Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London

Positive experience: This hotel is in a prime location in Central London, opposite Big Ben. It's very grand and the staff are lovely. However, it is extremely overpriced for what it is. The rooms were good, but not amazing, and our view was on ground level with people walking by our window. The biggest disappointment was the hotel bar, which automatically added a service charge to every drink we ordered, without declaring it. I wouldn't have minded it if it was table service, but the staff did this as we stood at the bar, effectively adding £3 per drink. Disappointing.

Fantastic experience: It’s our first time visiting London and we received the nicest welcoming from ANEKKE she was so friendly attentive and helped us to get an even better room free of charge so our stay could be even more memorable! By all means the hotel is amazing staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The food is delicious it’s an excellent choice to stay and enjoy your stay in London !!

Fantastic experience: Excellent location, hotel run very professionally. Smells nice and great views. Henry made the whole check in process trouble free even though we booked at last minute. Hats off to Henry who also took care to check if there are room with good views for us. Pool is nice and breakfast is good. Hotel sevice is great. Overall one of best London stays.

Negative experience: One of the worst check in experiences I’ve ever had - completely chaotic, and each guest to check in took 20+minutes each. I’d prepaid so had no idea whilst queuing what was taking so long, I just needed my room key. I got so bored of waiting, then realised on the confirmation email that there’s an app for online check-in/room card on your phone, so I did that instead and left the carnage behind. For the hotel, you absolutely need to do the following: 1. Use roped queuing lines for check in - most people were queuing politely, but as this is a tourist hotel, it soon descended into farce - you need to structure the check in area otherwise there will be confrontations with queue jumpers and guests forced to queue 30 mins. 2. Don’t have staff just walk off from their checkin stationswithout saying a word, leaving guests wondering what’s going on 3. Really Important - as soon as guests at check-in start having a chat with the reception clerk about London, things to do, tubes and busses - politely guide them to the Concierge who was completely available, rather than engaging in a 30 minute intro to London whilst check in queues are building. Please sort it out. Put structures in place for check in, roped queuing lanes, put processes in place to utilise concierges for chatty check-in guests to keep the queue moving, and better staff training. Infuriating, and really really really simple to fix. I don’t want to spend 30+ minutes of my weekend in London queuing just for a room key when I’ve prepaid my stay.

Fantastic experience: Anneke at the reception was extremely helpful. We had two separate reservations for single rooms. Anneke kindly organized to find two connecting rooms as per our request and she did it very efficiently and quickly, thank you!

Fantastic experience: Great stay after 17 nights all brill service and most of the staff know me here . As I had better care from HERE when I had to Escape from The London Nightingale Hospital . Where I was Bullied and Fired at like many escape patients . The Spa girls got me much better her back in May June and so lovely to be back again for more treatments . I can never fault this hotel and all the staff reception desks help y out any problems immediately and even I came up with me to my room when had problems with the key cars . Always excellent service and I’m back here again in Dec , Jan and next spring . Can’t keep away !!! So handy best location to every where .

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing hot stone massage with Victoria! She has a wonderful touch and made the entire experience incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The combination of the heat from the stones and her expert techniques melted away all my tension and stress. Victoria’s attention to detail and calming demeanor created the perfect atmosphere. I left feeling completely refreshed and can’t wait to book with her again. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: The location is the best thing this hotel has going for it. It’s super convenient! The rooms were just ok. Housekeeping was probably the most in need of improvement. They didn’t come one day, then barged in while we were sleeping to collect garbage the next day. Then it would take a very long time to get extra towels, etc. Overall, it was a good stay though.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic hotel. In a great location there is a tube nearby. It's a 25 minute walk from bkackfriars and it's a great walk from the south bank. Once we got to the hotel there is great bars and service was easy. There is also a cloakroom and we had dinner in the conference centre. The food was great considering how many people were there. The staff kept the alcohol going and service was great. The toilets were spotless and looked after well. Great hotel to book I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I went to the Mandara Spa and had the Royal retreat service. Faith was my therapist and did an unreal job. I love the products they used during the facial and it was very relaxing while I was waiting for the face mask I received foot massage, arm massage and a head massage. It was very relaxing experience and I would recommend to anybody.

Fantastic experience: It was my first hotel on my honeymoon. It's an honor to receive a room upgrade service. I don't speak English, but I want to say thank you to Mariana for being so kind to me! Big Ben, which can be seen right from the entrance of the hotel, is so cool. I'm so happy with the room upgrade to the London Eyeview. The room is in great condition and the soundproofing is good. It's a place I want to come back to again. I really recommend it. Let's have so many happy memories. The location is so good.

Fantastic experience: I have today checked in at the Park Plaza Hotel Westminster and had an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and valued. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable, and a special shoutout to Mariana, who truly is an asset to the hotel. She gifted my daughter a teddy bear, which she absolutely loved. Overall, the experience so far has been wonderful stay, and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a warm and friendly atmosphere. The gentleman that greeted us and helped unload the car was very helpful I didn’t get his name but he was working on 24th November around 7pm. Only feed back point I have; 1)The baby cot mattress could definitely have some more padding (the hotel supplied another blanket which made it softer after we requested)

Negative experience: Great location , rooms that we got were just average, but service was really bad, especially front office . View from room really bad . For some reason, we got a handicap access room when we want to change to a regular or better room it's almost impossible. My son woke up very early as 4 am. due to getting lag, and we got food that we ordered late at night . There were no microwave in the room, so I went to the lobby and asked if they could help us reheat. The front office personnel was so fierce and rude she just answered your room don't come with that service and the hotel won't heat up your food.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 for location Walking distance from Westminster station and Waterloo, accessible to almost all tube lines! Jubilee, central, district, northern, bakerloo, Waterloo & city and even the railway. Literally in the heart of London. The receptionist Michael is great at his job, I didn’t want to upgrade my room I was happy with it, but he is really really good at marketing and really good at convincing, keep him!! Negative experience: Our stay at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge was disturbed by the fact that a pyjama and the kid's two cuddly toys were lost or taken away by room service. After we noticed that things were missing from our room in the evening, I immediately reported it to guest relations and room service. Unfortunately, none of the missing items could be found. We are absolutely sure that room service is responsible for the loss of our things. We assume our stuff was taken away with bed linen, maybe by human error. We do not want to assume intention, but cannot exclude it, either. Guest relations did not handle this incident as I would have expected from a high quality hotel. I got in contact with them multiple times (right away in person and over the phone as well as by mail after returning home), giving them chances to make things right. They did answer my mails, but neither did they bother to apologize (especially to the kids, whose much-loved cuddly toys were lost) nor did they offer any kind of compensation for the lost guest property (let alone for the tears of the kids). I therefore can not recommend Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. PS: Your answer to this review does not make a lot of sense because I already contacted you directly more than once. So if you feel like there is more to say or to do, you should have done it before. But you are welcome to contact me with any news anytime. You have my contact details. PPS: While publicly asking for getting in contact with them in their reaction to my critical review, they privately let me know by mail they consider the case closed and will not be engaging in further correspondence (after leaving my review, I never contacted them again). In the same mail they let me know they cannot offer any compensation any more now, because they are "bound by the Bribery Act which prevents them from offering compensation in exchange for favourable feedback or to mitigate critical reviews". Isn't that cynical? Neither did I ask for compensation AFTER leaving my review nor did I offer mitigation of my criticism in exchange for any favours. So, citing the Bribery Act as reason for not having offered compensation before having received a critical review is just silly and offensive at the same time.

Fantastic experience: I travel to London often, so I've stayed in many hotels. The Park Plaza Westminister Hotel was the best hotel I've stayed in. The location, the staff's attention, and spending time with the historical Big Ben view make your trip unique. You should also definitely have dinner at Joel's restaurant. The chef's menu is excellent; the waiters and waitresses are attentive and professional—many thanks to Cristina for caring for us and helping us.

Fantastic experience: The location is crazy, we were literally in front of the Big Ben and next to the London Eye. Almost all of the tourists stuff was very close to the hotel. The bar is nice, and the breakfast is ok. Specially thanks to Farnoosh, she was so nice with us all the time.

Fantastic experience: Great first-time experience at this Park Plaza hotel in an unrivalled location in central London. Great service and facilities, breakfast and executive lounge were superb. The only negative to mention was the room decor which is getting a little tired and needs a renovation sometime soon, but it was clean and comfortable nonetheless. Staff were a highlight and were all polite and helpful. I would particularly like to thank Cinzia for her help on the check-in desk, and Valeria for making my room so comfortable and clean.

The service is awesome, especially from the check-in receptionist Mariana who was a fantastic friendly face after a long day. She speaks five languages and instantly makes you feel at home! Fantastic experience: I recently stayed at the Park Plaza Westminster in London and was blown away by the hospitality, especially from Mariana at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, she went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. Not only did she quickly re-enroll me in the Radisson Gold Points rewards program, but she also upgraded my room and even offered a complimentary drink at the bar. The view from the room is stunning, adding to an already fantastic experience. Huge thanks to Mariana and the team for their warmth and attention to detail—this level of service truly made my stay memorable!

Fantastic experience: My stay at the hotel was amazing from start to finish. The elegant woman who done the check in, I believe her name was Myriam , she was great and set the standards high. I would definitely stay again.

Fantastic experience: Stayed here for 4 nights while my daughter was in the Evelina Children's Hospital, I must say that despite it being busy due to half term, everything was clean, staff were always polite helpful and friendly, food was of excellent quality. It can get busy for breakfast around 8 to 830am.

A special mention goes to Lisa, She was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely cared about my comfort. Her excellent service made the experience even more memorable. Positive experience: Had another great stay with my wife and our three kids. Had dinner at the Joel Brasserie. Was served by Christina who was excellent! When we’ve been before, breakfast had been served in the ballroom which was a much better layout than spreading it across the 3 Lobby restaurants.

Fantastic experience: We had the lovely pleasure of Caitlin greeting us at the desk, she was really hospitable towards us and ensured we had everything we needed. She greeted us with a smile and any questions we had she answered them for us. The rooms were exceptional and the location absolute stunning! I will ensure Ill be coming back!

Fantastic experience: My first time in London and Caitlin at the reception made me feel so welcomed and kindly upgraded my room. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the location is spot on. Looking forward to staying here again for sure!

Positive experience: Staff welcoming and helpful especially concierge desk. Location is perfect, next to Waterloo and Westminster station. Hotel is nice looking. Some things disappointed me unfortunately : - the breakfast : you need to pay a supplement if you want any toppings on your scrambled eggs or if you want Benedict eggs or something like this. You also need to pay a supplement if you want pancakes or waffles. I think this is a shame : I have been in many hotels around the world even hotels with less stars and I never saw that especially in hotels that cost this amount. - the housekeeping : I have stayed two nights. I agree with the fact that it is not necessary to change the towels but why the room is not clean ? The beds not done ? The garbage emptied ? Coffee or Tea refilled ? No one warn me that there is no housekeeping in this hotel. To conclude, you pay the location and only the location. And you pay it way too much. I won’t come back.

Fantastic experience: Visited from Australia and was met with great smiley service by Farnoosh. After a long journey and arriving way before scheduled check-in time, Farnoosh was very empathetic and found me a room. Room is clean and hotel location is to die for, you can literally see the Big Ben from the lobby. Would stay again.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start !! This hotel is perfect for a in London, the location is spot on. The room was very clean and spacious with a lovely modern bathroom. All the staff were lovely however, the two that stood out the most was Irene on reception and Marjana on the guest relations. They were both so friendly, professional and willing to help (huge thank you). Will definitely be coming back to stay !
