Negative experience: Dirty clothes stolen, Made to wait 10 minutes for a manager to hand me a form to fill so they can check cctv, when told the manager would be 2 minutes, Accused of being rude by a member of staff(Amy) because of a slight raise of tone in my voice, sums up customer service in this gym, been a member for 8+ years, gyms consistently gone down hill Exclusive spa area open to anyone for weeks, in which you pay extra for, zero safety in this gym any more , disgusting

Fantastic experience: Lucy sorted me out with a lovely strawberry shake. She was really polite and good to talk to while I was waiting.

Positive experience: Nicola Dowdall is by far the best most underrated instructor for this gym classes and Blaze. She is expert and consistently delivers amazing classes. Sarah Osbornes Rhythm just surpasses her energy, music and choreography takes you to a place in Balearics that you’d have to pay good money for entry. Rebecca Austin Pilates classes are expert and are like a prescription for the body. The club members give it a good feel and community but the old infrastructure and cleanliness and the maintenance and old equipment has let it down that and its inability to deal with capacity numbers which The plunge pool is by far the best asset to this gym bar its bacon cheeseburgers!

Fantastic experience: Been a member at this gym for 8 years now. The staff are amazing in the kids club which my 2 daughters attend on a regular basis, as well as the staff in the bar area, especially Kristina who has my coffee ready and waiting for me in no time. I regularly use the gym and have PT sessions every week with Andrea. She helps to keep my fitness level and challenge my strength. She also gives me a plan on what to do during the week too to keep my motivation up. The swimming pool is a great space and the swimming instructors do a great job teaching children how to swim. Overall, a fantastic gym for families with staff who give your experience a personal touch!

Fantastic experience: CYCLONE review - I had never tried cyclone up until a few months ago and wow don’t I love it! Having a 45 minute session, booked in, ready to be smashed helps with my crazy busy life. On top of this, Laura is an absolutely fantastic instructor. Although I could hate her with what she puts up through sometimes she’s helping us all be the best versions of ourselves. She’s friendly, a great laugh & so welcoming to new joiners. Thanks Laura <3

Negative experience: Disappointing and Stressful Experience - Not Worth the Price I signed up for David Lloyd Dartford six months ago and was recommended the Platinum package, which I later realized was not good value for money. The spa area is often unclean, and area is busy and facilities are sometimes out of order or poorly maintained. It feels like I was misled into signing up for something that didn’t deliver what was promised. The worst part is being trapped in what feels like an imprisoning contract. The customer service is terrible — it takes nearly five working days just to get a response to an email, and the front desk staff have been rude and aggressive. My wife was even made anxious about going to the club because she was stopped at the entrance multiple times for not booking a free PT class and was wrongly stopped over a supposed issue with our direct debit, despite us having already set it up. Overall, it’s been a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Definitely not what we expected, and it’s created unnecessary stress.

So at the heart of this premium sports club is a rich seam of fantastic instructors who encourage members to maintain a lifelong commitment to health and fitness. A special thanks to Laura Wyatt and Hayley Watson who push everyone hard in their Blaze and Cyclone classes. If you want to improve your cardio fitness and strength, these are just what the doctor ordered. The quality of the facilities are second-to-none with exercise machines and equipment recently upgraded offering the best there is around. I would encourage anyone reading this review to arrange a tour around the club to really find out what they are missing. My family and I have been members of David Lloyd Dartford for years now and that won’t be changing anytime soon. Go on, give it a try!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of a gym for the last 25 years - VirginActive(Thundersley) previously and now David Llloyd(Southend, Basildon and currently Dartford) for the last 8 years. I'm a very keen cyclist and rely on my spin/cyclone/rhythm classes to keep me in tip-top condition. I have to say, the Cyclone classes at David Lloyd are by far the best I have attended. I should know, as I am a certified instructor myself :-) All the instructors are great but if I had to pick one out, it would be Laura Wyatt. The time and dedication put into the choreography to the beat of the high intensity music is second to none. There is no better feeling when you are completely 'gassed out' and then you get a 'tune' come on that gets you back in the zone :-) Keep up the great work team! P.S. Must also make a shout out to Julie Elderton (Rhytm) as she is an absolute nutter, in the nicest possible way. Always great to attend her classes.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had the pleasure of joining Laura’s Spin classes, and they’re a blast for anyone into Spin. Laura has this amazing talent for keeping us pumped throughout the whole session, always pushing us to go beyond our limits and beat our personal records. Her energy is contagious, and the vibe she creates is super encouraging and invigorating. Plus, the classes now have brand new bikes and uses Cyclone technology, which gives us feedback online on our workouts after each session. It’s great for tracking performance and seeing the progress made. Whether you’re a Spin pro or just getting started, Laura’s classes will definitely boost your fitness journey.

Fantastic experience: 6.15am exercise class with the amazing Laura W class tutor, always smiling and expertly guiding the class with skill and energy. David Lloyd is so lucky to have such a great instructor.

Fantastic experience: Great club, great facilities, wicked instructors, especially would like to mention/recommend Laura Wyatt an absolute impeccable instructor her classes are second to none!! If you are a mum like myself I can highly recommend the crèche the staff both in the crèche and kids clubs are brilliant with the children. Beth, Bonnie, Carol and Natalia who work in the crèche are so attentive and really care for the babies/toddlers and build lovely relationships with them, and my older children adore Libby in the kids club she’s good fun with them and they look forward to going and seeing her!

Fantastic experience: David loyds in Dartford is a lovely club with great staff and amenities. The gym is well equipped and the instructors are knowledgeable and available to help. Nice pool, everywhere was clean . Went as a guest pass on a Friday morning and enjoyed every second of it. However, the high light of the visit was when I have made a visit to the bar area . Lady who took my order ( Kristina) was lovely, so attentive , checked on me many times knowing that I am new at the club. She put me at ease with her lovely smile and served best coffee I had in a long time. 'David loyds' you have a Super Star in your house, look after her. Thank you Kristina.

Not only is she a phenomenal cyclone instructor, since she has taken over as blaze supervisor, classes are busier, the timetable is so much better and not to mention she has brought in new instructors which has given blaze an extra buzz about it! Fantastic experience: Fantastic classes and amazing staff. Cyclone and Blaze keep me coming back to the club on a daily basis. Laura Wyatt in particular stands out, she always goes the extra mile and is constantly updating her cyclone routines and playlists to keep things fresh and interesting. I know it takes a lot of time and effort, and it's greatly appreciated. I've done cyclone at other clubs where they just keep churning out the same routines, it makes such a positive difference to the experience when you have passionate staff like Laura.
