Fantastic experience: A cozy and cool gym with an array of equipment. Great ambience too

Negative experience: all of the staff including a member of your team named Darren were very unpleasant and unhelpful as i am a newcomer to the gym, walking into the gym i felt intimidated by darren while he stared me down as i walked in, he then aproached me and told me im skinny and told me to leave and never come back, awful experience

Positive experience: Exhausted!!

Negative experience: Ok gym, most staff are alright and friendly except for one who kicked me off the equipment and swore at me just because he had a session with someone and said to me if you don’t like my gym you can piss off somewhere else. Also said I was taking too long when I spent a total of 10minutes and approached me in an aggressive manner and when I said to him calm down he walked up and said to my face don’t tell me to calm down

Positive experience: Great place to workout. I like their classes, HIIT and boxing in particular. Trainers are great. Place could use a full time cleaner but as I saw they only have a cleaner a few hours... maximum 2 and it is insane to clean such a big space in that time. Guess they think that they can cut costs like that.Other than this, great place to workout.

Positive experience: It's OK.. But only just. I was offered an induction, where I was told to ask my gym partner where things are and was offered a "kick start" session as a more appropriate option. Attended the kick start session only to basically be given a quick induction.... I.e here is the cardio machines, here are the free weights etc. I don't think they know their product particularly well. There's a few people working reception who are extremely un-enthisiastic. Slouched, glued to phones, everything is too much trouble. The gym itself is a bit grubby, a bit tired, theres often no soap in the toilets. It absolutely smacks of the kind of business people buy at a franchise expo when they have some money to invest but don't have an interest in the product. The saving grace is it's often absolutely dead. The times I attend there is commonly only 5 or 6 people inside and they are of varying age and fitness which makes it Un-intimidating.

Positive experience: Prices a little high as you're got to sign up for 12 months plus, friendly when showings myself around, but no open 24 hours.

Positive experience: Found the equipment to be old, the matting is old and broken, especially by squat racks/weight area making underfoot uneven which isn’t ideal at all! I must say the staff were friendly and helpful. Once énergie have your email that’s it. I cannot count how many times I’ve asked them to remove my email from their mailing list, filled out their form, contacted the gym but I’m still getting emails almost daily about different offers, I do not want them!! Moved to a different gym in Stanway, which has newer equipment, feels less crowded and listens to members.

Positive experience: This is a nice gym and as a woman i never had any issues here, i only left due to poor health reasons of myself, still recommend

Fantastic experience: So, I'm a fat, middle aged, socially awkward, swamp witch of a human being who tends to avoid humans wherever possible. As I'm sure you can imagine, heading to the gym wasn't something I was looking forward to. Since joining I've been consistently impressed. The staff are super friendly and non judgemental. The facilities are great and they clearly take pride in keeping the place Spotless. Great gym! Really glad I took the plunge.

Negative experience: The worst gym I've ever known. Delivered unsolicited junk mail through my door despite clear signage this was not welcome. Costs you a 1 star review due to lack of respect for privacy.

Negative experience: The facilities are fine but organisation was a huge issue. When we turned up for our inductions, which we booked in person, we found they hadn’t been booked in. No alternative dates were offered. Later, one of our group had their membership cancelled without warning, and was asked to sign up again for more than twice what they had previously been paying. Furthermore, we were originally informed that we could bring guests for free, but when we tried to actually do this, we were told it was additional £5.

Fantastic experience: Nice and simple gym with very helpful staff who even helped make a bespoke membership plan as I am only in town for 10 days visiting my parents

Fantastic experience: Very impressed. Now in my 70's , I decided to get fit again and had 2nd Induction from Gary the manager this morning. Patiently he went through 5 machines he felt I needed in order to get fit for a man of my age. Each machine is cleaned by the member after its use where your hands have been. Very impressed and intend to go twice/ three times a week. Big plus was there were quite a few senior citizens there as well as younger groups.

Fantastic experience: Joined Energies this week. Reduced monthly fee for the 1st three months then a very reasonable monthly rate. Very friendly staff who showed me around and explained in great detail whats on offer and the two types of membership. A very friendly and knowlegable personal trainer who is there 2 help and advise if required. My first three daily visits on a row and feeling positive about the future. Negative experience: The gym itself and the staff where friendly at the time of use I have no complaints about that, however upon thinking my membership was cancelled I got what I thought was a retainer call which quickly turned to due payments and potential charges for not paying. Not a great way to retain members As I told your team I chose not to keep my membership because you are more expensive than Pure Gym and your classes have an additional cost on top of your already more expensive membership Further more I work In London and travel so have the use of 271 across gyms across the UK with classes all for less than your rolling monthly fee, may be worth reviewing?

Fantastic experience: 5***** and why not?! I’ve been to ALOT of gyms and this bar far is the BEST gym I’ve been too. I don’t sit outside in the car change my mind and go home. The customer service via staff is wonderful, they are so friendly and accommodating, always willing to go extra mile. The members are lovely and the vibe is great, members are friendly, clientele is a good mix of diverse and eclectic range and the age group varies anywhere from young adolescent to an older age range, and where possible everyone is willing to help each other and cheer each other on. Classes are hit and miss however not down to the gym mainly external instructor change overs. But that’s to be expected. Under new management and she is friendly and hands on - speaks to members as much as the staff on the floor and always makes a point of greeting or talking to members! Great PTs as friendly as the members and the staff - They also all have extensive knowledge base and willing to help or advise members! Don’t be daunted by the idea of going to a gym - not every gym ticks all the boxes, however this one is worth the membership and will surprise you given the chance!

Fantastic experience: Good Gym. Clean, Friendly Staff, and best of all its not over subscribed like most gyms so there is never a long wait for equipment. Has a Large CV area. Smith Machine, large number of free weights and stacks. Also a desent crossfit rig in the centre. Also has a Studio running regular classes and PTs. Very, Very good value for money!!!

It is well laid out, has everything required to meet your requirements and better than that: everyone is friendly and willing to talk to you even if they don't know you. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and will take the time to demonstrate anything that you may be unsure of - BEST VALUE around town.
