Positive experience: The one in Warwickshire Shopping Park is newly refurbished, looks good, doesn'thave enough mirrors although they are supper important for the correct execution of movements especially in newbies, almost clean ( except the women toilets which are never cleaned properly and the cold water tap is not working)

Negative experience: Need a lot of money. I mean a lot of money . But it's an experience.
Negative experience: Joined and stayed for a few months weren't keen on it gets extremely busy with more people interested in Instagram and snap chat that actually using the machines there sitting on not for me Id not join again

Negative experience: Hi, I emailed and left an instagram message many days ago and still no reply. The female cleaner who cleans the males changing rooms, NEVER knocks or asks if anyone is presentable. She just walks in. Not only myself but loads of others are either getting ready for a shower, or just coming out the shower which not only makes me feel uncomfortable, but everyone else. This happens pretty much everyday (an this morning already) If it was a male doing it in the females, that would be the same.. there’s no point in telling the manager as this won’t get addressed.

Negative experience: Imagine a gym giving out big cakes, that's them today. Next week it will be vodka at AA and heroine to the homeless! These places have no accountability

Fantastic experience: Nice clean well equipped gym with safe free parking in a shopping area. The gym is pretty busy but due to the lot of stuff there is no need for waiting for a machine.

Positive experience: Classes are good, something for everyone, really enjoy this gym. However, very disappointing tonight (23.04.24) as no instructor turned up for Lift class. 20 odd people just left standing around with no info forthcoming. No stand-in supplied although another Lift instructor was just wandering around. Not good enough to leave an almost full class with no info. Some of us organised ourselves into a mini workout of our own in the end.

Fantastic experience: I'm genuinely impressed by this Puregym branch as i've visited many around the UK. It's maintained with care, offering a diverse range of equipment for all fitness levels. Positive experience: Update. They have completely renovated this gym and have about 12 racks !!! it's much better now. Was quiet at 9:00pm on Saturday Update. Came back on a Sunday. Gave up. No racks free and just hoards of friends hogging the work out areas. Canceling pure gym. Update. Couldn't finish my work out today. Literally one of everything. Only one t bar row. And it's attached to the only one deadlift rack so constantly busy. It's 10:30pm on a Friday. Also had to queue up for the one rowing machine. Really not good enough tbh. Oh but of course they have about 20 million treadmills / cross trainers ) bikes not in use Yeah OK. came at 6:30am pretty busy. Given the size of the space they need a LOT more machines and racks. I've been in gym half this size with double the gear. Having to queue up for the row machine. There is only one !!!

Fantastic experience: it's a nice gym overall but can't understand why is the music turned off sometimes, or really really low volume ? specially in the weekend and evenings ? also wouldn't hurt some more equipment downstairs as it's plenty of space near the entrance / exit ...

Fantastic experience: Tried my first ever gym class at Pure Gym Warwickshire Shopping Park on a Sunday afternoon with Jamie Scott.It was a circuits gym class. Great fun, definitely you can feel the burn. You can feel that you definitely had a workout. Jamie made sure to show me how to do a circuit routine if I was unsure. Fantastic PT

Fantastic experience: I've trained in multiple PureGym's across the years and this has been consistently the best. The kit is what you would expect from any PureGym but what I like about this one compared to others is A) the changing rooms are cleaned properly, B) the staff actually smile and are helpful. This sets them apart from most of the others!

Positive experience: Good budget gym, equipment is well maintained, cleaning materials upstairs for wiping down the cardio machines, water fountains, useful app to see how busy the gym is and use a QR code for access. The male changing rooms stink though.

Fantastic experience: First time back tonight. Joined last year, went on a bit of a downer then picked up a rather annoying yet nasty back injury. Feels great to finally be able to enjoy this gym again. Night owl I am, anything past midnight does me. Nice and quiet, usually the same faces in each night, fantastic way to unwind after a day at work.

Positive experience: Nice and clean location, the showers though, always smell of wee. A bit too crowded sometimes, not enough machines for the people waiting to train, too many treadmills, and bicycles, too little of anything else.

Positive experience: Aaaah the paper towels have been taken away

PureGym prides itself on being able to offer state of the art fitness facilities to our members in a safe and welcoming environment. We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to remove self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste. We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment. Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Equipment is always clean, as is the gym floor, the vending machines well stocked. Staff are friendly and other hun goers are nice, I’ve never felt intimidated in this gym.

Positive experience: Great gym with lots of equipment but the AC is never on and it gets very smelly, I had to quit as the smell was too much

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym. It is open 24 hours and it is a very reasonable price per month. This has meant that where there have been weeks when I have been really busy and I haven't been, the subscription is still worth it and I make up for this when I have more free time. I love attending the classes that are included in my subscription and the personal trainers are all very friendly and supportive. Downloading the app is a must, where I can see when classes are available, who is leading them and how busy the gym is. It gives me individual work outs that I can complete at home and demonstrates through simple videos how I can use the machines in the gym. There is a huge variety of equipment and each machine has clear directions on it so I can also independently learn as I go. I have asked the personal trainers if I have been unsure and they are happy to help. I was a bit self-conscious attending initially but this quickly disappeared as there is always a respectful atmosphere here where everyone is focused on their own fitness journey.

Negative experience: One of the worst gyms I’ve ever used! People never put weights back, staff don’t care and act like they’re blind. Also never do anything about it. Overcrowded 90% of the time, always have to wait to use the equipment. Air is unbreathable as they keep the ventilation to the minimum. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. Fantastic experience: It has a lot of space which includes 2 floors. It is open 24/7 which is another bonus. Has good changing spaces and a water fountain. It has a wide range of equipment.

Fantastic experience: This isn't my local PureGym as I was 150 miles from home. I found this gym spacious and well equipped. It wasn't that busy and felt friendly. I noticed how conscious people were in sanitizing equipment after use, making good use of the cleaning 'station' which supplied disinfectant spray and paper towels. I'll definitely use this branch again when back in the Midlands.

Positive experience: Good and friendly vibe from staff. Not keen on the people who go there, especially down stairs, didn’t feel welcome. Have a knee injury, wearing a brace a lot of staring. Not diverse enough downstairs being a woman felt unwelcome. Again staff brilliant.

Positive experience: Generally pretty good can get a bit busy at times but the app lets you see how many people are there before you set out. Fairly priced too.

Negative experience: Would be ok if wasn't for some meat head members hogging equipment. They also seem very used to being able to do so and telling others to get off equipment. Staff obviously don't check this behaviour. Looking through the existing reviews it seems this has been an on going problem at the gym especially with meat heads. I wouldn't mind but they seem to appear at off peak times and don't do classes so financially are the lowest value customers. I suggest the staff nip it in the bud.

Negative experience: I have been a member since the Warwickshire Pure Gym first opened. The fact that I am still a member is a testament to what pure gym is the best at. It’s accessibility. Its 24/7 access is it’s only redeemable feature. Apart from that, Pure Gyms, including this one are the Poundland equivalent of shops. The equipment here is between substandard and standard, the facilities very much the same. It’s not often that I have been in contact with any of the staff at the gym, but for the many years I’ve been here I only recall one positive encounter; worst was when my coat had been stolen from the locker room. This didn’t particular annoy me surprisingly, but what did, was the lack of empathy towards the incident. Not a single apology for the matter was given to me verbally or via email. Showing care towards your membership base is basic 101, and it’s clear some of the staff are just old kids straight from school with no proper experience or etiquette. The clientele at gyms, especially at “low priced” gyms are always a bit questionable. Here it is no different. The no go times are between 17:00-20:00 weekdays, it’s simply not big enough to occupy current capacities. Is it worth £20 a month… sure… but if you’re expecting quality standards, then you may wish to look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Nice equipment comfortable temperature. Not too busy Saturday morning between 8 & 9am. Some people not cleaning down equipment they have used though but I cleaned mine before and after use as plenty of cleaning facilities available.

Negative experience: Member of staff approved to bring equipment in and to leave it overnight at PureGym Coventry Warwickshire Shopping Park. Next thing you know, manager left and the new one threw it away! Poor communication and rude when trying to sort it out. Kept playing the rules card to cover their backs. There was no resolution although I've spent a lot of money on the equipment. Not to be trusted!!!

Negative experience: As I can't reply to to their reply on my last review I'd like to continue on here by adding the timeline of events which have happened and the reason why the 7 days equipment rule shouldn't apply as we've received direct approval from them therefore the rule becomes obsolete: As I think this issue was a miss communication on their side internally, I do not consider I have broken any rules as long as I’ve been given permission to leave equipment ( a piece of lino flooring) at their gym over a few nights by one of the staff members on the 12th December. I was clearly instructed by their colleague, Lynsey, that next time I’m in the gym, a manager will talk to me about keeping the lino at their gym for a longer period. In no shape or form I’ve been told to get in touch with anyone but that someone at the gym will get in touch with myself next time I’m in! Hence why we didn’t think this would’ve been a problem or that anyone will ‘remove’ it and throw it away. Otherwise I would’ve taken it back home on the same day after use. After that session, we’ve left it in a corner in the studio away from anyone’s harm and as mentioned to Lynsey. In the meantime we were under the impression that this will be communicated internally and when we’re back we would have our answer! However the following session we came in on the 14th December, our lino has disappeared from where we’ve last left it in the studio. We then spoke to Kyle in order to check where the lino is! He then found someone that was higher up (from my understanding one of the managers that’ve left recently) and showed us that the lino was placed next to the stairs by the cleaning station. This would’ve been the perfect opportunity to be told if we could keep it or not but instead we’ve been left to use it again. Which for us meant that we now have permission to keep using it and leaving it there indefinitely. After the session, we brought it back to where we found it, next to the stairs. At this point we thought that everything’s been solved internally as they’ve had the opportunity to advise us otherwise and they didn’t! Fast forward to the 29th December when we next attended the gym, our lino has disappeared from next to the stairs and have been told by Kyle that the lino has been removed. We than were advised to speak to Monika which we did the following day over the phone. If we would’ve been told to follow up with Monika from the beginning, we would have straight away! Unfortunately, we haven’t been told this as Monika indicated in her email! My friend, Catalin has been with me and witnessed all of the line of events mentioned above and can also confirm what’s happened. That piece of equipment is my entire career built over 15 years and I’m really disappointed they have decided to throw it away without consulting me or advising that this will happen! The line of events above clearly shows miss communication on their side as we would’ve never left it there if you they would've said that we’re not allowed to. We’ve clearly followed proceedings on our side and have done as instructed. Please see screenshot of our initial conversation before bringing the lino in the gym advising us to speak to a member of staff, which we did! At no point in this conversation have been told to speak to Monika directly. Lastly, Monika mentioned to myself over the phone, more than 3 times, that after an internal investigation, we will have a meeting with myself to resolve this complaint. Her email indicated the fact they do not want to deal with this matter moving forward which clearly shows again, the lack of professionalism and I find it disturbing the way they treat their members.

Positive experience: Generally a good gym with decent range of equipment. Let down a little due to a few things. The size (fairly small) means it can get very busy without excessive numbers in there, there are some times of day that it is genuinely prohibitive unless you're desperate. The other thing is that equipment is sometimes not maintained well (eg the v shaped handles for the cable machines commonly have no rubber on them, and bare metal makes them difficult to use). One of the biggest issues for me is that equipment that is standard in other puregyms is either not present or not made available here (seems to be for exclusive use of some PTs and their clients). For example, a EZ type bar with single cable attachment seems to present at all other puregyms for use by all, but here seems to only be permitted to be used if you are friends with a particular PT. Not sure if it is owned by that PT, but seems to be standard equipment elsewhere so really can't understand if this is the case. Update following response from Puregym: I do appreciate Puregym taking the time to respond, but the generic nature of this doesn't help with any of my points, most significantly those that can easily be addressed around equipment. I would love to put comments in the suggestions box but I have not been able to find this in the gym either upstairs or downstairs. If there is one, it should be placed in a more visible location. Unfortunately I have to train out of hours to avoid congested times, so have not seen the manager around either.
Hi there, thanks for your review. Our gyms are very popular and can become busy, especially at peak times! The busyness does fluctuate throughout the day, and from day-to-day. There is a section on the website and the app which shows how many people are in at that time which is a great way to help plan your session. We have over 220 bits of kit in each gym and aim to have a broad spread, getting the balance right between cardio and weights. Fantastic experience: Great gym, great value...no contract and open 24hrs. Gets busy as peak times but never have to wait for equipment as there's so many different types of equipment to use, from all the various CV machines to weight training apparatus and free weights. Parking is free in the Warwickshire Shopping Park behind Morissons in Binley. There's no sauna or steam rooms etc as this is purely a gym, but that's all I needed and would highly recommend it.
