and Sad, they are training hard. At the end of every review on the website that is left for the gym, everyone will be given the same answer, thank you for your opinion, and then they will give an excuse for their own work, and again, they will not help you, because they do not care if you are a member or not. They only think about their own salary that they will receive at the end of the month, this is not a private gym that the staffs feel sorry for. The way they treat the members is really ridiculous. I do not recommend anyone to register in this gym.
Positive experience: Never too busy which I like ! Most of the staff are friendly apart from one of the staff with dark hair who was very rude and unhelpful!! Wasn’t doing his job properly at all and couldn’t be bothered to help me when I asked about the equipment.

Positive experience: Does what it says on the tin. Good range of equipment, open 24/7. Now I've used more it's okay. It's great when quiet >10pm which isn't bad for me. They could do with sorting out the water to be cold and putting back paper towels to wipe down equipment.

Negative experience: Signed up did 2 sessions and realised it's not got nowhere near enough weights equipment for me. To many people to fight over the benches and cables. Glad it's not a fixed contract as I will certainly not be doing any more than the month

Negative experience: Not a bad gym for the money, like every pure gym, there's the guys and gals starting, those maintaining and those so big they can't walk through doors head on More prancing and posing then the average peacock riding a rocket. Don't let that put you off... its cheap, it's cheerful (if you keep to yourself) you do you and remember ... knuckle draggers will be knuckle draggers

Fantastic experience: Recently joined this gym, staff members are super friendly and always smiling. I've been having PT sessions with Jay, he's definitely made for this! I'm feeling alot stronger, motivated and confident than before. I've also developed some knowledge on how my body works during the different weight training. I can't complain. Changing rooms and the gym itself are quite clean and tidy, members are frequently wiping down machines straight after use.

Negative experience: Been a member for over a year. I’ve given up hopes of improvement. PROS- Local, nice range of stuff, 2 floors, classes CONS- Boiling- the air con blows out warm air colder outside even in summer, damaged equipment (guess the weight cause there aren’t labels,) toilets have been shut multiple times, changing cubicle has a gum collection on the wall, large price increase with no changes to facilities.

Positive experience: Very small gym so so if you get more than 30 people in it you normally be waiting to use a machine. Plus it’s right by a college so kids use it as a hangout venue will happily stand round one machine for 5-10 mins chatting away without actually using the machine. Clean and since it’s in retail park plenty of parking spaces. Just wish it was bigger

Negative experience: Small tiny gym. No atmosphere or music. If you’re desperate for a one off / working away from home then might be ok, wouldn’t bother otherwise.

Positive experience: I do really like PureGym and as an older female I feel very comfortable using most parts of the gym when available. This is not a criticism of the gym or staff but the people that use it. I see so many people not cleaning equipment or putting it away where they got it from. Even Covid wasn't around you are leaving sweat behind that should be cleaned up. I wish users would put equipment back in its place and clean their sweat off. I will continue to use the gym but clean beforehand.

Fantastic experience: I do enjoy the gym, Friendly staff, and do like a work out, Excellent for mental health, BUT, you can only talk to staff whom are there, if you phone the main office, for any reason, you can't, they tell you to go on email or website, so theres no way of contacting the main people in important times, and the staff can't give you the answers you need prior.. Can be frustrating, especially in emergencies, I really believe the main people should take more time and chat to there clients, especially if youve got mental health issues, and the staff can't help.. They need to do more to interact with members if staff can't help, rather then email, ITS GOOD TO TALK AND SHOW CARING TOWARDS WHOM PEOPLE KEEP YOUR BUSINESS ALIVE

Positive experience: Really like this gym. As a disabled member, I was made to feel very welcome. The equipment is great and plenty of it. I would recommend this gym to a friend. The only thing I would say is: it would be better if there was a cleaning station by the treadmills upstairs and if there was a free filtered water machine

Fantastic experience: Great place, friendly atmosphere and design what is for, let off steam. Think some equipment need to be doubled up on which could benefit members. But overall it's near me and it's a great Gym.

Negative experience: Shocking, Rubbish. For the money you pay for the membership to use this gym you'd be better off going elsewhere. Not much equipment variations compared to other gyms that puregym have. really not worth the money. I will be cancelling my membership. I have more equipment in my home gym. This is terrible.

Positive experience: My partner pays extra so we can visit the gym together but my code only worked once which is a down side because he pays for nothing as I am apprehensive about going because of this issue.

Positive experience: I train every Sunday morning and I must say the cleaning stations are always empty and the bins are always full and overflowing. I don't want to train in an untidy and unclean environment.

Fantastic experience: A Nice little Gym Some Good equipment they Could Definitely do with a Punch Bag and Hack Squat But Other than that it's Got What You need.. a nice Shoulder Press and Smith machine and enough lose weights who could ask for anything more..

Positive experience: The equipment is great, all the people seem relatively friendly. My only issue is the lack of blue roll in the top half on nights, makes it difficult to follow their rules.

Positive experience: Great place to workout. New facilities and plenty of machines and free weights. It is fairly small so can get very busy at peak times but the PureGym App is useful to plan your visits around busy times as it shows the live data of how many people are currently in the Gym.
Positive experience: Actually a well spaced out gym. More than met my expectations. Still waiting on the replenishment of wet wipes down stairs. They clean equipment a lot better. Is a bit disturbing when I see people clean down equipment with towels especially during covid.

Fantastic experience: Newly opened, good facilities. App helps to keep track how busy it is. Can just use phone to check in which is better than memorising pin. Cleaning stations everywhere so easy to to remember to sanitise before and after.

Fantastic experience: Nice welcome back to the gym. Given this is a new location - well trained staff. Clean, social distancing in force. Extremely happy to be able to work out again.
Fantastic experience: Not big but has everything available
Fantastic experience: I have been visiting the gym for a week. I'm happy with the equipments and spaces between the machines. Social distance is mapped on the floor showing the area where you can exercise. I like the idea and I wish it could stay after the Covid-19 is over. There are set of different equipments to serve your exercises in the best way. Sometimes I felt that gym was overcrowded despite that the app was showing that we are less than the targeted capacity. So I believe that 84 athletes is too much for the gym especially now. The mobile coverage is very low inside which is causing some inconvenience if you need to check your exercise for the day online. Lastly, I was a bit disappointed that no-one provided me with on boarding about the gym facilities in my first day. I just start discovering everything by myself.

Positive experience: 3 expensive vending machines disabled, no connection to take card payments and no back up connection or way to pay another way. Since when do vending machines have to rely on a 4g connection? Sick a couple of cups under managers desk for anyone who forgot their bottle?
Negative experience: Not alot of cardio equipment especially cross trainers . Poor smell of sewage throughout the building
