Negative experience: Always very filthy, if the staff are not cleaning properly please provide spray and tissue for members to clean equipment after use.

Negative experience: Rubbish and unwelcoming all round; - Lot of broken machines that take months to get fixed. - WiFi never works. - Can't get phone signal inside. - Often you can't scan in or out because you can't gey any signal and staff don't respond to the buzzer. - Uninterested staff that don't react when you report or request stuff. - When they're not training someone, male staff spend most of the time chatting to the ladies, female staff are engrossed in their phones. - Only good thing is it's handy for Sainsbury's to pop in after a workout! I don't go there anymore.

Positive experience: Has everything you need from a commercial gym. Big changing rooms with plenty of locker space. Sauna and cold shower available. Good selection of cardio equipment and weights. It is a lot crumbed into a small space but they have made the best out of the room them have. Atmospheric lighting which is so much nicer then then standard white lights. Helpful staff members. Many classes to choose from.

Positive experience: The Gym has all the equipment you need. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. However... I would like to highlight the on-going issue with Toilets and Showers. These need constant attention, which they are not getting. They need to be cleaned properly (with disinfectant) several times a day before people start to get ill. I've been coming to the gym for a good while now and I've never seen a dedicated cleaner that cleans these properly. They are declining, and it's literally all anyone ever talks about in the Mens changing rooms. The smell sometimes is actually horrendous. They need to be disinfected multiple times per day - this Gym has more than enough members coming through the doors to justify and afford a full time cleaner for each changing room. If the situation doesn't improve people are genuinely going to get ill, and I won't be sticking around. I'd like to state that this isn't a Staff Issue, and the staff should not be to blame - they are told to go in and clear the water off of the floors. These changing rooms need dedicated cleaners.

Negative experience: Was a great gym but it’s unfortunate how the Assistant manager invaded the General managers privacy via accessing private information and screenshotting It. Did not join in the end due to fear of my private data being accessed, screenshot, and used unlawfully.

Fantastic experience: I've given 5 stars because I hate complaining if I could just get an answer. I visited the gym today before work at about 10am to use the shower facilities. I drove in later in the evening around half 9 to have a late workout. The QR code allowed me into the building but wouldn't let me through at the turnstiles. Bit frustrating. Are we only allowed to train once a day? Seems a bit silly that I'm a member and can't access my own gym lol. I understand for security reasons the QR code needs a delay but an 11 hour lock out seems a bit extreme If someone could shed a bit of light on this so I don't waste fuel again cheers. Apart from that gyms pretty good when I can actually use it Cheers guys

Positive experience: Great gym, lots of choice of equipment both cardio and weight. Only downside there is nothing to clean the equipment after use, on a Saturday the equipment was smelling. Get some blue roll and spray please!!!!

Positive experience: I like how easy it is to click an app and train. The classes are also a bonus. Lots of modern equipment. I would give it 5 stars but the leaky roof and smelly toilet knocks it down. For such cheap prices it's the best deal in town for sure.

Negative experience: Only reason I joined was possibility of using before going to work but I cannot do that as changing rooms and showers are closed until 6am weekdays and 8am at weekends , I know the reason is because of the sauna but there should have been a separate door to lock that off so change room could be used , yes I know there is 1 downstairs but trying to get into it when there’s many others wanting to use it is crazy and also no where to stand when floor is soaking wet

YES....Do you have an account with my money in it? YES....Are you able to refund it....YES! what nonsense is this?

Negative experience: Ostracise people, absolutely vile thing to do. Also ridiculously busy, lots of kids, very hard to train properly. A very posey/fake gym. People more concerned with their tripods than their training.

Positive experience: Used this gym for a year since it opened and it did go down hill a little. Showers had become smelly and water pressure wasn't great. Issues with the building such as a leaky roof which meant buckets of water everywhere, main door seemed to stick and carpet inside very soggy when it rained. Overall fairly priced and a fair range of equipment, however staff never challenge anyone for not returning their weights, which happens way too often. Also didn't like the 'fat loss/drop a dress size' type challenges which imo didn't promote healthy weight loss.

Positive experience: Great gym overall, fairly priced and has a lot of equipment. during busy times (most evenings) its absolutely rammed, which can be frustrating, and this leads shortages of the most popular equipment. could do with slightly less cardio and more weights, cables etc... mens changing rooms are pretty disgusting, lack of ventilation leads to some ungodly odours... and the toilets and sauna are directly connected the main change area. this makes it very hot in there, toilets have no door to close it off from the main changing area and the smell just wafts in, which is unpleasant at the best of times. would have given 5 stars, but the changing rooms and the insane busyness of the place really let it down for me.

Negative experience: This has to be the first really negative review ive left im pretty gutted as im normally happy go lucky chilled person however Cancelled my membership on june with my son and daughter all on the same date time. Since then been inadated with emails and texts from jd gyms and another one ive never heard of saying my payment bounced , emailed back few times explaining cancelled in june , was then sent email to say confirmed cancellation not to worry ect. Still getting emails every week , they charged my son extra 15 pound for late payments when hes cancelled in june tried to take out of all our accounts trying charge late payments saying bounced . Told my bank .they told me they can see what i mean and its gettimg a joke now. We done everything we were asked to do click the link down below go into where to cancel my membership put ref number ect and still up to yesterday more emails and texts both on same day . Im actually feeling mentally drained my stress levels up full of anxitity . I can understand if i made a mistake but i done what was required to do as a member to cancel the correct way and my children , all cancelled our membership same day same time why we have to suffer constantly with emails texts trying to take money from our accounts . Someone obs has not or isnt doing there job correctly at jd gyms . Happy to update if they leave us alone.

Positive experience: Good gym, lots of machines and it's very clean. My concern is that there seems to be a lot of people that simply jump the barriers or push past you to use your entry / exit scan. My concern is unregistered people in the gym, it is exactly how a friend of mine had everything stolen from his locker at another gym.

Fantastic experience: Good gym so far. Price isn't crazy like some other gyms. Thin and long layout with a large amount of machines. Large quantity of cardio, resistance machines and free weights section. Does have some items not found in other gyms which is useful to see.

Positive experience: Good classes but starting to get a bit tacky. Constant leaks everywhere in gym, upstairs, spin room and main studio. Often with no buckets or signs underneath now. Sauna door in ladies no longer shuts. Shame as good classes and gym but just starting to get a bit behind with the up keep, nothing that can’t be fixed

Positive experience: It's my first week here but first impressions are good. There's lots of equipment and the facilities are modern and clean. There seems to be good classes on too although I can't vouch for that personally. This is a very busy gym and the strength equipment you want to use is often busy, so you may need to be flexible with your planned workouts. The staff seem very nice from first impressions. There's a lot of young faces (I'm old) and groups often converge on a machine, particularly the cable machines, meaning you may never get on it! Great selection of cardio equipment too which is always up for grabs.

Staff are top tier, Emily the assistant manager is lovely and extremely helpful and professional, and Liam the PT and fitness trainer is very knowledgeable and helpful, makes you feel confident enough to do things yourself the right way! I would highly recommend Liam if you're looking to get some help in the gym. The gym itself is stunning, the way JD have used to LED lights and mirrors in all the right places make the gym very aesthetically pleasing and the extensive range of machines AND MANY SQUAT AND DEADLIFT PLATFORMS (which is usually hard to find more than 2 in most gyms) is such a delight. Highly recommend this gym to anyone who is curious, do it!

Positive experience: Would give this 5 stars but they have no heating in the studio and when you are doing pilates/yoga in winter you need heating. It ridiculous that they have to get head office to sort the problem out. It's most probably 1 of the reasons they have lost so many members since it opened as I am seriously considering.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful gym filled with wonderful person trainers(from my own personal experience). I genuinely had a great experience at this gym and the environment was friendly and seems to accept everyone with their own motivation for the gym. All things considered, I appreciate the excellent gym equipment and staff for all they do.

Positive experience: I love this gym! It has nearly every equipment needed in a gym! Staff are very friendly too. Very spacious and I particularly love the lighting. The changing rooms are designed with the gym goer in mind, nice space, useful mirrors with lights and hair dryers as well. The only thing stopping me from giving it five stars is the fact that it’s not 24 hours. Especially now there are many other gyms which cost less a month whilst offering 24 hour gym access.

Fantastic experience: This brand new gym is excellent! Located right next to Sainsbury's with plenty of free parking, this gym has it all. Brand new, loads of equipment and there's some cool things that you probably haven't seen in other gyms, like the quirky mood lighting and the foliage on the walls. I don't think you'll struggle to find equipment to use (see the pictures) and people seem to enjoy the fitness classes, which are included in the cost of membership. I also like the saunas in the changing room! Overall, this is definitely worth the money - have a look around if you're not sure about joining. But I guarantee that you won't regret it!
