Negative experience: Just returned from an overnight spa break at the Ana Spa in Winchester. They emailed 7 mins before arrival to let us know that they would not be able to offer what we booked as they were short staffed. This was annoying as we had booked an experience to share and ended up spending the time on our own whilst the other one had their treatment. What was shocking was the way this was handled. It's nor great to let the client know 7 mins before arriving. No drinks or anything was offered to make it slightly better at the time and not a single person spoke to us the whole time. Complained to spa ' manager'who has zero customer service skills. Tried to call spa seekers on the day. Phone just rang out 3 times. Emailed and no acknowledgement. Called the following day and was asked to email the complaints department. If you need a department dedicated to complaints there is an issue!! Dealt with Emily who was dreadful. Still no resolution to our problem and no assistance. Be very wary of booking with this company.

Fantastic experience: Really lovely little spa with good staff. The sauna, steam room and hot tub area is quite small, good for a small group of people but could be crowded with more than 10 visitors But still very worth the trip. We had a massage, facial and afternoon tea and would definitely go back again!

Fantastic experience: Stayed for 2 nights and had 2 treatments each. Very relaxing, the spa is quite small but never crowded. Sauna, steam room, foot spas, tropical shower thing and a jacuzzi pool. This is our 2nd visit here and will definitely come again. Thank you for the relaxing weekend
Positive experience: The spa would be better if there was a full size swimming pool... Lunch was good, though had to wait a long time as order didn't come on time. Treatment was lovely.
Negative experience: Very small (intimate) spa. Nice atmosphere and modern facilities but the hydrotherapy pool was too chlorinated! We couldn’t stay in as we felt our eyes stinging from the air. It also seemed very foamy which was unusual! Such a shame as there were limited other things to do.
Positive experience: This is a very small spa inthe basement of the holiday inn, there are about 6 loungers, one small pool with jets plus sauna steam and tropical shower. The lunch was lovely but the spa, changing area and treatment rooms were far too cold. My treatment was good but the temperature was off-putting. Overall I wouldn't return here, there are far better bigger spas out there in this price range with a more luxury feel and better facilities.
Fantastic experience: Amazing Spa Afternoon experience with my husband today at Ana Spa. Facilities were fabulous, afternoon tea was delicious, really friendly staff and the most amazing Rituals Treatments provided by both Imogen and Amelia. Far surpassed our expectations and we left feeling truly pampered. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you.
Positive experience: Went for the twilight experience including rasul package as a couple. Tried the foot spa but one of them didn't work. The sauna was great. The multi-function shower was ok. The steam room was good apart from the hot water dripping from the ceiling. The pool was small and could have been warmer. Lockers in the changing rooms had keypads which is a great idea. We had to wait 30 mins for the rasul experience because of issues with the mud machine. I expected the mud to go hard but we were sat in a steam room so it got wetter. Good value at £35.
Fantastic experience: A beautiful and modern spa with various facilities. Couldn’t fault the facilities, loved the Sauna being glass, and the foot jacuzzis with hot back plates was divine! Myself and friend went on a busy Saturday (there were several groups of ladies, 3-4 in each group) but there was still just about enough space. Possibly could remove the wooden chairs/end tables and fit in another 1-2 loungers ? The cleanest and most modern and best spa I’ve been to. It was our first time visiting and will definitely be back. Huge thanks and shoutout to Imogen who was not only manning the reception desk and incoming telephone calls, she was also managing all the afternoon teas / lunches, serving/waitressing, doing all the show around / introductions of the spa facilities, and she was keeping the spa nice and clean, hats off to her, a real asset to your business! Despite single-handedly running the place, she didn’t appear flustered at all, and nothing was too much trouble, she was very friendly, professional and approachable. We also had an afternoon tea which was SCRUMPTIOUS, again, best we’ve had, the cakes you often find in these things are funny little macaron or unappetising tarts with odd flavours, but this one had delicious variety of cakes! Incl coffee, lemon and carrot, oh and a brownie! Faultless. A lovely added bonus they had a beautiful area all laid out and reserved for us ready for eating, and it was within the spa, so it was lovely to sit in your robes & slippers, very relaxing. I feel every detail has really been though about with the design and service of this spa. My massage unfortunately was far too soft, despite confirming beforehand for ‘medium/firm’ pressure, and asking during for her to be firmer. However my friend who also asked for ‘medium/firm’ said her therapist was perfect and got all the knots out and really worked her back well, so perhaps I just got unlucky or my therapist was having an off day. It was still lovely but felt like stroking, not what I was looking forward to and hoping for at all. However, everything else about our experience and the spa itself really was superb, incredible value for money (minus my treatment). Even from parking and the friendly welcome at reception. Will definitely be returning and recommending.

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely experience recently at the Spa. We had a very warm welcome at check-in (didn't get the lady's name) but she kindly accommodated our time slots better for the mud experience. Thank you. We had a lovely afternoon, I would definitely come back here.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place for relaxing
Negative experience: NOT A RELAXING DAY Minus 5 stars if I could. Over priced for what you get. Try Nirvana or Malvern Spa - same price 100%better value. We were treated like 2nd class citizens. And when I wrote to complain, Lauren just threw every complaint back in my face. " Sorry to hear you feel that way about your spa day ( sorry, not sorry) I paid £390 for the two of us to have a special day. Laurens answers. " Yes your package did include a free drinks which we failed to do and I apologize for that" I had asked for our drinks which I shouldn't have to and was rudely told our package didn't include drinks. I complained the the lunch was Luke warm - Lauren said we must have been late for lunch and I should have complained straight away"- we were actually a few minutes early and to be honest I was going to let that one slip as we were trying to have a chill day. I asked for a refund on our Rasul which was not working. After waiting half an hour, I had to go to the reception covered in mud. girl said she would switch the sauna on manually and we would just have to shower outside. No apologies. Lauren basically said that we're having trouble with Rasul that day so she would honour a refund just for that. She said it was out of their control so no apology given No apologies... And if they knew it was faulty then, why were we not given apology and refund to us straight away??? Thought they could brush it under the carpet, probably laugh about me walking round covered in mud and keep our £70 Why have I had to get angry?? Not good. I need another spa day to recover from this one. Bet you Lauren comes back with another backlash. And just to be clear the young gentleman at holiday inn reception was 5 star polite empathetic, thanked me for bringing this to their attention and brought over complimentary drinks Thank you, lovely man
Fantastic experience: I've had a great experience with my friend during our recent visit at Ana Spa. The food was good, the place very clean, well-organized and everyone was kind and efficient, even when the steam room had a slight malfunction. Poppy and her colleagues were very helpful and friendly. I have, unfortunately, witnessed a discussion between an extremely rude customer and Poppy. As I work with people myself, I would say she handled it very calmly and professionally. A front desk receptionist that any company would benefit from having. Overall- a very good experience. I fully recommend it. I am looking forward to my next visit.
Positive experience: My experience at the spa was very good. I had two 90-minute treatments across 2 days accompanied by the spa access and lunch. I arrived at reception and filled out a consultation form. I completed the form and they asked me what I wanted to pre-order for lunch. The menu was good, with plenty of light bites to choose from. I chose the cheese and onion sandwich and the soup of the day, which was tomato. After choosing my lunch, I was provided with a tour around the spa. I left my stuff in the provided lockers, and was then directed to the relaxation room where my therapist quickly greeted me. The treatment rooms were nice, and they had a good ambiance. The massage bed was soft and the room was at a comfortable temperature. The full body massage treatment started off very well and I was completely relaxed. However, a very loud fire alarm drill went off over half way through the 90 minute treatment which completely destroyed the relaxation and ambiance as we had to walk outside to a fire point in our dressing gowns. The therapists did profusely apologise multiple times, one of them even said that the treatment would be restated, but it wasn’t. As a result I Iost at least 10 minutes of treatment time, for the time it took for me to get changed and walk to the fire point. After the fire check was completed, the massage thereafter was spoiled as I was quite on edge. I wasn’t offered anything to make up for it, and my treatment wasn’t extended or restarted. I would have provided a 5 star review if the spa had addressed the interruption and the lost time. I didn’t raise it at the time, to see if they would eventually address it during the rest of my spa day. In hindsight, I probably should have said something there and then but I didn’t. After my treatment ended, it was lunch time. The food I had ordered earlier was ready to go on the table waiting for me. It was hot, delicious, and nicely presented. The sandwich in particular was delicious and was made with super fresh bread and cheese. I let my food go down for a while and then headed to the spa thermal area. There was a sauna, foot spa, steam room, a sensory shower, and large hot tub along with a number of pool beds. I spent a number of hours here after my treatment enjoying the facilities. The steam room was my favourite room as there was plenty of steam. After the end of my spa day, I eventually got to the point of feeling pretty good and relaxed. As I said above, it would have been a 5 star review had the spa provided some form of compensation after the alarm went off mid-treatment. Thank you for the experience. I would definitely return.
Positive experience: Excellent service and value for money! Loved the (vegan option) afternoon tea, delicious food and lots of variety - we were super impressed! The spa is quite small but has everything you'd want or expect. Everything was very clean. The team are lovely, and we enjoyed the treatments. First visit was in July with my partner, and just returned with my best friend in September. One thing to watch out for is the parking, despite entering my car reg upon arrival this recent visit, I have just received a £100 parking fine!!! Otherwise it would be a 5 star review.
Positive experience: Treatments were wonderful. Just such a shame we were at different times so 1 of us had to be on her own for an hour. Not the most attentive of staff. Asked for extra cushions for sun bed outside for THREE of us. Told poss in wash and none available. No alternatives offered. Were firmly told we shouldn't be wearing dressing gowns out of spa area. Even though we were staying night and promised would bring back. We couldn't have gone back to rooms in just swim wear!! Some communication needs to be improved between spa and hotel!!

Positive experience: Small. In basement of the hotel. Not many seats and not a pool more a large jacuzzi. You eat in a dining area at a specified table in basement. Meal is chosen on arrival and sent for from hotel kitchen. Mine came quickly someone else's took longer. Treatment was lovely and pleasant.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful day at Ana spa celebrating my 40th birthday. Sarah did an incredible job of organising everything for us and it was a lovely touch to have balloon and decorations at our table. The treatments, food, facilities and service were all fantastic and the day ran so smoothly. Thank you for a really lovely day, we’ll definitely be back. Ps The Rasul experience was amazing - definitely worth a try if you’ve never done it before.

Fantastic experience: This review is only for the spa and the restaurant, we didn't stay over. There was plenty of parking on-site. The reception team was helpful and directed us where we needed to go. The spa staff was very friendly and welcoming, I was able to book the spa day and a treatment very easily over the phone. The facilities were modern, well maintained and clean. One of the better spas as of recent experiences. Onto the treatment, there was a lush relaxation room, where you wait for your treatment. We were kept informed all the time. We were a couple but were taken to two separate treatment rooms. Would like to say that both Julie and Bonny did an excellent job and we will be coming back. We also had a drinks and dinner as this spa is in a hotel. We sat by the window, which had a lovely view. There was plenty to choose from in the menu. We didn't have to wait long for the food. The portions were generous, and the food was very tasty. Overall good value for money. Would definitely recommend this place for a spa day and food.
Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed our over night stay here. Stayed prior to our cruise. Staff were very friendly breakfast was lovely Didn't use the spa so cannot comment on the facilities. We would definitely use this hotel again if sailing from Southampton.
Positive experience: Just to be clear my scoring system: 1/ Don't go, just don't. 2/ I can't recommend going 3/ I enjoyed it but probably won't go back 4/ I enjoyed it, would go back if invited by someone 5/ I enjoyed it, would invite others there myself Had a nice spa area and Rasul here with Mrs I. Really tidy but small - no swimming pool and the experience shower wasn't working when we were there. Could t rinse between sauna and steam... Had a better Rasul. The room was obviously secure but the 3 doors didn't fill one with confidence! The roof shower inside the Rasul chamber couldn't manually be operated to cool the room (there were buttons but not functioning) and the seats got red hot - had to cool them down with the hose! Still... Always enjoy a Rasul and these sound bad but didn't ruin it - we still came out feeling relaxed.
Positive experience: Nice spa. Not awfully big, and disappointed that the experience showers were out of service. Fab massage and facial. Nice lunch. Staff didn't offer any drink at all, not even water, and I had to ask for drinks menu.

Negative experience: This spa comes from a place of No, nothing can be changed at all if you book a spa day. The manager is strict on this even if you want to swap for a cheaper treatment and even when they advertise an offer by mistake, they won't honour it. We tried to discuss with a duty manager but was left with one blank voicemail in response and our return calls were ignored.It certainly zapped the fun out of the day so we cancelled the day and went elsewhere.
Negative experience: Terrible experience and service. I was really looking forward to this treatment, my husband had booked it over the phone with them 4 days earlier for my birthday. They asked him to pay in full, which he did no questions asked. I turned up for my treatment (leaving early from work) to be told there was no booking under either of our names and that the staff had gone home for the day. I now have to wait for them to call me at a later date to arrange a refund. Poor organisation and service.

Positive experience: Nice spa with very nice people. No swimming pool but a large hot tub. The actual spa is quite small especially noticeable in winter...just 6 beds available. Very good priced treatments & spa days. Lacking some of the frills from other spas but the price reflects this.
