West Craven Sports Centre

Negative experience: Pool was nice and warm,but the air conditioning was very cold, spoilt the all swimming experience. Plus the changing room floors were dirty. The cafe was out of most food.

Positive experience: We just go to use the pools. It's ok. Does what it says on the tin. There is a really cold flow of air that runs through the changing rooms which is not ideal for the babies using the small pool. The showers are a bit rubbish too. The small pool recently got renovated and is good now. Looks a lot nicer in there now. The rest of the changing facilities just need doing now too.

Positive experience: Nice leisure centre, good facilities. Could do with an update in some areas.

Negative experience: This was the first time I'd ever been and it will be the last.The sports hall was absolutely freezing. We played pickleball with our jackets on! Won't be going again.

Positive experience: Very handy, has what I need only issue , which gym ever closes at 3pm on a weekend? This one does , prime time and it's closed!

Fantastic experience: Lovely warm learning pool, staff are always happy and polite and cafe is great, we enjoy our weekly trips. However, what a shame that the showers only run for about 30 seconds at a time (less if more showers are being used) and it's absolutely freezing until you are dried and dressed

Fantastic experience: I went to see one of the physio team with a bad neck , I was quite worried about it, they did me some physio & explained what it was, I now go twice a month for a massage, feeling alot better .

Positive experience: I went for the first time today with my 3 month old, we had a booking for the baby pool (it was a little bit too cold.. a few of the other mums thought the same.. apparently its not always that cold??) but the staff where very friendly and helpful and the cafe is lovely

Positive experience: Staff are so friendly and are willing to give you so much information. My son now does swimming lessons there and they are fab value for money. Not only are they cheaper than I have previously gone to but a parent gets 10 free swims with the child as well so we get an extra days swimming for nothing

Fantastic experience: Love the Pilates and Aquarhythmics on Monday. Helen Bolton is a brilliant trainer, always keeping it fresh and interesting, her classes are fantastic and always busy. Thanks Helen for all your hard work Fitsteps on Friday is another brilliant class run by Imogen, a lovely bubbly young woman who puts us through our paces and the music is brilliant too. Another busy class loved by everyone who attends. Zumba on Friday run by Sharon is another not to be missed class, not too strenuous and great fun. A brilliant way to keep fit. The lovely reception staff go out of their way to be helpful, always cheerful and friendly. I recommend West Craven Leisure Centre to everyone who wants to get fit or keep fit. A really friendly place.

Fantastic experience: I attend three classes each week taught by Jo Giray. Her sessions are always well planned and varied. She differentiates well and plans for clients who are new to her classes .The pace and challenge of the sessions is second to none.

Positive experience: Tai Chi in sports hall felt well managed and safe. Marked out areas socially distanced. Exit through fire exit. No physical contact, no need to hand in membership card. Would recommend as a safe zone.

Positive experience: I have only used the swimming facilities here. The staff are friendly on reception and the life guards manage the pool well without been too draconian. The facilities are kept clean. Due to lessons you can't always use the small pool. If you need to use this I would recommend checking the website. Currently there is no cafe facilities although there are the usual vending machines for hot and cold drinks and snacks.
