Fantastic experience: Great gym I mainly train upper body using the cable machines and the free weights and was so good to see that they had all the equipment I required, also it was nice to see the area was tidy as in some gyms it can be a bit chaotic. I was made to feel very comfortable at the reception by Issy and also took time to show me around which made me feel very comfortable. Hope to come back to use the sauna after a good workout.

Fantastic experience: It was a pretty amazing experience, the staff were completely helpful especially one of the managers Hussein who showed me around the gym and took the time to answer my questions about specific machines and what they are used for. All in all friendly staff, good clean equipment, a great atmosphere as well as a good price. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Positive experience: This gym is conveniently located with fairly good equipment. The real pull is the sauna and steam room that’s great for relaxation after a workout. There are free towels but I wish there were toiletries available like there are at cheaper gyms. All around good though.

Negative experience: The quality of the classes has decreased over time, the management doesn't treat the workers fairly.

Positive experience: Great gym - has a good range of equipment for both the upper and lower body. The changing room is very spacious and clean. The big downside however is the men's sauna. The temperature is never hot - in fact, it not even warm! Really hope it gets fixed soon. Then I can give the gym 5 stars!

Negative experience: This gym has allowed to many memberships so it is far to busy. Only one smith in entire gym, means I have been able to use it once in a few weeks. Friday, the toilets were out of order and there was no warning or apology. Twice I used the toilet and it hasn’t flushed. The towels are thread bare. A towel i had last week was stained. Also the air conditioning is broken, which I have reported. My email has been acknowledged but it has not been fixed.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at Fitness First for almost a year now, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! The gym is fantastic with a wide range of equipment and a great atmosphere. What really sets it apart though are the amazing staff, especially Richelle and Soria. Huge shout out to them – they're the best!

Fantastic experience: A superb gym with super helpful staff. Probably the best most helpful and friendly staff I've come across In a gym. Especially Idris, Alfonso, JJ and Soraya have always been helpful and accommodating in helping me in my fitness journey.

Positive experience: An extensive range of gym and floor equipment available to suit any one. Clean changing rooms and friendly staff. One of the few gyms that you don't need to bring your own padlock. However, location to find the changing rooms was quite confusing. Having clear markers (on the floor) would have made it easier for first time visitors to find. Be aware that the gym is not open over the weekend.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member since January 2023 and it is by far my favourite gym in the city. I have tried the Bishopsgate branch and the (now closed) Spitalfields branch and the Fenchurch Street gym is definitely my favourite amongst them all. Ive never had to switch up my workout plans as there is plenty of equipment. I am also a Sauna junkie and they have the best spa area, including a steam room and places to lounge. The lockers are also great as they are passcoded so no need to carry a padlock around! I'd like to give a special huge thanks to the staff for helping me find my engagement ring when I dropped it in the Sauna in between the slats today They helped immediately and I had it back within 10 minutes. That Sauna works very well so needless to say looking for a tiny ring was comparable to a workout A lesson learned to never lose anything in the Sauna again and to leave the ring in my locker next time!! Thanks again to JJ and Sorai for your help and to Richelle for keeping me calm Cannot recommend this gym enough ✨

Fantastic experience: The customer service is absolutely incredible they go above and beyond every time very polite, friendly and helpful especially staff member Idris but I like all the staff there the steam room is unmatched and unbelievably hot an amazing experience and the gym is just decent but always clean.

Fantastic experience: Haven’t tried the gym but tried a couple of classes - really good. You don’t need to bring your lockers unlike in other clubs. What really elevated my experience is the GM - he was so attentive, so friendly, I felt like I was a special guest. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: An amazing gym, everyone is super friendly and greets you with a smile, especially Idris and Irina at reception ! A good experience from when you enter the gym till when you leave! A big fan of JJ's Sparr class, I have only just started going recently but he is an amazing instructor, helping everyone and pushes you to do your best and try your hardest! PT Ike is also super nice and amazing to work with! Definitely recommend the gym if you work or live near or around Fenchurch street!

Negative experience: The opening times are abysmal. If you live round here (aldgate) then forget it. 9pm it's shut and the weekends it doesn't open at all, third space, pure gym, any within ec3 have better times than this. It's not even like the rate is acceptable if it was a 247 setup... avoid.

Fantastic experience: Fitness First Frenchurch Street London JJ, Idris, Kasia and Richelle. 2023 has been a wonderful year in my regular gym, a massive thanks to the staff at Fitness First Frenchurch Street London, especially the Front of House team, they have worked so hard throughout the year, and shown exceptional levels of Customer Service, professionalism, dedication, leadership skills, throughout, and genuine kindness, empathy, with warmth & being welcoming, the team have been very supportive in my experiences, and made this have a positive impact on my daily routines in my workouts, and achieving my goals, whilst training. I must commend the high levels of interactions, communication always smiling, feeling a warm and welcoming atmosphere, attitude are friendly, positive, easygoing in making my visits enjoyable, pleasant, and memorable. I find that visiting this particular branch in the city a very friendly place to train and relax. Fantastic experience: The Fenchurch Street branch of this diminishing chain has always exceeded expectations. I have been going for 10 years on and off. Fenchurch Street Fitness first has the most helpful friendly team and amazing coaches/PT instructors. My favourite class is FF Core and a super bonus is when Kasia hosts and puts you through your paces, an excellent way to start your day*****

Fantastic experience: Great gym and even better staff. Big shout-out for Idris, greeting everyone with a smile and positive energy and always willing to help which makes coming to the gym much easier. The PTs Juan and Soria are lovely and helpful as well! The gym is kept clean and tidy and has everything you need to reach your specific goals. Sauna and Steam room are spacious. And there is plenty of classes for everyone’s choice.

Fantastic experience: I have been a very happily part of the FF Fenchurch family for almost 6 years. I have been enjoying every single time I have been exercising. The staff is amazing, energetic and always very helpful. Actually I love all members of staff, but especially like Joe’s Bootcamp, Rasheed’s Shred, JJ’s Sparr, Soria’s Hiit, Brian’s spin and Kasia’s splendid Trax and Tom’s impeccably clean locker room. Great gym, amazing facility, classes and equipment also fantastic enviroment and atmosfear that make the workout much more pleasant and last but not least the staff. Fantastic experience: I've been going here many years, the staff are lovely. Brian, Joe, John, Andy and Soria especially. They have a good selection of classes, the Spin, HIIT and Core classes are my faves. I pretty much always get on the equipment I want to use.

Fantastic experience: Frenchurch St FFX is one of my favorite FitnessFirst clubs. It has a great atmosphere, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Idris's SHRED and HIIT classes are particularly enjoyable; he warmly welcomes everyone and makes an effort to learn each person's name, creating a welcoming environment. Idris goes the extra mile, pushing everyone to their limits and offering options suitable for everyone. Not forgetting Alfonso and Soria's classes – they are a must-attend, being friendly and providing both motivation and corrections for the exercise postures, ensuring a great workout experience.

Fantastic experience: Superb gym - best I’ve been to in London in my last 6 years of working in the city. Best value for money out of any surrounding gym. Great facilities and staff are super friendly. Idris is an absolute diamond of a man and always attentive to all clients needs can’t recommend the gym anymore highly to people wanting to join!

Positive experience: Great equipment and facilities, spacious, and not at all overcrowded. But hated the male sauna experience today (6 November 2023, afternoon) because users were chatting away instead of shutting up. Sauna should be quiet and calm. Fitness First needs to address this issue.

Negative experience: Awesome place. Fully equipped gym floor with a huge Sauna and Steam room (they actually have two Saunas). However its way beyond my price range and unfortunately for many others aswell. Its clear what kind of ppl FF are targeting, having closed down all their East London branches and putting all their resources into the city branches. Wealth is King to FF. tThe only time you will see a common man in FF is if he/she is sweeping up the floor.

Fantastic experience: Update: this gym continues to be an enjoyable experience! Really great staff and facilities. A pleasure to go there! Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Has such a friendly vibe, perfect place to push yourself or try something new without feeling silly! The staff are all amazing, front desk are always so helpful, Idris is so welcoming and supportive, Soria was great at teaching me the right exercises during my complimentary PT session and she still checks in on me! I’ll never miss one of Felicia’s classes - such a great trainer, makes us sweat by targeting all the right areas and having a laugh! Each month has different offers such as discounts off major sports retailers, there’s also reward schemes and various promos they put on - this month was bring a friend for free every Wednesday. Great gym, sauna and showers are clean too :)

Negative experience: Hi. Today 25th July Tuesday I've been passive aggressively behaved by one of the Fenchurch London Branch. While me and one more customer was still in changing room and trying to get dry and change our clothes as fast as possible because it was getting 9pm. He turned off the light off and left us in literally in darkness. I changed my rest of clothes in darkness. Then when i asked why did you turned it off there is still people here. Only thing he was keep repeating "its 9pm im getting late" in a proper arrogant and careless way. Yes it was exactly 9pm when we start to argue about it and i was still trying to explaining this is not an appropriate way to behave and extremely passive aggresive he was forcing to not understanding and keep repeating " im getting late you need to be out". Also another his colleague joined him and he literally said "JUST LEAVE!!!" This is totally unacceptable behaviour and terrible aggressive customer service at all. I will never be join this branch again and if i cant get a fair proper response sooner i will cancel my membership too. Thank you

Fantastic experience: The gym layout is really nice with lots of different areas. There is plenty of equipment so you don’t have to wait long for anything. The staff are all really helpful and the classes are great. The changing rooms are modern and clean.

Positive experience: Not a gym member here but came here for a kpop dance class. The studio for dance was great - well-lit, spacious and clean.

Positive experience: Great location and really friendly staff (Felicia and Soria have specifically been very welcoming and helpful)! Facilities are good, Air con could be better, the sauna and steam room area is really poorly ventilated, it can have a slight musty smell at times, most of the equipment is good although, the cross-trainer feels like its quite a basic model when using and the boxing gloves smell really bad. I would prefer to take my own towel when walking in, instead of waiting to be passed one or having to request one from staff in conversation. Emails have been sent way to often and they don't seem to be all that pertinent as I'd already looked through the site and app but being new I didn't want to unsubscribe incase I missed anything that might be of use but, think I will now! The showers feel quite compact and there was no hot water on one of the days last week, which was really disappointing (if this is going to be the case there should be a sign notifying customers of this) All this to say, my experience so far has been good not great, but the points of my feedback are all easy changes to implement so hoping that with these small improvements put in place my experience will improve!

Fantastic experience: Visitor to the area and my hotel did not have a gym, but they have an agreement with this establishment. Lots of equipment (I stuck with a treadmill), super friendly staff, amenities such as towels, showers, lockers, and even afterworkout shakes you can buy.

Positive experience: Gym is nice but they need a designite yoga studio, you can hear all the noise from the gym - you trying to meditate and relax and you have heavy house music playing on the other side the sauna and steam room are perfect

Fantastic experience: From the moment you step into Fitness First Fenchurch Street, you are always greeted by a friendly face and they are always ready to help at reception. There is a good, relaxed atmosphere amongst the members and many have been attending for years. The team of PT's are very knowledgable and encouraging even if you are not their client. As woman, delighted that the changing rooms and toilets are kept incredibly clean thanks the wonderful Sylvie (hope I spelt it correctly). And the dedicated management team of Hussein, Juan and Peter are will go out of their way for their members and staff. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Love the place and the staff! Alfonso, Idris and Sera are super friendly. The vibe is quite friendly and being in the financial district, you meet a lot of like minded people. I’ve been to so many Fitness Firsts but this one by far my favourite, especially because of the spa and steam room ig.

Negative experience: The gym is experiencing an ongoing towel shortage. This has been going on for a number of weeks now and aside from an initial general email, no other email alerts are sent advising customers of the ongoing issue.

Fantastic experience: The cleaning service is ABSOLUTELY GREAT, its spacious and the STAFF are REALLY approachable and supportive. I would recommend this establishment to ANYONE

Negative experience: I wish there was an option for NO STARS!! I cannot believe how unprofessional and profit hungry Fitness First is! I had tried out their free month to see if it was something I wanted, instead I was bound to it & the only way I could leave was by paying the “remainder” or a quick lump sum to leave immediately. Not at any point was I told or made aware via the email advertised to me, not any form of T&C had said I was in for a “12 month contract”. I am unemployed as of then and now, so it would be ridiculous for me to pick such a choice. I had gotten in contact with the services team, and nothing but rude and there to make profit even despite me explaining my situation, which the T&Cs I had accepted to had stated that it is reasonable to cancel if you lose your job and cannot financially do so. I have had to go into debt because of this money making corrupt firm! I really hope they are pleased with themselves!!! All this profit they eat up, I really hope it comes out the other end! What goes around comes around. I’ve had to go into debt to stop these imposed fees that I had a)no control over b)no say in c)not a single decent conversation with any member of staff I had spoken to. I cannot see FF having a future if they are behaving like this!! It is all ok for rich people with money in their back pocket to rinse them, but the average individual is trapped. This gym is run by elitists & remains for the elitists!!!

Fantastic experience: Good sized gym. Never too busy. 2 saunas and a very effective steam room. Just not open weekends which is a shame

Positive experience: Great PTs and decent equipment but tarnished by somewhat run-down gym facilities and appalling customer service. Front desk staff could be a lot more tactful when dealing with customers, including the branch manager Nikos. By virtue of its location, the club is normally packed around lunchtime and outside of office hours.

Fantastic experience: A brilliant gym with amazing staff! Most of the time there is no waiting for equipment you need, and the facilities themselves are first class. Worth every penny, even more so considering the price value compared to other gyms in the location

Fantastic experience: Incredible space, so well kept and the most excellent customer service you could possibly want. I go out of my way to visit this particular gym! Shoutout to Managers/Adam for always being so knowledge and available whenever you need them.

Negative experience: In all my years going to fitness first, this had to be the WORST branch I have ever been. It was my first time going to this branch gym and was already running late for a class when I arrived I mentioned i had issues finding the gym and was late for a class. I did mention this and found the behaviour of the staff IDRIS to be appalling. He went to report me to ADAM who proceeded to interrupt my workout class on the gym floor as I was practically holding a doing sit-up pose to tell me off like a child ‘NEVER to take two towels I had to ask’. After my class I mentioned to him I found his behaviour abit intimidating and aggressive and he could’ve waited till my class ended to inform me of the towel and he proceeded to accuse me of being ‘rude’ to a member of staff. After this he started following me around machine to machine trying to intimidate me and standing very close to my personal space i had to keep stepping back. I had to tell him I’d like to continue my workout but he kept charging towards me to intimidate me. He only backed off after I mentioned I would be making a complaint based on his aggressive behaviour. Someone who had spent 20min in the cold looking for your facility and practically out of breath when they arrived will appear ‘abrupt’ which was what I was accused of. When I got into the changing room I did ask a lady to help with the lockers and she said nothing so I thought she was deaf I was also accused of ‘having an altercation’ despite no words being spoken by this person. You cannot have ‘an altercation’ when no words were spoken. When I was leaving both ADAM & IDRIS proceeded to GANG UP on me and abuse me thereby making a scene I’m pretty sure other members felt uncomfortable by this scene. Many even asked if i was ok as they could see i was being bullied. Front staff should be kind, welcoming and understanding, unfortunately that was not my experience at this branch. This left me feeling very anxious and upset I will never set my foot in this club and would advise others to avoid this gym at all cost due to the despicable behaviour of the front staff. Definitely an egotistical power trip going on there. All in all 2 MALES bullying and ganging up on a female just speaks for itself. First & last time too. You pay a lot of money just to be disrespected and abused. *****Avoid*****

Fantastic experience: Fantastic friendly efficient team led by manager Nikos with excellent facilities and location . I have 2x PT sessions each week with the amazing Yari Greco. He provides superb inspiration , accountability , support , nutrition plan and motivation. It’s been a life changer in reaching my full potential !

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym! Researching gyms for move to London and Adam was such a great help! The gym it self is really good. All the equipment you need but most importantly a Spin studio. Loved the lighting in the class. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. And to top it off a really nice steam and sauna area.
