Positive experience: The climbing wall is like a sauna. Dress appropriately

Fantastic experience: The Blood bank comes periodically to this modern sports centre. Give blood if you can it’s an essential service.

Positive experience: Could do with adding a cafe but other facilities are good

Fantastic experience: Great place to go. I use the gym most days. The equipment is adequate and the gym, when I go, is relatively quite and that is usually between 10am and 12pm. The pool is a great size too.

Negative experience: Main swimming pool cold. Kids swimming pool even colder. Showers barely warm and stay on for about 1 second, 2 seconds if you get lucky. What can anyone achieve in 2 seconds when I’m trying to help my children? Changing area look like it might have been cleaned earlier this month. Predictably disappointing like every council pool we’ve visited recently but this one has been the worst. Should’ve gone to Berwick to instead. Holiday activity ruined.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous leisure facilities. Spotlessly clean and really friendly staff. The pools were a fantastic size.

Fantastic experience: I came here for the first time today. Aaron on the front desk was friendly and very helpful, sorted me with a week pass instead of me trying to pay for a few separate days, which worked out cheaper. The facilities in the gym are modern and there's an extensive array of machines, free weights and other bits you need. It's not as large as some other gyms, but for 10am on a Thursday it was quiet, the pool classes looked a lot busier. There's locker rooms with a communal shower, toilets attached but with a door separating them, and all the facilities are pretty well kept. There are also a lot of cleaning facilities for the machines and benches too, spray bottles and blue roll, it's nice to see that as most gyms these days cut those out as soon as Covid restrictions were lifted. I will use this gym whenever in the area.

Fantastic experience: Our kids used the bouldering wall. It is a great space. The staff at the centre were all really welcoming and helpful.

Negative experience: Tried to book for my autistic daughter and I but now about to give up after online registration refused to recognize several valid emails addresses I provided. Now been gnging on phone for near half an hour listening to an extremely annoying jingle. Willowburn Sports and Leisure needs to get it's act together. Very poor customer service

Fantastic experience: Inexpensive soft play which my children loved (ages 6, 5 and 2). Lovely service and a nice pool too. Great for a rainy day.

Negative experience: a waste of money, how can I sign up for classes if the account is blocked more than thay said due to the fact that I didn’t go but I went but didn’t registered, they didn’t even warn us any one time! I've been trying to call support for an hour and no one has answered. never sign a contract with them, the service is just awful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Everything in this leisure centre is great. Every detail about the gym, swimming pool and soft play is great and hygienic. The whole family can enjoy themselves in the swimming pool due to the sloped floor in the deeper pool making it easier for any height to enjoy the pool and they also had a kids pool which was slightly warmer and was given a glowing report from everybody in the family. 10/10. Local and easy access.

Fantastic experience: New Management..Nice gym. Has swimming pools for kids & adults, weight rooms, aerobic machines, building walls, and a fun playroom for the kids. Very affordable prices and friendly staff. Great prices for annual membership. Extended for another year ! New Management coming on board in a couple weeks. Large company - may see some great new changes . Looking forward to it! Now that they are here, new signage and some of the weight machines have been fixed and repairs done in the bathroom. Replaced soap dispensers and toilet paper dispensers as well.

Positive experience: This is still a good pool, clean, friendly and well run.. However the recent change of 'ownership' to Active Northumberland has resulted in a significant price hike.. and removal of the pensioner discounts for swimming.. The prices are not listed on the website.. probably because they recognise that £5.00 is quite steep for a swim! Even with the £12 p.a. Active card the price is still £3.70..

Negative experience: Dis organised shambles run by kids

Fantastic experience: Used the charger and topped up the leaf for 15 mins ,could do with a few more but that's a country wide issue at the moment.

Positive experience: The staff are friendly and helpful, and the facilities we use are good. The computer system/booking system may need an update as we have encountered errors when booking sessions.

Negative experience: Lovely centre but you never know.,what is going on there! Arrived today for a swim to discover only half the pool was available no good if you are trying to swim lengths. About time the council got rid of the useless Active Northumberland and replaced it with someone who knows what they are doing .

Negative experience: Got rid of lat pull down and replaced it with technogym equipment. Big downgrade

Positive experience: We are staying in the area on holiday and saw in our information book swimming was free for us (due to holidaying at Percywood leisure ) so a wee bonus We called ahead just to double check as advised & to see about availability. On arrival the lady at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. I provided proof of lodge break on my mobile , she took some details. The pool was sectioned off due on going school swimming lessons. So we had use of around a quarter of the big pool. (This was thankfully ok, as just us and 5 others) The changing rooms were communal and pleased to see a good few family cubicles.

Positive experience: A modern, clean and tidy sports centre with a range of facilities. The pool is clean and well looked after with plenty of staff on hand to help out should you need it. Changing rooms are also clean and well kept with plenty of lockers for your valuables. Reception staff are very friendly and welcoming, ready to help out wherever they can. A lovely spot for the family and to keep the kids entertained in a healthy way.

Fantastic experience: My family and I lived in the area for about 8 months and we spent tons of time here. The prices can't be beat and there's tons to do! My son played badminton, went to sport camps, joined the bouldering group, swam and attended roller disco. He loved every bit of it, and every person we met there was incredibly nice and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: Very well run with distancing protocols smooth and not spoiling using facility. Really quick to have a process in place and get swimming up and running every time they could reopen. Membership deal is excellent if you go on average twice a week it really cost in.

Fantastic experience: Very nice pool at a reasonable price with good changing rooms. It's nice to have a dry floor. It's good to see the schools making good use of this facility. We enjoyed seeing the children having fun, the highlight of the week for some of them!

Positive experience: Very clean pool. You have to take your shoes off on entry to pool area. It has an adjustable depth at the end of the pool. Attended by life guards at all times. Floats for kids to use. Great pool for training

Fantastic experience: Looking for somewhere in alnwick to tend to a disabled child's bathroom and feeding needs I approached the guy at the desk (colin) to see if there was some way he could help me out. He was extremely understanding and considerate and promptly helped me to the first aid bay where I could tend to my child in a safe and clean environment. Thank you very much......

Positive experience: We use this facility mainly for swimming with my young sons. The staff are friendly and pricing isn't too bad. With an electric vehicle charging point outside as a bonus this is one of my favourite places to spend time with my family. The pool is always clean and there are lots of lockers and changing rooms plus well stocked vending machines to treat the boys afterwards

Negative experience: Member of Staff very rude and disrespectful I went to a swim session and was in the shower when a member of staff went on the pick up a friends goggles and throw them at the ground, I confronted him about this and Told me to ‘grow up and if I have and issue complain to the receptionist’ after this I went to get changed as I was doing so I felt water over my head as he squirted me with a hose as I was dressed my clothes got wet and I went out side to complain to him he denied doing this and told me to leave I will not be coming back and yet to know what his problem is, VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL

Fantastic experience: Staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful.... and enthusiastic. Classes are well planned, supportive, stretch and challenge as well as embracing beginners and those a little less confident. Staff listen to your comments and suggestions and always try to accommodate where possible. A great place to be for the feel good factor. Thank you staff for all your hard work.

Fantastic experience: Come here for my daughter's gymnastics. They have a wide range of different classes, a gym and a swimming pool. The staff are helpful and friendly and the place is clean with ample parking

Fantastic experience: Used a variety of services at willowburn over the past 15 years. Gym, swim, fitness classes, classes for kids. Staff are great. Centre is clean. I wish the pool was more child friendly. Its quite a travel from Alnwick to find a pool with slides or wave machine
