Negative experience: Cleanliness is a concern, floors are so dirty in the studio and functional area. Female shower drainage is not working atm flooding the cubicles, please can you fix this asap. The worst part is the constant interference of male cleaners/staff coming into the female changing room, like literally two to three times within a period of half an hour or so, making it very very uncomfortable. You would think after a workout you’d want some peace and quiet in the shower but no it’s constant stress!

Fantastic experience: Does exactly what it says on the tin. Gym is clean, cheap, friendly. Weights are heavy (and light) and usually plenty of them.

Positive experience: men who make noise weight training it's not a nice thing to hear. If they can't do the weight they should do a lower weight it is intimidating

Fantastic experience: Open 24/7 loads of equipment only downside people stand outside smoking weed at night police need to do a few more stop and searches

Negative experience: been going for just over 2 years and was a very good gym for the first year but ever since has gone down hill. aircon doesn't work what so ever and when it's busy you can imagine how hot and stuffy it is, the the vending machine does not keep the drinks cold and every drink i have brought has been luke warm. Also most of the lockers upstairs in the changing rooms (males) don't work. also as the air con is broke there is a few leaks meaning there are a few buckets placed around however by one of the buckets the floor is totally soaked. wouldn't recommend going anytime between 5-8 due to how busy it gets (120 people+). however most people are friendly and welcoming and most equipment is good just missing a few machines but nothing major.

Fantastic experience: just use a lock on the lockers if anything goes missing it's up to you to chase up a theft management don't want to know until you involve the police

Positive experience: Lots of machines available, clean, studio can be used if you prefer quiet work areas without the machines. Lots of free weights. It gets very busy during peak times and can be quite a lot if you’re new.

Positive experience: Good gym, but you get alot of misuse of the equipment, not much of a healthy living atmosphere here compared to somewhere like nuffield. However you get what you pay for.

Positive experience: It’s a good gym it opens 24 hours it’s good classes and freindly staff weight areas and treadmills but it’s all on 1 floor which is a downfall but I like it

Negative experience: Have been going since 2016, unfortunately last five attempts at visiting I have been unable to use any machines due to it being too busy in store and broken equipment I have cancelled my direct debit and will not be coming back. Bye. (It shows my loyalty as a customer for years is not returned by them not actually capping a limit for a crowded gym) a classic example of profit and greed as most things lately

Fantastic experience: Great refit. They've really upped their game including plenty of squat racks and cable machines which were lacking in the previous configuration.

Positive experience: I really like this gym, it has a friendly atmosphere, a good range of kit and the staff are absolutely awesome! I’d give five stars but please fix the Air conditioning and leaks! The heat is horrific and there’s barely a spot you can work out at without getting dripped on from the plumbing! But otherwise really great gym for a very good cost

Negative experience: Used to give 5 /5 since I've been with puregym for yearssss.... but this last month I'm afraid cleanliness has been appalling. Thick dust on the treadmills and the corner where the Mat's are (across from the treadmills) have had thick dust bunnies in the corner gathered up, and this light brown/yellow... shards of wood or nuts, I dont know, has been there for over a week, that to me means the floor has not been hoovered or mopped for over a week.... I used to see the cleaner daily at 5am... I can only assume you've lost your cleaner and havent rehired?

Fantastic experience: The best gym i've been to! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Theres a wide range of equipment, and it is well looked after. The atmosphere in there is good too, I feel that everyone is friendly and all are welcome.

Positive experience: Came here for the first time early morn about 7am. The gym is fairly spaced out and clean. The slight downsides are the lockers are very poor, take abit of skill to get to work due to old age and be careful as the edges can be sharp of getting a tight bag in. When I went is appeared that marvels hulk had tried to take a shower as the door was ripped off and smashed, so could not show which was a shame. But overall gym use was nice and easy and good space for a budget brand gym. As someone else pointed out the hot water does come out too hot from the taps,l so I cannot imagine a shower. This need to be looked at .

Positive experience: Decent facilities but can see all the other puregym clubs getting upgraded and refitted with a new look, layout and equipment. Wish this club would get the same treatment.

Negative experience: I'm not pleased with this pure gym to be honest, they don't have a leg press machine and that's just one of the many they lack. The showers are so hot please consider turning them down to a more acceptable temperature. The water out of the machine is walm. The staff are lovely. The lockers are in need of a urgent upgrade they are all really difficult to lock or turn the mechanism. If they improved those things this would be a 5 star gym.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Pure Gym properly since January, before this point i didnt have q lot of confidence in the gym, or with fitness. Prior to this my mom and dad passed away in 2020, which was really hard, i got stuck in a bubble, where I had a bad relationship with food and my body, i hated what i was becoming. The classes have really helped with my mental health aswell as fitness. I feel a much happier active person not just for me but for my kids. I started off with LBT with Maria which I am still sticking with, she is amazing and always has a smile on her face. I have recently took up spin too to add cardio into the mix, I go to Ant and Marias classes for those too and they both push you to where you need to be, and the motivation they give you through there classes are second to none. So glad I joined, and i can't see myself going back.

Fantastic experience: Good gym, clean both the gym and and changing rooms/showers.. not too busy during lunch time at least on a Tuesday and Thursday, enough machine and weights to exercise all parts of your body, cannot talk about the classes cause I haven't done any so far..overall big ...you guys got an happy customer

Negative experience: Poor placement of sqaut racks, showing the amateur knowledge of puregym! Unable to use mirrors when sqauting to check proper alignment and execution increases risk of injury, especially to novices and makes it hard to highlight proper technique to customers when personal training. NOT GOOD PUREPOOR DECISION. Funnily enough the cluster manager informed me of the planned change to equipment placement. I immediately informed him of the lack of foresight with the changes proposed. He agreed with my reasoning and forethought but 2 weeks later still went ahead!!! May I ask is this actually the owner responding?

Positive experience: Good place to work out especially as I like to do it alone still a few members not cleaning equipment down after using
Negative experience: Found the place to be very very dirty !!!!.... would of thought they would of put more effort into cleaning ,especially with covid 19

Positive experience: Could offer more variety of equipment but it's an ok gym if you go early enough. Staff seem ok and the people that use the gym also seem friendly enough.

Negative experience: After COVID everything was moved around pretty badly... the dumbells that are probably most commonly used by customers (6KG-20KG) have been moved OUTSIDE of the weights area, and to a plyometrics area where there are only TWO benches. I get that there isn't enough room due to social distancing but surely it would have been wiser to move the least used weights instead (40-50KG). Other than that, it's pretty standard, and I think I have seen a few machines added recently which is good.

Fantastic experience: Returned to pure gym following it reopening Lots of cleaning and sanitizer stations. Felt very safe I gym . Tried the burn it class Sunday. Great class run by James. Would recommend to family and friends

Positive experience: Depending on your workout and what you're looking to achieve certain times are definitely a lot better for your fitness needs. Otherwise it's an easily accessible gym with most equipment that you'd expect from a pure gym. Classes are good and members of staff have been found to be very helpful when asked questions.

Positive experience: Gym is well led by Alec and mark who always take time to ensure everything is ok. PTs are friendly and extremely knowledgeable Especially chris, who I have been having pt sessions with now for 9 months he constantly pushes me so I get the best out of the session and this has helped me see amazing results. classes are great and chris Wright's spin class is a must, challenging, hard,fun and a great cardio workout.

Temperatures and air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Positive experience: Can get very busy during peak hours, it can make getting on equipment difficult around these times. Gym is fairly large however and has a good selection of equipment that are well maintained.
