Fantastic experience: Only slight gripe is when I stay in the outhouse Hepburn house because on a bad weather it's not nice to go outside to come to main building. Other than that, if I stay anywhere near the area I make sure it's this hotel. Love it. Foods tip top too

Negative experience: Visited for festive afternoon tea, GF was awful bought out different sandwiches to everyone else even though no gluten in fillings bread was stale when asked waiter said oh it was prepared earlier! No Christmas festive crackers etc given all other tables had festive bits No service had to get waiters attention for top up of drinks Very disappointed definitely not worth the money at all

Fantastic experience: We hosted our wedding reception at Easthampstead Park and it was nothing short of magical. Lilli was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole planning process and ever so accommodating to all our ideas to help us create the perfect day. The teams on our wedding day, the duty manager Lilly and all the F&B/ banqueting and reception staff were absolutely incredible, nothing was too much trouble and ourselves and our guests had a fantastic time. The food (and cocktails) are delicious and the hotel itself is clean and tidy with gorgeous decor a lovely grounds and we will be back to celebrate our anniversaries with you!

Positive experience: Booked to attend and stay after Xmas join-a-party. The service at reception and at breakfast was fantastic, the bar in the afternoon was understaffed but did their best. The Xmas party was great and loved the location. The Xmas tree is breathtaking, the building and park look grand. The room and overall cleanliness could be improved.

Negative experience: Had booked the Sunday set menu lunch service to celebrate our anniversary. The estate and setting is stunning but we felt service is a complete let down. The restaurant staff were not friendly/kind and we didn't feel welcomed. We were rushed continuously till we placed the order. The lady who took the order hardly conversed and answered with nodding or just shaking her head! This was when we were the first to arrive for the lunch service and all other tables were empty. Though the service courtesy got better later on but it did leave a bad impression overall. The service and food turnaround is quick but we hardly felt relaxed/at ease.

Fantastic experience: I recently stayed at here for a work conference, and it was fantastic! My room was beautifully decorated and overlooked a stunning fountain garden—such a peaceful view to wake up to. Breakfast was equally amazing, with plenty of fresh, delicious options and great service. I can’t wait to return!

Fantastic experience: Booked an afternoon tea over the phone. The experience was great as they listened and interpreted our requests exactly. On arrival at the hotel you are stunned by the long drive with the grand building at the top. Be careful though if you have guests with issues walking to let them out in front of the hotel as the main car park is a short walk away on a slope. There is ample parking and the bays are wide enough. Once we went into reception and mentioned we were here for afternoon tea we were escorted to the dining room. Greeted with a smile and a table by the window with a great view. We were introduced to the waiter and supplied with water. On looking at the menu there was a good selection of teas to choose from. The waiter confirmed our individual requests and brought out exactly what was ordered. The scones were absolutely lovely and selection of cakes just right. Our waiter was attentive and available for any requests. The setting was quiet and we were able to have a few hours to catch up as friends with loads to talk about. We even took a stroll in the hotel to the bar area and around the grand staircase. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back to do the same on a warm sunny day to sit on the terrace.

Fantastic experience: We went to celebrate my Mums 90th Birthday with afternoon tea! Not only did Zoe and the team decorate the table and part of the room. Mum was spoiled rotten even with a gorgeous chocolate and cherry gateaux. She said her 90th was the best ever birthday. An incredible venue and amazing team. Highly recommended. Nit just for staying.

Positive experience: Gorgeous location and building. My only downside was that I expected more amenities as I had one of the larger Family Rooms. Great size but no fridge, iron/ironing board, robe or slippers which was surprising as I've had all of those in more basic hotels. Stay was for an event but I would consider coming back on my own.

Positive experience: The hotel experience is quite good, and the staff is friendly. However, the breakfast is disappointing. There’s no real buffet, just the usual cereal, coffee, and tea, which is standard fare. If you opt for the breakfast, don’t expect much variety.

Negative experience: I stayed at this hotel as part of a business trip. Check in was easy and was told how to get to my bedroom. The bedroom looked clean and tidy. The building is absolutely stunning, wish I got there earlier so I could’ve walked the grounds. The shocking part of my hotel stay which I know won’t be the same for others was when I woke up at 06:30 with the sound of water dripping on the carpet. When I turned on the light there was water dripping from one of the spotlights in the ceiling. I immediately went to the reception and was purely told sorry and she would call maintenance (no offer to move me to a different bedroom). When I went back to the bedroom the dripping was even worse, there was water dripping on the spotlights in the bathroom and on the bathroom doorway. I quickly got ready and packed my bag and headed to reception again to say the flooding was worse (I even moved a bucket under dripping to prevent the carpet getting completely soaked). I was only asked if I was staying another night or if I wanted to check out. I didn’t want to get into arguments so I just checked out even before breakfast was open!!! I understand these kind of things can happen and it’s no one’s fault. The one star is because of how the hotel staff managed the situation.

Positive experience: It was ok. The first room we had smelled terribly but they moved us to another when we asked. Giant bathroom was poorly though out, only one sink, ample room for his and hers? Small bath with a shower over it, and tons of empty space. Only harsh overhead lights so not a relaxing bathing experience. Two hangers in the wardrobe. Breakfast service was poor, we weren't asked how we wanted our coffee, our son wasn't asked what he wanted to drink, cutlery was not brought, and the table was not cleared. We ended up sitting surrounded by empty dishes, waiting to catch someone's eye. It wasn't busy at all! We wanted yoghurt and were told we had to pay for it as only cereal and toast came with one additional item from the menu. When we finished eating we were told we needed to pay there and then so my husband had to go up to our room and come back before we could leave. I've never experienced this before in a hotel.

Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure of staying here with a friend recently. It is a stunning property. Beautiful picturesque grounds, eye catching architecture, ideal for weddings, but also has some good conference and meeting spaces. Located only a short drive from Bracknell station, this property is well served for transport links. It is a lovely peaceful area and you are certain to feel special as you are driven up the long driveway to the main house. The room was tastefully decorated and spacious. Good sized bathroom, with nice Rituals products. The bed was large and comfortable, although I found the pillows to be too hard for me - so a pillow menu would be a nice touch. The gym is large and high-tech and open to residents and non-residents. Highly recommend you taking dinner. The food is very good, high quality, with a great presentation. Breakfast was a slight let-down. It had a very limited offering of fresh pastries, packets of cereal, and fruit salad. It would be nice to also have some sliced meat and cheese too. The cooked breakfast offering is better, however parts of my meal were not as hot as they could have been (e.g. perfect temperature sausage but with lukewarm eggs, etc) - so that was a shame - , but it all tasted nice. Overall if you are looking for a place to "get away from it all" then I highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic experience: I recently attended a wedding at Easthampstead Park, and it was truly magical. The elegant architecture and beautifully gardens provided the perfect backdrop for my friend’s special day. The venue’s interiors were equally stunning, with grand rooms filled with historic charm and character. The staff were attentive. The catering was very impressive, offering a delicious menu that impressed all the guests. The entire experience was unforgettable, and I can’t imagine a more perfect setting for a wedding. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a picturesque venue.

Positive experience: Stayed here with a group of friends for 3 days over the weekend, and it was very disappointing considering the room rate we paid. It's basically a wedding conveyor belt venue and does not have enough facilities to cater to residents who are not part of a wedding group .The bar area is very small and basic and needs a total makeover and it's the only place where you can get a coffee or refreshments however if the wedding groups are in you can forget it . We only ate breakfast once in the 3 days because of the standard and the time it took to arrive it was also the worst hollandaise sauce ever and straight from a carton, and also the female supervisor (foreign) was extremely rude to us on day one . To top it all off, we were refused sunday roast lunch at 12:30 because we had not pre booked and the kitchen was busy because there was yet another wedding on ! Lovely well kept grounds but would definitely not stay again

Fantastic experience: Wow! Simply WOW! It's been renovated, and it looks awesome!

Negative experience: I have attended a few events here and always feel let down by the food. The grounds are stunning but I personally wouldnt choose further events here. No garnish and very unimaginative sandwich fillings. The sarnies were loaded but Margarine which made them very sickly. Had chicken tandoori too but the colour was pale and flavour was too gentle yet samosas were overpowered by aniseed.

Negative experience: The building is stunning and the grounds are gorgeous and so well kept. The place is also spotlessly clean but we absolutely felt like 3rd rate citizens as we had 2 well behaved small dogs. Staff were grumpy because they had to set up breakfast in the bar for us and we had dinner in the bar and chose from the expensive restaurant menu but did not receive restaurant style service. Having to go to the bar for drinks. There was an astronomical £40 charge for the dogs, and when I challenged it was advised it was for a thorough clean. Not sure what clean they normally do. Our room was tidy when we left. Always very happy to pay a dod charge when we stay in a hotel but would expect to at least get a water bowl but nothing. Ideal for a wedding if you are happy with grumpy staff but don’t bother visiting if you have dogs.

Fantastic experience: I had such a lovely weekend here recently. The staff at reception when we came in were kind and helpful all weekend. There was a large wedding happening on the Saturday which "took over" the garden and outdoor seating of the bar, but that's to be expected on a summer weekend, I think. The food was very good, although the "poached" eggs at breakfast were actually more hard-boiled, which was a disappointment BOTH mornings. The cheese burger, on the other hand, was delicious and I would highly recommend it. The bar staff may need to be reminded of how to make a few drinks, too. We ordered just a tonic with cucumber when we first arrived and were told they didn't have any cucumber. Then, we ordered an aperol spritz, and it came with cucumber floating in it. The next day when we ordered it the aperol spritz again, it had no garnish whatsoever and tasted more of soda water than actual aperol. All in all, though, it was a lovely stay and I'd be happy to stay again.

Fantastic experience: lovely hotel with great location and good food

Negative experience: Service not good. No one takes responsibility. I asked water bottles and also requested to refill milk in coffee machine. Staff told me, we are refilling milk only once a day because this is complementary. Also I attended one family wedding and we are facing lots of issues and there isn’t any staff from venue.

Negative experience: I’m very confused as to how this is a 4 star hotel.. We were so excited pulling up to the beautiful location and we were expecting the rooms to be just as wonderful. What we arrived to was dirty pillows covered in other peoples hair. I mean, obvious hair. There were cobwebs on the curtains with spiders. We went to tell the front desk and they moved us to a room with.. less cobwebs but still cobwebs. Why are there still cobwebs if you’re supposed to be cleaning between guests? They promise that there is central air, but the rooms are ridiculously hot. It was very hard to sleep in the heat. They only gave us one towel that honestly, does not look or smell clean. The shower does not drain so lord knows what filth our feet are soaking in. I think they need to 1. Put a heck of a lot more effort into maintenance and cleaning. A heck of a lot more effort. And 2. Make the price match the experience, because if you’re paying for 4 star service and then having constant issues then the experience is a massive let down. If you boasted 2/3 star service then I feel that the expectations would match the reality and it wouldn’t feel like such a scam.

Positive experience: Went for a meal in the restaurant, very tasty food with the most amazing waiter. Very sharp and formal gentleman. Tasty drinks and desserts. Ample free parking a short walk from the main building. Only downfall was the disabled toilet was somewhat unclean.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, Food was near Gourmet quality (very delicious) Rooms were spotless and reasonably priced The hotel itself is just wow! Being in the middle of just about nowhere makes this 10x better, no noisy city traffic, and no annoying city lights that keep you up! I enjoyed myself, there is lots to see (the beautiful parks and forests) the drive up the driveway was impressive! Good job I would stay again Edit: i go by Iben online (room 231)

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Amazing surroundings on this majestic 80 acre estate. The rooms are nice, staff really friendly and eager to help solve your requests. Breakfast is great, while dinner in the restaurant leave me slightly unsatisfied. I had the pigeon, which was nice, but I'd expect something extra. The on premises East Park gym is great and free of charge for residents. Dog friendly hotel, which is important for us when traveling with our show dogs. Great trails for walking or running right outside the doorstep. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: I wish I could honour 5 stars but the two experiences I have had with the food service in the bar are unfortunately not reflecting of how wonderful the building is! My first visit was to experience a Vegan (Plant Based) Afternoon Tea. It took a long time to come and I did specifically request gluten free bread for my sandwiches. When the food arrived it had to be returned as the bread was not gluten free. Waiting further more, the replacement sandwiches contained meat!! This would of course make any vegan uncomfortable... The sandwiches were rectified apologetically but during the wait we had helped ourselves to the scones and desserts first due to being peckish!! The chocolate browny was quite a wet texture lacking flavour, similar to the red velvet cake, however the lemon tart and bakewell tarts were very nice. After this experience we didn’t feel the afternoon tea was worth £35.00 per head. During my second visit I ordered the plant-based club sandwich requesting gluten free bread and what arrived was the plant-based burger! Again after a long wait I didn’t want to request what I ordered because it would’ve taken too long to arrive. My parents said the coffee was fantastic which is a big hit! The venue is gorgeous and dog friendly (bonus), the decor is classy, the grounds are kept in such good condition so I cannot give less than 4 stars! To achieve 5* I would suggest the chef to learn more about the incredible flavours that can be achieved with plant food. The menu offers such basic plant based options when you can do some much with plants!! And for the experience from staff to have a more efficient offering during the service would really make this place even more great! This venue deserves to be seen as the best from all walks so I hope my feedback is taken as positive criticism.

Positive experience: I recently attended a workshop here. the facilities are really good including the spacious car parking, hall, coffee etc. the lunch was bit disappointing as food containers were empty while people were still standing in the queue. they should have better prepared accounting number of people attending the any event.

Fantastic experience: We came to Easthampstead Park in Wokingham for a family gathering at the restaurant and we very much enjoyed it. The service was brilliant and the luxurious and contemporary design of the building was impressive. The food itself, both mains and dessert, were great too with a variety of options for all dietary requirements. The staff were generally friendly and there are plenty of outdoor facilities and green space at your disposal. Overall, we were impressed by what we saw. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: A lovely hotel within a 5 minute drive of Bracknell town centre for shopping. Lovely gardens for walks, fantastic venue for a wedding and very nice staff. The bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever stayed in. Breakfast was superb and I'd recommend this place to anyone. It would be a fantastic spa place if they had spa facilities. Let's see if this happens in the future.

Positive experience: Had a nice stay at Easthampstead Park Hotel. Overall I would say 4.5. The room was good in the annex with everything I needed. No AC but there was a fan. The seating areas outside are lovely, helped by glorious weather, and grounds fantastic. I was very impressed by the gym. Best hotel gym I have ever gone to. The hotel its self is very well presented and clean. For the most part the staff are friendly and polite. There were a couple of exceptions. A waitress at dinner wasn't outwardly friendly but sort if acceptable, certainly not warm. The breakfast staff less friendly especially who I presumed was the manageress. On contrast the young lady on the desk, Sat 11 May, was super helpful and friendly. And the bar staff were all pleasant, polite and friendly. Be cautious with the website meal deals. They are all on the same page with same link buttons but breakfast and dinner are very different. Breakfast is £12.50 and includes all there is to offer including the buffet. This isn't clear as the menu has prices next to everything and no one tells you what the pre-booked breakfast includes. However, dinner is very different. It costs £40 a person but is a completely meaningless number as you pay the prices on the menu for what you have. By booking a £40 dinner you are simply booking a table. On quality of food. The dinner was very good. Thoroughly enjoyed all 3 courses, which incidentally came to much more than £40. The breakfast however was a bit average. Not unpleasant but I've had better in much worse hotels. Overall a great 20 hours at the hotel and I would definitely visit again.

Positive experience: Grand grade 2 mansion hotel in a lovely parkland. Great for a weekend escape and weddings. The room we stayed in was adequate, no fuss and functional. And yes, the gym is fantastic. Staff were very helpful... All in all worth it.

Positive experience: Stayed over night following a recent incident at the hotel (see previous review trip advisor) in which we received a £75 voucher. Being it was my husband’s birthday and since we have not had a night away in four years since Adopting two kids I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to arrange a night away. First impressions of hotel, the drive up to the main building is always exceptional. The grounds and exterior of the main building give the impression of a luxury stay. Following the millions of pounds spent I felt it important again to praise the fantastic refurbishment, having been to the hotel pre-pandemic on many corporate events it looks amazing. Hotel front of house staff warm and welcoming. Special mention to Jake (food and beverage manager). Check in was smooth no issues, we was duly directed to our room. On exiting the lift I was hit by a smell that too me was like a mixture of must and mothballs, I said to my husband have they had a mothball convention today it was that strong. My husband slept well, I found the pillows and mattress to be uncomfortable. We all have our own individualised views on pillows and mattress, we have a high end specialist mattress at home and maybe this along with the music playing due to a wedding and being next to the window meant my sleep was disrupted. Breakfast was nothing special we’ve had worse, eggs cooked to order everything else pre cooked. Have had better breakfast in a local garden centre. As like in four in a bed on channel 4 the sausage was to me underwhelming and in my nonprofessional view did not appear to be locally sourced and felt just ok not wow. I don’t wish this review to appear biased in anyway based on my previous experience. Yes the hotel is stunning the staff attentive and the grounds exceptional. Would I go out of my way to stay here again. Probably not we’ve stayed in many luxury hotels across the globe both on land and at sea. Whilst the building is amazing the smaller details such as room inspections and minor details of cleanliness mean my stay would almost certainly sadly due to this experience not be repeated.

Positive experience: Just had a Cheesburger in the bar. Excellent presentation, and it was very tasty. Also, great staff. The only thing that ruined the experience was the runny/starchy/horrible mayo ('Coronet') they serve.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely two night stay at this hotel. We had a rear facing room in the main victorian mansion. The room was well presented on our arrival, no issues to report. Inside and outside of the property very agreeable. It's a great base for any trip, business or pleasure

Fantastic experience: We went here for Mothers day lunch. Lovely surroundings and friendly helpful staff. The menu was limited to Sunday lunch or fish and I had the smoked salmon starter and beef roast main. The starter was four small pieces of salmon on a plate which could have done with some salad or bread. The roast was very nice, well cooked but somewhat lacking in veg. The brownie pudding was lovely. We had tea and coffee in the bar area afterwards, which is very comfortable and nicely decorated. They gave me a lovely little box of chocolates which I thought was a nice touch for Mothers day. I'm looking forward to going back to try the a la carte menu at some point.

Fantastic experience: Stopped over night and had confidence next day. Room was nice, on the smaller side but had a really nice and spacious bathroom. Evening meal was very nice, and farmhouse English breakfast too which was cooked to order rather than buffet food. We had a cooked lunch too, again very nice. Confidence facilitates were good and the grounds very nice for a wander around.

Positive experience: While the room was lovely and clean and had a very comfortable bed it was so tight for space that anything more than a one night stay would have been challenging. That said, I had a good night's sleep and overall a pleasant stay. The staff were lovely and very attentive and the setting was beautiful. I would recommend a stay there just look at what rooms you are booking.

Fantastic experience: Went for afternoon tea on Mothers Day. It was very busy but that didn't affect the service. The atmosphere was good and the room a perfect size. The food was really nice with the cake selection better than other places that charge more. My Mum was given some chocolates which was a lovely extra touch and she really enjoyed her afternoon.

Positive experience: Our meal was delicious, the service was great and the ambience was very nice. I only have 1 criticism, our table was in a corner and we were so close to the wall and the table next to us that the waitress wasn't able to serve everyone on the table. She had to give the plates etc to us and we had to pass them. Not ideal.

Positive experience: very impressive entrance to this manor house hotel, very long drive haha. Checked in quickly and straight up to the room. overall it was very clean and well kept. Comfy bed and great tv. Used the gym while staying and it wasnt the best. Alot of the weight equipment was very outdated & no instructions for use. Had dinner in the resturant which was superb, best pork i have ever had. Slept really well at night. Breakfast was meh. Bacon was chewy and the 'bloomer' toast was a seeded loaf. Bloomer is white bread, let the breakfast down. Overall, a good stay but unsure if i would return.

Positive experience: We really enjoyed a breakfast meeting for three. The 'main' courses were great, however the coffee was cold and expensive for £4 a cup, unusual to be charged by the cup for breakfast, the service was lacklustre at best. It served a purpose but overall because of the lack of service, probably would not return.

Fantastic experience: I want to say a special thank you to the wonderful manager Leo who was excellent on Saturday. Very friendly, welcoming and a helpful gentleman! He showed us around many rooms to satisfy us with a choice of room went the extra mile. Lovely clean rooms and will definitely be visiting again.

Negative experience: Leo is a very sarcastic manager, I found him not accommodating to his guests. We waited for him to reply to us but he assumed he did not need to. The young lady working the evening shift in the 12/2/24 was great and highly recommend guests speak to her if they are staying there.

Fantastic experience: A clean and spacious hotel with comfortable beds, excellent food and pleasant staff. Dog friendly and the adjoining park makes for a wonderful afternoon walk. Most of all, excellent value for money. Will definitely go back.

Positive experience: A nice hotel with a beautiful large area to explore in the grounds. Would have got 5 stars, but the heating in the room didn't come on during the evening. Deer are roaming in the grounds, which were wonderful to watch in the early morning. Breakfast was great and staff very friendly.

Everything was really fresh, and the service was attentive too. My partner and I quite quickly agreed that this afternoon tea was miles better than one we had at Pennyhill Park, and we will definitely be back!

Negative experience: Went for a coporate dinner - the food wasn't great and took a VERY long time to arrive. The warehouse style venue around the back has zero atmosphere and it's a 5 minute walk from the car park... Would not recommend

Fantastic experience: I came in for an afternoon tea and it was delicious ! The scones and salmon sandwiches were my favorite ! The staff was very kind and lovely, I will definitely be back. The outdoor space is absolutely beautiful !!

Positive experience: I stayed in Hepburn House, a separate building from the main hotel, for one night for a work function. The room is decorated in a modern style with a very comfortable bed. I paid £99 inclusive of breakfast at the Terrace restaurant, which I particularly enjoyed - toasted sourdough bread topped with avocado, smoked salmon, poached egg and jalapeño hollandaise made to order with tea. Even though I did not use the gym, I got some exercise and fresh air in by going for a short walk around the grounds of the hotel.

Positive experience: Caveat - difficult review. My mother just passed away 03 Jan so unexpectedly visiting Bracknell with my brothers (from Australia and Warrington) so stayed one night village hotel Bracknell then one night easthampstead park hotel. The village hotel is a bit like an airport hotel but the staff were really helpful and friendly. Very good experience even if the hotel is a bit budget feel (room price inc breakfast £99). Easthampstead park is not much different price wise £109. It is really a banqueting hotel doesn’t have the feel of a an upmarket 4 star. My brother had stayed before and found lots of extras charged for breakfast if you didn’t push the prepay link for £12.50. So we did push it but the hotel said “not received, nothing we can do”. Feels a bit like the computer says no and staff just look blank. We were not in the mood to challenge this as clearly it was a difficult time emotionally for us. The funeral is this Monday so we are all booked into the suites Sunday and Monday ready for the funeral Monday. I’d say in terms of looking pretty it is excellent and the rooms lovely so is a high end four star hotel. In terms of service it feels like a - 1 star. Bit disappointing and frustrating.

Positive experience: Gorgeous location. We use this a lot with work for events and meetings. Service is always good and food is really nice. Only comment as this is such a historic house and venue, the is no air con in the rooms, which is normally fine but not if there is a heatwave. We were there in the summer and rooms were unbearable almost as bad as staying at home! So I guess it's just a heads up to manage expectations during those 2 weeks a year its hot in the UK

Fantastic experience: Although clearly aimed at the wedding market, we had a wonderful overnight stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and modern. The menu and food were also of a high standard.

Fantastic experience: Why stay in the city when you can rest and relax in a castle? Beautiful accommodations, grounds, and delicious afternoon tea. The staff was very helpful. Highly recommend the English breakfast and looking forward to our next stay.

Positive experience: Nice hotel but dinner and breakfast service was poor waitress seemed like they were rushing us to finish meal and service charges applied which we were not told about as we would have order bar menus instead

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place to stay. Warm, friendly welcome with all staff professional and attentive. Impressive looking grounds, but the weather kept us indoors. No complaints though as gorgeous decor and toasty rooms. Evening meal was just incredible, and breakfast pretty tasty too. Hubby used gym which was busy but he managed to use the loose equipment rather than any machinery. Would highly recommend a stay. Perfect for big events such as weddings. Plus couples breaks.

Positive experience: Pleasant overnight stay. Staff in reception very friendly. Nice feel to the hotel, thanks to what seems like a recent refurbishment. Food and staff in restaurant OK but I resent the automatic application of 12.5% service charge that I definitely would not have freely given based on my experience on the day.

Fantastic experience: Easthampstead Park arranged our Work Christmas Party at 2 weeks notice, as our original venue cancelled. I am actually glad they cancelled, because Easthampstead Park was a much better venue. The staff worked so hard to give all such an amazing night, the food was fantastic, entertainment spectacular, everyone danced until the early hours. All of my team have commented on what a wonderful night they had. I want to thank you and your team for all your hard work. Negative experience: Attended Fire & Ice Christmas Party this weekend. Had to walk across pea-shingle in high heeled shoes and lost my footing on more than one occassion, thankfully it was dry otherwise it would have been a very damp/slippery evening. The cold starters are laid out ready, with an entire marquee full of people breathing over your food + the addition of gas heaters also made it very warm and an ideal breeding ground for "bugs". Once we were asked to sit the food took ages to arrive if you were having soup (which came in different potion sizes), then it was nearly an hours wait from when we sat to get out main courses - this was actually alright but a piece of beef, some mash potato & a 1/2 a carrot is hardly a main course. I left before pudding so cannot comment on this. The waiting staff cannot clear a table properly and just pile plates on top of each other. The DJ was playing the music so loud at the start, you couldn't hear the person beside you, let alone across the table. The other side of the room had finished their meal and were up dancing before we'd even had our main course. The entertainment was mediocre 2 girls doing the splits/walking around swinging lit up batons. Save your money and avoid at all costs

Positive experience: I went to this place for business trip and hotel has a really good vibe with old architecture which is well preserved with modern amenities. It is bit far from London, but if you are looking for get a way or quiet weekend, this is the place to consider. Also nice spot for weddings

Negative experience: Came for breakfast and was really disappointed with food as menu wasnt as advertised and the room where they serve the breakfast is the same where hotel people eat their ordinary breakfast with tomatoes and sausages on the floor and nobody cleaning it. And the cherry on the cake was a coffee what totally burned. Absolutely bad experience! Was thinking to come for festive dinner, but definetely no longer the case. Would not recommend the place

Negative experience: Booked via work, and it's been less than great. No one particular thing sticks out - it's an aggregate of a number of small things that indicate the place isn't particularly well managed. So far - - A MEWP / Cherry Picker seemingly dumped in the car park - not sure why there's industrial construction equipment sitting idle when there's no aerial work ongoing, but whatever. - A skip filled with rubbish on one of the main walking routes through the campus. - No-one managing the dining floor during the morning / breakfast slots, and general disinterest in keeping check on covers / diners. - Bar surface / serving area seems to be a dumping point for glasses and menus, and it just looks not very well maintained or managed. - Room service trays / leftovers not collected or cleared overnight in some areas. - Drinks deliveries dumped in the middle of the through-fare during the morning breakfast slot - why aren't your barmen / draymen managing this? - Sat down for breakfast - had my order taken, then had to follow up with a waitress after it hadn't arrived 10 minutes later. It eventually arrived (coffee) in a white stained IKEA mug. Which is nice if I was back on site, but not in a four star hotel. Individually none of this would have been an issue, until I asked to move rooms; I'd been put above the gym on-site, and the noise is, to be blunt, ridiculous. Up until 10pm there's music blasting out and weight drops reverberating through the entire building like doors slamming. It's sub-optimal after working all day, and I've another two nights of this. I asked to move rooms and was told to check for cancellations in the morning. Not the answer I was hoping for, given how quiet the hotel is, so have opted to cancel my booking and move somewhere else. The general atmosphere is apathetic - some staff members are clearly making the effort, but the overall morale seems poor with no attention to detail. Definitely not staying here again, and advising the business to remove them from the corporate travel system.

Negative experience: Do not book a wedding here!! They promise you things and then back track. The worst thing was that no one to be seen from the venue event managers on the actual wedding day to help when needed (as promised)!!! This led to venue set up being late, music not playing, and no one to make sure the right people are at the right places.

Fantastic experience: Stunning Victorian mansion that has served many functions throughout its life. The Most recent reincarnation being a super Hotel. Decor and views are superb, food, though pricey was astonishingly good. Rooms huge with vaulted ceilings. Excellent cleanliness. Highly recommended xxx

Negative experience: If you’re looking for a place to rest, relax and recharge then Easthampstead park is NOT the place for you; (unless you own decent earplugs) I love being kept up late and then woken up at 6am by the pounding bass music and the sound of dropped weights coming from the gym which vibrates the whole room. Cut my trip short, slept in the car and plan to stay elsewhere instead. What’s the point of offering gym utilities when it comes at the detriment of those who have to sleep near it. The basic requirements of a hotel room is that I’m able to sleep; this was not possible. Side note: the desk lamp shocks you when you turn it on and makes a bad electrical humming noise, and the awful shower design lacking any real screen means you flood the room with even the smallest of showers.

Fantastic experience: Stayed in a lovely family room. Food is very tasty and well presented. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Great place to stay if you're going to Coral Reef and The Look Out. Recommended for a quiet stay outside Bracknell proper.

Negative experience: When we arrived the receptionist appeared kind and friendly. but her attitude definitely changed when she saw that the reservation had not been made directly with them, and it was a discounted rate. one sentence in particular was particularly rude, almost offensive. It is also unprofessional to mention the discount and the purchase site: it was an extra gift from my husband for our anniversary and the receptionist had little tact. Her colleague, during the training phase, saw my disappointment on my face without a shadow of a doubt. I didn't say anything or mention the fact that I am a hotel inspector and contractor because I wasn't working, but this attitude was noticed and not appreciated at all. My one star rating is based on the 'welcome', not on the structure which is very beautiful

Positive experience: The location was beautiful and the room was lovely and had everythingw we needed along with a view of the park side of the hotel. Unfortunately the service was not up to par, my partner qued up to 30 minutes for our initial drinks (the bar was being shared with a wedding party, who did not appreciate other hotel stayers were in the same line) We also had a dinner reservation at the hotel where we ordered wine, and it took over 20 minutes to arrive by which time we had eaten our starters, the food was average Inc my mains. We did point out the service wasnt great and they did respond to our concerns, which was appreciated, the reception staff in particular were very helpful. We would go back in the future but would expect better service overall.

Fantastic experience: Back for our 1 year wedding anniversary which we got included in our wedding package when we got married at easthampsted park on 24.09.2022. It was amazing being back at the place we love !! The room was amazing, quiet and best night sleep had in such a long time. The chief is amazing and food was just out of this world. The staff always friendly and helpful and we loved they wished us a happy anniversary. Thank you again for making our stay so special always going have special place in our hearts.

Positive experience: We only came for drinks but we found the staff to be friendly, polite and attentive. A beautiful building with plenty of parking, ideal for events. The food in the bar area looked very appetising.

Negative experience: My parents had visited this hotel and had praised how beautiful it was and how great the dinner and breakfast was. They recommended we should specifically spend the bank holiday weekend here. The journey was a 3 hour drive from where we live. Upon arrival we were impressed with the venue itself however our room was exceptionally small for two people. There was no room to open the doors or move around at all. Having travelled to many countries and dined at many restaurants. The service at this restaurant was the worst I've ever experienced anywhere I've been before. Primarily from the same waitress both at dinner and at breakfast. Service was slow, starters took at least an hour to arrive. The waitress was patronising when asked further questions regarding the menu. The questions however would not be answered. Every interaction with the waitress was argumentative and her tone was condescending. She was continuously passive aggressive throughout the entire dinner and also the following morning at breakfast. She made us feel we did not want to spend a second more in the dining room. It was an extremely unpleasant experience and I recommend the waitress receives this feedback and receives some customer service training. No customer should be made to feel this way especially if they have paid for this service. Asides from the waitress, the food brought to the table was incorrect, when asked for tea, coffee would be made, when asked for ketchup, brown sauce would be brought out and the waitress did not apologise instead we were told sternly that the ketchup was coming give her time. The price of the food was overpriced. I definitely will not be coming back to this venue and will not be recommending this to anybody. The restaurant is a real let down with one person in particular bringing the reputation down. The venue has potential but with that kind of customer service I do not need to experience that on my day off on a bank holiday weekend.

Positive experience: Rooms are nice but even when marketed as having soundproofing, it was incredibly loud ALL night. They have an airflow issue which means it seems like every door in the main house slams whenever another is opened. I also didn't get air conditioning and it was very warm and stuffy. Update: the Hepburn house rooms are far quieter in the evenings but also no air conditioning. The rooms are nicely decorated.

Fantastic experience: Excellent setting. My partner has a disability and the ensuite bathroom had everything she needed. Although, meals seemed a bit pricey, it was probably on a par with hotels of this standard.

Positive experience: A comfortable hotel with friendly and hospitable staff in a grand setting. We stayed in the Hepburn block which is separate from the mansion and not of the same standard. Still very nice but something to consider. Food and service was very good and the room was comfortable. Nice bathroom and overall a nice ambience throughout the hotel. The hotel is set on a large plot and it would be nice if they had walking routes or similar.

Positive experience: Hotel appearance is amazing. We stayed in the Hepburn wing, rooms are OK but really warm (no aircon) with winter duvets in the middle of summer and the fake brick wallpaper is a bit cheap. Breakfast was really good (sourdough bread with avocado and salmon) but it took an age to get a cup of coffee.

Fantastic experience: The gym manager Gentiana was very welcoming, allowing me to test out the gym. No pushy sales tactics which was a nice change. Other PTs I spoke to were professional and friendly, the equipment is good, looks different to your normal gym. Nice outdoor facilities for a bit of strong man or CrossFit.

Positive experience: Stayed here on 5 different occasions with friends. Really enjoy the hotel. Try to book the venue for a large gathering eating in the restaurant and music with drinks afterwards. Not accommodating at all only on their terms at ridiculously high price. Will not be returning.
