Positive experience: Only used the pool so far. It's about 23m long which is good. It only cost £3 for an hour which is ample time. The pool seems clean and is kept tidy. The people I spoke to were really friendly. The young woman on reception was lovely and very helpful. She let me nip and have a look at the gym which seems to hit all your basic needs from a gym. That's £18 a month but you also get to use the pool as part of that membership.

Positive experience: I come here weekly for tae kwondo on a Thurs night. I knocked off one star, only because parking can sometimes be tricky if there is something on at the school at the same time.

Fantastic experience: I am a member of smithills community choir. We meet in smithills band room at 6:30pm every Tuesday. there are no auditions or subs to pay. We have bass, tenor, alto and soprano sections, all are welcome. Come along and have a good time.

Positive experience: A local sports centre for local people. Helpful, friendly staff. The equipment is looking a bit dated, and hasn't been updated in about 15 years, so if you are looking for a high tech gym, this isn't it. If you live in the Smithills or North Halliwell area it's just a short walk. It's usually quiet and peaceful, without pounding music, and an absence of orange faced posers in 'gym lingerie' with gaffer tape eyebrows.

Positive experience: The equipment is good and is never crowded .However, the opening times are not always convenient.

Positive experience: My son went to a football coaching session here. The balcony seating was a good idea as everyone was able to see their child play without disturbing the session. The centre also has a gym and a swimming pool so it's good for sports.
