Negative experience: Staff are friendly and welcoming. Gym has limited choice and at peak times you are waiting for children to finish using the equipment. This gym attracts a lot of young lads. The gym is OK for general fitness but lacks options for the more serious trainers. Might be better off at Pure Gym (at half the cost) or Anytime Fitness at the same price, and is 24 hours, whereas RLC isn't open bank holidays or early mornings

Negative experience: I'm a elderly person with a disability and need a hoist to enter the pool . I went to the disability swim for the first time . I found the pool set up was not appropriate for my self and others with a disability, the hoist was available but no screen to shield me from the general public totally overlooking me whilst I removed my prosthetic leg and was hoisted me into the pool , although the staff did their best I found it embarrassing. In general the total set up ment people with a disability was pushed to the far side of the pool whilst able bodied swimming was right by the changing rooms and toilet facilities. I BELIEVED THIS WAS A DISABLED SWIM

Positive experience: Visit on a Thursday for the disability swim session. Staff are always excellent, friendly & helpful & engage with the kids. Disabled change could be better (no hoist or large changing bed) but having done several other local centres we prefer this one mainly due to the attitude & engagement from the staff, from reception to the lifeguards.

Negative experience: Very disappointed in this place. Rude staff especially when they realise that you are not english they treat you with disrespect.

Fantastic experience: Outdoor all weather football pitches are top class. The leisure centre is well used and clean and tidy.

Positive experience: Good leisure centre with swimming pool, squash courts, gym, hall, out door 5g football pitch, park and smaller rooms to rent out for classes. This is not a private own leisure centre and is run by the council so do expect it to be a high tech gym. But it is good value for money and it's not that pricey for classes etc. Downside is it could do with a revamp as it looks a bit worn and tired in places. On a positive the swim classes for kids are very good and they have some great instructors.

Positive experience: Ok... It's a nice enough place but it's a nightmare in the changing rooms cos people block them by leaving their stuff in there. Sometimes there's a horrible smell in the changing rooms and the coffee machine is always out of order. Parking is good tho and the staff are nice.

Fantastic experience: The staff are very helpful and welcoming, the gym has a nice atmosphere to it and the pool area is good if you want to learn to swim for yourself or your child. The only flaw that I see is that the gym area doesn't have as much variety for the weights section however the other machines that are located elsewhere do make up for this

Positive experience: Use the 3G pitches here as does our whole club which is 16 teams. No complaints apart from the dividing net needs some anchor points for windy days

Positive experience: Facilities are good, however it is looking a bit untidy and needs the grass cutting and the external area tidying up, and the changing rooms are not really that clean and smell a lot of the time

Positive experience: The pool has been out of action for years, both squash courts have been out of action for months and something breaks in the gym almost on a weekly basis. Great when it all works.

Negative experience: Far too expensive and not competitive with any other gyms in the area at all, there is no cancel anytime subscription model unlike most gyms these days, it's a 12 month contract that you cannot cancel without a hefty fee and if you fall behind on a single payment you are transferred to a debt agency and charged yet another hefty reccuring fee of £15 also effecting your credit score massively. This is a gym not a contract on the latest IPhone... A 12 month contract is not necessary in the slightest, keeping fit and healthy is your life choice to make or not to make at anytime, it's not something you should feel bullied into doing through a contract, it's an individuals life choice. Also If you are a family person working a 9 till 5 the chances of you even going are slim as the latest you can book is 7pm and the weekends they're only open until 1pm. Most gyms in the area are 24/7. The gym itself is okay the machines and weights are decent and the use of techogym is good but it is inaquidet for anymore than 10 people in there, you will be waiting around or stuck on the same thing for most of your workout. Overall very much below satisfactory experience compared to other gyms such as anytime fitness which is 5 minutes away in town.

Positive experience: Booking the badminton court wasn't too tricky, but there is seemingly no way to book a table tennis session: calling the centre goes to a centralised location where you cannot book table tennis and asking at the desk showed that the staff at the leisure centre don't know how to book or if it even can be booked. How can one book a table tennis session?

Positive experience: The staff innthe gym are not pro-active . As a lifelong user of gyms who was instructed long before somebody invented qualifications, i often see clients doing things that will cause them long term harm. The staff's remit is to pass by and say nothing. Most gym staff to day are very qualified to teach a variety of aerobic classes and the staff here are no exception. As for teaching proper use of equipment for strength training , my 50 years of such training study and experience allows me to spot glaring faults which i have now stopped pointing out as such observations are not welcome. The swimming pool has a very good appeal to all with 2 lanes set out on occasion as publicised in the oft changed schedule. I have been surprised on occasion with not being able to swim as the notification of an impending gala day laked clarity or sometimes lacked notification. The car park is designed well and is award winning.. It has a one way system. The centre hosts large outside groups througuout the year for events where the group will have hired a part of the facilities. The centre has failed to maintain proper signage of the one way system for years now and collisions have so far been avoided for the entrance and exit lanes on both sides of the car park are narrow and only designed for one way traffic. Informing the staff about this reoccurring problem over the years has been ignored. In the event of an accident , pleaee contact me . I will support your case

Positive experience: Very clean cubicles and waiting area with friendly staff they offer swimming lessons for all ages or if you just want to have a little bit of fun just swimming around you can. There is always a lifeguard present and is a very safe and friendly environment.
