Negative experience: Awful experience with a forced 13.5% tip. OH&S hazard where we sat that "maintenance" are aware of. The only good thing about this place was the ragu.

Fantastic experience: Went there for a Sunday brunch and left happy with the service and the great tasting and reasonably priced food & drinks.

Negative experience: Lovely place but quality, hospitality & service seems to be lacking. Went for coffee; simple order extra hot latte, turmeric latte, crisp and almonds! what could go wrong! Lattes were requested to be extra hot. They arrived cold (not warm). Probably left out too long? When asked to change them go face making attitude. Crisps out of a packet; stale and inedible. When asked to take them off the bill again raised eye brows. I have no idea how these places survive in ultra competitive London.

Negative experience: Good food, poor service. Group of 7 for Sunday. The food was good, if slightly under seasoned. However service was very poor. Food arrived at different times, waiter whistled while he served our food, plates cleared when half the table still eating. All in all, it felt like the staff felt we were an inconvenience and getting in their way.

Negative experience: Disappointing experience - we were a group of 10 having brunch celebrating a 30th birthday. We ordered all sorts - coffee, mimosas, brunch, lots of extras, the bill totalling around £500. We brought a birthday cake and were told that to eat it in the restaurant we would be charged £5 per person. Real shame as our food and drink was very good and our servers were great. Sadly this meant that our meal ended on a bit of a sour and negative note.

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal food, cocktails, coffee and tea. Very comfy. Large sofa, and our child was comfortably asleep in his stroller so it all worked out great.

Negative experience: Amazing cocktails but really awful food. Bland and charred prawns were nasty, the ox cheek was gamey, tasted old, and was hard and overcooked. Still coming back for cocktails but the one nice bartended left.

Positive experience: Carte d’inspiration italienne avec produits de saison. Beau choix de plats. Bonne portion. Bémol : carte des desserts. Tables espacées ; pas trop bruyant ; bonne luminosité. Service rapide et attentionné.

Negative experience: Don’t see the point of becoming a member, now I just use it as a gym while waiting for the end of my membership. But the app would glitch to prevent you from booking classes. When you finally manage to book a class and get to the gym full of cooking smell, the instructors don’t show up.

Positive experience: So it was near our hotel,great location and very pleasant sitting, peacefull place. But the food Change your chef ,pls!!! Never had such a dry hamburger, frites were nice, my friend had horrible niocci with dry chicken , the fish wasnt tasty,, and the melanzana, wonder from which regeun recepie was taken? . So really, do your self a favour and send your chef to practice better, cause this place is pleasant to sit with friends, the cocktails were fine.. as for restaurant? I dont recommend.

Negative experience: Rude and unfriendly staff

Positive experience: The hosts welcome was not welcoming; guests clearly an inconvenience unhelpful and dismissive, the polar opposite of hospitable. We were served by a number of wot staff. Some of the wait and bar staff outstanding had others dismissive and offhand, food was mixed some plates outstanding pork chop in particular was great, others plates under seasoned. Cocktails well balanced and well presented. Would we go back not sure !

Negative experience: If you're looking to pay for overpriced average food and drinks with the rudest concierge you'll ever meet then I would highly recommend this spot as it will check all those blocks.

Positive experience: Place is super central, with a nice atmosphere. Decent wine list and beers on tap. Food was not terrible though easily forgettable - probably a bit overpriced for what you get e.g. the pictured Pollo Al Mattone working out at around £31.75 including 13.5% service charge (and that’s without sides). Might come back for a drink if I was in the area, though eating somewhere else

Fantastic experience: Great cocktails!

Positive experience: Excellent breakfast, great coffee, great service. Why not 5*? Well and this may seem petty! I asked for the avocado on toast with poached eggs but with mushrooms instead of eggs and the eggs were taken off and I had mushrooms and was charged extra for the mushrooms. But it was still great and I will be back.

Negative experience: We were visiting and had a bad experience with a member of staff making inappropriate comments. We received an in-person apology from management and were told we would receive an email inviting us back. It’s been 3+ weeks since the incident, I followed up today and the promise of a return invite has been labelled as a “incorrect recollection” and left as that. The dealing of this issue has left a bad taste and I will not be returning.

Positive experience: Good vibe ... full but not crowded and service attentive and delivery undelayed. Good location in Fitrovia and close to Soho and Marylebone. Terrace upstairs available but only for members. The breakfast menu has changed, so I don't think it looks as good as this anymore.

Fantastic experience: The restaurant is a beautiful space and the staff were lovely. 3 of us (not members of the club) dropped in at dinner time just wanting a drink and the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. This approach deserves a 5 star review!

Fantastic experience: Our favourite restaurant in town. Gorgeous decor, lovely people, Chef Lello Favuzzi is wonderful, friendly and will chat to guests. Food has never disappointed, staff are alway welcoming, and the cocktail flow deliciously. Great for brunch too. It is also fabulous value so it won't break the bank. I highly recommend for anyone visiting London - get Mortimer House on your list of places to visit.

Negative experience: I was a member for 1 year, they charged me for periods of membership that i never used, threatened to take legal action and requested a 1 year paid notice period to end my 'hot desking' membership... CONS Very busy, often nowhere to sit. Very expensive, 600+ per month for hot desking Pretentious Limited boring food selection 1 year paid notice period to quit, will persue legal action Uncomfortable chairs Pros Poached eggs at your desk for breakfast Nicely decorated

Fantastic experience: Mortimer House and it's stunning interior located in the heart of Fitzrovia offers a range of work spaces, a beautiful gym, class studio, and meditation room along with a social members living room and den where delicious food and beverages are served with great service. It also has a range of meetings room, private dining options and the Loft & Gallery which can hold up to 120 people.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Mortimer House, particularly the Kitchen Table a cool meeting room decked out as a home kitchen. We had lunch whilst watch the French Open final a few weeks ago. The House Manager Katie was fabulous! Highly recommend it for meetings!
